Christian Brothers was AMAZING for me. They diagnosed an issue with my VW on virtually no notice, and squeezed me in early in the morning because they know I’m traveling and trying to get home to Texas. I must have called 10 different shops and no one would touch my car because it’s European, and the ones that would couldn’t get me in until September. Everyone at Christian Brothers was so kind and they found the problem quickly, I had my car back in less than 4 hours. I can’t thank you enough, I’ll send everyone I know your way!

Dropped my vehicle off for a brake inspection/replacement and 70,000-mile inspection. In addition to that, they found that there was a broken exhaust manifold stud. Long story short, the vehicle came back to me and felt like it was new. Steering improved greatly, a slight shimmy in the brake system was gone and felt better that it has since I bought the vehicle 3 years ago. Very pleased with their diligence. Engine is running better, mileage has gone up, steering is solid and the brakes are firm. Could ask for more.

They are great. Consistent helpful attitude, excellent service. They aren't the cheapest, but this is an area where "you get what you pay for" often holds true. On the few times I've gone somewhere else, I've regretted it. Last few times I went, they were so backlogged they wouldn't be able to see me for a week or so, but offered to have me come by and take a quick look to make sure the engine wouldn't be damaged. The first time, the person who helped me took a half hour checking my car, told me how to address the issue, and then said, "But it's not something we do here, so I'm not going to charge you anything for the diagnosis." And, for the record, the diagnosis was correct (it had to do with the tires, not the engine), and once addressed the problem resolved. Then, just today, I called because my engine was rumbling when I accelerated. It started right after an oil change at the Valvoline on Franklin. Same thing: I called up and asked if they could see me. Michelle F (a Customer Service Representative there) said the same thing, which boiled down to: we're super busy, but come down and I'll have someone take a drive around the block and make sure the car isn't in imminent danger of exploding or anything. I came by and Steve M, one of their Service Advisors, road around the block with me. He said they WERE super busy, but he didn't feel great just letting me drive off with the rumble, so had me pull it in and he put it up on the lift to check a few things "just really quick." I waited with my son (who was along for the ride, which is the price of Dad taking him to a haircut-ha!) in the front office. While we were there, three different people (including Michelle) offered us water, made sure we were comfortable, and made sure someone was already helping us. Fifteen minutes later Steve came in and said, "Fixed!" He took me out and showed me that "someone" (he was careful NOT to say it was the Valvoline people, but given that they were the only people who'd been futzing with my car in the last 48 hours) appeared to have opened up a housing to check the filters, and when they closed it they failed to put one of the screws in. So the rattling sound was just the housing shaking. He put a new screw in, it runs as it should now. He said, "Take care!" and turned to go. I asked if I could at least pay for the time that he spent taking such good care of us, and he asked if we had plans for the Labor Day weekend. "Not particularly," I said, to which he replied, "Well, you just have a good weekend and we'll call it even." BAM. THAT is customer service. THAT is quality care. And THAT guarantees that I will be a Christian Brothers client for the rest of time. Thanks, Michelle and Steve. Thanks, Christian Brothers. Way to go!

Best communication I've had from a repair shop. These guys were very responsive over text over a period of a few days. They contacted my 3rd party warranty company and dealership to get the repair approved as quick as possible. Although, I think $400 for two broken headlight connectors and a fog light is a bit steep. I would have fixed the problem myself if I ended up having to pay for it. Luckily the warranty kicked in. I also really liked the link they sent me that showed the repair status, customer and mechanic comments, and pictures of what needed repaired. That was all great. I also was shown the broken fog light that was replaced at the end which made me feel confident that the repair was actually made. I think it is important to show your customer the old replaced parts before handing the keys back. Would recommend. These guys need more locations!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I brought my truck in for a brake repair (they got it in within two days of my call!) and after taking everything apart they found a larger issue which required them to order additional parts. They still had my vehicle done within 2 days! Everyone I dealt with was extremely kind and professional from start to end. The pricing was very fair and my truck is running great! Christian Brothers is the most professional, punctual auto shop I've ever used. I've had my fair share of automobile problems in the past. As a result I've dealt with good shops and I've dealt with bad shops. Christian Brothers was the highest standard I've seen yet. To those shops that also do good work, but lack in other areas such as cleanliness and customer service, they matter a great deal. Christian Brothers was accommodating to my early arrival, had a very clean, air conditioned front room, excellent customer service all around, and punctual throughout the entire process. The courtesy text with images, timestamp, and any extraneous information about the vehicle was well received. I am not sure if it's a company culture thing, but this auto shop is a well run business, which is where so many auto shops fall short. Never once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of, and all of the information I was given was concise and accurate. As long as I am in the treasure valley, I will not use another auto shop if I have the option.

I went in for an oil change and was immediately impressed with their front reception area, I didn’t feel like I was in a typical car repair shop, it was very nice and welcoming. I was sent a text with a summary of my vehicles inspection that included photos of my vehicle. They called me and explained the inspection findings and told me that I’ll need new tires and breaks in the near future which I found very helpful. Everyone who helped me was friendly and professional; their prices are reasonable and they have great customer service. I’m glad to have found a great car service center, I’ll definitely be going back!

After receiving a referral from a family member I took a couple of my vehicles to Christian Brothers for a Courtesy Inspection because they are getting older and higher miles on them. They found that the radiator was leaking and a couple of other issues that needed attention on my SUV. Zach gave me a recommendation of what truly "needed" to be fixed, and what could wait. I ultimately replaced the radiator on my SUV. I want to preface the following by saying that I will definitely continue to do business with Christian Brothers (so read to the end for the outcome). After picking up my vehicle I was about half a block away when my transmission lost all compression, and prior to the radiator being replaced I had never had an issue with my transmission. I called and Zach immediately came and picked me up in the shuttle car and had a tow-truck take my vehicle back to the shop. After inspecting my vehicle they found that a hose clamp on the hose from my radiator to my transmission had failed resulting in all of the transmission fluid releasing from the vehicle. Christian Brothers took care of the tow and also replaced all of the transmission fluid when they replaced the faulty hose clamp. So, I pretty much got a free transmission flush out of the deal as well! Both Zach and the owner, Brett personally brought my vehicle to my home to drop it off, apologized several times for the inconvenience, and guaranteed that they stand by their work. I believe them, and as I previously said I will do business with them again. Things fail, but the telling is in how they responded. Zach and the team were professional, courteous, and quickly identified and responded to and resolved the issue. No excuses.

If I could give this organization a six star rating I would. When my vehicle broke down I took it to a Ford dealership who recommended $7,000 worth of repair being more than my vehicle is worth, I was considering selling my vehicle to a salvage yard when I came across Christian Brothers Automotive. The owner of the company and one of his mechanics took the time to take a look at my vehicle and told me they could do the repairs for $350 and it would be operational. 3 hours later my vehicle was repaired and fully operational with high levels of Integrity respect and honor this organization provided the best service somebody could recommend. Went to Christian Brothers after going place to place trying to get a diagnosis and a fair estimate. After working with Derrick we were able to figure out the issue with the vehicle, Derrick gave me an estimate in the beginning and after going through my vehicle he realized costs were more expensive than he first thought, instead of charging me extra Derrick honored his first estimate and charged me no extra costs. This is the first shop that I’ve seen that displayed this level of customer service and not only that but they made sure to keep in contact and were always keeping me updated. The costs were extremely fair and I recommend people who are looking for honest mechanics come to this location, I know I will for the foreseeable future and I’ll recommend any friend that has vehicle issues to come here as well.

Great service all-around. I got a flat tire while taking my daughter to school. The tire got shredded and they were the closest auto repair when it happened. They contacted Big O tires (where my tire warranty comes from) and checked to see if my tire could be covered and just put on the spare tire when they confirmed it could be rather than charge me to replace the tire then and there.

Objectively speaking, Christian Brothers were great. They were friendly and timely. Though slightly more expensive than other oil change locations, the cozy waiting area alone makes it worth it. Subjectively, however, I didn't love them leaving extra stuff in my car I didn't ask for. The thank you note and air freshener were thoughtful, but I didn't care about the thank you note (you're welcome?), and the air freshener felt like they were saying my car smells bad. Again, that's personal perceptions though.

A couple days ago our Equinox developed some transmission issues. My wife took it to Christian Brothers. The technicians determined that it did have some transmission problems, but then informed us that we still had about 3,000 miles left on our manufacturer's warranty and suggested we go to the dealer and get it fixed free. We did. Christian Brothers saved us a lot of money by being honest with us and telling us about the warranty. We bought the car used and I thought it was way past due on the warranty. Christian Brothers didn't have to tell us and could have done the work themselves. Instead they chose the honest and ethical path. My wife and I are so grateful and impressed. I have never gone to them before, but I can tell you I will from now on if needed. Thank you for what you have done for us.

I will have to say they run a very nice establishment, and their service staff was amazing! I recently traded my vehicle straight across for a more economical vehicle. I wasn't sure as to the condition and I was preparing for a road trip as my grandmother had Just passed. I wanted to make sure this vehicle was road worthy. I explained to them that if there were repairs needed I wouldn't be able to afford to have them done. They still did a free vehicle inspection and gave their honest opinions on the vehicles current condition. As a single female "gramma" I have always been very wary of being taken advantage of by auto service businesses. Being new to the Boise/Meridian area I had no one to recommend one for my oil changes/auto issues. I found Christian Brothers on McMillan Road through posted reviews and I am so glad I did. Every employee there - without exception - was wonderful. Polite, informative, respectful. They changed my oil & replaced my brake light quickly and I found their prices very reasonable. I sat in their lounge area on my computer & they brought me coffee. My experience was a "10" out of "10". I will definitely be back.

I'm absolutely amazed at the customer service I received at Christian Brothers Automotive. From the time I first called them they were nothing but polite and honest with me. By the time I got my car back which by the way they were done with it 3 days before I thought they would be and they even fixed a problem I didn't even know they were fixing, my traction control light is now out and it has stayed out and they fixed a massive leak in my power steering. I am definitely coming here the next time I have an issue if you want quality customer service and honesty this is the place to go! I own a 2018 Chevy Traverse. The bracket that holds the exhaust pipes to the undercarriage had cracked and come loose, causing a rattling noise. I took it to CBA and was very, very impressed with their service. I only have one vehicle so the shuttled me back and forth, but what I was most surprised and pleased with is that the technician took a video of the problem and posted it on a report they sent to me. I could clearly see the issue and the technician provided a written explain of the problem and what was done to resolve it. I didn't have to "just take someone's word" about the problem. It was clear visible and explained. I can't say enough good things about CBA in Meridian. Thank you to the whole team there!

I had my car's brake pads repaired within a 72 hours of the first call, great service. BUT... what made the 5 stars is what happened one month later. The left blinker was blinking fast, right after the repair and after a month I stopped by to report it, fully expecting an argument and long wait, but what I got was smiles and quick light bulb change. They addressed the problem right away and didn't charge for the bulb, great service and zero issues. I recommend them to everyone.

Great experience! I brought my vehicle in to have an a/c problem fixed. The final repair bill was exactly what they quoted and the repair was done a day before expected (a part had to be ordered). I have had many experiences with other shops and I was happy to not be surprised by any additional problems or costs. They were very thorough and transparent. The customer waiting area is almost as nice as a doctor's office. 😉 And thanks for the bottle of water and the flashlight that was in my car when I picked it up.👍👍

First time I used this place. My A/C quit working on me since I moved here 7 months ago right during the heat wave. I was looking for a shop and found them online. My car broke down before my appointment to have it looked at. I called to see if I could have it towed to their shop and not only did they say yes but offered to help me find a tow truck company. Unfortunately I had to have the starter and battery replaced but they had my car in and out in a little over than a day. Took my Jeep Grand Cherokee in with the check filler cap light on that would not reset. Right from the start I was impressed that they sent a tech out to the parking lot to check it out. I have been to other shops where you would have to pay to have that checked out. Was able to leave it and they had the right equipment to be able and go in and make the computer reset it . Was very impressed with the owner coming out and introducing himself also. The waiting room and shop are first class. If I have another issue I will be back here for sure.

Before I took my truck here, I was sure to read all the reviews, and I was surprised at how many negative reviews there were, but because a friend told me to try them out, I did. I had a weird tick in my engine, and a few other shops told me I needed a new engine. I took it to Christian Brothers for another opinion, and they told me it was a timing chain issue. They recommended a few other items, and sent me a full itemized list of what needed to be done, and I agreed. After the work was complete, I picked up my truck, and drove it around, and there was still an issue. Christian brothers did everything in their power to make sure that I was taken care of on my rental car while they figured it out, and after a few different attempts, we finally got the issue figured out. Things don't always go right with cars, and nobody can expect something to be perfect the first time. What differentiates these guys from any other shop I worked with was their willingness to go above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. My truck seems to be running great now, and I am a happy camper. Most other shops would have tried to weasel their way out of working on the car again, but they stuck by their work, and made it right. I will be going there from now on..

Derreck and the team at Christian Brothers has always treated me well. Their service is top notch and they are priced fair. Their warranty is the best in the business (although I’ve never actually needed to use it). We needed our battery and alternator repaired the day before a road trip. They got us in and a technician stayed late to finish up the work. Finding a fresh bottle of water and a hand written thank you note in the console reinforced why we use Christian Brothers...they understand service and customer care. I drive from SE Boise to Meridian, that's how great they are! They don't push services at you like most oil change businesses do. Every time I get my oil changed they do a free check of everything else on the car to make sure it's fine. If your car maintenance will take a long time, they offer shuttle service as well!

It can be difficult to find an auto mechanic that can be trusted. In my experience these guys are it. Although I had taken my Jeep to many different mechanics over the years for various things from brakes to oil changes, I would always ask about the “check engine” light. None of them could fix that. Christian Brothers fixed it and everything else on my old Jeep. There were no hidden costs or charges, the quote they gave me was the same as the final bill and it just felt good to deal with them. They were courteous and caring and even fired up my A/C too cool it down when I picked it up on a hot summer day. I trust them to work on all our cars now.

We are thinking to use our car in out of town but since we keep bringing it the shop like 3-5x the car keeps breaking up. Then I suggest to my hub to bring it in certified auto tech to check if everything in the car is ok and safe to drive. So bring it to Christian Brothers Automotive and check everything then we find out that Auto Source Boise are selling unsafe vehicle. The Meridian shop deserves the highest rating possible for the help they gave me, my partner, and our traveling cat and dog! From our experience I can attest to that fact that Christian Brothers does things VERY differently from a customer service perspective; their staff was kind, communicative, honest, and increasingly helpful and concerned with our situation while doing without our home during repairs. It was not the type of treatment that folks have come to expect from mechanic shops... how refreshing. If you want to know the specifics, read on... Our Ford cargo van was suffering from a lack of power (driving from Chicago to California!) so we stopped in Boise to diagnose the problem, and went to Christian Brothers per the recommendation of my uncle, who had been impressed with their work in the past. The shop diagnosed a transmission problem based on burnt-smelling fluid and the power issues we described. They tracked down a rebuilt transmission and quoted us a reasonable price for the parts and labor, so we decided to go ahead with a replacement. Several days later the new transmission was installed, but it didn't solve the problem... it drove as badly as before! To complicate matters, we live inside of this van, so at this point the service manager Dave became very involved in assuring our comfort while they tried to get another transmission shipped, assuming the first was defective in some way. The arranged and paid for us to stay in a nearby RV park for several days, and got creative by having our original transmission rebuilt by a local shop. On the day of the second surgery, the shop got us a rental car so that we could cruise around with our pets and stay cool (this was July in Boise) while the work was completed. The transmission was replaced (again!) but still something was wrong. The shop staff immediately began searching for a hotel to lodge us in for the weekend and gave us a gift card for dinner at a local pizza restaurant... and it was finally at this point that Dave discovered the real culprit: a clogged catalytic converter. Not the transmission all along. Because the van's issue was misdiagnosed, we didn't have to pay anything for our rebuilt transmission. On Monday, we checked out of our free hotel, got into our (fixed) van, and finally left Boise after 2 weeks of wondering what would happen next. In the end, the amount we paid was far less than what Christian Brothers spent to lodge us, feed us, and fix our vehicle. I am so grateful for the exceptional treatment we received.

Shuttle service was very handy. Price was right I guess. Had noises under car, turned out to be broken transmission bracket. After 500 dollars, the noise on the drivers side went away.... And is now on the passenger side, along with an occasional thump that can be felt by the passenger. After reading other reviews on here, I'm not going to bother taking it back to them just to have them charge me their outrageous diagnostic fee again for their incomplete job. Will be taking my car to Heritage.

What you quoted me 2080 to fix I ended up getting done for about 450 you wanted to put a whole new brake system in my vehicle when there is nothing wrong with it just because the power steering went out didn't mean that my brakes were bad my brakes are fine
