I had an oil change this morning. From the moment I came in (a few minutes before my 8am appt), the young man, Chris, was very courteous, helpful and throughout the wait time, about an hour, I observed his interaction with customers in person, as well as on the phone. I applaud this employee for his excellent customer service, kindness, upbeat personality and manners!! I have been a Supervisor ( 10+ years) and would hire him immediately! We need to make sure when we as customers see this type of service, they are recognized! I will be back again because of Chris!! Well done, well done!!!🙌👏

These guys are quick and kind! They had the best customer service and answered all my crazy questions with patience. If you have tire needs go here I highly recommend. The front counter staff may say it will take a few hours but the hard working techs had me out in 45 minutes.

My brakes went out on my way to work (from Big Lake to Anchorage), yes I amazingly made it to work safely. But I didn’t want to make the trip back sans brakes. I rushed in when they opened hoping they could squeeze me in. They were able to get my car completed before 3 and I made it home safe! Great customer service and will definitely be using them in the future.

Went in for winter tire change over and had discussed cost on phone. When dripping off discovered would be more as new tires were unstudded and needed studs installed for additional fee. The young lady at the counter looked into other tires and actually got me a better deal than quote on phone or adjusted cost. Great service otherwise.

This is my 3rd go round to get the struts on my 2011 Dodge Durango right. Used 2 local, small businesses to get my front end fixed and both did a p.p. job. Tried to give the little guy some business but it was all at my expense. Midas provided a lifetime warranty on my struts and brake pads as long as I own my car. $3500 later but the job is done right and my car is safe again for the 400 mile round trip I make every 2 weeks through the mountains of Alaska.

Great experience and they were super helpful. My truck was running pretty bad and they helped diagnose a dirty fuel filter and then also determine that my four-wheel-drive actuator had gone bad. Good timing since I had to drive five hours back home across a couple snowy passes.

Their work is quality but the guy told me that he would knock off 30 dollars from the alignment because.. when I last went there I spent 2300 on stuff that needed to be done. Well their alignment machine was out and they never told me about my Jeep needing one. Soo I go through summer w the steering wheel pulling to the right. Well 5 months later I go in and the guy tells me that he would knock off 30 dollars for the wait. So I made appointment for 9 am. Well 9 am doesn't mean your vehicle would be in any close to that time. Off to the mall, hour or so later the Jeep is still outside. Well when it was finally done the same guy who said he would knock off $30, charged me the full amount.

When a customers wheel comes off they're always like "I could have died!" And I always think; well that would have been best case scenario so I wouldn't have to hear you yelling about it. Your alive right? Get over yourself. What's done is done and you yelling can't change the past. Would definatly go here again! Great and fast service!

Service was a good value. I had an appointment for 10am but it took until 1230 to complete the oil change and tire rotation. Other than them taking a long time everything else was fine. Make sure you plan for extra time. Just in case.

I noticed that I had a flat tire and googled “nearest tire repair to me”. Midas was just one mile away. Drove there with no appointment. That was about 3:30 PM. They said they’d take a look and call me. Got a call at 4 o’clock. Four nails in the tire and they recommended a new one. The price was very reasonable and the service excellent. I had my car back the next morning at 8:00 am. I will definitely use this Midas in the future. Thank you all again for the great “new” customer service.

Went in on a Saturday for some standard maintenance. Oil change, tire rotation, that sort of thing. The service took around three hours from check-in to checkout, which I think was reasonable given that the shop looked moderately busy. I was told at checkout that my car was in good shape, although I would have appreciated some form of written review of its condition. I withhold any judgement on price, because I'm not yet familiar enough with auto repair prices in the city. Overall very professional and efficient service.

I took my 2020 Ram 1500 in for an oil change. They provided great customer service, included with the oil change is an interactive and detailed multipoint inspection. The price associated is also reasonable, with a very quick turnaround time. They treat your cars with great care. I’ll be returning.

I pulled into Midas with a low tire warning, and expected to add air to it and bring the car back when I could drop it off to have the tire repaired. When MJ, the mechanic, came out to put some air in, he offered to just fix it on the spot. He figured out it was a slow leak from a dirty rim and wire brushed it clean. I was back on the road in fifteen minutes. Great service and helpful staff.

Did the job, but lacks any sort of excellent customer service. DO NOT request an appointment online. It just falls on deaf ears. Give them a call if you need an appointment, or go to the one on Bagraw (much better customer service).

Had an extremely flat tire and needed to get towed somewhere to diagnose. Midas was closest to my home and they were extremely quick to get my car in and figure out a nail had punctured it. The repair was very affordable and I was grateful they took the time to repair it instead of replace it!

Like a dummy I didn't realize my tires were already all weather so they called and asked why I was ordering same style tires. In the end they recommended a better winter tire and saved me a few hundred dollars!

I have used this location for tire change overs and oil changes. They are exceptionally professional, even when busy and under pressure. They completed my car ahead of schedule. They send a nice link to your phone to show you inspection report along with photos. As for the schedule, they were amazing to work with, and willingly squeezed me in even though I didn't have an appointment.

I delivered my Dad's truck to have a few concerns looked at and an oil change. I was very impressed with the courtesy diagnostic testing done that was sent via text inclusive of photos and indicating which items were critical, maintenance/keep an eye on, and good. The communication was great. Also, I requested that the vehicle be done by 2pm the following day and received a call at 9am they were finished. A friend suggested this location and I was not disappointed!!

They’ve done previous car maintenance for us , oil change etc. it’s been fine nothing to complain about. Price may be a little high, but since they are open on the weekends I understand the price of convenience. However today we had an appointment at 9 am for an oil change . My bf had the car there at 9am walked to a big box store to shop and wait for it to be done. He showed back up at 10:30 and found out it hadn’t even been touched. I understand a business being busy, but that’s why you make an appointment. I was really disappointed. He said they told him our car was next, but honestly not acceptable, we’ll just go some where else.

They sent me a nifty little rundown of the inspection they did on my Mom's car, pictures & everything, that was cool! I was expecting to wait about 30-45 minutes, but it took just over 2 hours, I was getting antsy, after about an hour & a half, but after I received the inspection link I wasn't as impatient & for $55.99 (I got high mileage oil) it was a good deal, I think. I would recommend this place to friends. :)

My starter went out and I called them. They told me what the best towing company was. They were very helpful in giving me the information I needed to get my car fixed. Within a couple hours they confirmed what was wrong and the car was ready to pick up the next morning. They did what they promised and communicated with me. I really appreciated the excellent customer service I received.

Update 2021: I loved that I could make an appointment. I was helped immediately when I dropped my car off. I received a digital inspection report via text message that was amazing. Green, red and yellow indicators for each inspection item, detailed explanations, and photos of those parts that needed repair. I was able to communicate with them via text message regarding which actions I wanted to proceed with after they provided detailed price quotes. They texted again when my car was ready. I was helped right away when I went to pick it up and I was charged precisely as had been previously indicated. This was an exceptionally good car repair experience! 2018: The service personnel were friendly and helpful, the service took less time than had been anticipated, and the quality seemed good. The price was a bit high, but that seems to be the norm in Anchorage.

These guys were awesome, very fast to respond to our emergency when we had our vehicle towed there. Unfortunately, we had to have Ford do the work due to a warranty. Midas told me they’d have it ready in 1 day. Going on a week at Ford and just got a diagnosis from them, likely a 3 week repair. Ridiculous! I’d use these guys all day long!! Good value too compared to Kendall Ford costs!

It took me a long time to find a trusty mechanic shop in Anchorage. Nathan and the rest of the staff always take time to listen and fix my vehicle in a timely manner. Most if not all of the work has a warranty. They are reasonably priced and what is really impressive is I almost always get my vehicle back the same day. I am very happy to have finally made Midas my shop of choice after dealing with other mechanics taking days to fix small problems, overcharging, and have rude people working phones and the counter. They have a whole team and many bay doors to get your car or truck in and out back on the road. As a lifelong Alaskan they have my families buisness whenever I need to bring in the rig. Thanks Midas I appreciate you always going above and beyond.

I had a wonderful experience with them yesterday. I had a completely flat tire on Seward Hwy. Luckily I was around the corner from them when I found out and my insurance road car assistant service changed the tire within 10 mins. Midas replaced the bad tire for a new one in an hr. I needed new brakes badly and when I called the service manager David quoted me a price and also told me it would be more if the calipers needed replacing. They were able to get my vehicle in right away and I absolutely loved receiving the service report via text with pictures showing me exactly what needed to be repaired. The repairs ended up being more than I anticipated, but they got me in quickly and customer service was fantastic.

Midas was great I’m super happy n thankful we brought our car in for repair work on a gasket change and they found a leak in a fuel line that we didn’t know of an would of caught fire or accident if we kept riding it on long drives. Spent $4,600 for tires, brakes, rotors, shocks, etc. last October. Immediately put it in storage for the winter. First drive down the highway this summer it felt like the front end was going to shake off! Took it back and the tires needed balancing! Obviously, it wasn't done. Drives great now. However, I didn't appreciate the grease stains on the floor mat and on the carpet on the inside of the driver's door where someone must've pushed it several times with their greasy shoes! What happened to the paper mats and shoe coverings to keep the interior protected? Do you offer free grease removal?

Fuel line broke with major leak they took us right in we are from out of town. While it seemed especially expensive we understand there must be an urgent fee and we are willing to pay that. Also the part didn’t come from California for a week. They were gracious employees and the were very busy and handled it all very well! They will be our go to from now on if we need car care in Anchorage! We have not picked up our vehicle yet but we are expecting good quality!!

The team was super friendly and helpful, you get a very detailed report on your phone with pictures of all the parts in your car and their current status. I brought in my car to get the front end aligned, but it didn't seem to make any difference on the handling after all was said and done. I ended up figuring out that it was a problem with one of the tires that they must have overlooked at Midas. When I called to speak with the manager David, he was very helpful and apologetic of the situation and offered to give me a refund for the service. It's not often that I run into service providers who admit to mistakes and correct the situation, but I definitely appreciate it when I do.

Customer service has always been good here. I used them to change over tires on 3 vehicles over the years. One technician didn't put the directional tires on correctly but they did correct it for us free of charge (same day). Customer service is excellent. Sometimes we do have to wait longer to get tires changed irregardless if we had an appointment. But since thier customer service is great it's worth the wait! UPDATE: We still use this specific Midas location. We will never anywhere else. We recently had our Alignment completed here. Great technicians! We also bought winter tires here since the original post. Solid shop, we do all our car maintenance ourselves because we can. So we are super picky when it comes handing our keys over to other mechanics but these guys are great. Keep it up!!
