I have been bringing my car to rices towing for a little over a half a year now to get my car worked on and hands down this is this best shop!! I highly recommend bringing your car here for any services you need done. They are great at what they do. Everytime I have brought my car it has basically been done the next day or a few days later. They are definitely quick with getting your car fixed!! Definitely give them a call if you need anything done on your car ❤️

Tim at Rice's towing was awesome! I was on the side of 240 with a seized caliper and called him up for a tow after the first place I tried did not pick up. He said he could be there in 45 minutes and then he showed up in 30 - when does that ever happen? He was also super nice. He didn't treat me any differently despite having out of state tags and the rate he charged was extremely reasonable. I've paid 2.5x that amount before for much slower and less friendly service. He gave me a ride to the shop and was an easy going conversationalist. I learned on the way that Rice's is a family business that's been around since 1944, which I think is both cool and impressive. I've never had a positive experience getting a tow before and so I was pretty shocked at how smoothly everything went and what a decent mood I was in after leaving the shop. 10/10 would recommend their towing service to anyone in AVL. I'm actually thankful that the first company didn't pick up the phone!

I want to thank all the guys at Rice's Towing. They did an amazing job fixing the ball joints in our 2008 Mustang GT. For the first time in 6 months I was able to ride without my husband being aggravated with a loud popping noise. I am happy. My husband is happy. I wouldn't take our car anywhere else. I was visiting Asheville from Indiana and had my Rav4 engine break down in the middle of HW40 and Hendersonville intersection. An officer called Tim who came, towed my car - gave me the news I needed a new engine and had my engine replaced and ready in two working days. After calling a bunch of places in town, Tim from Rice's was the first to pick up. I locked myself out of my car and immediately thought the worst (get it towed to the dealership, cut and program a new key fob...) which would have cost me an arm and a leg. In less than 30 min Tim was able to work his magic and get into my car, saving me hundreds of $$$. Highly recommend this service, great and professional.

We were in Ashville for the weekend when my Jeep wouldn't go into gear, after calling numerous shops and towing services, it was Sunday and there were A LOT of places closed,. I made one final, frustrated call to Rice's, Tim was amazing from the moment he answered the phone. He was able to tow my Jeep in under 30 minutes to their shop and assured me that they would check things out the next morning. Rice's towing was fantastic. I needed to have my vehicle towed to the shop for repair work. I called in the morning, he answered promptly, provided a simple estimate and let me know his best case scenario timeline as far as when he could pick it up (which was only about an hour after I called). He called me back when he was on his way and gave me an updated time about when he'd be arriving, and showed up right on time. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Its always good to work with someone who clearly knows what he's doing. The cost was exactly what he estimated, which was about 25% less than what I was expecting to pay. Then he was able to run my card from his truck, and we were on our way. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Could not be happier with my experience with Rice's Towing and Recovery. Super nice on the phone and worked with me to get the keys for my vehicle which was stranded down Hendersonville Rd. This is my second time getting a tow for Rice's and once again I am impressed by the speed and professionalism. My car broke down in the middle of the road so I called Rice's and got Tim, he said he could get to my location as about 30 minutes which was perfectly reasonable ,but once I told him I was stuck in the road he got there in 10 minutes. Probably the fastest tow I've ever gotten. Tim was very friendly and professional. I would recommend Rice's Towing & Recovery Inc over any towing company in Asheville. I busted a brake line and needed a tow. I called Rice's and Tim was there in less than 15 minutes. He was extremely polite and knew exactly where he was going. I had it towed to a shop where I could fix it myself, but had I needed a mechanic I would have sent it Rice's shop and allowed them to repair it. I work in the automotive industry and know the importance of a good tow truck driver, and will definitely be calling Rice's again. The rates are congruent with the industries typical price, which is somehow rare these days.

Tim was very nice as well as very professional. When I first called.him, he was in the middle of serving another customer. He said that he would call me back as soon as he finished. This is exactly what he did. He also called me after he delivered my van to the dealership. It was so refreshing to have someone keep their word and promptly return a customer’s phone call. I just want to say the time it took for the tow truck was outstanding! It took only 15-20 minutes for him to show up since I made my initial call! On a Sunday! The tow was fast easy and I got to my mechanic in no time. Definitely would recommend as the first pick for any tow you might need!

When my car broke down on I-40 I called Rice's towing and recovery because they were the only 24 hour service that I was able to find on google and it was after 5pm. Tim wasted no time getting to my location and was kind and courteous for the duration of the trip back to the shop. Once I arrived at the shop the gentleman working on a car, stopped what he was doing and quickly diagnosed my problem. The staff made the best of a stressful situation and were kind enough to let me keep the car on the lot without charge until I figured out what I was going to do with it. Everyone was very friendly and understanding. The towing rate is also very reasonable.

Had an excellent expirience, I popped my tire very late was just getting dark had my 2 year old nice with me. They said it would be a 4 hour wait but once they heard I was alone and was gonna be walking they were there in 15 minutes. Couldn't have been any more nice or professional then they were. I placed the call to get my vehicle towed at around 1030 am on a very rainy, busy day and the driver called me back almost immediately. He was very friendly and professional. He was honest and told me he would do his best to get my car from the dealership it was located at as soon as he could but it may be tomorrow due to the weather and being covered up with other jobs. He called me back at 2 pm and my vehicle was at its location. I feel like he worked hard to take care of my issue despite the weather and busy circumstances. The price was WAY lower than other people I've used so I was very impressed!!!

I had a flat tire in a very busy, tight intersection on 240 on Sat evening. I called 8 towing services and none of them would come help me...then I called Rice’s Towing. Tim (I’m pretty sure was his name) was so kind on the phone and said he could come right away and he was there in 10 minutes. Time slows to the speed of frozen molasses when you are sitting in a dead vehicle on the side of the road, but I was happily surprised and amazed by how fast they arrived! Tim was my profession hero! I had a tire blow out right where 25 merged with I-40. Very dangerous area to have my car stuck in, let alone get out and put on the spare. Near the on ramp was all up hill so there really wasn’t anywhere to get out of the car and sit safely while waiting on the tow truck. When I called Tim said it would be at least an hour. I had my son who has autism with me and I was very worried about him getting bored and trying to get out of the car as well as being in a dangerous spot. Tim showed up 20 minutes later (!) and got us on the way to A & B Tires where I received excellent service. I was very pleased he came so quickly! He was professional and polite. Great experience overall and cheaper than I expected it to be.

Called Rice's early on Sat. Was greeted nicely and told they could tow my car within the hour. Ended up towing to their repair shop, where the owner spent his Saturday replacing the fuel pump in my car. They deducted the towing cost from the repair price which was awesome. Got my car back 6 hours after calling them, fully functional again. I felt the cost was very reasonable especially considering how fast he did it and it being the weekend. Looking at the average price for a fuel pump replacement, this was definitely lower. Overall my experience with them was excellent. I will most certainly use them again.

This was by far the best towing experience I've ever had. I was stuck in my friends driveway, bottomed out. I just needed a winch to help me out of my predicament, I called a couple of other towing companies and no one would/could help me out, until I called Rice's. They were there within 10 minutes, got me out in another 3 minutes and I was on my way within 15 minutes of my initial phone call with them. The tow driver was personable and jovial (sorry I didn't catch your name!). I was dealing with a custody case and a falsified restraining order against me. My ex had my vehicle and my lawyers instructed me to pick it up. I explained to him that we would have to meet the police there and that she was NOT aware we would be arriving. I met the police there and when I looked around for my tow truck driver, I heard a truck start and he emerged from the bushes with his tow truck and had the flat bed positioned and dropped the ramp faster than you can say repossession. He's fast, professional, fair rates and after chatting with him after the "repo" , he's a very nice man. He is not afraid of to help out in difficult situations and I am very thankful for him and his services.

VERY IMPRESSED! My timing belt broke on I-40, and Rice’s was the only place that could tow me. I was going to tow it somewhere else, but Tim told me Rice’s could see me today, AND I’d save $15 on the tow! I live about 45 minutes away from Asheville but was in the area visiting a family member in the hospital. My car started acting up, so I pulled over to restart it. That's when it would not crank back when I called Rice's towing the guy told me it would be an hour to get towed. He was there in less than an hour. I had planned on going to Advanced Auto Parts to get a new battery because I had an alternator put in the day before and I thought the old one might have killed the battery. The guy that towed me recommended that I get towed to their shop that was right near Advanced Auto so that they could help me out. I agreed, and I'm glad that I did, turned out that the alternator wasn't installed entirely correctly and had shorted out! Luckily I have a lifetime warranty on the alternator that I purchased, so Autozone delivered a replacement and a very nice gentleman at Rice's installed it for me. I truly appreciated all these guys work to help me get on the road again and back home! It was a very rough day, and they made it so much better.
