The staff at this shop are A+. Our vehicle had a particularly difficult issue that these fine technicians stuck with and made sure to finish the job. The cost was exceptionally fair, and these guys hung in there and did what they said they would do. Our truck is fixed, and my faith in the fact that their are people out here that do care, and do take pride in what they do and what they said they would do, is restored. Hell of a great job guys!!!! Keep it up and hopefully your work ethic and determination will spread! Thank you and I completely recommend that these folks do your auto work. A+++ Thank you and keep up the badass work!

While my son was home from for Christmas break, local dealership said he needed front struts, despite not feeling any indication of such when driven. Had him take his vehicle to University Tire and Auto and they told him he didn't need new struts. Greatly appreciate the honesty when the the easy thing to do would be to take advantage of the college student. Will definitely use again if needed and recommend.

Original post: Very disappointed. My husband was told the price for everything would be $500 something which already seemed high, and when he went to pick up the car the total was $745. Plus part of what we paid for was to fix the A/C and it's not even completely fixed. *Edit: The owner Paul reached out to us and expressed a sincere apology. He asked for my side, asked questions and genuinely seemed to want to make it right. Never once did he make it seem like he was annoyed or upset. On the contrary, he acted like he cared, and even acknowledged how I'd be upset. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, but the fact that the owner called and took full responsibility shows his character and that he values his clients' experience above his pride (which is hard to find nowadays). This is a place you want to go, because I can't guarantee they won't make a mistake, but if they do, they will do what they can to make it right.

University Tire & Auto is the best. 100%. The gentleman that work and run University Tire & Auto are some of the most honest people in the business and the mechanics are on point. Finding a reliable and honest place to take your vehicle is really tough. I can’t recommend this business enough. They do more than the average spot that just doechanges oil. They are a first come first serve service station but if you happen to know what part or parts you may need they will order them up in advance so the day you do bring the car in everything is ready to go. They are happy to work around your schedule to get it done right. If you CAN NOT find a part you need, they will get it!! I tried for 2 months to get a specific part for my Civic turbo. It was always out of stock and or on back order. It’s a weird part only used on this particular model. Even the local area Honda dealerships were unable to get the part. The gentleman at UT&A not only found the part I need and ordered it. But after realizing that there was an issue with the part that they were shipped, they went above and beyond to resolve the issue. My man literally went digging around town looking everywhere for a $16 piece of plastic to hold up my skid plate. That’s service. 5 star.

There is a reason I bring my vehicles to University Tire and Auto: honesty, communication, reliability and a pressure free environment. I appreciate the experience from the second I walk in the door or they pick up the phone to answer my questions. The front side of the shop staff is prompt with quotes and doesn't try to sell or force any work that isn't immediately needed. Instead they provide you with a realistic timeline on when the work should be done. They realize everyone has different financial situations and don't want to overburden or cause you concern when driving your vehicle. The mechanics are excellent as well, no cutting corners when it comes to your vehicle. Working with this shop of professionals has been a great experience since moving to Auburn in 2019.

Everyone working there is extremely nice and informative. I have never had a problem with anyone there or any service. Couple days ago I've paid visit to University Tire and Auto to let them find out what's actually wrong with my AC. I've had it in authorized dealership a year ago because of poor AC functionality. They found nothing. Last week I took it there again and they've told me the AC needs to be replaced and the cause of the failure was previous poor repair by Ray's collision shop. Of course Ray's collision refused to even look at it trying to avoid their responsibility because of time relapsed. So tired of both I went to University Tire and Auto to let them find out what the problem really is. Their mechanic after a lil bit more than an hour came to tell me he fixed the problem and AC is working again. I have to ask him to repeat it and asked him if he is sure. Well, he said yes. So they've saved me a bit of money. Instead paying 1700$ for replacing the AC I've paid only 250$ for repairs. They could easily say I really need to replace the AC but they didn't. So I would totally recommend their services to anybody because they are not only HONEST with car problems but they also have PROFESSIONAL and KNOWLEDGEABLE mechanics...

Just moved to Alabama last week. My car needed an oil change, and also the check engine light was on (a mechanic from another state said it is a knock sensor. did not have time to replace it before the move). 5 out of 5 for the oil change. Clean place, great oil (synthetic Mobil for 5 thousand miles), reasonable price. I will probably come back again for an oil change. 2 out of 5 for the engine light check. The light was going on and off, and when they turned the car on the light was off. To me, the most logical way to handle it would be to call right away and say: "Hey, you said the light is on, but it is off, come back again when it is on and let us check". I was in fact told exactly that, but charged $85 (the total bill ~$170). The light is on again 10 minutes after I left the place...

My daughter's truck was experiencing power steering issues. Initially, I had her bring it to a dealer but they were reluctant to work on the truck. She then brought it to University Tire and Auto. Devin and his team were able to fix the issue. They were professional and a true pleasure to work with.

Great staff, and they never give up! Devon went above and beyond to get my very old, worn-out work truck running like it hasn’t in a long time. I’ve had 3 repairs done here and a couple of tires replaced and see no reason to go anywhere else. Counter staff is always friendly and helpful and the mechanics obviously know what they’re doing. Management here is top-notch.

Finding a screw in a tire on my Tesla, I brought it to Auburn Tire after calling them. The manager Paul greeted me, and with no delay directed me an open bay: in minutes the screw was out and they verified that there was no air leak. Paul refused any payment. He was fast, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend this business.

My car was breaking down a week before I had to make a 16 hour drive home for Christmas and I had a very tight budget and a very broken car. Devin and the people at UTA worked extensively with me to get a car that could safely get me home at a price I could afford and the drive back was one of the smoothest I've had, and they fixed all these issues in less than a day. They're great at communicating what's going on, what will cost what, and I think give good general advice for taking care of your car. UTA should definitely be your "go to" reliable guys.

Paul Daniel is the real deal! He is polite, honest and concerned about the work his repair shop does. My son attends Auburn U and they replaced his brakes in September of 2020. After driving back home to NY in May the back brakes started to sound like they were grinding. I reached out to Paul and he found a place 15 min. from my home in NY and the brakes were in fact defective and parts and labor were fully covered. Paul went out of his way to help us out even though we are 15 hours away! I highly recommend this repair shop and I feel quite relieved knowing that my son has a good honest caring mechanic while he attends school at Auburn U!

Just Awesome! I cant say enough good things about University Tire! My son was heading home on Friday afternoon when the check engine light come on and the car went into limp mode. Such courteous service and super quick to help. I’m an older single female and my low air pressure light was on. I had put air in myself and my light was still on. I pulled in and ask for a check, it literally took them less than 5 minutes to help me, check the pressure on my tires and they even gave me two covers for the tire air thingy’s😂 When I asked what I owed them, they said no charge. I’ve had this same issue before and other tire places charged me $10. Super nice and friendly. When I actually need new tires, this is where I will purchase them. Thanks University Tire!

I'm an Auburn University student and work while in school so having a vehicle is a big deal. My starter recently went out and UTA had it replaced within the week. The entire crew is amazing to work with and talk to. I've been to several shops over the years and my experience here was by far the most honest. I cannot recommend this place enough! The staff is incredible and so trustworthy. They really go out of their way for customers, and never try to up-sell you unnecessarily. I got a flat tire on a Friday afternoon and the manager personally drove to go get me a new tire and stayed past closing to make sure I got my car back as quickly as possible. University Tire and Auto has terrific prices. I was originally quoted $270 to change a single tire at another tire shop but, University Tire and Auto charged me $130. Surprisingly, that is not the main reason why I would recommend this establishment. The people who work there genuinely care about you. They take the time to learn about their customers and find the best solution to your issue. Not enough businesses put the customer first, like University Tire and Auto does. Took it in early for a problem that had been going on for months. I was in and out in under an hour with the heat shield removed and my tire fixed. They were very transparent and communicated all my options to me. Car troubles always suck and having an honest mechanic makes it so much easier. They weren't trying to screw me out of anything and gave me a student discount for going to Auburn. On top of great service, all the staff is really friendly (they even offered to drive me to campus if the appointment ran long to make a meeting). Also coffee and WIFI is a plus to sit and do a little work while you wait! As a student who is not from the area I would recommend them to anyone who needs work done. It's a relief to have a shop I can trust here.
