They are honest and do great work, and won’t sell you something you don’t need. Have actually not done work other places told me I needed. It’s a peace of mind leaving my car there. Will definitely be using The Garage’s service again! When I missed my early morning appointment with the Garage, due to my alarm clock not going off, I called to see if I could reschedule. To my delight, I found that I could set an appointment for 12PM that same day. After arriving and having the breaks checked, they gave me an overview of what was wrong and an estimate of how much it would cost to fix it. At the end they didn’t even charge me for the check up.

Sooo glad I found The Garage. It's now my "go to" for all services. Recently went for tire rotation, antifreeze check & oil change. They actually reset the engine oil life on steering column which wasn't done at the previous place. The people are my reason for returning; they are nice, professional & efficient. I was there months ago to have a motor replaced in door for electric window. I will return for any upcoming problems.

These guys are great! From the initial phone call all the way to picking up my vehicle, they were courteous, kind and professional. They took a look, broke down the estimate for me, gave me all the time I needed to make a decision, and after I decided to move forward, kept me updated via text about their progress and had me back on the road the very next day when they said they would. I don't think my vehicle drove as well when I first bought it as it did after they got hold to it. Give these guys a call, let them take care of you. You won't be disappointed!

I dropped my van off on a Sunday, leaving the keys and explanation of the problem in The Garage’s dropbox. (I’m thankful for the dropbox because that allows me to take a vehicle by when I have a ride home, not just when The Garage is open. The next day I got a text saying they received my vehicle, another text with the diagnosis and cost, and a third text when it was done (that afternoon). I appreciated getting texts instead of calls since I’m often on the phone for work and may not be able to answer a call. I paid a reasonable price and received quick, honest service.

The drop off box, email and text updates are time savers and they always ask my permission before they begin any work. I can not say enough about how amazing my experience was with this company. I had heard from word of mouth of this business but mostly advertisement on the radio 93.7 WDJC. From the beginning, I receive a response to an email I sent on a Sunday night within 30 minutes. I called The Garage for brake work. Jason said he needed to look at the car first before he could give me an estimate on the cost. I was scheduled to see him on a Wednesday, and then come back on Thursday for the actual brake repairs. Well, as my day on Wednesday progressed it was obvious I needed the work done THAT day instead of delaying it another day. I called Jason, and he said to come on in and he'd see if they could fit me into the schedule. Fortunately, he was able to fit me into their workload that day, and within a couple hours I was back on the road and feeling great about the work that was done at The Garage! Jason was very helpful and attentive to our plight, and I felt the pricing was fair for the amount of work performed. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and just as an FYI, the restrooms were very clean and sanitary. As of right now, I can't see myself taking my car anywhere else for service. It would be nice however if they were open on Saturdays, that would make it convenient for customers who otherwise have a hard time dropping their cars off for repairs. I'd initial heard about them on the radio, so I checked them out and they were very honest with my vehicle needs, informing me of what I needed and what I didn't (they were a 2nd opinion). This shop provides the most honest, prompt, and professional work than any other mechanic/dealership you could bring your vehicle to. They have worked on 3 of our vehicles and are always up-front and transparent about the issues. They just performed a significant repair in one business day, when the Ford Dealership couldn't/wouldn't do in 4 full business days. The Garage has been working with my company and personal vehicles for over 10 years. Their honesty and thoroughness is indescribable. I have self diagnosed many of my vehicles and asked them for repairs. I get a call that I was wrong (of course) and the repair was cheaper than what I had asked for...or they replaced a fuse for free and sent me home. I will not work with any other company. I would rather have my car towed 1,000 miles than settle for another company.

They must have read they disappointment in my face because when I went to pick it up and pay my bill, not only was the price for parts and labor lower than they had said but I also received an extra discount! My auto repair shop of choice for years, I have paid extra just to get my vehicle towed to The Garage, I trust them completely. The Garage is very affordable and provides top-notch service on time, every time. I dropped my vehicle off at noon and picked it up 2 hours later, they do what they say and say what they do. I have no complaints about the quality of work or the friendly staff. They called me in a timely manner and let me know the problem and cost of repair. I felt I had no choice to allow them to repair my vehicle as I had it towed to their shop and it would not have been cost effective to have it towed to another shop. The cost of repairs were a good bit above average cost, compared to two other shops I checked. I probably will not take my vehicles to be repaired here again, just because of price. I believe in an honest fair price for an honest good job. The fair price part is what will keep me from having my repairs done at this shop. Sorry guys, it's just the principle of the thing. P.S. The shops I checked were very reputable shops as well. ///// UPDATE: Bob called me concerned about this post and pointed out the fact that the part they used was OEM factory Nissan part. That was my mistake, as I didn't look at the invoice closely, to see that the cost of the part was 150% more than an after market part that you could get at a parts store like Advance Auto Parts. I understand that OEM parts are more expensive. I want to make it clear now that I looked the invoice closely, that the cost of their labor was in line with any reputable shop. I wish I had the choice to choose between an OEM part or after market part. I probably will give them call, next time I need service and see if I can have that choice. I apologize for the oversight on my part. I guess it was sticker shock and I agreed to have it repaired, because I needed my vehicle back right away. I didn't ask questions to the effect of why it was so expensive. Lesson learned! These guys really do want to do a good honest job. I wanted to make this right!!

I really love this garage. I actually trust that I'm being told the correct things about my car. I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of. A couple of times I've been told that my quote was one thing, and then come back and it was actually less than that because they didn't charge me all the way up to the quote if they didn't need to do something. They're also quick to tell you something is necessary or if you can put it off for a bit. They seem actually want to help, not just rack up on labor charges. All in all, I recommend this garage to everyone I know.

This is by far the most professional, honest and fair repair shop I've ever been to or heard of. They take care of their customers and charge rates that are consistent and reasonable. I hate paying for car repairs, but I don't know a better group of guys to give my money to. I recommend them all the time to anyone that mentions that there needs some work. I always get honest service at a good price. I especially appreciate the help Bob and Justin give me as a female. They have told me before that service I thought was due could wait several months (brake work) and I have seen them tell other women that service they had been told elsewhere was needed actually was not. I have to wait on my service so I have spent plenty of time in the lobby (which is clean, comfortable and plenty of magazines for men and women) and have observed how staff treat clients. They take appointments so no long waits, the price they give you is what the price really is and if they find something else, they always discuss it with you. I have gotten a quote from another garage for the same service and it was $400 more than The Garage (got a coupon in the mail and just had to check the place out but I went back to The Garage.) I have recommended them to many friends and they always say the same things about The Garage and are happy I told them about the place. Won't take my cars anywhere else.

I’ve been a customer of the Garage for years. I recently moved to Tuscaloosa and tried to take my car to a place nearby but they were not honest with me at all. I ended up making the drive to Pelham and sure enough, The Garage told me the REAL probelm with my car and fixed it (as well as saving me literally HUNDREDS of dollars from people trying to lie to me...). I always recommend The Garage to EVERYONE! They’re incredibly honest and have been so good to me over the years. You can trust these guys to accurately diagnose your car problems and fix things right the first time. Loved my experience here. I am from California. I drove to Alabama and began to experience a terrible sound. I asked a friend for a local, trustworthy mechanic. I came here, they took my van for a couple hours and called me back to let me know what the problem was. Since they could not repair it, the muffler needed to be welded, they returned my van and did not charge me anything.

Brought my car in after a weird noise and trouble starting it up. They tried to recreate the issue a couple of times but couldn't so they changed the oil and assured me everything had been checked and it was safe to drive. Thet said to bring it back in if issues come up again. I was fully expecting to pay for a big repair and they could have easily ripped me off but didn't. I think the issue may have been related to the ac being on when I started the car because it will make that same noise but if I just have the ac off when starting there are no issues and the ac runs fine after that. Strange. We will for sure be back to The Garage when we do have issues in the future because of the honesty and customer service demonstrated. Thanks!
