Pulled into our campground after three hours on the road and noticed a noise coming from the driver's side front wheel. Did some quick research and called KAMS Auto Service Center. Dropped it off that afternoon, received a call from them at the end of the day, hub bearing was going out, gave me a price that was good to me. Accepted walk in appointments for oil change. They almost didn’t get to my car and had to come back but this very nice, young mechanic (tall with curly hair) was able to accommodate me. He was great! Was thankful for that and would go back

We have always gone to Kams for repairs on our vehicles. It's nice to know that you have someone that you trust. They always tell you up front how much it's gonna cost and what needs done. They're great at communicating how long it will take as well!

I was traveling through Atlanta en route to Tennessee when the engine overheated on my 1998 Ford F150. I found KAMS on the AAA app. Many repair shops will not work on older vehicles, but KAMS did. Despite having a very high volume of customers, KAMS diagnosed and repaired my truck quickly. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely love this place!! I had a mechanic in Woodstock when I lived there and when I moved to Acworth I was very hesitant about finding a new mechanic. I did a lot of repairs with the help of my dad and finally I decided I had to find a new mechanic!! KAMS did not disappoint! They are honest mechanics and I would 100% go back again!

Honestly the best auto repair shop I've ever been to. I told Mr. Kams I needed brakes and oil change. Regarding my brakes I thought I needed front and rear. He gave me an estimate for both. He then called my back letting me know I only needed front brakes and requoted me another estimate saving me over $300. That was so generous of him! Most repair shops will just do it and over charge. But Kams is thinking of the customer first and provide amazing service through honesty. I'll definitely go back for future repairs.

I just picked my 2017 Ford F250 6.7 - diesel truck up from Kams Auto Service yesterday. Kams was recommended to me by a person I know and trust when it comes to finding good people or companies for services. I am a single mother who owns and operates her own business and have zero room for error when it comes to finances. To add to the stress of needing auto repairs, my truck is how I make my money so downtime and correct diagnosis and repair is a crucial element to me and my kid's survival. My truck was with Kams for a little over a week. Kams told me up front it could take that long to find and fix the issue. The truck runs great again and starts right up in the morning now. Here is the best part: when I asked Kams what the issue was they again were completely honest and replied "we have no idea, we took it completely apart and put it back together and the problem was gone" and it is. I was expecting at least a two thousand dollar bill which they could have charged me easily but they charged me around $400. I was literally crying with happiness! I have already told three other diesel driving, hard working friends of mine that from now on this is where all of our trucks will go. Thank you Kams! I will not forget your honesty and thoroughness ever.

Very clean office and the office manager was professional, friendly and welcoming. From my first and brief experience at KAMS it appears to run like a well oiled machine (in the garage). I gave 4 stars because I'm accustomed to the mechanic (who worked on my car) showing me what was done and recommending what should be done in the near future to maintain the vehicle. That extra service was provided by some mechanics when I lived in Ohio but have never had that experience in Georgia. That said, I recommend KAMS.

Quick service! Dropped the car off right before they closed on Saturday and the repair was done mid-day Monday. Not bad at all considering possible part and labor shortages. They replaced my dead AC compressor and recharged the system- working great now. Was a little bit pricier than I was hoping for, but the itemized invoice added up and made sense, and again for the speed and quality of work done I can’t complain- I assume they were fair. David was super nice and professional over the phone, very straight forward with details and pricing. Ivey was helpful and quick at both drop off and pickup, really seamless experience. I appreciate these guys and will be back, I enjoyed the no BS experience- not a single sales pitch or pressure to get anything additional done.

This was the 1st time I took my BMW for what I thought would be major repairs. I am definitely knowledgeable about cars because I retired from GM. However, when your a women auto mechanical shops try to take advantage of you more so than a man. So I seen this place had 5 stars and thought no way. But I have to admit after reading the reviews I decided to take my car there. Best decision I made and definitely 5 stars and reassured me in these small shops now. Listen I have been to many auto shops in my lifetime and there have been some really good ones but let me tell you when I went to KAMS I had the greatest experience ever! I needed engine coils spark plugs fuel injectors etc. I thought that the price was going to be outrageous but when David called me with your quote I started smiling from ear to ear! The prices are very reasonable, David was awesome the ladies at the front desk were amazing and the work was Epic. They finished it very fast and my car runs like it's new! This will be my permanent auto shop and I recommend you see for yourself how great they are!!!

They were very responsive to my vehicle needs. I brought it over to have it looked at because I had a broken head gasket. I called and they told me to bring it right over. I had starter issues with my vehicle so they wasn't able to get to the broken head gasket. I had to have it towed to the dealership because they were responsible for my starter issue. But I would definitely have KAMS service my vehicle if any other issues arise.

I've been using Ken and the people at KAM's for over a decade. Good, honest people who get the job done and stand behind their work. I had a weird issue on a 93 Dodge van that was so intermittent, I could not diagnose it. The guys at KAM's were able to figure it out and get it fixed. I know it's corny, but, I trust them.

Battery light was lighting up on the dash indicator panel. Had been making a whining noise. I left my car with them and they would call and let me know the problem and cost. With in a hour I received a call that my alternator had gone bad. They would text me when it was ready for pick up. They said it may be the next day before it would be ready. I received a text the next morning it was ready. Received a discount for having AAA. Good place to do business!!! 😎

First, reading the people who are giving them a low rating seem to either have no clue what they are talking about, or are self-entitled... I didn't experience anything like they talked about, and brought them something that could have easily been used against me to jack up the prices or services. I'm giving them a five star simply because I brought them a car that wasn't the norm. I have a 1976 Datsun 280Z with a SBC 350 swap in it. I brought it to them to help me with the carburetor, a fuel leak and rear suspension issues I was having difficulty repairing myself. They told me that there were a few cars ahead of me, but still managed to get my car back to me within the week! I was pleased. Fastest shop so far that has seen the car. As far as the service goes, the rear suspension I knew was going to be difficult, but they tackled the issue without even a comment. The carburetor was overhauled and tuned, and they said there was something about the sending unit in the fuel tank that needed replacement. Honestly, I didn't probe much about the sending unit.. There is still a slight leak in the fuel tank (possibly a line issue honestly), leaving a gaseous smell in my garage. (They wouldn't have seen this leak since it needed a full tank and I failed to bring it to them with one). And the carburetor still isn't perfect (After over an hour of driving it, the performance dips and had issues twice with the engine bogging down, as well as a random complete shut off) Both issues I don't blame them for, since they are limited and cannot just take a customer's car out for a two hour shake down drive. The prices were actually "normal" as far as other shops go when it comes to a unique car. Most shops will not even touch my car, and they didn't even hesitate to say yes. For that, and their clear communications and fair pricing, I give them a five star. I'm sure they'd rather not see my car ever again, but I would trust them with further services of my car in the future if it is things I cannot do on my own. I am planning on calling them about the fuel leak and carburetor issue to see what they think and possibly bring it back to have these dealt with (If they are comfortable tackling it again)

Hands down, best customer service, best prices and best people to work with. I'll tow a vehicle from across the state before I go anywhere else. They do everything - I might take my golf cart to Kams too! Twice now Kams has saved me hundreds of dollars taking the time and using their extensive knowledge to find alternatives or trying a lower cost option for me on multiple vehicles. I was told by another mechanic I needed a new front end and Kams noticed that was not the case, fixed the underlying issue for much cheaper. They earn my business every time I go there and I tell everyone I can about them!

Charged for brake fluid flush, totally unnecessary and not communicated to customer. Replaced brake rotors prematurely newer mechanic & supervisor did contact the owner but didn’t want to turn rotors for fear of brakes grabbing? Asked to leave battery leak to owner also cabin air filter but went ahead and replaced. Very Disappointed in excessive add on charges to bump up bill amount and give you a discount on labor not their overpriced parts.

Our Pathfinder broke down in a parking lot - shifter cable snapped. Our insurance agent recommended KAMS, and we had a wonderful experience!! Got the car towed, and then worked with David to fix the shifter cable. He was informative, kind, timely, and thorough. They fixed the shifter cable for a very fair rate, and then we had them look at the a/c, which has been out for four months. We had received a very high dealer quote for fixing the a/c, but KAMS fixed it for a much more reasonable rate. Very, very pleased. This will be our only automotive service center moving forward. We are KAMS fans!

I stopped in for my emissions test without an appointment AND 20 minutes before closing time, because as per usual I procrastinated until the last minute. Not only did they graciously do my emissions they were welcoming, friendly, reassuring and enjoyable. From the young tech who said hello when I pulled in, to the front desk person, to the young lady who did my emissions all made me feel confident enough that if I have any "real" issues with my car I will be calling them. I had a big leak in my coolant, it turned out to be the water pump (pipe?) When they quoted me the price, David actually called back to tell me it was actually $4 more then what was quoted! 6.7 Powerstroke Mods

After always going to the Ford dealership with 2011 F250 diesel for repairs and almost always being disappointed with the work and time it takes for the repair I decided to try a new place. Kams was able to quickly diagnose the issue and make the repair vs. just throwing parts at it. Now my AC is ice cold and they only had my truck over the weekend. I definitely recommend and when another repair is needed I can't tackle I'll be coming back.

I was referred to Kam's by AAA. I am new to the area so I didn't know of any mechanics. My car needed 4 coil packs and 4 spark plugs. Did you just read that? I knew what I needed. I dropped it off overnight and left the keys. A guy named David called and suggested I get the diagnostic which was $100+. I told him I only wanted to get the four coil packs and four spark plugs. He said he would call me back with an estimate. He called back and said it would be $815.00. 4 Coil packs @ $110.62 EACH and 4 Spark plugs @ $19.52 EACH. (Total parts: $520.56) I felt that was extremely expensive. I went to Amazon and ordered 4 coil packs and 4 spark plugs for $70.92. I then went on Youtube and looked up the procedure. I watched the video a few times to make sure I grasped the procedure. The parts came the next day and I installed them. I'm only giving Kam's a three because of their prices. David was nice, knowledgeable, and prompt. Basically he got the three. I will say this. I checked the price of the same procedure at two other places and Kam's was the cheapest. Pep Boys quoted $899.89 and Town Center Nissan quoted $1,000.00. I don't know if I was getting "the woman" price or what but they were all outrageous.

Ok so brought my 2006 Range Rover HSE in because battery light came on on the dash. I dropped it off and later that day Robert called said needed Alternator and gave the price. Price was actually good and very reasonable. So I had to bring back and dropped off for repair on Monday morning called later said connector was also bad was glued together and I believe him cause suv came from used car lot so they had to order that so took another day. So got car back on day 3. Noticed on dash check coolant level which wasn’t there before. Looked like coolant had been added and cap was loose. I was looking and noticed the sensor at bottom of reservoir was not plugged in. I plugged in and everything is good now. I don’t blame them for this cause it’s a busy shop and just human error. Overall I will be using again. Thanks guys.

Price seemed high for work preformed then they stated the computer was bad if I would have accepted the additional work my bill would have doubled I know what the cost would be to replace the computer and the labor at best 30 minutes

I would recommend Kam’s to everyone. I originally went to a dealership to get regular maintenance done and they told me that my breaks desperately needed to be done. So I went to Kam’s to get them done. I left my Ford F-150 and Anna said she’d have them done. Not an hour later, I get a call from Anna and she told me that my breaks still had at least 10,000 miles left on them before they even needed to be changed. I was shocked. But still so glad and grateful for the honesty she gave. It’s my vehicle and the money has to be spent to keep it maintained. But when it’s not needed the lack of dishonesty from dealerships nowadays is astounding. So from now on I will be getting all of my repairs done at Kam’s. I did not have the time to work on my vehicle so I took it to KAMS. The repair, I would give 5 stars. I had a trim seal that separates the grill and the hood that was normal when I dropped it off. When I picked it up it was hanging on. The techs demeanor, I took, as oh well. I would give that a 1 star. When I got home I noticed the grill lights were no longer working. I figured that a result of the tech and assumed the same demeanor would be the end result. So, my wife and I decided to give KAMS a 1 star rating. A day or two after the rating I received a phone call. To ask about the rating, after I told the person about the experience she said she would review the video. She called back after reviewing the video and it did not show the techs ever taking off the grill. I am owning my mistake in assuming it was a result of the tech. I am sorry to KAMS for the 1 star review. However I still think the customer/tech could use some work. The work was 5 star. I would consider using them again.

KAM is awesome and a blessing to me. Another company put an oversize plug in my oil pan and it caused my oil leak in my truck. David is a very caring person and explain what alternatives could be done so it wouldn't cost so much. I love my truck and wanted to take care of the problem before it caused a major problem. Well I have taken my vehicle here several times because it was suggested. The first time was fine because it was a basic problem. The last time I took my vehicle there was when my experience went wrong. My vehicle had a more difficult problem which is when they have problems it seems. It started with me checking on my vehicle at the end of the day and the woman that answered claimed that the man I needed was out on a drive for 15 mins, but when I emphasized I needed to talk to someone, he just happened to just be right there. Then claimed they didn’t hear the problem, because they hadn’t driven it and it was the end of the day. Then came back and told me I also needed something else done. I told them there’s no way I’m doing it for that price. Glad I chose to listen to my gut because I called 3 other highly recommended shops and they were charging $100-115 less then KAMS. Then I got to wondering what else they have charged me hundreds more for…. At least now I know I will save at a minimum a $100 going somewhere else.

My experience with KAMS started on a high note and got even better through to the end. The lady who answered the phone, Anna, and set up the appointment, was friendly, efficient and very professional. She let me know there would be a diagnostic charge upfront and set the appointment. It seems personally it has been a tough 5 years for me and when something tragic happens to me, it happens to my truck as well! It’s not easy to find an auto shop to service an almost classic car (2005 Chrysler Crossfire) that doesn’t stall and shirk and make excuses. I found them in a search for local Mercedes shops and was amazed at their service - in house towing, knowledgeable of the Mercedes engine, etc. The service is impeccable. My only issue with my experience is being charged for diagnostics with no deduction from the invoice. I know they’re not a dealership, but the $130 from an almost $$900 bill that included towing from them would have been nice. All that being said, I would definitely recommend them for Mercedes service. Parts for older automobiles usually takes FOREVER, but they received the parts for my crossfire in 24 hours.

I had an issue with my van stalling. They scanned it and found a sensor issue. They replaced it with a factory part and not an aftermarket part from the auto parts stores. The price was great. I was expecting it to be a lot more. They also replaced an oil sensor that was leaking that I had just installed by a local shop. That local shop didn't know what they were doing. Go to Kam's. Great price and and the knowledge to get it done right.

We needed to have our AC repaired that required a new compressor clutch. A new OEM clutch online from a Ford dealership is about $180. We were charged double that. I understand a parts mark up but a 100% mark up is extreme. Labor costs and refrigerant costs were in line with other repair facilities. If our son was not taking this vehicle across country to Colorado to return to college we would have waited on another repair facility that was not currently overwhelmed with business.

Brought it in for AC issue, passenger window issue, and turn signal issue. For 317 dollars, my turn signals work. The other issues weren't resolved. Was told AC will need to be done by a restoration company. Was told window worked, but it wasn't working from the first time I tried and still isn't. I just got off the phone with Ken about my BMW. There was a communication issue between the technician and the sales associate on the replacement of the thermostat. Ken had discussed this issue with both and acknowledged there was not a problem with the thermostat. The tech is new to his shop and he made an incorrect decision based on the length of time it took the car to heat up. This was an honest mistake and lesson learned not to communicate a problem without complete diagnosis (in this case an error code) of the problem. Happy customer once again. Thanks Ken for the time and discussion. I have been a loyal customer at KAMS for many years and believe they were a top repair shop. There have been recent events with my BMW and my son's Nissan that has changed my opinion. I both cases there were multiple trips to the shop to repair the cars. In both cases I had expressed a lack of confidence the problems were resolved. The most recent was my BMW with a cooling system problem. It was fully rebuilt by KAMS in Dec 2015. In June 2017 there were multiple failures of the cooling system. The water pump was replaced again with several hoses. That was nearly $2000 spent on the system in less than 2 years. I took the car back for unrelated services and was told my thermostat was bad and needed to be replaced at a cost of $600+. I expressed significant dissatisfaction of that news and asked the Sale Associate to make Ken aware of my dissatisfaction. Ken had a great shop and could again. My cars won't go back for a while. BTW the thermostat is fine. I just got off the phone with Ken about my BMW. There was a communication issue between

I called a few weeks ago and asked David to price some work on my car. He explained that they were very busy, but promised to get the work priced. After two days, i called back and David told me again that he was covered up but it was still on his desk to do. I figured he was just blowing smoke. Now even though my repairs were not an emergency, i also needed an oil change and i am impatient by nature. I took the car to Ford and had them do my oil change and tire rotation, and price the other two items that i had asked David to price. I no sooner dropped the car at Ford and i had a voicemail from David with my pricing... I know, right? I told you i am impatient. After holding my car hostage for 5 business days and not returning my calls, Ford finally called me with an astronomical number to do the two services i had them price. I called David and told him as soon as i had the car back from Ford i'd get it to him to do the work. Dropped it off with him at closing time on Thursday. Here's the best part, while it was at Ford, they told me that i also needed three other major services done as well, so i had David look at the car when i got it there to verify and price those issues in addition to the work i was releasing him to do. Fast forward to Saturday morning... David just called me. My car is done. Only the work i had originally approved to be completed was done, because that was all that NEEDED to be done. Ford was full of bologna... scamming me on repairs that while may indeed be needed one day, aren't needed today. KAM'S could have taken a large chunk of money from me, and i would have been none the wiser. They are extremely honest on all fronts, and i would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you David and KAM's!!

I was greeted by a very pleasant lady in the front office who quickly got someone to assess what I needed for my 2007 Jeep Wrangler. I had an eye appointment originally scheduled as well, and KAMs even provided me a Durango to drive up the street to go to my appointment while they did my repair. This was an overall WOW experience. Ahhh...the adventures of being a parent and letting your child grow up.... My daughter (18) had a blowout while travelling on I-75 southbound yesterday heading to her destination about 2 hours south of Atlanta. Seeing how this was her first cross-country trip solo, the blow-out rattled her a bit and I got the call (back in Detroit, Michigan) looking for some assistance (2:30 PM). I walked her through the steps to change her tire but she wasn't able to get the 3 of the 5 lugs to break free. Next step was calling for roadside assistance to change it for her. Help arrived from Cartersville (3:30 PM), but the driver was already en-route to tow a wreck that was blocking traffic and he was unable to assist with a simple tire change to her spare for her since the lugs weren't coming off. He indicated that the vehicle would need to be towed to a shop with the equipment to get them off. He apologized that he couldn't stay to assist and we thanked him for his attempts. I made some additional calls to local auto towing and repair services closer to where she was stranded (KAMS Auto Service Center was the 1st one I called). Their wrecker was not operational, but Donna referred me to their backup service and suggested that I have them tow the vehicle to Discount Tire (just down the street from KAMS Auto Service Center). I called for a 2nd wrecker (4:30 PM). It arrived and performed the tow (5:00 PM). My daughter arrived at Discount Tire just before 6:00 PM and from there, Matt at the Discount Tire team finished the job of getting a new replacement tire back on the vehicle and my daughter safely back on the road. The team of people involved with this experience from the businesses in Acworth of Donna (KAMS Auto Repair), Mike (ACE Wrecking) and Matt (Discount Tire) were awesome! Being from the "north", it was a definite comfort to experience some "southern hospitality" from all the parties that were involved. Although this review is not being written with respect to actual repair work done on my vehicle by KAMS, it is being written to express my gratitude to Donna for her selfless assistance to help relieve the anxiety and stress for my 18 year old daughter to get her back on the road safely.....and outstanding customer service is always greatly appreciated!
