I was in a horrible motorcycle accident that broke my elbow and had to have breast reconstruction due to the severe road rash I got after sliding down the freeway. As soon as I called Bernstein & Poisson, they were by my bedside at the hospital. They worked really hard on my case from day one. Do to life choices I owed money to a creditor who put a lien on my settlement. Medicaid also wanted their money. Daniel was on the phone for hours working with both of them to lower what they were asking for so that I could walk away with some besides a broken body. The total amount for both was over $300000.00. He settled with them for a total of $22000.00. I appreciate everyone in the office that worked so hard for me. They did an amazing job.

I made my phone call and was very bless to converse with a young lady who I forgot to get her name but she led me to a gentleman by the name of Ryan Kerbow who was very compassionate about my injury. Later that week I received a call from Jessica Flores who is the Legal Assistant for the firm she too was compassionate, detailed and really informative and walked me through the process before I had my zoom meeting with Scott Poisson she was a breath of fresh air. I am revising my review from a 1 Star to a 4 Star. I was originally assigned an attorney who was very helpful, but about midway through representing my case she left her position at the office. My case was then transferred to another attorney named Israel. He introduced himself in the very beginning, but then he completely disappeared. I left messages every few days for nearly 2 months asking for a status update on my case. Not 1 return phone call. At this point I started to regret hiring these guys. Even left messages I wanted a new attorney assigned. Still no calls, even from the partners. It took me threatening to file a complaint with the Bar before I finally received an email from Mr. Bernstein. I honestly believe he (Bernstein) may not have been receiving my complaints about Israel, but once he did I was reassigned to Amber as my new attorney. She was absolutely awesome and had a resolution in a very short period of time and met my expectations completely. If it wasn't for Israel being involved, I would have given this office, and especially Amber 5+ Stars. This turned out to be a really good office, but I would caution you to find out who is going to be assigned to your case first. It totally makes a difference in the how smoothly your case goes. I was treated decent but feel things could have been much better. My first assistant would call me regularly to check up on me. See how i was doing, feeling, any questions and would update me every month. Once she left, all calls stopped and i had to do the checking in and calling. Most of us know retaining an attorney is costly (i would say approx.80 percent of clients are middle class), so we know in the end they will get their fair share , and they did do the leg work, but if someone is at fault and they have the minimum coverage, then i believe their fees should not be set in stone, but negotiated for the client to receive most of what the policies statutes are. Out of the attorney, my employer and myself, i received the less of all, and i'm the one to this day still living with the pain from the accident. Every case is different but fees and cost should not always be black and white, but use Grey at times.
