They have a quick turnaround time and the work is flawless. I recently had my BMW in there and the job was top notch. The sound was even better. They even advised my on the Ada County noise ordinances to prevent me from getting a ticket for loud exhaust. Great customer service and even better work. These guys are the BEST in Idaho! Sean and his crew are a great and super knowledgeable at what they do! They are honest, hard working, and take the time to actually address the problem rather than putting a band aid on the issue. I've been going to these guys for over 7 years! Recently I had an issue with the heat shields on my Subaru (common problem), they got me fixed up and out of the door in an hour. They even brought me out back to show me where the issue was and I got to see why/where the problem spot was. They know I don't speak "car" and they will take the time to tell you what's going on. They don't charge you and arm and a leg like some of these franchise companies out here. I highly recommend them and it's always best to support your local family owned businesses. The catalytic converter was stolen off my motorhome. After calling around, I reached out to Boise Muffler and they were able to get me in same day and had a new one installed within 2 hours at a fair price. The painted the new one a bright color and put the license plate number on it to help deter future theft at no extra cost. They also put a new clamp on my muffler because the old one had broken at no extra cost. They were polite and courteous in the office and everything was quick and professional. Can't recommend enough!

This place is great. I will definitely use them in the future! My car was exceptionally louder than normal & I wasn't sure what was wrong, so I made an appointment. They got me in that week, diagnosed it and I was in and out in about 30 mins. with my car sounding good as new. It was a minor repair, I just needed a new flex pipe, but I was very impressed and the staff even brought me back to my vehicle so I could visually see where the repair was needed. I will definitely go back if I have problems in the future.

The guys at Boise Muffler did a great job on my 2006 Toyota Sienna van. The van is a wheelchair conversion and the tail pipe is a customized setup to make space for the wheelchair ramp. Not only did they fix it but some if the old parts were still on working order so they reused them. They could've told me that everything needed to be replaced but saved me a chunk of money by using the still functioning older parts. No one else would've done that!

I had a catalytic converter problem and was super time crunched as I was about to move. In the end, they couldn't do the work for me given my time constraints. However, they did a full inspection and testing to fully diagnose the issue. Before recommending an expensive repair, they collected all possible data to make sure it was justified. Explained everything to me. Sent me home with the error codes and advice to get the codes checked and cleared on my cross country drive if the check engine light went on and off so I'd remain safe. Could not have been a more thorough, honest communicator. I was super bummed I couldn't let them do the repair. For all the work they did in inspecting and testing and recommending? Zero charge. These guys know their stuff and have a really great approach to working with customers.

Muffler decided it wanted to break. Had to temporarily install the new one with clamps. It was a nightmare without a welder and correct sized piping. They got the new muffler welded and a new tail pipe made in less than 30 minutes. Good value and timely repair. Highly recommend.

We called to inquire about the price for replacing the muffler on our 04 Tundra. They gave us a very reasonable quote and said they could get us in that day. Made the appointment for that same day and was quoted about 45min to 1hr for the repair. Showed up and was greeted and they got started right away. It only took 20min to finish! They were all very kind, courteous, and professional! Their price was VERY reasonable! I had heard about them through word of mouth and am extremely pleased with my overall experience! The absolute best service I have ever received with a car repair company...!!! I HIHGLY recommend!!!

Excellent experience! I called in the morning to get a quote, the guys were polite knowledgeable and professional which I’m sure can be hard sometimes when people just call and ask questions all the time. I called a few hours later (around 1:30pm) to make an appointment, expecting to get in within the next few days. Was told, “how about 4 o’clock”? I took the truck down to drop it off while on my lunch break and the excellent service continued in person. The guy at the counter knew his stuff and talked it through everything with me to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. To make it even better, it was finished shortly after 3pm! Then when I showed up to get my truck, I was blown away with how good of a job they did! I requested a ceramic coated exhaust tip as I have zero chrome on my pickup. They went above and beyond and painted the back portion of piping black so that it all blends together!! To top it all off, it was less expensive than a bolt on kit. Couldn’t be happier! Thank you Boise Muffler!

These folk gave my 3.5L V6 dodge charger a very nice sounding custom dual exhaust for only $750. Which I would say is very cheap, given the kits are $1500 and they aren't welded. This was. Good luck finding better. 💅✌️ …

Great! I failed emissions test due to dilution/leakage. There was a broken flange on my tailpipe before the muffler. The muffler looked shot, and I expected to buy a new one. The manager told me that they might be able to fix it cheap ($30) with a flange eliminator. OK, give it a try, I told them. That didn't do the job, so I went ahead and got a new muffler, like I expected. I appreciate that they offered the cheaper possible fix instead of showing me their most expensive muffler immediately. My appointment was at 11:00, and they got to work immediately, and I was on the road again before noon. Cost me less that I was expecting to pay. Nice to go to a mechanic who tries to save you money, and gets the job done without any BS. Competent, efficient and ETHICAL.

Their inspection showed exhaust system was fine, but I was told that bad struts or sway bars might be the problem and a shop was recommended to me. I stopped at Boise Muffler, without an appointment, in the hopes of having what I thought might be an exhaust leak diagnosed. I was greeted promptly, and was impressed with the knowledge of the manager who helped me; he explained it's a typical issue with my vehicle. I was surprised and pleased that they were able to put the car on the lift within minutes of my arrival, and even happier that the inspection and diagnosis only took a few minutes. The problem was explained to me, a reasonable quote was presented, and an installation appointment scheduled just a couple days out, despite them needing to order an exhaust manifold. Very happy with the service I received at Boise Muffler!

Took my car in for an exhaust leak inspection. They had it finished in a timely matter. Turns out no exhaust leak but they helped fixed a rattling under the exhaust which I greatly appreciate. I took my 1994 Landcruiser in for a new exhaust. Previous owner had done some "work" of his own on it resulting in multiple exhaust leaks and some serious performance hindering issues. Boise Muffler was both knowledgeable, and professional in assisting me with choosing a new exhaust system. They used high quality parts (Magna Flow, and Flowmaster) and had my vehicle in and out within the day. I would highly recommend them and will bring more of my vehicles to them in the future.

I found that I had a dent in my Wrangler's exhaust pipe between the catalytic converter and the muffler. After reading the online reviews I went to Boise Muffler and asked for an estimate on replacing the pipe and the muffler. The technician crawled under the car, while it was in the parking lot, to look at the dent and the muffler. He said we can replace the pipe for about $80 and reuse your muffler as it's still good. WOW! So I make an appointment to come back. When I got there, the tech said they had a better idea, just cut out the dented part and weld in a new pipe. Cost only $42 when all was done - and I was there only about 30 minutes. Like the other reviews say, these guys are awesome!

I had some work done years ago at Boise Muffler. I have always known them to do decent work for good money. Never had a complaint. Recently, I needed some work done quick. Boise Muffler was great about getting it done. I even enjoyed their misquoting emissions rules and fines while bsing in the lobby. I checked the truck quickly when I picked it up. It looked fine. They did everything they said they would and charged me a high but reasonable amount. Since then, I have been all over the West. Still no complaints. Today, I happened to be under the truck fixing something else, and I noticed that the nice new pipe is hitting the silly Toyota height sensing lever that adjusts the brakes to compensate for loads. I mean... what do I have to do? All my life, I have yet to get something done right from a "professional" mechanic. It's always at least some silly little thing. Thanks, Boise Muffler, for a pretty good job. Second thought. I was thinking about an exhaust pipe for racing that another shop built for me. They charged well over a thousand for a very poor job. So, I'm changing my Boise Muffler rating from 3 to 4. Update: Changing my rating to a 5. I took said racing application to Boise Muffler, and they rebuilt the exhaust system the way it should have been in the first place. It sounds great, the car is much faster, and no more rattles. This is better than a tuning expert who claims to do engineering could do, and Boise Muffler charged a lot less money. To the team: Please don't worry about the truck. It seems to work ok.

These guys are fab! Called them late morning about a fairly loud exhaust leak sound that just showed up on my daughters Nissan Versa. They said they could take a look that afternoon. But I needed to drop it off right away to deal with my daughters work schedule. Shaun took the keys and said they'd get a look at it as soon as they could. I am not kidding that we had only gotten down the connector to the River Street exit when they called and had it figured and told me they could get it fixed for about $100! I am thinking significant hundreds to do it and they had it ready before the end of the day. If you have an exhaust issue, don't take it to anyone else.

I took my car there because it sounded like it had a hole in the muffler. They put it up on the lift and found an air hose that was loose, so they reconnected it. My trouble light is gone now, and they did not charge me a cent. I'm convinced this is an honest shop.
