My car randomly start vibrating one day as I was driving on the highway so I called this place after seeing all the reviews. Freddy ended up helping me out. He took a my car for a test drive to see if the same thing occurred (it didn't) but he offered to take a through look underneath the hood to make sure that it was safe for me to drive before leaving the shop - which I really appreciated. Once he lifted the car, he noticed my brake pads were worn out and strongly suggested to change them because they were dangerously thin. He showed me my old, worn out ones and the new ones (with the rotor) that he installed. My car drives so much smoother now. Freddy is friendly and honest with everything. I felt it was a pretty good deal for what I had done. Thank you for the great service! Update: I went back for my tire change a few weeks later and George helped me out (I also saw Freddy again). Very quick service, ~2 hours for the entire process, and they also had very reasonable rates. Everyone is very friendly here. Thanks again!

I will say, I am moving to Chicago and one of the places I will miss most is having a reliable and friendly mechanic in my area. I have been going to this location for years now and they have never let me down. It is a full service gas station, with some of the best pricing in the area. The people who work and run this location are the nicest and some of the most well informed mechanics I have had work on my car. Because I have religiously come here they recognize me from when I drive up or even when I just drive by. I always can expect a wave, and if I ever need an emergency service of my vehicle they without question get me in usually day of. Please come and support this local business! They will treat you better and price you very fairly for their work. I will miss these guys!

I have gone to this auto shop twice now - once to replace my front brakes and rotors and the second time for the rear brakes and rotors. The owner of the shop George is so kind, it is clear he is running an honest and fair business. He explains everything and he is always right on estimating how much time it will take to complete the service. The prices are incredibly fair and competitive and I really appreciate how this shop keeps the prices stable amidst rising costs of prices everywhere. The quotes they have given me have ranged from $200-$500 less than other auto shops or the dealership in the area and the quality of service is stellar. Overall, I received excellent service can’t recommend this place enough!! The shop has earned me as a repeat customer for any future servicing needs! A mechanic you can trust is worth his weight in gold. I brought my car in after it broke down with no idea what was going on. It was probably pretty obvious I don't know much about cars, and I'm always wary of mechanics trying to take advantage of that (especially since I'm a young woman). George was absolutely fantastic. He talked to me honestly about what he found that needed fixing, what it would cost to fix it, and why (parts vs labor). He made sure I knew what was going on and what I was agreeing to without being patronizing, and didn't try to upsell me or add on a bunch of services. (He was happy to check the oil and rotate my tires - but only after I asked him to!) It's been over a week and the car is still driving perfectly. I'll definitely be bringing my car in for as long as I'm in the area.

They were incredibly sincere on the phone, told me to come by Thursday morning at 8AM and our car was finished by 11:30AM. One time, my car had failed inspection due to an issue with the e-brake. Not only did they fix the e-brake, but they took my car to get re-inspected! Just incredible service and genuine, nice people. We had a second amazing experience with George at Brighton Motors that left me in awe. My son's been in school in Boston, and was about to move to LA. A few weeks before his departure the engine in his 2008 Subaru failed from an oil problem. George saved the day. He found and tested a replacement engine, changed the timing belt, and fixed every other issue with the car--all in just a few days and at a price that was more than fair. I've dealt with a lot of mechanics over the years, and George is the best by a mile.

My engine light came on while I was at work and brought it to the closest auto repair shop I could find (in the south shore) and turns out I needed a catalytic converter and they gave me an estimate of $2200. For some reason, it didn’t feel right. So yesterday I brought my car to Brighton Motor Service and George did confirm I needed to replace my converter, but NOT at $2200, he charged me about HALF of my first quote. He is super honest and completely fair pricing. I’ll be telling all of my friends and family to go to Brighton Motor Service from now on. I’m super grateful. Endless thank yous!

I would definitely return here, and feel in good hands with the team - especially Freddy, who was phenomenal while I was there. I called ahead for an oil change, and was able to wait while they performed the standard change. They were expecting me and very kind while I waited. My check engine light was on (I already knew why), and they didn't push me on it at all. I did ask about it, and got really helpful advice. Brighton Motor Service was amazing and a lifesaver! My car's muffler started making really loud noises on Saturday night and I needed to drive an hour to work on Monday. Desperately looking for a car service place in the Boston area that opens on a Sunday, a friend told me about this place. Everyone at Brighton Motor Service was super kind and helpful. They found a way to fix my muffler without requiring me to pay loads of money to replace the entire thing. They even brought in a welder late Sunday afternoon to help with the repair. That all happened over 9 months ago, and my car has been working well. Today, while visiting my family, I took my car to my family's regular mechanic for an overall checkup and he said Brighton Motor Service did an excellent job repairing my muffler, and this praise reminded me to write a review. In addition to doing a great job fixing my car, everyone at Brighton Motor Service was really kind. Since I live nearly half an hour from Brighton, I stayed and waited for the car to be fixed. The owner offered me his own desk and chair for me to work on my school paper. When they ordered pizza for lunch, they even offered me a slice. They were all such nice people and the price was really fair.

Had a great experience here. I foolishly put off getting my brakes serviced before a 200 mile trip, and I stopped by just a few hours before my departure. They took my car (Subaru Impreza) in first thing, and put 2 guys on the car to get it done quickly. A full brake job (replaced all pads and rotors) was completed in an hour. Very impressed with the honesty, service, and the quality of the parts (noticably better than OEM). The pricing was completely fair as well. His initial quote was spot on, no surprises. I was on my merry way ahead of schedule thanks to these guys! I'll be back!

The most helpful people I’ve ever met! The went above and beyond to bring my car, which had died in the middle of the road, to their shop. They literally pushed my car one mile down the road and kept in touch with me with updates while I was stuck at work. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do as the car probably had an electrical problem and had to be taken to a Toyota dealership. I was still stuck at work, so they let me keep my car at their shop overnight until I could arrange to have it towed the next day. You guys from Brighton Motor Service have helped me immensely. Honest and caring mechanics, and very fair prices. I came in because my car wouldn’t start one day and it ended up being a faulty wire in my car’s computer system that kept killing my battery and alternator. George gave me a tow a couple times and though we had to try a couple different things before we found the source of the problem, I was always kept in the loop and never felt like they were doing any work that wasn’t necessary. I’ll happily come back for any future car maintenance because of the quality service I received.

Based on the reviews, I decided to give the dealership a miss and leave my car with George for a substantial service and general tune-up. Bottom line is that I could not be happier as George is a really nice guy with integrity and was up front about what the car did and did not need. I suggested a few jobs that I thought might need attention and he looked, as promised and told me where work did need done and where it didn't. Great communication, clear description of completed works, quick turnaround and a fair price. I would totally recommend this business and George.

After reading some positive Google reviews, I decided to take my car here for an oil change and a check up. I called on a Saturday morning to see if they were available and they fit me in less than an hour later. They did an oil change, replaced brake pads, and a couple other things in a short amount of time and were extremely reasonably priced. They were very helpful and friendly. I messaged BMS because my brake pads were making noise and I didn't know what was wrong with them. I took my car to Meineke and they were so bad. They told me that I needed all this other stuff and that it would cost me a fortune. Freddy and his team were amazing. They asked me to bring my car in the next day and gave me the right quote and were amazing in fixing my car. Their prices are reasonable and worth the money. I highly recommend BMS. If you live anywhere in or around Boston and you go to any other garage, you are crazy. This business is the single most honest car garage I've ever been to. I have a lot of miles on my Jeep, and they keep me on the road. They are transparent about pricing, and George works tirelessly to guarantee the best possible price on repairs. My experience at Brighton Motor Service was not perfect, but I decided to give five stars because of the way I was treated there. Even more importantly, I want other people to realize that this is a reliable auto service station with reasonable prices (I will describe the issues I had and what I paid later). I have owned a car for 1.5 years and had to make certain repairs at two other places. For none of them I was willing to write a positive review. Should I have any problem in the future, I will come back to Brighton Motor Service. Several people in other reviews mentioned that you should deal with George only and it seems to be true! I noticed that a couple of 1-star reviews were written by people who dealt with George's employees and (probably) are more likely to make small mistakes. Talking about mistakes, George did give the car back to me with a couple of issues left unsolved. As a result, I had to bring it back for additional repairs to be made. However, George made it up for me and did not charge me for any additional labor. This helped to keep the costs down and was appreciated very much. My problem: I brought the car in with strong vibrations in the steering wheel on higher speeds. Repairs and approximate prices: I had to replace front sway bar links ($70 each), front passenger side outer tie rod end ($60), and front brake rotors ($55 each), and I paid roughly $200 for labor. In addition, George performed wheel alignment for $75, replaced a TPMS sensor for $75 and bought a used wheel for me for $189 (the one I found on the Internet for a lower price turned out to be faulty and had to be shipped back to Auto Rim Shop). I spent roughly $850 in total for all these repairs which seems reasonable. I hope that this detailed review will help other car owners to have a better and more affordable auto service.

Dropped my car off in the morning to get some work done on my brakes and the car was ready before I even had my lunch. Great service and very reasonable pricing. Unlike most auto service places I've been to, I wasn't left feeling like I got taken advantage of. I even decided to get an oil change while my car was getting the brake work done and they gave me a solid discount. I will definitely be back for any future work that needs to be done.

My 2014 Hyundai's battery died on me twice over the course of a long weekend, so I called to see if they'd take a look. From the moment they picked up the phone, I was greeted w/ warm and solicitous customer service. Brought the car in the following morning, and they were able to diagnose the problem (alternator + battery required replacement) in about 90 seconds flat. The mechanic - didn't get his name, super friendly down-to-earth guy - took care to demonstrate and explain every step of the diagnostic process. Received a supremely fair quote, was told the car would be ready in a couple of hours, and in 1 hr 45 min I was driving the car home. Cannot possibly recommend these guys enough - I'm not taking my car anywhere else from here on out!!

I drive all the way from Framingham to get all my company Vehicle service here. I also take my personal vehicle here. I’ve been going here for more than 12 years for routine oil change and everything else, Georgie is the best! The crew is really hard-working. I don’t think I could say enough good things about them, from the pricing of the repairs to the level of customer service they provide his top notch.

Only place open on Sundays. Incredible and fast service. Great guys who really helped me when I absolutely needed it. Would 100% recommend!! My car started making a really loud grinding noice on my way home To the cape and I brought it to the shop and the guys located the problem quickly and fixed it so I could make my way home. They even stayed open late to fix my car! Totally accommodating and really amazing, fair, and honest guys! Going to be my go to spot when I move up here!

Incredible service. INCREDIBLE. I will never think about going anywhere else. I messed up my rav4 recently and was worried that it may have been the transmission. George confirmed over the phone that it could be the transmission but upon taking a quick look, he realized it might just be a broken axle. While they had the wheels off he also noticed that the front brakes were in rough shape (I already knew this but forgot). He offered to replace the brakes for basically just the cost of parts so I had him do it. Half a day and the job was done. For first time I feel like I've met a machanic who seriously cares about his customers. It's encouraging to see that business owners like this are still around. Thank you so much George! This place is pure Gold if you need car help! First off the work they do is thorough, they ask all the right questions upon intake and keep us informed through out the process, we got better updates to our cars well-being than when we drop off our dog at the vet. You can tell this is a family run business because they treat you like fam straight up. We had a beater Buick and the owner not only fixed what was wrong but made the car better far beyond what was wrong with it. I didnt have alot of money and the owner was so cool about it and allowed me to pay when I could, prob doesnt happen often, but it was apprecieated and secured our return business. As a concierge for the city and bussiness management consultant I have and will always send folks to this shop. Proof is in the pudding. Best shop in New England. These guys are SO nice. Doesn't feel like they're just trying to rip you off. We told them that we're on a budget because we're expecting, and they were so nice about it! They told us what was urgent and what could wait, as opposed to other repair shops that tell you that you "need to change your air conditioner filter because of dust and it will cost $185!" Super impressed. Would DEF go back.

I had my car towed to this shop from another because I heard how honest George Jr. is. I'm so glad I did. I got an estimate of $954.00 for a whole bunch of work that my 2004 honda civic needed from thwe other shop. George went through the estimate and double checked what the other shop said and It wasn't true at all. George fixed what I needed and now my car runs like new. My bill was only $255.81. What a deal. I cant say enough about them. Thank you guys.

Ex regular customer here!!! Very disappointed and upset!!! I used to be a regular customer, but looks like I’m not welcome anymore. This is about my bumper, the front of my car needed to be fixed badly. George had to order a new bumper, so I had to wait couple of days. Few days later, I dropped my car early morning and when I went back to picked my car at the evening the bumper was not aligned correctly leaving a big gap between the bumper and the hood. And the paint color was way off not even close to matching the original color. Minor after imperfections to be fixed if we talk about the overall damage the car had. Because I paid for his service, I went back and gave a complaint. My first complaint after so many years going to his place!!! It seems he couldn’t admit he didn’t do a well done job. Looks like he wasn’t able to fix the issue that he just gave me 100$ back, kicked me out and banned me to go back to his place. That’s the way he resolved the problem! He kept saying “ I gave you discount... I gave you discount... I gave you discount “ ....mmmmm... “Excuse me!!! That doesn’t mean you don’t have to do a good job...” Right? I paid 530$ for non professional shity job that maybe my uncles or father could done. I paid good amount of money for his service, so he should be the one to fix it. I even asked him to fix the bottom side of the car in which required more money ( just 45$) and he did not fixed it at all. Plus he said I was giving him hard time, “ Well I’m just pointing to you the tiny details to be fixed, man!”. He said that all Toyotas were like that, trust me! If all Toyotas were like that I wouldn’t go there since the beginning. And he even blame on me on the imperfections saying what did I do in which contradicts his statement about all Toyotas been like that. So bad I can’t upload pictures of a before and after of the results. Again, after so many years going to his place and give just a first complaint without bad intentions that’s the way he treated me. I wasn’t expecting money back and be banned from there. I was just expecting the defects on the bumper to be fixed. Very disappointed with the customer service after all years. The treatment he gave me wasn’t fair, reasonable and adequate just because I gave him a minor complaint. George should know how to deal with customers, specially regulars. Last comment, my father is too a regular customer, in George words “ a good friend “... so your thoughts on what I just explained to you about the treatment that the daughter of a good friend deserves. Three stars because I’m not considering the business do bad jobs, it was just the first time I had a minor issue. I’m not going to deny the times I left satisfied the place. But It’s just the last treatment I got from George. He making me become a ex regular customer took me unexpectedly and really ended displeasing me a lot.

Came here for the first time today to get my A/C fixed. Fixed it in 2 hours for a very reasonable price, and even fixed a plastic panel hanging from the bottom of my car free of charge. Highly recommend this place!

They have pure octane fuel here. Very hard to find that. If you ride a scooter like me the get some super fuel from here. You know it's pure because the fuel is blue and your engine will run 25% better than other places super fuel in the area. The service is okay, some old guy was manning the pumps when I was there. He asked how much I wanted then handed me the pump hose and told me when I reached the amount I wanted. Pretty standard. Would have liked it more if they pumped it for me, and I would have tipped the guy too but oh well.
