I look for two things in an oil change business: 1. Professional people who can inspect and recommend what my vehicle needs. 2. Drive through. This place is fantastic. On two visits with different vehicles several months in between, the technicians were efficient, thorough, and customer-oriented. They made suggestions but there was no pressure to purchase unneeded services. I didn’t have to make an appointment, and I never had to leave my car. If you go here on a Saturday, try to get there before late morning. After that, there could be a wait to get through the line, but even then it is totally worth it. The techs are directing cars through the line and you get a sense that they are giving each car its due, so it is not too stressful.

Got there close to 8 AM (opening time). The wait was minimal, around 20 minutes, and the service was quick, even though I got a last-minute recommended add-on: transmission fluid flushing. I know the transmission itself needs work so they weren't bull 💩ing. I have been going to this location for years with different vehicles and I've always had a positive experience. Glad they're still around.

Prior to moving from Chicago to Atlanta, my father did all of our car maintenance and repairs. Being far from home- we obviously needed a place to go. Until today (we have been there about 5 times for a few different things with 2 of our vehicles)- I didn't even know this was a chain! I say this because from the moment I arrived- I was treated with respect and my concerns were addressed. Previous autoshop experiences I've had at other places were frustrating and wasted time having technicians trying to upsell me on things that are not due for maintenance or spoken to like I don't understand. While I am not an auto expert, I have a general idea of a maintenance schedule but was appreciative of being asked if I needed explanation on any services recommended. I highly recommend this facility- every person I have spoken to has been great and helpful. And most importantly- the problems we were having with both of our vehicles were taken care and they are running well now!

We had a bad battery that died right after we had an oil change here and mistakenly thought this business had not changed the oil. The manager walked us through the process and took the time to show us the video of the oil change and each thing that was done on the car. They did miss topping off the wiper fluid and Clinton graciously gave us a refund for the oil change. He then explained the battery issue and possible alternator issue but gave us multiple options instead of hard selling us on needing both. This is an honest business.

I had an annoying tire situation that I brought to Tire Engineers. Zane came out right away, assessed my situation, and gave me such professional and helpful advice that this will from now on be my go to place for oil changes, tire assistance, etc. I wish every service technician could be Zane! I made an appointment but it doesn’t seem to matter if you do. You may have to wait in line to get the oil change so just set your expectations. However they were as fast as you could expect AND they are honest and fair. I had a series of dash lights come on and they found the problem and were very honest about what was going on and what I did and didn’t need to do. No upsell, and they even encouraged me to see if I could find used parts cheaper. My biggest fear in going to get repairs is being lied to and sold something I don’t need at a bad price. These guys are honest and good at what they do. Not much more you can ask for.

I cannot say enough about this place! I had a long trip ahead of me in a couple days. They got me in for an oil change right away. They then informed me I really needed new tires and I should think about that after I reached my destination. I went ahead and got the tires from them. Last night, I was coincidentally driving past the location at the corner of Moreland Ave/Memorial Drive when my rear passenger tire went flat. I pulled in to ask if I could get some air thinking that would help until I got home. Although it was after closing time, the manager, Deon, was still on- site and didn't hesitate to help me. He tried to inflate the tire but realized I had picked up a piece of metal and it was too far gone to just inflate. Without even being asked, he removed the tire and patched the hole to allow me to get home. He went out of his way to help on a Friday night after closing time. I'm definitely a customer now. The technicians here will always do right by you. They will honestly tell you what your vehicle does and does not need and will not try and upsell or rip you off. I give a lot of credit to the manager(s) for that. You can tell they care about their customers and that if reflected in the entire staff. If you need oil or tires I highly recommend them!

This place is popular so go at odd times or be prepared to wait. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Once you get into the bay the oil change is really 10.minuts. the price is reasonable. The only downside is accessibility of the property. It is at a very busy intersection (Moreland Ave and Memorial Dr.) And it can be hard to get in and out.

I could not be more pleased with the service provided to me at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers off of Moreland. Clinton and Zane were both incredibly helpful and accommodating after my back tire went flat on I-20 Saturday morning. Zane clearly explained the issue and my options to resolve even offering a competitor for an inexpensive "quick-fix" that they'd be unwilling to perform because of the unreliability of the patch location. I greatly appreciate transparency and fair pricing and could not recommend this shop enough if you're having car trouble. Although I came here for a tire fix, I'll be back for all of my maintenance because of Clinton and Zane's professional service.

***update** the manager fixed the issue by giving me another oil change free of charge and also a free oil change in the future. Furthermore will address the employee responsible. __________________________ Story: Before going in I pondered changing my own oil. I brought a 98 4runner and they last forever with proper oil changes and maintenance. This one has almost 300,000 miles. Since I had to work a lot in the morning I decided to just stop in but not before I looked at the setup on the truck and checked my oil filter to see how old it was. Service was fast and they got me in between 15 and 24min or so. No one was really rude or anything however after the oil change later that day I looked under the hood and the same oil filter I saw that morning was there in the exact same position unchanged. Unless they use the exact same brand and place it in the exact same position it's hard for that to be a new filter. In the past sometimes I've asked to see the old filter however I'm an adult now I assume no one is taking advantage of me sometimes. I spoke to a manager the same day and they told me to come back in. I'm here today 2 days later and I'm back in the pit. They are checking it out now... we'll see where this heads and I may change my stance.

Super convenient! If you're only getting an oil change you don't even have to get out of your car. I get a little nervous driving over the service area, but other than that it's great. They do have a waiting area of you need other arrives performed. However, I suggest walking to one of the restaurants in the area. The customer service is usually great. I've only run into one issue (on more than one occasion). They always misplace the engine cover snaps. So make sure you check those after your service.

For an oil change this place is great! I’m the daughter of a mechanic and have high standards for automotive service. Ty was informative, and kept me in the loop the entire service. They said my air filter was fine, and only changed necessary fluids, etc. Not sure about major repairs, but will most definitely return for routine oil changes. You don’t even have to get out of the car :)

They did everything in less than 30mins. Tay changed my oil and radiator fluid and he let me watch from a distance so I could learn, but yeah not thanks, let’s leave this to the experts 😅. Almost 60$ dollars for an oil change, that is very expensive but the guy was fairly nice and was helpful too. I don’t know if I would go back as there is nowhere to park and have to wait in line and there isn’t much space for more than 2-3 cars in line so it wouldn’t be my go to bc I’d be worried their would be any space for me to wait.

Came around noon, Tuesday with one of our cars for a basic service. The tech guiding me in was very rude, yelling at me - and obviously impatient. Upon getting in, there's no price discussion or anything. Ha tells me to pop the hood open, and then they get started. Not really a big deal, I mean with the name express, I get it. The only issue is, I wanted regular oil. I didn't get that. Then they are unable to reset my oil light.. After a bit however, the tech who worked the lower side, Moe, came up and quickly resolved this issue, even taking the time to show ME how to reset the light myself if needed. He also explained the benefits and higher life of a synthetic mixture vs regular. He apologised for the misunderstanding and asked if I would like a free do over, to which I declined. I appreciated the effort and sympathy. After that was done, he had my car in and out for a VET in less than 10minutes. If I do return, I hope to see and get this guy.

They're usually pretty quick, don't try to pressure you into buying extra service, and it's close to places/ restaurants so you can get your errands done if there's a wait. Prices are kind of high and they don't vacuum out the car. Other than that, I'm happy with it. Four stars

I called ahead to replace two critically damaged tires that were uncommonly sized and spoke to Sam, who told me, "give me 45 minutes". He sent somebody to go find the tires I needed while I limped my van into his shop, so I waited only minutes once I arrived. My fully loaded Knapheide T-350 HD dual-rear-wheel service van was both too tall and too heavy to lift inside his shop, so in the freezing drizzle, Cliff jacked my fully loaded van by hand and replaced the two outside rear tires. Now THAT'S 'going the extra mile' for a customer. Then came the bill... And it was LESS than I expected to pay! Thanks guys. I'll be back.

My friend recommended this place so took the car in, they explained everything they would do, checked the system and told me what the problem was. Good work at a fair price. I went in with a battery charging issue, I did not have the time to troubleshoot myself. I had cleaned connectors, charged the battery but it was failing to keep a charge. They confirmed it was a bad cell in the battery and changed it out. Took little time and I was back on the road, more importantly, my wife would have a degree of assurance that it was done correctly. Not only did he get the job done quickly and efficiently but he identified a few small concerns like faulty caps, corroded battery clamps and excess transmission fluid but without the aggressive upsell that you get so many other places. Will come back again.

I trust them. EDIT Feb. 2017: Since my favorite Mechanic left, the place is not the same. He said they don't pay enough for the work they do. They worked quickly and friendly, checked out your lights and fluids... even if I didn't get my favorite Mechanic, the place was so efficient and on top of things, and... it's just not now. I use High Mileage oil now and they didn't notice and switched me back to some other oil, lowering my MPG. I don't know what else changed; he wasn't a manager or anything.

I called in thinking I needed my shocks replaced. The gentleman that answered the phone asked me about my symptoms. Once I explained he not only gave me an alternate theory, he pointed me to a competitor that could address my problem. (OBTW Express auto does replace shocks). This is unheard of in auto repair. As a lady who doesn't have a brother or a husband I truly appreciate this type of service. This is not my first time doing business with Express Oil. But I have never called them with anything this serious before. I will continue to take my car to them.
