I had a great experience at Scott's U-Save. I needed a complete set of tires for my 4-year-old Hyundai Sonata. I spoke with Tony in the tire department and he had a quote for me within 10 minutes. I was able to get upgraded Michelin tires that he ordered for me. They were there for me within the day and my car was completed the same day even though the store was very busy. Their pricing was better than any major discount auto repair chain. The service was quick and efficient. What counted more was that I got great customer service, responsiveness and quality auto care. I will definitely be back for new brakes soon. I would highly recommend Scott's U-Save to family and friends. Scott's is just about 2 blocks south of Steger Road at 35th Place on Chicago Road on the west side of the street.

Fast and friendly. I got new wheels and tires and my wife got a lift kit, wheels, and tires. Lift was done in a couple days and wheels only took a couple days to arrive. Selection wasn’t the best but I’m still satisfied. They also have financing if your short on cash.

I have been to Scott's U Save in Steger, IL four or five times over the past five years for various reasons. My most recent visit was to have my tires and brakes inspected. I have found the staff to be courteous and helpful. I was always informed of any work that needed to be done to my vehicle along with the costs before any repairs were completed. The waiting room is comfortable with a TV and a charging station. There is also a coffee area as well. I highly recommend Scott's U Save for your automotive service and repairs.

Regular maintenance. Scott’s has serviced all of my cars since the day they opened. Usually, other than tires and oil change the get may cars after warranty has run out. They have done work on many new cars as well as second and third cars in our family. In fact this last visit was to change the oil and rotate the tires on my 2007 Ford Five Hundred(many don’t even know what that is) it has 194,000 miles and running strong. Get your oil changed it one of the best things you can do! Lol😎

Each and every time I come to Scott’s I am pleased. I feel as if I have received “white glove” treatment. I make an appointment and I will get right in. If you need a shuttle, they are open to doing so. Prices are more than fair and I never feel as if they are trying to squeeze every dime out of me. They tell you what you need and make sure that you understand what is recommended. When you get your tires with them, you get a lifetime with rotations. What more can you ask for?

Great service! My brakes were inspected and I was told exactly what was wrong with them as well as what work was needed to repair my brakes (front and rear). I was also informed that the treads on my front tires were low. The repairs took about a couple of hours. The price was fair and my brakes work fine. I highly recommend Scott’s U Save.

The changed my oil and rotated my tires. Good work pretty fast service. My issue was they gave me a list of repairs that I needed. Took it to my uncle who is a mechanic and nothing they listed was actually wrong with the vehicle. They will take advantage of women that come in to get service. They actually did this to me twice. I went down the street to Keith’s small engine shop with my two snow blower tires that had lost air over the winter. No holes, so no patch or replacement needed. I thought they’d throw some air in them and I’d be on my way. The service was obliged, however at the price of $30. $30 to re bead two 4.5 inch tubeless tires. I called the nearest auto repair shop, Scott’s, and was told to come on in, “We may not be equipped to fix them, but we’ll give it a shot.” I walked in, Dave , the gentleman I spoke to, took my tires, handed them to a tech, and two minutes later and not a penny lighter ,I was on my way home. Meh. It's convenient because its close but I only get tire repairs done. Most expensive tires I've ever bought in life. Went in for a tire repair and they start talking about I need brakes. Had my regular mechanic check my brakes - they're fine. Pads and rotors in good condition.

This weekend I needed a really hard to find tire for my Volkswagen, a 255/45. I called Scott’s U Save and spoke to Sam, she was amazing! She checked the computer, and there it was. She said she wanted to make sure she had it in stock, let me go and put my hands on it first, I was sold right there! At that very moment I felt taken care of and that this company means what they say, that builds trust in my book. The tire was very reasonable, the next service was recommended without being pushy or sale “sy”. Thank you Brad for following up to assure all went well with service and the product. Absolutely love this place! After having trouble with my car for a few weeks and taking it do many different shops, nobody could quite pin point what was wrong with my car. Went online to search auto shops near me and came across Scott’s. Took my cae and they did a diagnostic and within a few hours they made me aware of what was wrong with my car. Super detailed and explained everything to me. They were super professional from the minute I walked in and service was fast. They let me know my car would be ready for pick up the following day. Now my car is driving as smooth as ever and I couldn’t be more happier. I am well pleased with the service I recently received at Scott's U-Save. The mechanic made two trips to discuss with me in detail his findings, based on what I described and his inspection. The second discussion was to explained the completed repairs. The cost was very reasonable and my car is driving better than it has in a while. The waiting area is nice, very clean and spacious and they offer coffee and bottled water. It was a great experience and I would definitely refer them and return as a customer. 😊 Brad followed up a few days after my car had been serviced and I really appreciated that. It's a lost art that is extremely rare and almost impossible to find. It sealed my relationship with them.

I have been using Scott's U Save for my tires now almost 31 years. They are professional, they are on time, and they have the best prices on tires anywhere in the Chicago area. I almost didn't want to give them a good rating because I am afraid of them getting too much business and then being crowded when I go in. It was a very pleasant experience, from speaking to an employee on the phone, to the employees I spoke with at Scott's. My battery had died, so for me, it was an emergency. They set me up with an appointment time the morning I called, and they got me right in, as soon as I arrived. Their waiting area is always very clean, and with the Pandemic, that was very important to me. They provide an extra seating area, where the chairs are very spaced out. I was there for less than an hour. The price of the battery was in line with what I had seen online, before I went in. The employees were very courteous.

Extremely knowledgeable team here, they found issues other shops didn't and although I wasn't thrilled to hear that, they let me in the garage and showed me the clearly visible problems and explained to me what was going on and gave me plenty of options and patience to work with my budget. My brakes were in extremely bad shape (grinding and scraping) and a friend of mine recommended Scott's auto shop to me after they did similar work on her own brakes and gave her a fair price for their services. I went early on a Monday to get an inspection on my car. The inspection took less than an hour to complete and cost me $25. Brad was very kind and helpful and gave a full explanation of the damage and what needed to be done to have it fixed. He gave me an estimate of about $850 which I thought was fair (another auto shop wanted me to pay $1600 for the same work). I told him that I would definitely be back. I came back the next day around 9AM and I once again spoke to Brad who was able to get started right away. I waited for about 3 and a half hours in the waiting area (which was very clean and comfortable and was equipped with a TV, magazines, and Wi-Fi). I paid a total of $850 for the services done to my car and drove off 100% satisfied. I would definitely recommend Scott's U-Save to anyone who is looking to have high quality service done to their car and looking to get a good deal. Their staff is very respectful and helpful and happy to answer any questions. I'd also recommend coming in earlier in the week when they first open as it's less crowded and you're more likely to get in and out without having to wait all day. I'll most likely be visiting Scott's again the next time I need work done to my car. Thanks a lot Brad!

Update: I have since returned for new tires. Their service is amazing and fast. My car is driving much better now and I feel so much safer. Scott's is amazing! I’m not one to review, however I feel this is much deserved. As a woman it can be very anxiety inducing taking your car into a shop, especially with the common stereotype of mechanics trying to scam you simply for not knowing much about cars. I went to Scott’s a few weeks ago due to an incredibly shaky wheel and burning smell, and not a single time did I feel uncomfortable. The professionalism is strong here; they lead you every step of the way and explain everything with great detail on your car. I have been a customer of Scott's for many years. Until recently, I thought of them as a tires and brakes facility, only. I took my Jeep to them last Winter for heater work and was quite satisfied with their treatment of not only the vehicle, but of me. They offered 2 options, and the less expensive one worked. Most recently, during an oil change (which they suggest making a reservation for, and they truly honor the reservation time as I have discovered) they found some items that although not dangerous to further drive upon, but to keep an eye on and repair in the next few months. Their desk associate, Jack, was most helpful in explaining the situation to me and then offering 2 different estimates for my perusal. I would certainly recommend Scott's to anyone for all vehicular repairs -- they are honest people and if their prices seem a tad high for your taste, keep in mind they do the job properly, thoroughly, and right the first time. You can rest assured of that.

I recently had a noise coming from my Jeeps rear end. When I called Scott's U-Save at about 8:05am, the gentlemen was super helpful and recommended I take my Jeep in right away. So I dropped my car off with them at about 8:30 that morning. By 9:15, that same gentlemen called and told me I had a few problems going on. He was very thorough with his explanation. I dont always understand what's wrong with my vehicle!!! But he made sure I understood and how much it would cost. I explained I had to be at work by 2pm that day so I could pick my car up the next day if needed. He ensured me that he could and would have my car fixed and ready to go by 12:30pm that same day so I could get to work. Sure enough, I got the call at 12:30pm!!!! I could not believe how quick and efficient Scott's U-Save was!!! I was super happy with the work done on my jeep and the overall experience I had. And to make things even better, I got a text from the gentlemen who worked on my car 3 days later checking in to make sure the work they did was good and if the car was running ok. The people I encountered were exceptionally friendly, very competent, and greeted with smiles. I didn’t have an extra ride available to pick me up once service was completed. So Scott’s U-Save agreed to drop off the car at my house, and I drove the rep back. The rep even waited patiently for me to take an extra five minutes to fasten two car seats in for my kids and responded to them very positively while waiting for me. This saved a big hassle of having to ask someone else for help or waiting for my husband to go with after a long day’s work to pick up the vehicle. Little disappointed with service. The technician didn't take the time to address resetting the tire sensor before returning the car. Could have saved us all time by taking care of this up front. Also, psi on each tire was different and none of them were the manufacturer recommendation. It's little things like this that make you go elsewhere.

The oil change & filter changes were done professionally. When I made the appt. by phone I mentioned I needed a light bulb changed in front, on the driver's side. I was given an estimated price at that time. When I came in for the appt. I mentioned the light to be changed. When I was told my car 's service was complete, the light had not been changed, and I was not charged for the light.

I've come here multiple times over the past few years and I'm always pleased with the products I purchase and the work the technicians do, but there is always a very long wait-even when I schedule a specific time for the work, show up early, and tell them I wull be waiting for the car. I purchased 4 new tires from them about a month ago, they said it would take 1.5-2 hours and it took about 3.5 hours. If you go here I'd recommend 1. Shopping around if you can and 2. Dropping the vehicle off or else bringing something to do.

Today I came in with an issue with my car after my tires just being rotated last Friday. Even though the problem was solved I am highly disappointed after 3 years of service with you'll from four new tires, to new rims, wheel alinement, and a tire rotate previously y'all really dropped the ball on this one which was a danger on my life. My car hadn't been driven all weekend so when I did drive it it was to and from work Monday night and coming back Tuesday morning. I work third shifts so when I brought my vehicle in I was told I couldn't get in untill 2pm but decided to come when I made it back out this way at 9am just getting off work. Jack was able to get me in at 11am but my main concern was how could you give me a car that y'all worked on back to me with my hub barons being put on wrong causing my cars steering wheel to shake aggressively. To my understanding had I hit a pot hole or big bump on the eway or any major highway not knowing what was the main cause of the issue who knows what could've happened. I never had any problems before but would like to know what can be done to prevent this from happening again because this is something that could've ended badly not just from me but for someone else as well.
