Thanks Ryan and Jackson White for all the assistance in settling my husband’s estate. My Husband Jeff passed in July after contracting COVID-19 while in the Hospital for treatment of a bleeding ulcer. At the time we hadn’t gotten around to making a will (although we were always going to) we thought that as far as most of our banking was concerned, we were in good shape, and we really had no creditors. I tried doing all the things that were expected like calling Social Security and stopping his pension check, but within just a few days of his death his checking (which most of our bills were paid via autopay) and our savings accounts were frozen by the bank. Over the last 10 years I have had to assist with the care and financial matters of close relatives. In 2012, I needed to assume the guardianship and act as conservator for my paternal aunt. I found Jackson White attorneys that specialized in elderly care and would take work in Navajo County, Arizona. I had exceptional assistance, care, and advice. So, in 2020 when my cousin passed away, I turned back to Jackson White. The attorney assigned to me was Ryan Hodges. My cousin had a trust, but I was unable to find it. Mr. Hodges also tried the leads I gave him to locate this trust. As my cousin’s parents preceded him in death, there was no current spouse, and he had no children, I was next in line to probate his estate. I was familiar with his financial affairs since I was assigned his mother’s care in 2012. I reached out to Jackson White and Ryan Hodges. Mr. Hodges was up front and honest with my situation and my cousin’s financial situation. There were 16 cousins and 2 uncles that were part of my cousin’s estate. Ryan candidly advised me that after debts there would be little if any monies left to distribute. I did decide to continue so I could pay my cousins debtors in full. This estate probate was handled in Pima County, Arizona with me residing in New Mexico. Everything was done remotely, and Mr. Hodges arranged for me to call into the court hearing. Mr. Hodges assisted me through the court proceedings, filing of claims, distribution of assets, getting a bond, and finalizing the paperwork. I could not have accomplished the probate without Mr. Hodges and a couple of trips to Florence, AZ. During the pandemic, I was grateful to do everything remotely. And I was relieved that everything was according to current Arizona laws. I successfully became the personal rep for my cousin’s estate. I successfully paid his debtors in full. And Mr. Hodges was right, that there were no assets to distribute to the heirs. But I have my cousin buried with his parents and a clean conscious that those that gave my cousin assistance in the last year of his life were repaid for their out-of-pocket expenses. Ms. Weeks is truly a wonder of a woman who can take any level of heaviness of a case and reduce it to being no lighter than a feather. After consulting Jackson White Law for misdemeanor charges thrown at me, she took over my case and literally handled it like a Boss. It took her only a few weeks(during the midst of the height of the pandemic in Phoenix) to relieve me of this case and essentially end the prosecution against me. I’ve dealt with numerous attorneys over the past 21 years and I’ve never had any of them deliver on their promises in a timely matter, nor have they stuck to the fee agreement, until now. I received a speeding ticket while driving with my wife and daughter in the car. I was given this ticket at the very end of the month and for those of you who know, police departments do have quotas and they are required to meet them. I was an absolute casualty of this underhanded theft, that occurs to many of us who are collectively known as “We The People.” The officer was dishonest in every aspect of the charge, including but not limited to, stating he had me speeding on “LIE DAR,” with an obvious focus on “LIE.” On the ticket he wrote “Pace,” as the method for his observation, which was an impossibility. Jackson White charged me a fair fee and took care of EVERYTHING! The outcome couldn’t have been better. I NEVER take the time to leave feedback, however, I’ve NEVER witnessed the level of professionalism and customer service from any law firm in my entire life, until NOW. I’m a business owner and work in high finance and dealing with attorneys is part of my normal daily business activities.
