We purchased a new vehicle from GMC with the help from Tim Harman. He was absolutely great! My husband and I are both healthcare workers and one night my old car just went down the drain. We found a vehicle we liked and they got us in to see it ASAP. Tim was very personable and honest. We had to wait a few days for the vehicle to get inspected and detailed but it was worth the wait. Everyone was kind and helpful throughout the process of purchasing a new car. We will definitely go back when we need another vehicle. Thank you so much Tim, we appreciate it!!

Bought a used truck working with Tim Harmon and Alec. Both were great. Offered a fair price. Sales process was smooth if a bit long. Out in 3 hours. I pre-arranged my financing with my credit union and they were able to beat that rate by 30 basis points.
Giving a preliminary 5 stars because when I got the truck home I found a crack in the windshield from a rock strike. This was not pointed out during sales process. Waiting to see how they handle this and will amend my review as this issue resolves.

I have never dealt with such a diligent, accommodating and great sales team. I called with a question about buying a new car, with a list of things that needed to be met IF i were to consider buying, and they made it happen. Even after I called off the deal a couple times due to timing and interest rates. They creatively put together a deal and an offer I couldn't refuse. It was a great experience.

Matt in Service is awesome to work with. I am not from the area, but I was traveling near Billings when I had an electrical issue of unknown origin that lit up my dash with warning lights. I stopped in and spoke with Matt and though they were fully booked for the day he was able to work me in and had my car ready to go by later that day. I am so grateful for the his help and would highly recommend this service department. They were great!

From the starting phone call to schedule my appointment until my car was delivered back to me, everything was great. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by Patrick who immediately greeted me and engaged me in a nice conversation, where we found out that we had something’s in common growing up.
As we spoke he was writing up the work order, he made me feel like I was the only person in the service garage, all his attention was on me, he offered me a ride to work and then told me that they would bring my vehicle to me after it was done, that right there was the icing on the cake, it took a great experience and made it better. Patrick and the team, did everything they said they were going to do on time and with no issues. Great experience, job well done.

I called to make an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and recall and was greeted by Brenda, who was very friendly and said she had an even better offer for me than the one on the mailer in my hand, and she would make sure I received the best offer for my appointment. In scheduling my day around picking my kids up from school, I decided to drop my SUV off a few hours earlier than my appointment, and was running errands with a friend when Matt called and said my SUV was done - it was 40 minutes before my original appointment plan! I was shocked and so grateful, because that eliminated the stress of juggling cars and schedules later in the day to pick up my SUV. Matt was friendly and efficient, just like he was at my first oil change appointment, and I am so grateful to have a local dealership where I feel comfortable and appreciate their wonderful employees that go above and beyond to ensure a great experience for their customers.

Had to have my GMC truck 2020 towed here. Wouldn’t start. Patrick in service was very helpful and keeping us informed on the diagnosis and repair. I had to rent a car and Kenny was very nice when picking me up once my truck was ready. The starter was replaced and we were back in business in 3 days.

Was able to get in within a couple days. Pulled up, service tech knew who I was and why I was there. Honest, friendly, and didn't try to push anything. In and out within 2 ½ hours for an oil change with rotation, alignment, and TPMS and valve stem service. Must have a lot of techs because they had a lot of cars in for service and it didn't seem to slow them down. Would definitely go back again and recommend.

We were in Billings from out of town, picking up a boat, and we thought our trailering system wasn’t working in our brand new GMC. They were going to fit us right in so we can get back on the road. Fortunately, we found out it was a different braking system on the boat and everything was fine, but we appreciated them so much for working us in. All of the staff was very friendly and professional. We would definitely recommend them.

When I was at the dealership and having a vehicle being serviced, the customer service is amazing. But if you ever leave a message to have them call back you’re out of luck. I don’t know if the answering machine doesn’t work or if they just don’t return calls. A courtesy call back would be wonderful when you are trying to get help with vehicle issues.
One time not getting a call back isn’t an issue, but three different left messages over a week and no one calls back?

Bought a car from Mike M. IT WAS A ONE STOP SHOP! I came in with my own financing and they found a better rate by 2%. They gave me a better trade in price then I had been given at another dealership in town. Not only was it a easy pleasant experience, I will be back to buy from Mike in future.

Made an appointment online for an oil change. All of the service staff were polite and accommodating! I was present for the walk around of my truck and the gentleman showed me where the wait area was. There was a recall that the service center addressed while I was in. Overall a great experience!

Staff is friendly and professional. Waiting area has plenty of various seating options and they provide TV, wifi, coffee maker. I did have an established appointment for an oil change and a rotate. My vehicle was not a Make specific to their dealership, so the oil filter did have to be ordered and that contributed to a longer wait time. The whole service took almost two hours. Which would be my only note for improvement. I've been to shops where even the main line techs knock out a oil/rotate/inspection in less than an hour.

I must say I am very pleased to take this survey and for the following reasons - If at any time while I'm out shopping regardless of where it may be Wal-Mart, COSTCO or wherever if I'm treated with dis-respect I let Management know and by the same token If I'm treated with genuine warmth and kindness I let Management know that as well. I also feel it is important that top level Management know person(s) by name whom is an asset to their firm.
That being said on October 10th I went in to Rimrock GMC to purchase a 2022 or 2023 Denali Pickup. I was greeted with a very warm and friendly smile by the receptionist (Diana Wise), I asked if I could speak to Mr Rod DeMurias, a name given to me through the COSTCO Auto Program. I explained to this gentleman the vehicle I was looking to purchase.
He presented me with various vehicles in his inventory, and I chose one that had the specifications I was looking for, Mr Demurias gave me a price he could sell this vehicle for and much to my suprise it was for much less than I had anticipated on paying for such a Beautiful Pickup.
This entire transaction was completed within less than a couple of hours.

You guys left my rear window down after service, parked in front parking lot , after service was closing. My buisness leather bag containing 2000.00 Lenova lap top was in the bag + important documents - , left to be stolen . Luckily it wasn’t taken ! Huge oversight. Truck was ALSO left unlocked !

We drove down from Great Falls to look at a newly listed used car. Rachel was amazing getting it ready for us. She even called to check on us during our drive! Great price on an oil change, they squeezed me in on a Saturday. I found the mechanic to sales person a little off, lots of well dressed men & women trying to sell cars/trucks to the people waiting for over 2 hours for an oil change. Saturdays I understand would be a slow day for mechanical stuff, service is a big part of buying a new vehicle I will try again on a week day but if it's faster to buy a new truck than it is to get it's oil changed I'm going somewhere else

Friendly and professional staff. I worked with Darren and Rachael in purchasing a new SUV. The process could not have been simpler. Price negotiations were straight forward and fair. Tyler (sales manager) even threw in 2 years of oil changes and delivery of the vehicle to Absarokee (60+ miles). Very happy with the purchase experience and look forward to working with the dealership in the future (service etc.) Definitely recommend GMC of Billings.
Note: I had dealt with prior ownership when they were Rimrock GMC and the new staff is much, much better. Staff was great and they have a very good selection of vehicles despite the current supply shortages.

I was traveling with my elderly parents, and we had a breakdown 2000 miles from home. The service team made room for us on the same day. The issue was something we were unable to repeat at the dealer, and I was worried it was going to be one of those obscure problems that would be hard to find, but we left it at the service department and returned home. Within a week the service department let us know they found the problem and had the part on order. Once the part was in they had the issue fixed and let us know and were very understanding and helpful about us getting back out there to pick it up. The only request they had is that we let them know a day before we get there so they could have it washed up for us. I believe the service person who worked with us is named Joe, and he was extremely friendly, and went into great detail with us when trying to document the problem with the truck, and took a lot of notes. Great guy. I wish I were in the market for a new vehicle so I could buy from Rimrock.

I would like to say I am very pleased with GMC Cadillac of Billings, in particular with Brandon Fullerton, the sales associate who took care of my case. I was looking for an entry level car for my kid, who just turned 16. Brandon found me an used Toyota Rav 4 they took in a deal. The car had some issues, but nothing structural. This is when we see how trustworthy and effective a sales person is, as well as the services of the dealership. Brandon pointed out every single detail of the car, both pros and cons, and committed to deliver me the car in good shape, running smoothly and safely. That was exactly what happened. I said I would buy the car if the issues were addressed and they really took care of it. The car was in my desired price range and they offered me a great financing rate. I am very happy with my acquisition and confident that my kid will drive a safe and dependable car. But I would like to highlight Brandon’s support in the whole process. He was very professional and transparent, listening to me and really making all the efforts to give me the best service and purchasing conditions. It you go to GMC Cadillac, look for Brandon. One thing is to have a deal done. Of course, all sales associates are interested in closing the best possible deals. But Brandon was above end beyond. He really wanted to make me feel comfortable and confident with the deal and was genuinely interested in attending what I was looking for, rather than simply pushing me an used car. He understood my concerns with the vehicle and addressed them. I give Brandon and GMC five stars! I would buy again from them without hesitation.

We were on vacation in Montana, about 60 miles south of Billings. When we got back in the car and started it, we had every warning light on on the panel except the check engine light, and were given at least 15 different warnings to dismiss. The car seemed to drive fine but we had lost all gauges along with all the lights and warnings. I called GMC of Billings and told them what was going on and said we were about 45 minutes away. Matt in the service department was very friendly on the phone and said to come on in and they would get us fixed up.
When we arrived he was ready for us and they got to checking the car over right away. We went across the street to grab some lunch, when we got back it wasn’t long until they had us fixed up (a computer issue in the car). Matt told us to enjoy our vacation, we said thanks, where do we pay? He said no charge, have fun in Montana. Thank you so much for your kindness and knowledge in getting our car fixed. From a Missouri family, we appreciated it more than you know!

We drove 4 hours to look at a vehicle. We test drove, negotiated, got through financing and were back on the road in 2.5 hours. We have bought many vehichles over the past 5 years from many dealerships and this was a great experience.

We have been buying cars both new and used from Rimrock for years. The past few years GMC/Cadillac has become our go to place. The buying experience is no hassle or messing around, they have given us what I feel is a fair price on trades first go around, and given manufacturers discounts etc. without us asking. Our sales gal, Rachel, has been amazing to work with on our last two purchases. She is easy to get ahold of and communicates clearly and promptly. Matt has worked to get us the best rates possible and has been no pressure when we are able to get a better rate through our own bank. They found an issue on the title for our most current trade in and Matt was able to guide us through exactly what we needed to do to correct it so that he could purchase the vehicle from us. Don’t even get me started on Patrick in the Service Department. He ALWAYS recognizes us when we are at the dealership and has even greeted me when he saw me pull in the parking lot to make sure something wasn’t wrong with the car I had just purchased, even though I was only there to sign papers. 10/10 for this place the last couple years, give them a shot 👍🏻

I can’t say enough good things about Billings GMC parts department and service department! My 2022 GMC AT4 car broke down while traveling from Northern Nevada to Helena Montana to see my family, as I do every summer because I am from Montana. I had to leave my vehicle at Butte GMC. I was able to locate the part needed to fix my vehicle at the Billings GMC dealership. They worked together with me and the Butte GMC dealership to get the part sent over to Butte to get my car repaired as quickly as possible. The parts manager, the service department manager and their employees were all so amazing in helping me out. They understood my distress as I did not have a vehicle to drive and I had traveled alone with my two young daughters when this happened. But luckily I have family all over Montana including Helena and I was able to borrow a family member’s car while waiting to get my vehicle fixed. I felt like everyone at Rimrock did a fantastic job, truly cared about getting me the best interest rate the best everything! I am so thankful I chose to drive to get my car- hands down this was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I had to drive from WA state to MT and was kept in the loop about the car the whole time. We arrived and everything was done! Even got a lower interest rate, all warranty’s were explained in detail. All paperwork explained in detail! My kids were taken care of with TV/coloring area, coco and water! I am just so impressed! I can’t say enough how happy I was with the experience. I was disappointed in the fact that after paying such a large statement that my vehicle was not washed and vacuumed. After complaining to Mat the service writer, he gave me a wash card for a local wash company. My bill was considerably higher than quoted due to some unforeseen charges. That was a little disappointing. Service wise the truck was taken care of.

2012 GMC Acadia: Started out good, but when we picked up car, things needed to done which we would have to drive 3 hours both ways again to have them fixed(Extended warranty was purchased). We've been trying get an answer if parts were in since we purchased in February, just had vehicle serviced on April 4th, still not all fixed. No one there with authority to give the okay, so, we were told. Waited hours for service, no calls to me that any problems had arisen, so, prom shopping we did while waiting. My husband and I spoke to multiple people about service needed, and was told the notes stated everything that we had told them. But, miraculously, when we got to the dealership, I was told there was nothing stated, no due bills nothing. So, where did the information go? Still the headliner is coming out, the headlights need adjusting, paint chip needs doing...the only things that did get done were the torn seatbelt and window tint on the front doors and windshield. All that time and money we spent to travel from Wyoming to Montana to have this done, gone.

Had a great experience last night! Showed up on New Years Eve around 430pm, right after I got off work. Was looking at new GMC Terrains and some used SUV's. Met Cortez, very well dressed, friendly salesman who immediately went to work. They had a few 2021 Terrains and the bright blue one caught my eye. So I test drove it and was leary because I had never bought a brand new vehicle before and didn't think I would qualify for it. So I wondered the lot looking at used suvs with the new terrain stuck in my head. Cortez walked with me and did not pressure me and was very patient. So I decided to go inside and see what they could do for me as far as financing. It took awhile and many many inquiries with different lenders and adjusting numbers but they got my payments where I could afford them. They all worked very diligently to get me into a brand new car! We didn't leave there until 830 but I left in my brand new 2021 GMC Terrain! I traded in my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe (which I was upside down in) but they were able to pay my old loan off! I am very appreciate to all the the finance ladies and gentlemen who helped in the process and of course to Cortez who was very personable, helpful, and appreciative of me and my husband's time! I highly recommend this dealership and we will be returning when my husband wants to buy a new truck!

Service manager did not the my warranty information when I dropped off the vehicle so when I was picking it up he did not know what was covered or what my deductible was. The technician that checked out the vehicle indicated the clunking in the rear was from tools I had in the trunk without checking it out. With that said it was still better than Denny Menhult.

Taking a trip, from Buffalo, NY, across the country to visit Yellowstone Park is not a road trip for the faint of heart. The possibility of your vehicle breaking down while towing a camper and not knowing anyone is even more daunting. Well, that’s exactly what we did and yes we did have a breakdown! Fortunately we were just outside of the Billings exit when our truck started to indicate that it was about to betray us. We pulled into the Rimrock GMC dealership, completely at their mercy, and met someone with a kind face and gentlemanly demeanor, Patrick Pringle. He had one of his technicians look at the vehicle immediately, eventually determining that the problem was the fuel pump. We needed to stay the night in a local, very nice, hotel. I received a call from Patrick the next morning letting me know that my truck was repaired. Back at the dealership Patrick was very aware that we wanted to continue on with our vacation and got us going again but not before he gave me a break on the cost of the job. I was very thankful for his assistance, what could have been a devastating breakdown 1800 miles from home was a bump in the road for us. Thank you Patrick and thanks to the mechanics that helped us. I had my oil service coupon on my computer at home and when I first showed up they would not let me get my oil changed. The said I needed it in person. Luckily I found a vehicle salesman that was willing to help me look it up. It would be nice if your service reps had the ability to download the coupons right there. Originally stopped by to have a battery and alternator checked out. Working with the service advisor, we also pulled up my Sierra’s service records. Because we pull a trailer and off-road, I like to maybe do maintenance more often than normal. I was asked if I would like to repeat my service, no pressure to do so. Knowing our travel plans, I concurred.
While there, I visited the Part’s Department for a part. They did not have it, but did find one at the nearby Chevy dealership.
Although the Sales Department did not have a lot on the lot to look at, they were also wiling to answer any questions about what they did have in stock.
The Service Area was very clean. The showroom and waiting area clean, convenient and comfortable. Restrooms were clean and coffee, hot chocolate, and a fridge were available. Aside from books, IF you have a small child, they might become a bit bored.
All the employees were friendly and helpful. Service advisor explained what we agreed to have done. And, the truck was returned washed.
For now, I plan on returning to the dealership for future servicing. Can’t say I didn’t spend a lot of $$. But that was only because of CANDY USA and REI were nearby!🤫

Just purchased a used Escape and I’d give this dealership a middle of the road rating for a couple of reasons. The good: our salesperson, Marquise, was very personable and helpful. In fact, all of the staff was courteous. We were able to take the care for a short test drive without the salesperson, which is a nice change from other dealerships we dealt with. Not surprisingly, the finance office sold their extended warranties assertively, but were professional and courteous as we declined. The vehicle price was competitive with other sources available in town, including online only sales. One word of caution, you will be presented with a “finishing touch” product pitch to protect the paint and interior that is supposed to be guaranteed for 3 years. It was presented to us an option, but when we went to sign the paperwork, we were told that all vehicles on the lot over 48 days were automatically coated with it. We felt this was deceptive in terms of pricing. If the coating is non-negotiable, why not say that upfront with the price of the car? This tactic is clearly designed to line the dealership’s pockets. This alone added an extra $1000 plus to our car loan. We went ahead and got the car, but you better believe I will be up there if there are any stains or scuffs on my car. Overall, if you can deal with the typical sales tactics, this is a decent option for buying a used car.

The General Manager took my review seriously and said that the Sales Manager has been reprimanded and offered me 50% off on the part for my new car. I changed my stars from a 1 to 4 because I bought a new car that was damaged and they said they would fix 100%. Well I got 50% fix and paid 50% for the rest. So a 100% happy, no but happier. Patrick in Service is still outstanding and trying to do his best to make me 100% happy, so big props go out to Patrick in Service Dept. I rate him 5 Stars.

Went in for service, oil change price was a bit above industry standard. However, the real kicker was when they called me weeks later to rectify an "accounting error" in which, I owed them $100. However, we found the hour and a half we spent at the dealership quite unpleasant due to the horrible music blaring from dozens of speakers--even in the bathroom and outdoors. The service tech said the low alert was due to the change of weather. When I got back to Wyoming the tire again registered low. Upon taking to a local tire shop the tire had a nail in it.

A Big Thanks to Mike Cairns and his service team at Rimrock GMC. We were traveling from Idaho to Minnesota in my 2020 Silverado 3500 when the service emissions trouble light came on and it was going to go into reduced power long before we would reach our destination. We were near Billings, MT around 6 pm on Friday evening and called a Chevy dealer in Billing and they were unable to help us. As we were considering our options we saw the Rimrcok GMC Cadillac dealer and decided to stop in and see if they were able to help. Mike and his crew were done working for day and getting ready to leave when we arrived. We explained our dilemma and Mike asked one of the Tech’s if he would be willing to stick around and take a look at our truck. Obviously he did and was able to diagnose the problem and clear the codes. We were able to continue on and made it home without further trouble. The customer service was above and beyond what is expected for a good customer let alone someone who is passing by on the interstate and likely never returning as a customer.

I signed papers on a new 2020 GMC 1500 Sierra nearly 3 weeks ago. I guess it is being held up in Butte on a rail car before bring transferred to Bozeman then on to Billings.
Some things just don't add up in the whole process as I would be getting some answers in a hurry if I was the dealership.
I have even received all of the payment information from the bank. I was told it is all because of the Covid-19 Virus, but I didn't think the train or pick-up could get Covid...Silly Me.
I think I will give it a few more days then just call the whole deal off. My pickup I have now is still good, just bigger than we need, so I'll just keep it if all else fails.
Actually, if I wait a few more weeks, I probably could get a 2021. That way it wouldn't remind me of this wonderful year...2020.
Anyway, I'll update this message in a few days so people will know if they should shop at RimRock GMC or not.
