My wife and I are extremely grateful and thankful for the amazing work of Clare, Mark and the Aloha Immigration team. We can’t thank them enough for their hard work, knowledge and professionalism of getting my wife approved for her Green Card. I can honestly say without Clare, Mark and the Aloha Immigration Team my wife and I would never have been approved. We had a very difficult case which required an I-601 waiver and Clare guided us through every step. She went above and beyond what an attorney would normally do, she came to the Big Island where we live and went over our case, she is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and makes you feel like you’re a part of her family. The case took a while at no fault of Clare but had to be rescheduled for the interview process because of COVID-19, several times during the process we felt like giving up but Clare kept giving us encouragement and telling us to have patience. My wife scared at the interview but with the help and guidance Clare gave her, my wife was able to answer almost every question the Immigration Officer asked of her. When the interview was complete the Immigration Officer approved our case and granted my wife her Green Card on the spot. I know with Covid-19 we are not suppose to be hugging or getting close,, but when my wife was walking out of the office of the Immigration Officer she began to cry tears of joy, I guess Clare couldn’t control herself either and they both embraced each other and cried together. Clare was incredibly professional and helpful consulting on our naturalization application and preparing for the interview. I first asked for her help after our naturalization application for my wife was denied for not meeting physical presence requirement due to a miscalculation. Went through that first application process on our own and thought everything was all good.. even passed the interview. Then the letter comes with the denial so a big downer. Clare helped evaluate what went wrong, gave great and honest advice going forward and never tries to sell you on any unnecessary services. I was very fortunate to have Aloha Immigration represent me on a permanent residency application. I am a Cuban national who has lived in the U S for 53 years. I had some serious issues which could have resulted in my application being declined. Since I live in Hawaii neither Immigration or Immigration law firms have experience in this field. Idk if it’s possible to put into words what ALOHA Immigration just did for me. Or if it can be properly conveyed through a review. I may need the best new word for grateful so whoever reads this will realize there are still real people who can help you. As of of mid-March 2021, I was validated. Accepted. Welcomed. Documented, legalized n freed w a green card. After over 15 yrs of living like alien life, I no longer feel like I don’t ‘belong’ here. I guess though, that was the whole purpose of the term alien. For those under that stigma, the spotlight is harsh. Hence the dark life. Attorney, Clare Hanusz took our marriage based AOS case, spoke w my husband and I realistically while putting my mind at ease. She was reassuring, lmk she has a great team of people, specifically w regards to Mark Hanusz, who doesn’t just know his job well but in my case had to talk me through at certain times-sensitive n crucial points. Mine was a long journey w too many ups&downs. More downs right bf I found AI but I see now those rough moments were meant to connect and eventually smooth out. When I retained their services, I was likely desperate for real help w unfortunate events still fresh, so my outlook wasn’t very good when it came to anything immigration. Plus it can be frustrating when most people don’t fully understand the process or are insensitive or ignorant about it, and for me I avoided that topic all together. Crossing this path w Clare&Mark renewed faith there. It was clear they understood how these situations affect individuals/families. So there was that empathy too. I didn’t wanna feel generalized or judged. They always explained things patiently for me(many times more than once or twice bc I’d get flustered). Looking back now, I must’ve needed people I knew I could completely trust bc you worry about all..the ways things could end up n how it’d affect your family&kids’ lives. Where I lost sleep mostly. It’s their job and they’re very good at it, but my experience w them made me realize the best lawyers are maybe the ones who try to become the client, they made it as important to them as they knew it was to me. W/out that element, it’s easy to still feel very much alone in this type of circumstance. And I’m just thankful I had professional humans beside me. My experience working w AI was entirely positive, but after finally getting my green card, I got something else I didn’t realize was missing for awhile. Just feeling happy n free again.
