They made sure I liked the sound of the new muffler before welding it on. I was out in a little over an hour. Now my car is so comfortable to drive. Excellent service! Any more muffler/exhaust work I'm definitely coming back here.

I've had bad experiences in the past when it comes to finding a trust worthy mechanic. At Midas in Brookline I was handled with care and felt my car was well taken care of. The service was timely they did everything they said they were going to do && If they fix your brakes or routers you get a lifetime warranty. I was in serious need of an oil change and who knows what else. At the end of my day when I least want to stop and get it done, I called Midas and the guys there were extremely helpful! I was able to get in before they closed, even though I was kind of on the late side. They still made sure that everything was checked and all set before letting me head out. I came in with a car that was limping along and was almost gonna be toast.These guys at this Midas brought my cars life back to its prime.I’ve never been so happy about my car before.It runs better now then the day i bought it..You gotta ask to see this tall like a giraffe dude named Harry Hes like the Yao Ming of cars and hands down this is the best spot to fix your cars problems.He did help me get financed and I got all my repairs in just and an only.5 stars Great Job Harry!

Made appointment, they seemed pretty nice. I left with a bad wheel alignment, and I payed for an alignment.I have to wait extra 2 hours because the guy who does the alignment wasn't there. If they couldn't do it why make the appointment and charge me for it? The worst part is I didn't feel taken care of. They just looked at me like there's not much we can do

He was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure my car was in great condition. He made sure I was done on time to pick up my son from school which I really appreciated. I came in with a low tire and the gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful, especially given that they were busy and I showed up unannounced. They took my car in and I was in and out within an hour AND they only charged me $30 to fix a small hole in my tire. Awesome service and will definitely go back!

i did not get the chance to read the reviews before coming here as my car broke down a few miles from this shop and i had no choice at the time. so when i finally did get a chance i was a bit nervous as i read countless reviews of the awesome manager named harry and then a few negative ones in between. it didnt make sense at the time - the contrast of reviews. Now that my vehicle is back on the road - i will say this: there is nothing negative at all anyone can say about harry and his team. what they do here to repair cars and help people is nothing short of miraculous. it is almost magic. This shop is very small, seems like it should only be capable of doing maybe 10 cars at a time. but they are constantly taking in cars and people who trust in them for their repairs and they do not mind the wait because this is probably the only honest repair shop in the entire new england area. everyone i met here had a great attitude and they all were so happy to follow the orders and directions of their captain harry. sitting there for several hours (my car was pretty broken) i was able to watch this man plead with parts places for help, ask his technicians if they were okay doing certain actions that were above and beyond the scope of their job description - all to help the customer save money and time! i couldnt believe how this man actually favored helping save the customer money over making a huge profit. i watched this man crawl under a car, do a simple FREE repair on someone im guessing is a long time customer, negotiate a hundreds of dollars savings to another client, explain thoroughly to me the problems with my car (i am no car expert, but i felt so comfortable with his explanations), answer several calls - all in a 5-10 minute span. then i find out he is not even the owner! i cant wrap my head around how lucky this corporation is to have such a hardworking, likeable, and honest man. i was so delighted and impressed that i gave the man a 500 dollar tip (he saved me atleast 2400 from the dealerships phone quote). after adamantly refusing several times to take the money, i watched as he made sure all his employees got some of the money i was happy to give. you can tell they all love this man. it would be a huge disservice if i did not declare to the world this mans existence in our community. shame on all the people leaving those nasty reviews that are very obvious an effort to damage a places reputation because of their own nasty agendas!

Harry, the owner and operator of the place, is a great guy and very talented. The one thing that people don't realize is that Midas doesn't do just mufflers and oil changes, they do every kind of auto repair work.I went there for problems with air with my conditioning and found out it really wasn't my air conditioning but instead my alternator and they took care of everything at a very reasonable price. Can't say enough good things about the place. Very trustworthy and talented.

I have visited this location several times now for my car repairs. I continue to be impressed by harry and his staff. I have heard the way he has spoken to other customers, as well as his staff and he is nothing short of professional and honest. This location doesn’t come off as just another shop out to take your money. I know this because I sat in the waiting room listening to how harry approaches every customer and car, makes phone calls for better parts pricing, and ask his technicians in detail about the cars they are working on. This shop may not be the cheapest, but it’s definitely not over priced and well worth it to not pay for things you don’t need. They will honestly tell you when you don’t need something or if it can wait until later. In the last year, I have saved hundreds of dollars from dealer estimates for the same repairs. There is a reason why this place stays busy, it’s because they are trusted, honest, efficient and explain things for you to understand things that other shops won’t. I definitely recommend this shop and I will never let any of my family or friends go anywhere else but here.

I moved here from out of state and was nervous to find a new mechanic as my last mechanic was a trusted friend. The guys at Midas have taken care of me the whole time I've been here. They look for ways to make it less expefor me but still went me to get the most quality parts. They are extremely friendly and I recommend them to anyone who is looking for help with their car!

I went in with my Jeep and a rattle around the muffler that sounded like the heat shield was loose. A guy there (named Charlie) took a look and confirmed my guess. Then, a different guy came out with paper foot mat and plastic liner to protect the seat, and drove it in and put it onto a lift. Then, about 10-15 minutes later I was told it was fixed. They removed the heat shield as it was broken and not necessary. It only cost $25 total! Friendly, professional and courteous people that provide a great value and service to the community and neighborhood.

A hidden gem. Made an appointment for an oil change which was still respectfully honored even though I arrived late. My car was making a high pitched squeaking sound. I didn't think it could be my breaks since I had the dealership where I leased my vehicle install breaks just last November. My friend recommended I check out Midas in Brookline since she recently had a good experience and felt she got a fair deal. Keith and Harry both diagnosed the problem immediately and without even lifting my car into a bay, they could see both front and back breaks were in need of replacing. I couldn't believe it!! I had spent over $700 last year just on my back breaks. They took my car in and told me to come back in a few hours. They were nice enough to show me how the last breaks were installed incorrectly and suggested I go back to my dealership, with the Midas diagnosis and invoice, to try and get some money back. The pricing was so fair and the customer service was prompt, professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to bring my car back here in the future.

I had a very pleasant experience dealing with Joe and Keith at this location - Midas in Brookline on Route 9. I had a brake job, caliper and tie rods changed on my Jeep. They worked really hard to ensure the safety of my jeep and identified a few issues when I brought it in. They went out of their way to ensure that I am getting a good quote and did the work right away, completing earlier than originally expected. While the jeep was in the shop, they identified another minor issue and called me to let me know to be sure I would get it fixed while they have it disassembled. I've owned a few older cars over the years and have taken them to various shops, but the impeccable service they provided has earned them a loyal customer. I am very pleased with the service and will be back. Thank you!

Friendly and helpful! After my car battery died, I called and they verified that they had the right battery in stock before I got a jump and drove down there. They told me up front how much it would be to have them change it and offered that I could change the battery myself in the parking lot if I would prefer. While I was working on it, they came out to check on me and make sure I was getting along OK, which I very much appreciated!

I went in for an oil change on a very busy Saturday. I had a reservation so was in and out in just over an hour. Without an appointment, I think I might have been asked to return at a less busy time. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable (I heard conversations with other customers) and polite. At the end, I was told of a few issues that needed watching but was not told that I had to have something done right away. I am always suspicious when I bring in my car and am told something HAS to be done immediately. Instead, I was told I seem to keep my car in good condition. This Midas seems to operate as a full service garage for many people as I heard the owner talking to people he knows by name and who seem to like and trust him for major issues. This Midas was a good find for me.

brought my moms car here.. and eventhough they were so busy they took us in and had the car done before the end of the day. I was a bit scared that they would take advantage of the emergency like so many other shops, but they pricing was way less than I thought it would be. Went in because my left driver side tire was low according to the sensors. I checked and it was fine. Made an appointment with midas to figure this out. Turns out my tires were rotated but the system was never reset. My front tire was low which makes much more sense. They figured this out quickly and didn't charge me. Highly recommend midas of brookline.

When you think of Midas you probably also think mediocre or moderate. You might be wrong, you might not, but one thing Harry at Brookline Midas is not, is either of those. Harry actually shows compassion and care towards his customers and employees. He ensures he provides the best deals he can offer at the time, and he does not disappoint. They may not have been able to fix my tire but they were able to still gain a customer. If he always treats his customers like this then he deserves a raise.

They performed the oil change however it was quite sloppy and not as meticulously as one would expect from a professional shop. If you want an average job done go ahead. Don't go here if you actually care about your vehicle Update: Manager excused the inconveniences I incurred and was overall very polite. However I paid the advertised price and the manager claimed I should have to pay a higher price since it was a Mercedes, to reflect the dealerships hourly rate which I believe is ridiculous. This information CAN'T be found anywhere on MIDAS official website.

I came to this Midas after hearing a strange scraping sound coming from my rear brakes. They did an assessment and told me the cost and it was much more than I would have thought. I told them I would pay to do what was critical right now, but I would have to wait longer for the other things that were also crucial, but not as critical. Then they saw I was a nurse. They later called me to tell me they added additional significant discounts off of labor costs, so that I could afford to get everything done that I needed and not have to worry about the finances. They did not need to do something that generous, but they did out of the kindness of their hearts. They said they know everyone is working incredibly hard right now during this crazy time (i.e., COVID-19), and they wanted to lighten my burden in any way they could. Again - INCREDIBLY NICE and something they did not need to do! They just wanted to! I would highly recommend this Midas. Good people work here.

I've been taking my car here on and off for a while now. Until recently, I considered them just a convenient shop to handle little things (oil changes, tire rotations). However, in the past 6 months, this shop has really stepped up its game. They recognized that my car (4th gen Camaro) saw double duty as a daily driver and a weekend toy, and that certain standard parts wouldn't cut it for track and auto-X use. Harry was a trooper every step of the way. From working with me to get the right parts (some harder to find), to assigning the right tech to diagnose the suspension issue with my car, he made the whole process incredibly transparent. Pricing is very fair, and the work is well done. It can be a pain to find a mechanic in Boston, but it's great to know that these guys are just around the corner. Definitely recommend.

Decent place. I go there for my oil changes. They do a courtesy check on your car and let you know what needs to be changed or fixed. I don't know how well they check however, because I went for 2 oil changes 6 mths apart without getting any of the suggested work done and they gave me two totally separate lists of things that needed to be done. I know others that have had issues with this location, but I haven't had any major issues with them yet

I drive here from VA and have the engine checked as there is alarm on the dashboard. They help me to check the engine and tell me there is nothing to worry since it is all about exhaust system. The engine is running well. So I can continue my trip. They are very kind and really help me out.

Harry and the guys at Midas-Brookline, were first class. I went in to get an oil change and to have them put a new regulator in for my rear passenger side window, and they did a fantastic job. Harry from the start was up front with me about cost and amount of time it would take to finish the work and really made the experience stress free. I even had my two year old son with me when we went in, and without me even asking Harry was nice enough to put cartoons on for him on the waiting room TV. My son was being a hand full for the short time we were there, and not once did I get a weird look or asked to try and quiet my son down. It’s things like that, going above and beyond for his customers, that I feel, truly sets Harry and the guys at Midas-Brookline apart from the rest.
