Honestly, I've driven by these types of businesses my whole life but I always felt they looked sketchy at best. After the last rock chip cracked my entire windshield in a matter of hours, I wasn't taking a chance of that happening again. I arrived at this place within 20 minutes of the rock hitting my windshield. Juan was upfront about cost, knowledgeable about auto glass, and very transparent about what to expect. All I wanted was to prevent my windshield from cracking. However, within 10 minutes I could barely even see the once significant chip. I now have a go to place for when this happens again.

I've driven past this spot so many times on my way to work. I had an older chip from a few weeks ago that did not spread at all. Today, I got a brand new big chip that had visible cracks. I had 30 minutes during lunch and decided to give this place a shot. Juan did not disappoint, as he had me in and out in under 20 minutes. Both chips. even the big ugly new one, are barely visible and Juan was super friendly and informative. If Houston roads screw me over again, I know I'm going back to Juan!

I’ve gone past Need a Fix Windshield repair at the corner of Montrose and West Gray for several years. This time I needed to repair rock chip on my windshield. Juan let me know my particular insurance company requires getting approval to get it done for “free” or I could pay cash $50. I decided on getting it done through insurance. FYI: You may want to call your insurance company before heading over to get it fixed because it can take between 1-24 hours for the insurance company to approve it. ( Mine took about an hour). Juan has been fixing windshields in the SAME location for 17 years. He did a great job fixing my windshield in about 10 minutes once I was inside his tent. You can barely see the rock chip, but he was honest and said I may be able to see a little more during bright sunny days. He said he guarantees his work not to spider out. While mine was a small rock chip he said he repairs cracks up to the size of a dollar bill give or take. I would definitely recommend him to everyone.

I had a major rock chip that required repair asap to avoid splitting. I drove to Need A Fix from Garden Oaks based on the rave reviews of Juan's workmanship, and it was worth it. He explained in advance that the chip will not fully disappear after the fix. It will still show a glare with two pinholes as remnants of the initial damage. I was okay with that and consented to the repair plus requested for 2 more chips to be repaired too (even though he said the other 2 would not split). Everything was completed in about 25 minutes. Juan did quality work at a very reasonable price. I'm sure he saved me a future windshield replacement which would cost a few hundred dollars or more for a luxury car. Go to Juan if you want honest, professional work done for a great price!

I put this in my phone for the future, I drive on I-45 a lot, have a need for someone like this. $40 for repair, and it turned out great, better result than I've had with others (well, one other). I wish I knew about him when I had to replace one recently, cost me $200 extra.

Juan was able to fix my windshield crack in less then 15 minutes. He also gave me the number for my insurance -glass claims department so it was covered at 100%. He gave great advice about not going through car washes or letting the crack sit for too long, or touch the crack from the inside of the car. All those things can make the crack spread. I recommend coming about 30 minutes after he opens or later in the afternoon To get a good spot in line.

I’ve always seen this place by my house for years next to one of my favorite donut/kolache shops however I never needed windshield repair! Need a fix is conveniently located at the corner of Montrose and West Gray you’ll see their tent in front of Christie’s. Juan has been repairing windshields at this location for over twelve years and he has taken care of three different cracks for me in the past. His meticulous attention to detail sets him apart, as he quickly noticed that during my last repair there was solvent in the crack, (I had run the car through a car wash which was a WRONG thing to do - always repair it first!) We got the crack dry and repaired it within fifteen minutes! He was straight up about the 30% chance of the crack expanding, but at his prices I'd rather take that chance!
