He worried me at first because he appeared to be more like a mediator and nothing would change in my matter, but after months of working with him on a family matter case, I decided to hire him on for another case. I've always felt capable of handling my own legal matters by myself like, how hard can it be? File a form, deliver, wait for answers, etc. I was brought down to earth with a simple "my claim was denied" letter. But I found out I could still appeal that so, now humble me, I went and called a few law firms in the area and the team at My AZ Lawyers was extremely helpful, they helped me calm myself and the front desk lady came and gave me a bottle of water - the good kind (I was probably hyperventilating by the end of the consultation). They were so kind and understanding and I felt like I was in good hands throughout the whole thing. There are no words to say how much I have appreciated Jami Goldman. My first experience, within a 2 day notice before my court hearing, she had all the facts practically memorized for court!….then I met her in person for the very first time only 30 min before the hearing! I am not familiar with court proceedings and was very nervous to respond, yet she was able to open the conversation, gave me simple directions to answer questions & fill in everything else needed! So awesome! 4 months later when she was out of work on an injury, remembering my previous case, (again with only 2 days notice) she agreed to take my new extension via audio call from her home….to the court hearing…..with me on the 3 way call! If that wasn’t impressive enough (out on an injury), she compiled all the info I submitted, asked a few additional questions & drafted 13 Exhibits to the court just 1 day before court. From the depth and detailed investigation into my event and all the processes and procedures that were involved from interviewing witnesses, officials, technicians and demanding equipment calibration and service history, no opportunity to mitigate my situation was overlooked. A one time single rate that was allowed to be paid over a short period of months was a life saver. That cost covered over eighteen months of support and professional legal defense. Allbeit prolonged by COVID and the closure and rescheduling of court hearing dates, at no point was the additional time and work required by my AZ Lawyer team passed off to me as additional costs. Even after the sentence had been satisfied and all requirements completed the court somehow found cause to send a summons to me to reappear in court for an alleged contempt of court? Tara and Craig worked on my behalf with the court and I recieve a vacated notice on the alleged contempt. More work for My AZ Lawyers on a court error and again. No additional costs to me. To begin, I don't give out 5 stars often. Poor financial decisions in my 20's and 30's (and my ex spouse) led to over 10000$ of unpaid debt in collections. Last summer in 2019 I started getting my paychecks garnished for 35%, then another for 15% more. As a single mom of a 16 year old, this was ruining me. I looked into bankruptcy and learned that Chapter 7 is what I needed. I reached out to a competitor first, Upright Law. Mistake. They lied and said they would file with zero down, which is not true. The lawyer said after I paid off the entire amount they would file. Discouraged, I let a month go by, and waiting on the stimulus money to pay for a bankruptcy. I opened Craigslist, and the first bankruptcy firm is My AZ Lawyers. Their ad was blunt, and worded crystal clear - They file upfront and work out an easy payment plan AFTER filing.
