It was my good fortune to retain Spodek Law Group for representation for my legal needs. From the beginning, communication was prompt and thorough. This year in June I got in trouble for the first time ever in my life, just making a not so smart decision. Putting myself in a not so good position as well. Experiencing being arrested, and also experiencing prison for the first time, it was traumatizing, but also taught me a lesson as well. After posting bond I was facing serious prison time. I came to this firm for my divorce, and this is my first time going through a process this alien to me. But Claire has been extremely patient in helping me, she guided me through all the difficult to understand issues and made this stressful situation extremely easy to go through. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Spodek Law Group is the BEST team u can ever retain in NYC!! They are professionals and work very hard at what they do. They do their best on fighting your case and getting the best outcome possible that they will leave u amazed. I was facing serious charges that I could have been in prison for 15-30 years but with the hard work of Todd, Alex, Sean, and the rest of their team they got me the greatest sentence ever. With my guidelines putting me at 24-36 months, Todd was fighting for me to get 6 months. But at the end on sentencing day, after 2 long hours and a 15 mins recess that felt like forever and my anxiety on 1000 the judge comes back in the room and sentences me to 5 years probation. When I heard him say that I was in complete SHOCK and couldn’t believe it bc I thought I was going to get some type of jail time but didn’t. I appreciate all the hard work that they put in for my case and wouldn’t hesitate to retain them again if I had to bc they are THE BEST at what hey do and WORTH EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR!!!!!!

When I was wrongfully accused of a crime, everyone told me I needed to hire a serious criminal defense attorney. Todd was recommended to me by a managing partner at large NY firm as being the best criminal defense attorney in the city. He did not disappoint. Todd and his team hit the ground running on my case- they conducted witness interviews, outlined strategy and began advocating on my behalf with the DAs office (emails, phone calls and even a face-to-face meeting). His team kept me apprised every step of the way. He has great rapport and unmatched expertise in NY criminal courts, which can’t be underestimated when dealing with the slow moving criminal justice system. Todd himself was extremely hands on. We had multiple strategy calls during which he outlined where we were in the case and what the next steps were. He is tough, but also understands how emotionally difficult it is to be falsely accused of a crime and dealing with the criminal justice system. He offered his expertise and guidance but listened to my goals regarding pushing for dismissal. He did not try to force me to take the first good deal that the ADA offered. He was constantly advocating on my behalf. Early on it became clear the amount of time that Todd and his team spent working on my behalf far surpassed the flat fee we agreed to for the case. I offered multiple times to pay more for all of the work they did. He refused- Todd said we agreed to a flat fee for this case no matter how much work it took and his firm would not accept a penny more than the fee he agreed to. I am thrilled that just a few short months after the false allegations against were filed, the DA’s office issued an outright dismissal of the charges. Thank you so much to Todd and his entire team. You are not going to find better lawyers or a better law firm. I have never had to retain legal counsel before and had a lot of anxiety and apprehension, so after an exhaustive search, I made a list and started calling around. By the time I got to Spodek I was starting to feel hopeless - everyone I spoke to up until that point had come across indifferent or aloof. Alex answered my call. He was the first person I talked to that genuinely seemed to care about me and the myriad of emotions I was experiencing. He offered to work with me to accommodate my financial situation, and after explaining my legal situation to Alex, he gave me an overview of the road ahead and how Spodek could help navigate that road for me. The knowledge he had and shared in our preliminary call put me at ease and gave me much needed hope. I could tell that he was knowledgeable and had integrity (both highly important to me), but it was Alex’s compassion, empathy, and emotional intelligence that sealed the deal for me. Make no mistake though, they are tough and fight hard for their clients and are clearly well-respected. This ended up being true of everyone I encountered and worked with at Spodek - Todd Spodek, Angelika Arias (who became my main point of contact), and Sunday Williams (who always warmly greeted me whenever I went to the office and helped me set up my payment plan). They were efficient and helped me resolve my issue expediently, especially considering how long legal matters can drag on. After I went into the office to sign my paperwork to officially retain Spodek (you can, of course, do this digitally, but I think it's important to put faces to names), I mostly left them to do their job and do their jobs they did! During that meeting they provided a more in-depth overview of the process ahead so I knew what to expect. They'd reach out when they had updates, and I'd reach out if I had a question, but I didn't feel the need to speak with them all the time because I felt like I was in good hands. However, they were very accessible, and whenever I did reach out, they were always very responsive. They have a password-protected client portal that is used to send messages between you and them and for all case-related documents which I really liked because it kept everything very neatly and securely in one place. Notifications about any portal activity are sent to your email (new message alerts, if a document is uploaded, etc). The portal is well laid out, very intuitive and user-friendly, and is easy to navigate whether you're on a smartphone or computer. Needless to say, their entire approach and process helped relieve a lot of my stress and anxiety. During my initial in-person meeting, the team at Spodek also managed my expectations by being realistic and honest. They provided the best-case scenario (which was in line with what the other firms I spoke to said so I knew it was realistic and no b.s.), worst-case scenario (although the chances of this were practically zero), as well as the possibility of the outcome falling somewhere in between. However, they were confident from the outset that they could achieve the "standard" best case scenario for my situation, but did not make promises or give me false hope. In the end, they did not achieve the best-case scenario for me, they were able to achieve BETTER than the best-case scenario. I was blown away when Angelika, one of the attorneys working diligently on my case, called me with the news. Then 1-2 weeks later Angelika called me to let me know they were able to improve the final outcome even further. This is the kind of law firm they are. They had already gone above and beyond to get me the initial result and could have stopped there and moved on to other things, but they kept fighting and working for me up until the very end. It was in that moment that I realized how much of a blessing it was to have them in my corner. As I was looking for a law firm to represent me on a very contentious familial case in which I was accused of a crime that I didn’t commit. Now I know that is an infamous line, however when I brought my case to Alex and Todd they believed in me. I couldn't get ahold of my family law lawyer on account of the Corona Pandemic, and I was in a hurry for good representation to handle a developing crisis pertaining to the wellbeing of my 3 children in light of an escalating conflict with my ex wife. Not only did Spodek law get back to me right away, but I was able to get on a phone consultation with Mary-Lou within an hour. And she really took the time to understand the situation, offer support, and truly sage advise. We agreed to circle back the following day after I had a chance to interview several other law firms. None of the others gave me the same level of confidence, and the same level of expertise. As circumstance would have it, my lawyer ultimately surfaced, and upon an additional consultation with both Mary-Lou and Todd we reached the conclusion, with their full support, that since this crisis could probably be resolved with surgical means, it didn't make sense to change my counsel for it. I could not have asked to come in contact with a better law firm when I chose Todd and his team. I was up against filthy rich, connected and powerful psychotic sociopath of a woman. I was dealing with death threats, mental and physical abuse, financial abuse and total control over my life. I wanted it so bad that I lived homeless on the streets of Brooklyn for over a month attending school. After she continued to threaten my life and then had the NYPD call me up asking questions based off of lies I decided that was it. I couldn't afford to be caught dead in my situation. I left NYC with very little. I was already 1500+ miles away starting a new life when the NYPD called me and told me I had to come back to NY for a bogus warrant they had for me from the her lies. Todd will thank me for saying this. DO NOT talk to the police. Call him instead. I searched days for a good attorney who would talk to me longer than 5 minutes to explain my extremely complicated case. Todd and his right hand man Alex must have spent HOURS talking with me before I even retained them. Thanks for all of those late nights Alex! You pay one fee and they represent you all the way, even if it has to go to trial. I was also blown away with their generous and selfless veterans discount. I retained them within a few days. They got right to work with me learning and listening to every detail about my case. They formulated a game plan. They would verify that the DA and police had no further charges than what they told me, I would work with them uploading all of the hours of video, audio, text message evidence, everything, into their secure client file, fly back to NYC, meet with them, get all of our ducks in a row, then surrender the next morning, they would get me released hopefully same day, I would return at a later date to my case scheduled, return even later and get it thrown out. You can really tell that Todd and his team love what they do. I followed the game plan to a T. I flew up, met with them the day before turning myself in and they assured me they had my back. I turned myself in early that next morning, sat in the hell hole central processing, by 9 o'clock PM I was in front of the judge getting released side by side with one of Todds team named Ishan Banerjee. Thank you so much Ishan! I flew back months later and stood in front of the judge with, the man himself, Todd Spodek. My name was last with 30 or more in front of me. Todd was masterclass compared to every other attorney I saw go stand up before the judge that day. Not one was as well spoken and prepared as him. 2 minutes into talking with the judge Todd turned to me and said you wanna handle this today so you dont have to make another trip up here? Hell yeah! Was my response. Todd asked the judge for a quick recess and spend 2-3 hours running around town talking with the DA ext wile I grabbed important papers. When we met back up at the courthouse Todd was visibly sweating, shaking from all of the coffee he was drinking, 110% focused while firing off an email to the DAs office. You could tell he was really working. Ill never forget that Todd! After that, we hopped back in front of the judge and my case was dismissed! I will also never forget when I offered them another 1000 if they got me out of this and they replied "Its not about the money for us its about the bond we build with our clients". After talking to 8 different Law Firms in N.Y.C. and realizing that none were as qualified nor confident as Todd Spodek, and none other had so much experience in fighting fraud cases we finally decided to hire the Spodek Law Firm for the following 3 main reasons: #1 — After doing extensive research online we saw that Todd Spodek had been on TV representing some big names (celebrities) and SUCCESSFULLY SAVING THEM FROM JAIL TIME. That showed us that this lawyer is not an ordinary lawyer as he let his results do the talking! As results are what truly matters at the end when your life is on the line. #2 — He was not only the best-priced lawyer (to begin with), but on top of that he realized that all our money and property were seized by the government, so he agrees to take his pay in pieces and offered his services to us for a fraction of the price!!! It took me a few days to write this review as I wanted to formulate my thoughts to give Ken the Praise he deserves. Spodek Law Group has great reviews because they get great results. I found myself facing a DWI misdemeanor which would mean termination from my employment and a snowball affect that would be very catastrophic. To make a very long story short it would have ruined my life. I would have been jobless and homeless. My situation was bad because it was my 2nd DWI. Although the first one was one month short of 10 years It was still a repeated offense when I refused a chemical test this time around. Ken was able to get the DMV hearing dismissed, which would have revoked my license for a year. Ken also spent A few months pleading with the DA for leniency which we were able to obtain after a Proffer. Ken was able to secure a violation instead of a misdemeanor. Still came with some stipulation but no criminal record. My situation may be different from yours but what will stay consistent is the fight you will get by hiring Kenneth Belkin and Spodek Law Group. I would also have to say that I would call/text Ken with questions and he would do his best to answer them or he would look into what I asked. You definitely should consider Ken as he is a respectful and professional attorney who is affordable and knows his stuff.

I was arrested in Queens for VTL 512. Basically, the car was not registered. I knew Todd's father from years ago and called him. I was transferred to Todd and he immediately tried to get me a DAT. It turns out that there was a warrant from the 1980's out for me so they had to arrest me. Todd got me out and when reviewing the warrant information realized that I was out of the country when this was issued and got it dismissed. I received an ACD on the registration charge. We are going to sue the cops now!
