When my income went down during the pandemic, I knew I was a hare's breath from having my debt overwhelm me. As a responsible person, I was embarrassed and scared about filing for bankruptcy. The decision to file was hard, but, with Kirk's help, actually filing was MUCH easier than I thought it could be. My initial contact was with another lawyer at his firm, but I was assigned to Kirk for my first meeting. He is calm, funny, non-judgmental, efficient and absolutely reassuring. From the first meeting where we discussed my financial situation, he made me feel I was making the right decision. He told me what was going to happen and what records I needed to provide. He always answered my questions quickly, and I know he did a LOT of work on his end to make my Chapter 7 bankruptcy happen. I really trust him - he's dedicated to providing good service and doing the job right. If you're considering bankruptcy to discharge debt, but you're scared of what it will take, talk to Kirk. My husband was in a car accident in 2019. He needed to have neck surgery and was off work for 18 months. He was self employed at the time of the accident. There are so many options you see on TV when making the difficult decision to have to restructure finances. I was in a bind due to divorce and was quickly going under. I ignored the big television guys and did my research on Google and read reviews. Watton Law group stood out and I gave them a call. It was scary at first. I needed some serious advice and subsequently, help. The Watton Law Group has a really great business model, and everyone is really friendly and courteous, starting with the wonderful Shaurice (sp) the receptionist. Tremendously efficient and helpful. Ended up speaking with 3 different Attorneys and each extremely competent and to the point. I made an appointment and worked with a fabulous gentleman, Tanner Gille, who explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Coming off 2 brain surgeries, I got myself in a mess I really didn't understand. Tanner did everything in one meeting and put me in a position to recover. I strongly recommend this law firm. Im still amazed what they did for me in a matter of 18 hours. As I said, their business model is very unique and quite effective. I thought I'd be working with the one Attorney who emailed a reply to me. Then when I called, I spoke with another Attorney and thought I'd be working with her. When I made my appointment with the Attorney who emailed me, I got to their office and ended up with a 3rd Attorney, Tanner Gille. However, he had all of my information from the 2 previous contacts and didn't miss a beat. This guy is not only smart and knowledgeable, but really friendly and was just fantastic. I'm blown away that I'm already on the road to recovery. Going to need my son's help moving forward due to a medical condition, but without Watton Law Group, I'd be an emotional wreck. They saved me. It is very embarrassing to admit to someone that you messed up your finances but having to show a stranger and go in front of a federal judge is even worse. I talked to attorney Tim Hassel, I had a big problem and definitely didn’t want to go thru a bankruptcy, I told Tim my problem and we talked about it he gave me great advice. We talked about calling the creditor that was going to garnish my wages, and basically put me into bankruptcy, I called the creditor, and we came to an agreement on the payoff, which was much better than I expected. In my mind, most attorneys just want money Tim was different. He did not push me into bankruptcy. It was almost like. He really wanted me to work this out without doing it he save me a lot of money, and a lot of time and my credit.
