Hans Wittler's has the best service hands down! Marcus at the Wilshire location was incredible. I had an issue with the fuel pump(s) of my Volkswagon that was causing my car to stall. These guys helped me get back on the road safely with a very fair quote for my repair. He also went out of his way to get a body-shop estimate for me after I was rear-ended. They were communicative, friendly, and extremely considerate. Can't recommend this place enough.

I drove from Colorado to Albuquerque to pick up a car listed for sale here, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Porsche I bought was in pristine condition and was well maintained here. They provided me service records, a detailed list of maintenance, as well any information I requested. They gave me confirmation of holding the car for me so I could feel confident to drive down from Colorado to pick it up, as well as being extremely communicative throughout the process. They were extremely friendly and opened up the shop on a weekend for me to come in. As someone is generally weary of buying used cars from dealers/shops, the people here helped change my perception of the buying a used car. I can't recommend Hans Wittlers enough.

These guys are fantastic!!! As a former Audi technician I take care of maintenance on my own vehicles. However I don’t have access to an Audi scan tool and I needed it to complete my service. I contacted Audi of ABQ and they tried to charge me $100 to literally have log in the scan tool and hit a couple buttons… Again, I was a tech, I know it only takes 90 seconds and I know what the labor rate is supposed to be. Called the guys here at Hans and they told me to come on down and they would take care of me. I was very impressed. Customer service and energy there was top notch. Shop looked to be clean and well operated. We talked about some of these cars and the challenges that come with working on them, and it was obvious they really knew there stuff. I even learned something from them. I may not have had a full service done at this time but I assure you when I’m sick of working on my own car this is where I’m going. 10 out of 10.

Top notch professional service!!! Check in was on time and courteous, complete with courtesy driver. Communication at check in and throughout the entire process was continuous. Texts, phone calls and emails kept us apprised of progress and cost estimates. I will definitely use them again on all of our Porsches.

I always forget to respond to these guys’ texts, but I will give them a stellar review! Fair pricing on labor and parts, very quick on the turnaround for most jobs, and very knowledgeable advisors; who have a passion for German vehicles as well. Communication is great and the work quality even more so. In other words, a complete 180 from most experiences you’d have at VW dealerships. Give these guys a shout if you need your German car worked on.

These guys are very good with people. I feel alot better going to them then the BMW dealership. The price was a little less then the dealership but, I didn't have to worry about some 18 year old telling me this and that ,that has no idea what he is talking about. And since the sandia BMW dealership was sold, the new owners just don't care at all about there customers. We have bought five BMW'S from them and they just don't show any respect. These guys, are fantastic! Hopefully they won't hire children to do a man's job. I recommend them a 100%! The parking area told me there story, all high end cars. BMW'S everywhere!!!! Loved that!

Hans Wittler’s Automotive will now be the only place I bring my 2014 Jetta Volkswagen for car maintenance. I will try to keep this review short. I went to the Volkswagen Dealership on Ellison to have my car looked at because my engine light and EPC light came on while I was driving it in NC. Now, I had my 80,000 mile tune up done there in August spending over $2000 making sure everything was running great and ready for my long road trip from NM to NC. I had to get my car shipped back due to EPC and engine light coming on. After googling what it could have been it said something possibly dealing with the transmission and to not drive anymore. Transmission services was something I had done during the services at Volkswagen on Ellison. So, I assumed they maybe missed something so I had my car shipped back to them for $1419. They looked at my car. I asked them if they would waive the $150 fee to look to see what the problem is since I literally just spent over $2000 3 months ago and another grand to get it shipped there. The guy upfront told me that if the issue they found related to services that was done back in August they will waive the fee and fix it. They told me that it was my ignition coil and ignition wires that needed to be replace and that doesn’t look like it had anything to do with the services they completed back in August and I was looking at a starting estimate of $1,000. I have to say I was about tapped out at this point. I asked if that $150 fee would be waived since I received a text and email saying that amount was $0. The gentlemen told me he spoke with his supervisor and unfortunately no it can not be waived and the technician who looked at my car still has to get paid for viewing and diagnosing it. I have to say I was bummed because I bought my car from there and have been using them for years and was sad to hear it. In his defense he did tell me in the beginning that if it did not relate to the services that was done it would not be waived. So, I paid the fee and looked for other options. I googled and came across raving reviews for Hans Wittler’s Automotive. I figured I would take a chance and call them. I had the pleasure of speaking to Marcus at the Wilshire location! I have to say I reached out to a few other places and Marcus is the only one who asked for my car VIN number and was able to give me a ball park price after I told him that Volkswagen told me it was my ignition coil and wires. He got me in ASAP. They assessed my car. He gave me an amount that he thought would be the price and told me it shouldn’t go over unless they found something critical. It was no where near what Volkswagen dealership was charging. It ended up being one of my cylinders(which the dealership didn’t mention)and an ignition coil. They told me they caught it just in time because once cylinders go out, that leads to transmission trouble, which basically means get a new car. I’m 100% positive the dealership would have charged me thousands to fix this! Marcus kept his word and the price stayed what he told me even after finding the cylinder problem. Of course, NM gross tax applied and took it up a little, but that was nothing compared to the alternate. I even noticed they lowered the price on some things to help keep it at the price that was quoted. I will only bring my car here for now on! I don’t just recommend this company. I’m telling you to choose them! They are amazing and truly work with you. Sorry for the long review but I just had to include some back ground so you can understand how truly amazing this company and everyone who works here are!

I’ve had my fair share of insuring a great customer experience for my own customers. That being said…. The guys at Hans left nothing more to be desired. They provided proper information, updates & follow up calls. No doubt, this is the answer to the nightmare you’ll experience at many local dealerships. Andreas was very helpful and keeping me up to date and trying to accommodate same day due to my car being towed there for a battery installl.The hand off not so much. I was told someone would call with an update. No one called to say if the work could be done the same day, or if my car was going to be held till Monday. I had no idea if I needed to rent a car for work on Monday. I called at 3:30 and was told it will be ready by close. In addition, when they reset the computer they didn't reset my be tire notification, so I've been having to correct every time I start my car. The tires are being replaced this weekend, so hopefully that corrects the issue. I know that this little bit of communication break down is just a one off. Normally my experience is a positive one. I’ve been looking all over Albuquerque for someone to service my VW. Luckily I came across Hans Wittler. I could have easily gone to the VW dealership. There's a reason they have so many good ratings. You know you have a good mechanic when they investigate whether or not a part needs to be replaced vs if they can just adjust/fix it and save you money while making less money themselves. In my case it was the camshaft position/ timing sensors, which just needed to be cleaned rather than replaced. That alone saved me about $700. They also told me about upcoming future repairs, and which of these were mandatory fixes and which ones were just fixing various bells and whistles on my BMW. I appreciate their honesty and strongly recommend their services.

Just went in to set up an appointment for my 2016 Mercedes-Benz E350 Sport for a rear brake job, transmission fluid flush, oil change and tire rotation. I've been dealing with Hans Wittler's Automotive for about a year and I can say they have taken care of my car needs with much respect and professionalism. I've had to deal with the Mercedes Benz dealership and Hans and the workmanship is pretty comparable without the dealership cost being more. Hans Wittler has 2 locations to choose from and this will be my first experience at this location. I have a co-worker that swears by this location so I've decided to give them a try. These folks take great care of me. While completing my vehicle's emissions test, someone noticed that one of my tail lights was out. They replaced it at no additional charge. These guys are trustworthy, reliable, honest and wondrous! The dealership had worked on my Audi Q5 twice (2016 & 2018) under a recall in connection with my fuel pump. Go figure yet another disastrous problem with.... the fuel pump! which the dealership basically washed their hands of it, stating no warranty and beyond their obligation. WOW! really? if you've already worked on the same issue twice and it reappears yet again, I'm thinking it's indicative of you not fixing the problem. So much for the dealership and THANK YOU! Hans Wittler! who remedied the problem, yes rather expensive of course, however when they tell you something, it is truly the actual problem and most significantly, the remedy for the problem. They back their work with, in my case, a 3 year warranty and additional info and a path to fix other issues. Unfortunately, my only difficulty is not having a loaner car or a ride to home/office while they are working on the car. That said, I still would not EVER go anywhere else but Hans Wittler nor do I trust anyone else to rely on for an honest and clear answer to any mechanical issue with my Audi.

Needed another key with fob for my Audi, dealership wanted to change over $700 for key, cutting key, and programming. Was recommended by a friend to go to Hans and they are almost one of the only places that will work with my Audi. Didn’t like that i was charged $135 for a 10 minute key programming plus price of key but needed it done. All of my big repairs or maintenance will be done through Hans!

I've been coming here for a few years and the team here always does a great job. I recently had them replace the rod bearings in my E92 M3 which is quite a big job and requires very meticulous detail with torque specs, reassembly, etc. and they did a phenomenal job! I have a nearly 40-year-old Porsche show car. I used Wittler's for a fix of a chronic air conditioning issue that has plagued the car for many years. I gave them plenty of time to diagnose, find parts, and then test the result. So far, so good. The a/c is nice and cold, a week later. I also use Wittler's for our daily-driver Audi allroad. They've done a fine job of maintaining it.

The Wittlers have been servicing my Porches and BMWs since I bought my '80 SC Targa IN '82. I just bought my second 911, a 2014 Carrera 4 S Cabriolet, and they'll be doing it all for that car once it's out of CPO warranty. Since the service isn't included in that warranty, they'll be doing that from this point on, too. Suffice it to say, I trust them to do the right work for the right price. They've recently opened a 2nd shop on Wilshire a couple of blocks south of Alameda between San Pedro and the I-25 access road. That's closer to Corrales than the original location between Chico and Central on Elizabeth, and I'm happy about that. Between the two locations, one should work for you. If you are in the market for an independent mechanic, give Wittler's a try, especially if you have a German performance vehicle.
