Three summers I had put off dealing with the a/c, fearing the bill would be over $1000. Boise's heat prompted action. My daughter suggested Meineke on Fairview. Not only did they check the system when I dropped in, but after a short turnaround, I was able to drive home in comfort. Not what I expected; same day fix--bonus! Also, I returned a second time and they delivered the same prompt, courteous customer service. That consistency sold me. I'll definitely return.

Had to make an impromptu visit due to a windshield wiper that just stopped working. They got me in quickly and figured out it was just a bolt that needed tightening. I thought there would at least be some sort of service charge or something but there was no charge. Quick friendly service by people who aren't looking to nickel and dime you. I would definitely return to this location, thank you for the help!

Meineke has been the best place that we have taken our vehicles in the Treasure Valley. First we took our daughters car in and they fixed the AC. Then they fixed and AC issue on our expedition. When our check engine light came on in the expedition this weekend, the only call we nade was to Meineke. They had it diagnosed and fixed in 3 days. We will not take out vehicles to anyone else. They have a trusted diagnosis and great mechanics that work there. To to it off, they are priced very fair for the work they do. Not the cheapest I've paid but worth a lot more than what they charge.

The only reason I am not giving more stars is because they mentioned I had a small oil leak, which I've had for years. Here it is the day after my oil change and suddenly I have oil leaking A LOT from my car. Find it odd that my small leak that never did this on prior oil changes is now a bigger issue!

I had scheduled an oil change online with meineke and I couldn't remember which one. I stopped by two locations this one being one of them, and called to the others. No one had me scheduled is what I was told. I'm from out of state, and needed my oil changed since I had driven over 1,100 miles one way. The nice gentleman at the counter told me that I didn't have an appointment, but he had time and they could get me in right away. He was true to his word. I was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. The only complaint I had was my car kinda smelled like cigarettes and dust when I got inside my car to leave. Overall I was very pleased with the service here.

Was able to get a hitch installed on the fly and reasonably priced. The did scratch my bumper and smudge my windows. Meh i guess thats ok i mean they got me taken care of quickly. Then i saw a bunch of loos parts in the back of my car. Tries calling all day and no answer…it was Thursday during business hours. I will go on person tomorrow and update. Just want to know if I should be concerned these large parts ar no longer on my car. Will post pics if app allows.

Oil change went well however this time the technician did fail to plug something back in which turned on my check engine light plus a couple more warning lights so I had to go back to find out what was wrong. The fellow in the office was very helpful and got it straightened out.

This Meineke offers speedy, friendly, and reasonably priced service. My muffler was dangling on one side and had a rather large hole in it. One of the mechanics, Dan, determined that it could not be saved and removed it free of charge until they could get a replacement in. I coordinated my next visit with Craig, who was friendly and professional, and at my request he arranged for my car to have a general check up and tune-up as well. The bill was reasonable and it was such a relief to have a quiet muffler again as well as peace of mind as to the soundness of my car since it's nearly 30 years old. I recommend this Meineke to anyone in need of auto repairs.

Very quick and everything was working well when I left the shop. Not expensive at all. The only thing I wish they did better was communicate! They never called me to pick up my car and didn’t tell me how long it was going to take either. In addition, they did a detailed inspection of my car (which has many, many issues) and didn’t tell me anything was wrong! Kind of makes me think they didn’t inspect my car at all..

I badly needed a new starter installed, which I had already bought, and they were able to put it in without me having to buy one from them, which other places wouldn't actually let me do. They were super fast and the man at the front was nice and pleasant to interact with. He was also quick to the point, not trying to push services on me that I didn't need. Went in for an oil change. A day or so after my car started smelling really bad like something was burning. Checked fluids and things seemed fine. Just figured maybe some oil dropped on the exhaust and was burning off. After a week, my car started smoking so I took it in and they said they never tightened the oil filter all the way. So they cleaned it up, tightened the filter and topped me off with oil and sent me on my way. Giving four stars since they made it right and fixed my issue.

Meineke does such a great job with oil changes for an amazing value! They also check other things in the vehicle, for instance they informed me that next time I would likely need to have my brake fluid flushed and my battery terminals cleaned. There was no pressure to perform those services today, just notes that they will need to be done soon, which allows me time to prepare for the expense and also shop around or have the work completed elsewhere if I chose to do that. They are on time, courteous, and respectful!

I brought my car in without an appointment. I asked them the change the oil and both filters. They told me my options and helped me pick the best for me. When it was done I noticed they only changed one of the filters. So I went back and asked why. I was told “Your main air filter was in great shape and didn’t need replaced.” They could have taken my money. But they were good honest people, it was great! Thank you guys!!

I've been to different Meineke's in the Boise area, and found that this location was closer to my work. It was only my second time going there but I remember I was wanting to make sure my car was ready to go on a road trip before this pandemic started. I was called to be made aware of the condition of my tires among other things - and not only did they give me an AMAZING deal on new tires but were able to make the TOTAL cost under $500. That sounded crazy to me because for any other car service or maintenance in the past I remember having to pay my dealership WAYY more money for the same thing. I will definitely return and recommend anyone else to this location. They have taken good care of me! Also, the first time I went - I mentioned that a different location forgot to completely screw up the cover that protects the oil, so I had it zip-tied up (after practically melting the piece from driving on the freeway and it scraping very badly, living in Caldwell). They made sure it was very secure and they always want to make sure a discount is applied. They really do value the customer and not just money! I've only received high-quality care! I've specifically talked to the guy that works the front and one of the mechanics. The second time I had used their services - I was early enough that the front desk guy wasn't there yet, but the mechanic working was SUPER nice and made sure I was taken care of. I'm horrible with names, but one of their names was Aron! I wish I knew the other persons name!

They truly go the extra mile by providing a loaner car and/ or furnishing a drop off or pickup to and from their shop. Custom Perrin exhaust system needed some welding to be installed and my regular mechanic was not set up for welding. Took it to Meineke and they removed the existing exhaust system, installed and did the necessary welds for the new one. Good job Meimeke. My sons car sounds pretty impressive now. Thanks again for a good job at an affordable price.

I've been going to this Meineke location for several years. They're always kind and quick. Today, they went above and beyond -- my car failed to start last night. I was able to start it and take it in. They did a diagnostics test and everything checked out except for some corrosion on the battery, which they fixed. Not only were they quick, they didn't charge. Fast forward thirty minutes when I'm in my driveway, about to leave again -- not starting. Long story short, they came to my house to get my vehicle and fixed it the same day (something small in the starter that the diagnostics test can't see). Pricing was fair, but the customer service was the best.

These guys are great!!! I took my car to two other shops that were overpriced and under-delivered in value before bringing it to Meineke. Not only did they do an excellent job but at a fraction of the cost. They were upfront and honest every step of the way and communicated with me about delays or potential issues. I don't feel like I was harassed or pushed into fixing anything else on my car other than what I took it in for, and in fact I have taken three vehicles there in the last week and a half and one of them was fixed for under $10 and the other they fixed at no charge. None of the cars were charged for Diagnostics, or any of the other crap that some of these auto shops are trying to charge. I am very pleased and would recommend these guys!

Almost exactly 2 years ago I went to the Meineke shop off of Fairview in Boise to have my alternator changed. I paid to have a brand new alternator installed and went about my business. Over the next couple of years I noticed that my “low battery” light would flash on for a split second when I was driving up or downhill. I went back to the exact same shop this month, now 2 years later to have it checked out. Come to find out that the shop now has a new owner. It was under the previous owner that they installed an alternator that was not recommended for my car and therefore, wasn’t fitting correctly or putting out the right amount of voltage. Since the shop is now under a new owner my warranty on the alternator is technically void. However, they chose to still change out my old alternator for the correct one and didn’t charge me. Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and efficient. It’s nice to know there’s still a few good people in the world, and some of them own businesses. I’d recommend this shop to anyone!

Amazing service!! The owner Doug is great and knows how to treat his customers. He was knowledgeable, professional and went the extra mile. I had a new exhaust put on my 2017 Tundra. I had some traveling conflicts and needed to take my truck to the airport. I gave Doug the keys to Doug and when i returned from my trip my truck was at the airport with my brand new exhaust hooked up. AWESOME!! He accepted no payment until he knew i was happy which I thought was fantastic....not needed of course but it shows the lengths he will go to provide great customer service. Dropped my vehicle off at 9:00 AM so they could change out my O2 sensors and do an oil change, didn't need the vehicle until 6:00 PM. They finally wrapped it up about 6:15. Office staff was great and they stayed right on quote.

Recently wrote a bad review about the company and stated that I would never go back again. However, I'm glad I did go back again today. It reminded me why I decided to only go through these guys two years ago. They worked hard on my car today even though I gave them bad information as to what was faulty with my car door. They were calm and courteous and the manager there knows how to run the shop. Definitely, won't be complaining anytime soon. And if I do the manager advised me to talk to him personally. I had an 11:30 appointment and finally got out at 2:35. First I think they forgot about me when I came back to pick car up. Then they forgot to check tire that I had asked about. They did sale me another tire that I did need and have me a decent deal on that to spin and mount. Probably won't go back, the one close to me closed, it was Saturday afternoon but I did have an appointment so should not have taken so long. All the guys were nice, that did make up for it for the most part.

Wow! I am so grateful to the wonderful mechanics at this shop! My car had overheated the night before coming from Moab. They thought it could have been either the thermostat ($200 fix) or a blown gasket ($2,000). Turns out, it was the thermostat! What did I know? They could have charged me for the gasket but were honest and forthright and fixed the thermostat that was the broken piece. My son got back home that same day for school in the morning thanks to this good team! Thank you!!!!!!!

All employees very professional and changed the oil in my rv. I left feeling confident in all services but when I arrived at park to stay a week, oil was gushing and made big puddle in front of office. I immediately called Meineke and Shane came in about 30 minutes. He worked diligently to fix the blown plug, paid the park for kitty litter and cleaned up after, apologizing profusely. I was offered a free next oil change and would like to use it to gift my host in Boise if that is ok unless it is good at any Meineke shop? Please let me know.

These guys are the best! My car would not start after shopping at a store next door. I came back in the morning and for whatever reason, my car started right up. I took it to Meineke to see what might have happened, and they tested my car thoroughly. They even went over all of the numbers for me! They did not charge me a dime...great guys! We had a lot of troubles trying to fix the headlight on my Cadillac... and rather than go into the details of what happened back and forth, the bottom line is they did the best they could with a difficult situation. It took a long time to get to an actual fix, but they stood behind their work and product-- and we walked away feeling as though they had done the best they could and ultimately my vehicle was fixed. I showed up at 4 PM for a walk in oil change and they got me in right away! Just thought I’d take a chance and it worked. Then they told me on the last oil change the air filter was taken out and not replaced. I don’t blame Meineke for this because I didn’t use them on my last oil change. My mistake. Meineke did not have my air filter in stock but sent me down the road a couple of blocks to buy one. They offered to have it sent over and they could install it, but I opted to go pick it up. The retailer that sold me the air filter allowed me to buy it for a discount on my Meineke’s account. I saved a few bucks and will go back to this Meineke again. One last thing, if you need a synthetic oil change, the Meinicke on Fairview in Boise developed their own special for smaller cars that take closer to four quarts of synthetic oil. I saved about $15. Right on!

The tone for my restoration project is a very nice, low, rumble. Just what I wanted. Bends in the pipe look clean, and welds look good. Doug is a great guy to deal with. Immediately got my truck on the lift and we both got underneath to discuss what we wanted to do. He gave me a better price quote than anybody in town and had my truck done and ready to go in about a day. I would highly recommend these guys. I went in to Meineke to double check the front end of our S UV to see if there is any problems going on with it. One person drove it to test drive it in felt like there wasn't any problems with the breaking, turning, or anything else. Cell I told them some more of the worries that I had . The owner then drove it and he tried to get it to act up but couldn't.So I'd then informed them more about the situation and another mechanic then drove it. He then put it up on the hoist and found what the problem was . They did an awesome job on spending time trying to find what the problem was . They could of not drove it anymore and gave up on it . They could have just told me there's nothing wrong with it that they could see but they didn't stop working on it until they found it. Then the price that they told me to fix it was a awesome price compaired what it could of been somewhere else. I was forced to fix it myself because we couldn't take a loan out just to repair it. I'm impressed on the effort to find the problem and not just give up to say nothing is wrong and I'm just feeling and seeing things. Thank you!
