This was without a doubt the best experience I've ever had with a Lawyer. Not only are they thorough they're thoughtful, considerate and attentive. My disability hearing was severely intense for me due to my mental and physical problems. I had very sensitive issues that I needed to discuss and that upset me greatly, James Greeman was there with me every step of the way and he was very sympathetic, supportive and made me feel like I mattered. I have mixed feelings about this place... It still took nearly 3 yrs to finally get my SS check, but they had good lawyers that ended up getting me a live hearing with a judge to determine my case was legit, and that meeting sealed the deal... I think that fact that I was a blubbering anxious mess helped a bit more than the lawyer did, but still the fact that they got me that hearing was huge, I wouldn't have known how. HOWEVER, their staff is a bit lack luster in their attention to detail, and also their patience could use a bit of work. When I was on the phone with them recently to ask questions about my husband who is also disabled, they interrupted me like 10 times to ask irrelevant question that would have been answered quickly wo them asking me, had they just been patient and waited for me to ask my gd questions... Just shut up and listen ffs!

I've been fighting to get disability since 2015. With Greeman Toomey, they never gave up on me. I was denied twice, but they really believed in my case. Today, I was FULLY APPROVED!! They fought tooth and nail for my case and won! Communication between attorney and client were always prompt within a business day of my questions and within hours of the hearing. They're also very compassionate while absolutely professional. Mr. Greeman always listened closely to what I had to say and it almost felt like I had an actual friend defending me in court. I found Greeman Toomey law firm through a friend of a friend and I'm so glad I did. After my first phone consult with another attorney, who has told me I was "too young" (late thirties) and sure to this I "wouldn't win", Greeman Toomey's kind intake coordinator talked to me for awhile over the phone and after speaking with James Greeman and Patrick Toomey, they took my case! The case manager was fabulous and kept me in the loop on everything and answered all my questions. My first hearing their attorney Dan Yates helped to sway that judge, however apparently that judge suddenly retired and my case had to be retried with a new judge many months later. The second hearing was much longer but went very well, and they did accept all info from the first hearing including the recording from the doctor on that hearing. Mr Greeman and Mr. Toomey were absolutely kind and knowledgeable. The attorney walked me through things beforehand and asked all the right questions during the second hearing and definitely helped sway the judge. I am so very thankful they represented me! He led the judge to a favorable decision in his opening statement!!! He Sued the federal govt after I was awarded ssi . He . .was masterful in the delivery which was ended with an offer to the judge on a settlement with which the Judge agreed.. I have always been a firm believer in exercising my rights James Greeman is the Master at laying it down in the courtroom. 1st off I would like to say that I have worked with Greeman Toomey for over 20 years. My oldest who is now 24 is the 1st case that they helped me with. We went through an appeal which they helped with and won. I've worked with at least 3 of his attorneys at his law firms. Originally we had won 2/3 cases and now we are 3 for 3. 2nd I would like to mention that on my middle case I tried to retain Greenman and had a consultation where they encouraged me to pursue the case on my own because it was a strong one and I want it without legal representation. That showed me that they are not just in it for the money that they're actually honest law firm. There are a lot of law firms out there but this one particularly gains my respect because in this last case my child who was now 10 and had to refile after being denied and lost and appeal to refile everything over and WIN! They are so professional, and they work hard for their clients. I have not had much contact with them at all, so naturally i thought they were doin nothing for me... boy was i wrong!.. in the short amounts of time i did spend with them they got way more done than i thought, and the stuff they did was stuff id have never been able to accomplish on my own.... when it comes to dealin with social security it can be difficult and hard to understand what they need from you and it can be hard to obtain the stuff they need and it can be even harder to get it done correctly or on time whitch can lead to being denied. I had previously applied and got denied for disability a number of years ago. I had no idea about the process and figured I got denied so I went back to work for a number of years and just continued to destroy my body and cause more pain and disabilities. In 2019 I decided to reapply after I was let go from a job that I was unable to perform as my health issues continued to get worse. I contacted Greeman & Toomey off of the recommendation of my father. Best. Thing. I. Ever. Did. They took the stress out of the entire process of applying, submitting paperwork and records, staying in contact with everyone involved. The last thing anyone wants when having a disability that’s prevented them from working is added stress. It took quite a bit of time to get approved (due to my young age,) but they got it approved in the end and I have a lot less stress now because I don’t have to fully depend on my Partner I can now contribute to our household (a big issue that I had for myself.) I was able to get the disability for my son with these attorneys help, i didnt have any trouble they asked for all the records filed the appeal for me because i tried getting it without them once i got a letter from social security saying we were over income, i called them within a month i got a 3,000 dollar check in my pocket and the check that id recieve each month of 735 per month for that following month. I then received a second check for the back pay that was owed, my son was put in the needed social security insurance and was accepted, they are currently helping with my youngest son for the same thing due to having congitive disorder and adhd! During both of these i have never had to show in court, file or fill out any paperwork, or anything eles they have done all the paperwork needed for both my children. And i know someone may think oh the people commenting are friends or family but however i am not this law firm is states away from me i live in des moines iowa and i dont personally know any of them. Im very pleased with the law firm their actions and the way my case is being handled, i go to bed at three am and i am up at five am, i am trying to complete college for two different degrees, and take care of two special needs children as well as work i dont know i would b able to handle the stress of the paperwork and denial forms so im glad they are here to help because as a single parent of two special needs children has its own stress!

Not because I shouldn't have received it but because I don't have the knowledge of what Social Security needs or requires to help you be approved. They have the knowledge and the experience and will walk you through every step of the process. Not only that, but after I was approved for SSDI they were there to answer questions I had about the mountain of paperwork I received after being approved even after they had been paid. This speaks volumes to me about how much they truly care about their clients. If you are needing SSDI don't hesitate to call them. It will be the best decision you ever make.
