No dealership is perfect, but if Continental Subaru makes a mistake they will make good on it. I asked for the best deal on my truck and I got it. For years the wonderful people at Continental have taken care of all my automotive needs! From low the pressure sales staff to the knowledgeable parts and service departments they truly are a one stop shop! This last trip in put me in my 7th Subaru and each one has been worth it 110%! The interior quality has finally caught up with the safety and drivability Subaru is known for and there couldn't be a better time to try one yourself!

My husband and myself walked into Subaru last week, I leased a new 2017 Subaru last year in June and was very happy with it until we got into a minor collision with the curb in October due to being new drivers in Alaska coming from sunny southern California. We took it to Able body shop for the repairs and they just ended up ruining our car. We knew there had been something wrong with the car since October. It had been making a noise when we went over bumps and nobody could find the problem. I was so unhappy until I went into Subaru and Dedrick was there to come to our rescue. He told us he saw us there at Subaru multiple times trying to fix our car and wanted to help out. He helped us with the entire process to trade in our car and drive home a brand new 2018 Subaru that day. He made sure we were taken care of in every department and ensured we were happy with our new car. I couldn't thank him enough and I give him a 5 Star review! He made our experience so much better and I am stoked we have all the new features of the 2018 Subaru like Apple Car Play. My husband and I will be moving out of Alaska in July and I feel so much better knowing we will be in a brand new car and that we will make it safe to our destination with no worry. Great place to buy a car. Bought a new Subaru, while working at another dealership. I was so impressed by the sales and service team. Ryan Moore, Michelle and Brye in service are awesome! Continental Subaru has a new cafe for its customers, and has remodeled it's service reception area for customer convenience. With a wide selection of new and used cars, theres plenty to choose from. You really can't go wrong at Continental Subaru, in sales or in service. Mike Salem the sales manager, made my experience at Continental personable. The Subaru product with its Symmetrical all-wheel drive, is second to none. I highly recommend this brand and dealership👍

I had a couple recalls for my 2010 Subaru Impreza and needed an oil change. Not only is it the most cost effective oil change in AK, done by mechanics that only work with Subaru’s, but it was very easy to schedule an appointment. Upon arrival for my appointment I realized I had forgotten my wallet at home! But Eric was willing to work with me so I didn’t have to cancel my oil change. The facility is clean, well organized and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and after I was there waiting for all that work to be done Eric even offered to get me a sandwich! I was so grateful and it was such a good experience. Thank you Eric and the continental Subaru team!!

Mark in sales was wonderful. He helped me find cars in my price range, without any pressure to go higher than I felt comfortable paying. He stayed with me for several hours, braved barely above 0 temperatures twice to find the cars I wanted to look at, and did it all with a helpful, non complaining attitude. Michelle was also very helpful figuring out the financing. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the market for a car!

Not only did they make sure me and my family got what we needed, they have a no pressure rule that makes everything smooth and work of your needs and time. I recieved an airbag recall on my subaru,
Scheduled the appt to come up, planned for a rental, but age requirement wasn't mentioned until time of appt. Cab tokens and shuttles aren't available (covids fault).
So I was essentially stuck with some pretty lame choices; uber around out of pocket(not super wealthy atm😅), take my car back without getting it fixed (dangerous), or wait in the lobby for hours (no where near next in line to be serviced)
Frustrated, I explained my situation to there employees as civilly as I could, they understood my struggle and just like that, good communication took the win and had me outta there In less than an hour an a half. Highly recommended, friendly staff and a nice little coffee shop to ease the wait time.

Took my car in for an oil changers the express lane, used one of my 4 complimentary oil changes. Got the windshield wipers replaced and they gave me a good deal on them since I have a newer car. Took them about 25 minutes to do the service and then some extra time for the windshield wipers! Super impressed with the nice staff and quick service!

2022 - Oil change drive in on Thursday around 2pm. Good customer service. It was quick compared to other days. They also have a complimentary car wash if you ask for it. Windshield and coolant fluids were topped off as well. In the past they used not to do that even if I asked them at the checking to make sure they top off.

Really quick service. They offer a 15% historic discount for vehicles over 10 years. Considering replacing my timing belt and head gaskets here. Got a cheaper deal on a wiper assembly than AA The Shop- who are also great.

I care quite a bit about reviews and actually take them into account a lot when making purchase decisions anywhere so I decided to write a detailed review. Due to travel and a hectic work schedule I wasn't able to write this as soon as I liked but it did give me the chance to experience their service department along with sales.
Sales- Adam was my salesperson and was ultimately a wonderful person to purchase from. After a bad experience at a different used car dealer, I decided to go to the real deal and get a Subaru from an actual Subaru dealer, so happy I made that decision because it was the smoothest car buying experience I've ever had entirely due to Adam and his team in the sales department. I was able to interact with Adam a few times after my purchase with one minor question regarding a windshield and he was not only extremely helpful but very willing to handle everything himself to ensure that what was communicated ended up being the outcome for the sale. I appreciate this so much and would definitely go to him in the future for a vehicle purchase. Very friendly, efficient, and extremely in tune with helping me find exactly what I wanted. I've never been more pleased with the outcome of a vehicle purchase. Highly recommend!
Service-
For service I got to have an experience with some work on my windshield, it was taken care of due to the due diligence of Adam but took a bit of coordinating to get scheduled. Once I actually took it in everything seemed good except for a snag with the placement and some additional work that had to be done due to issues with the repair. Ultimately, while it was a somewhat frustrating experience (mainly fault of my own sales job and the schedule demands it imposes at times) the service department did their best in a lot of ways to handle any complaints I had with a solution. They ended up doing good work and getting things taken care of along with giving me options for pickup times that would fit within my constrained schedule since the work took longer than anticipated due to appointment booking for the windshield. As some reviews mentioned previously I didn't find that they were as friendly as the sales team but ultimately that's why they work in service, because their focus was on fixing the issue and addressing any problems that may arise. Which they definitely did to my knowledge. A bit more pep may be appreciated with any future interactions but I surely can't fault them for anything regarding the issue. They took care of it and I greatly appreciated that, I'd say they even went above in some ways to accommodate more than required since I was initially a very stressed customer when I learned of the delays (work trip jet lag doesn't make the friendliest customer at times). Ultimately they put up with a very stressed customer and came up with a solution to every concern I brought up which makes for a really good overall experience with Continental. It showed me that in both departments they knew how to handle problems effectively and ultimately that they were willing to do everything they could to make for a positive customer experience. No business is perfect but Continental Subaru definitely does their best!

Needed to have my car brought in for an airbag recall. I had to schedule it about 3 months in advance to have a loaner vehicle. They said it should take between 1.5-3 hours, so I said I would go run some errands until they called. Appointment was at 10:15, but we live in Wasilla so we headed in early and got there at 9:30. They had a rental ready so I loaded the kids up and went to the bookstore and a couple other places. By then it was about 1, so I called to touch base and was told someone would find my service advisor and find out and call me back. So we went and got some lunch. About 2 I still hadn't heard back, so I called again and was told the same thing. About 3, I filled the tank back up and stopped at one more place along the way. It was 3:30 when we went back to the dealership to see what was going on. When I pulled up I could see my car in the corner of the shop, and my service advisor said he had been looking for it to find out its status. He asked if I wanted it washed on the outside, I said sure. Took another 45 minutes for it get rinsed off and my keys brought back. To boot, I was told the serial number on my airbag didn't even match the recall. They said they did an inspection and I am a little surprised they found no problems with my little hooptie, but maybe I will just take that as a compliment !!

I've been here a few times and I wouldn't even be able to think of something to complain about. I have worked with both Ryan and Ian (service technicians) and they have always gone above and beyond! I am highly impressed with the customer service I receive here, and I never leave feeling like I was ripped off in anyway. My vehicle has always come back in great condition when serviced & I feel confident that my money has always been well spent.

The customer service was stellar from the great deal on the car to the challenging our loan to see if they could offer better rates. My husband and I were very pleased with the outcome. We loved the clean look the car had after detail- wouldn't have guessed it was a used car. Adam was the gentleman to assist us and was awesome along with the other employees.

A great buying experience. Very knowledgeable staff. During a small wait for my credit check I was offered refreshments and the salesman kept me company as we talked about where I might find a good local fishing hole. The manager Steve worked with me until we found a price we both agreed upon and they were even able to get me a special lower interest rate. There is a wonderful little sandwich shop called The House of Bread I was able to grab lunch at, definitely check it out if you get hungry. If you have family or friends looking for a vehicle you can refer them and the dealership will pay the months car payment.

I took my car for its first service (in my ownership) at continental Subaru, everything checked out great. I brought it back 6mo later and they identified some issues that were missed in the first service. I was frustrated that I wasn’t aware of the issues after the first service as I like to take the best care of my car. However, mistakes happen, we all make them. Continental Subaru took the reigns to address the problem with my car and went ABOVE and BEYOND to not only fix the problem, but make sure that I was taken care of and there were no disruptions to my life while they had my car. They were always professional, but this experience left me feeling like that is how I should be treated as a customer everywhere. They were fantastic. I am very impressed and feel like they took the best care of me.

My wife and I have been consulting with Continental since the beginning of December in regards to looking for a replacement vehicle. We were apprehensive at first expecting the typical used car salesman experience. Fortunately, we were pleasantly surprised that never happened once. Since the start we were working with Adam Poole who was of outstanding character and tenaciously professional.
Adam went out of his way we feel, to assist us in finding the right vehicle for us. There were no gimmicks, no signing anything until actually necessary, no failed promises. Working with this individual was a wonderful experience. The customer service we received from the rest of the staff during our visits was also above reproach. Especially when compared to our typical customer service experiences in Anchorage. We eventually settled for a Crosstrek that was fair on price, and no one pushed for all the add-ons that most dealerships typically try forcing at signing.
We would highly recommend this dealership to anyone and to ask for Adam. We look forward to any future dealings with the dealership regarding anything from maintenance to buying accessories. From the Davis Family to Continental Subaru, and especially to Adam, thank you!

Took my new car for It's 6 month Oil change. They did a good job but failed to tell me it was done so I was there longer than needed. Their service counter guy was nice enough but was not very complementary towards sales staff and Subaru. I was told by my sales person and Subaru's Technical specialist to bring my car in at 6 months or 6000 miles for its first oil change. He was very condescending stating that he didn't agree with that and the Service department didn't support what was being told to customers. They felt that customers should be coming in at 3 months or 3000 miles. What interesting is that Subaru is also emailing customers like myself that the first oil change should be at 6 months or 6000 miles. Seems to me that hey probably need to get on the same page so they can provide customers with a unified customer service experience.

They were incredibly helpful and friendly. They kept me updated and listened to my financial concerns. We place orders many times a month, John is very knowledgeable about all the parts they carry, he is always able to answer any questions or concerns I have. Most recently I took my 2003 Subaru Outback in to have some significant engine issues diagnosed. Turns out that my engine had some significant problems and would require a brand new short block. I can't figure out all the one star reviews because we had a great experience. Our sales rep, Riley, wasn't pushy and was very personable. He knew the vehicles inside and out and was a great help, even after purchase, especially with getting Bluetooth set up. We knew we were looking into getting a Forester before going in due to safety ratings and online reviews, and the financing bit (my least favorite) was the best experience we've had getting a car. I saw a used “wholesale” car on the website that checked all the boxes for a good commuter in Fairbanks and it was an easy going process working Chris. The car included an in house pre buy inspection(at my request). They a detailed the car and full tank of gas (it was almost E during the day of test drive) before it left the lot! They also worked a last second Z tag and called the DMV directly. The car included the summer wheels when a shop could have easily put those in the back. Honest dealership and ready to get you on the road with a new ride!

I am so confused at all of these bad reviews. My family has purchased a total of 8 Subaru's from Continental over the years and 3 were purchased from the same sales person! We've been more than thrilled with our sales and service experiences. The folks at Continental always seem to have the knowledge it takes to make a very comfortable car buying experience. My parents live outside of Anchorage with their Subaru and they are always accommodating and timely for them when they travel to town for service appointments. I've recently moved out of Alaska with my Subaru and while I have good service here in Memphis, I do miss Continental Subaru :)

Purchased my first new car here. Sales man was very helpful and nice getting me the vehicle I wanted and helped get me financing so I could drive it home that day. Brought it back to get autostart installed 13 days later (worked for my schedule, they were ready to put it in a few days after purchase but I wasn’t available) and I expected it was going to take a while so I was going to hangout at the dealership. I was pleasantly surprised to see they have a caffe/ bakery inside the dealership that serves everything from coffee to soups and bread. While I was waiting I had a guy stop what he was doing and came over to me to ask my name so he could go get me an update on my car. Very courteous and helpful staff.

I spoke with Bruce and he's a very nice guy, but he was a little pushy. When I arrived at the lot, he was right at my car door and didn't really give me a buffer zone. He didn't give me a chance to exit and lock my car before greeting me. He needs to work on those interpersonal people skills, but otherwise he's a very nice guy and in the future if he fixed those issues I wouldn't have any problem with buying from him.

My 2000 Subaru Impreza RS is a good quality car that gets about 35 miles to the gallon on highway and around 27 miles to the gallon in the city... Service staff do good work and make sure to present objective material for deciding which maintenance is most important for the car. Please be sure to thank them for their good efforts. While Greg is actually a Sales Representative and not a Service Representative, he gives great advice for maintaining the car in a way that tends to keep total cost of ownership to a minimum. If he is still working there by the time the car is ready for retirement, I will definitely visit him and see what he has to offer. While this may be several more years, I am sure that customers who come to Continental Subaru to buy a new vehicle through Greg is probably getting a pretty good deal.

I drove up to Anchorage from kenai today with hopes to buy a vehicle. I had a pre approved rate that was lower than majority of the vehicles on the lot. I spent several hours at continental subaru, test drove two vehicles and had my heart set on one. After a long wait and Hope's held high I will FOREVER be grateful for the team there for doing everything in their power to get me approved for the vehicle I wanted. Sales rep dedrick pouncy was determined to help me out by showing persistence and determination to provide the best customer service I have probably ever received! Went for the express service oil change & inspection after taking my 2014 outback the 4,000 miles from the lower 48 to Anchorage. Service was fast and curtious. Prices are what you would expect for a dealership.
You do get what I call the filter scam. My cabin air filter was unreasonably dirty but i cant stomach $80 for a change there when it's a $20 part at AutoZone half a block north($40 for the high end one)...

I have bought 2 cars from this dealership and they have never disappointed me. Mike Nabulsi sold me my 2017 WRX and it was a breeze. He was so patient and knowledgeable about the cars and really is a great salesman. After calling him a year and a half later looking at buying a 2018 Crosstrek he was happy to help. Order your parts online and select pickup from dealer. They're cheaper online, and I've had the counter charge me shipping. Yes, shipping. At the counter. I made my concerns known to the guy at the counter and he said "I don't make the prices, I just charge what the computer tells me." So I ordered on the continental parts page and selected pickup at dealer and I wasn't charged shipping. Recently went to buy an oil filter. It was $6 on their site and they charged me $7.50 plus $1 for the crush washer.
Buy on the site and pickup. It's asinine that the prices are different.

I have been taking my car in for all service work for about 4 years now. The technicians are always very pleasant, the prices are reasonable and the service is fast. They’ve made a few mistakes here and are but they always make it right through comps or comparable items. I highly recommend them!

I bought my subaru preowned, but had service done here. They provide excellent service in a very reasonable amount of time. You can tell customer return is a high priority for them. Free shuttle service works great when you need to get home, but you are not promised a shuttle ride back when your car is ready. Overall a great place, friendly folks and they get done what you need done.
UPDATE: I thought I’d trade in my old subaru for a brand new one. I hold value in knowing the full history in my vehicle, plus I wanted something a little nicer. I got the unloved Impreza model, and I say unloved because they gave me dirt for my trade in. Obviously they don’t value their own brand. The new car purchase process was overall pleasant and brisk. My salesman was Ryan, and he will work hard to make a sale, even if that means withholding negative info and pushing the positive info. If my car holds up well during my lease, I plan to buy it and drive it into the ground. If I turn it in I will stay far away from the subaru brand in the future. Beware Subaru resale value. Its not as good as people make it out to be. Also keep in mind that all wheel drive is not necessary here. Subaru AWD is a good system, but the benefit is acceleration from a dead stop. AWD does not improve braking or handling contrary to popular belief. 4 tires do braking, 4 tires do turning, and either 2 or 4 tires do acceleration. Also, do your research, because I missed out on a 500 dollar military discount because I was in an unjustified hurry.

Dropped by for an oil change & tire rotation, expecting to wait a couple hours. Pulled in through the automatic service bay doors and was greeted by an associate before I could gather my things and get out of my car. I walked into their lobby and discovered a cafe in addition to the usual free coffee. Too bad it wasn't lunchtime yet; food looked good! I settled in at one of the tables with my laptop (free wifi) and I hadn't yet completed my first email before the same associate came in with the results of the free inspection which indicated I needed a new air filter $30 and a screw taken out of a tire that was slowly leaking (they plugged it, no charge). I gave the go-ahead for the filter change and then it was only a few more minutes. At checkout, the associate told me my coupon for the oil change had expired...and proceeded to give me an EVEN BETTER deal. Score! Thank you.

My husband and I have purchased 6 Subarus from Continental Subaru, and today just bought a used Jetta for our son. Not only has Continental been incredibly accommodating and trustworthy over the years, but this is the 3rd car we've purchased from Jay, and I pray that he never leaves Continental! Last December (2017) was our first time meeting Jay, and we walked out with a 2018 Crosstrek and 2018 Forester. After spending 6 hours at Continental discussing every option and feature with a man who's passion for the Subaru brand is unmistakable, we felt confident making our purchase and signing our souls (& wallets) away for another Subaru.
Today I called Jay directly and asked him if he had any affordable & dependable cars on the lot for our son, since his car had died and couldn't be resurrected. Jay told me he would see what he could find, asked what price range & features we wanted, and had options for me before I made it into Anchorage (from Wasilla). We found out later that he was supposed to be off at 5, but he stayed late without a word of complaint because he knew we were coming into town, and didn't leave until we were finished at 9.

I moved my family up to Alaska 2 years ago and needed a place to service our aging 2007 WRX STi. I was warned that AK runs on a different time frame from the lower 48 by many. Shortly after my STi was shipped up north I started to experience issues, she wasn’t accustomed the harsh AK conditions. Alaska has a lower octane then what Subaru recommends for their high performance cars and the STi never experienced anything under 30 degrees before. Turns out I needed a new short block, turbo, among other little things, not bad for 180,000 miles on a 300 HP car! I did a lot of research around town and the valley, looking at performances shops thinking the dealer will price gouge. I was wrong, very competitive and backed by Subaru warranty. Continental Subaru also have a vintage discount that saved me a little more.
David Susuico is an amazing Service Adviser. I travel weeks at a time for work and David bends over backwards to accommodate my wife and daughter when we need service on the cars. The dealership stands behind their work and also fixed a few issues that were overlooked.
So the bad reviews, I don't get it. It’s Alaska, parts need to be shipped, and service gets overwhelmed since it’s the only Subaru dealer unless you want to drive to Fairbanks. If you want a service adviser that knows you by name, communicates and is honest see David. He’s just as good as my old service adviser back in California ever was. It’s because of this level of service my family is on our 3rd Subaru. It's because of this we're planing on our 4th next year.

I recently bought a new Subaru Impreza from Continental Subaru in Anchorage. Overall the experience was good and the salesman, Tony, was very helpful. The car was on order, and he was good at keeping me updated on when it was going to arrive in state and answering my questions throughout the test drive and purchasing process. As is the norm with Subs in Alaska, the price wasn't fantastic, but after doing quite a bit of price comparison between buying in Anchorage versus buying in WA/ID and shipping the car up buying in Anchorage was only slight more expensive and much more convenient.
The only thing that irks me in hindsight is, after I had finalized the purchase of the car and we were doing the final walkaround, I discovered the car did not have a block heater installed. Now, I fully realize that I should have noticed this before but it seriously never crossed my mind that they would possibly be selling a Subaru in Alaska that did not already include a block heater. It was pretty annoying having to take the car in again and pay an additional $288 for something that should have been included to begin with.
I'm only in week two with my new car, but so far it's been a good 'first new car' buying experience. My only comment to anyone considering buying here is to be insistent in declining all the add-ons (I admit it, I got hosed into purchasing the undercoat which, upon further research, was not worth it) and to make sure that 'standard' winter components like a block heater are included. Otherwise, you'll end up paying for them later.

Purchased a 2013 Legacy for my wife in December. Enjoyed working with the salesman and my wife loves the car. Traded in a Ford Fusion Hybrid - got a reasonable deal. Had the service department put some add-ons on the vehicle which went well. Only complaint is they left a big white sticker right in the middle of the moonroof vent which I can't peel off and which looks quite ugly. My wife wants me to take the car in so they can remove it but so far haven't had the time.

That being said on Friday the 13th of Feb. I hit auto start and went out and heard this horrible noise the car died being a female i tried to start it and it wouldn't start, i popped the hood took off the plastic cover over motor and looked down and noticed my belt was all messed up, i contacted subaru and had my car towed there, they even had a loaner for me and i was really grateful they got it done today, 2/18/2015 Fabulous customer service the only thing i didn't like was how long it took me to get through to service i was put on hold and resent to their department just to be put on hold again this went for over 30 minutes... The price is right for repair, i have a Tribeca which i believe usually costs more for repair although i think there cheaper then any where else...
