Being a very active stepmom is hard enough but when dealing with a high conflict biomom its even more difficult. Over the past two years, I have been with my husband preparing for his contempt hearing and after much consideration I said we need a lawyer. Afterwhich I found Affordable legal and Mr Kaplan was more than helpful. He took spent several days prepapring us for court. He made sure high conflict mom didn't dominate the conversation and my husband finally had a voice. Finally my husband will be able to have his children on biweekly bases and be able to be the active parent that she was trying to prevent him from being. I'm using Mr. Kaplan for my child support case and while he's an absolute shark in court and very well articulate, it is incredibly hard to get a hold of him outside of court. I've been trying to speak with him about my case for over a week now - I left one message on his voicemail system and one with his wife, but have not gotten a callback. I tried to reach out to him about an hour ago and the voicemailbox is full, so I can't even leave him another message. That being said, once he steps into court, he's very professional and great at what he does, so I have no problem with him in person. It's the lack of communication outside of court that is frustrating, especially since going to court already makes me anxious.

I've lived in NE Philly just about my whole life and so when I visit a lawyer across from roosevelt mall slightly cheaper to a bunch of people downtown obviously I was skeptical as I'm sure any Philly native might be. At the end of the day Mr. Kaplan took me in 2 hours before he closed on a holiday and was nice and very forward. He asked me the right questions, told me when he would call after he was done reviewing my case, told me what to wear and even knew the judge. He called at the time said told me he felt we had a strong case and how we would go about it. At the end of the day I never had to see the judge. He had it dropped after putting in great effort to convice my ex who is notoriously difficult to deal with to do so. He could see right through her and her family she had brought with her and even gave me advice about a separate issue which he was not required to do. And on top of it all I saved over $1000 minimum. Really couldn't ask for much more.
