The Lawyer's give excellent advice and referrals to addresses your concerns and needs. It good to know that's someone cares about what you are facing and you are not alone. This place is amazing! I cannot say enough positive things about the staff who work here and all of the great work they do for their clients. I have used them for 3 different cases in the past, one divorce, one custody and then another for parenting time modification and they were so diligent when working on my cases and kept me very well informed the entire time. I recommend them to everyone who may need legal assistance but cannot financially afford to hire another attorney.

I have been very happy so far with my help from Legal Aid! I could not be going through a divorce at this time without the representation of my attorney/attorneys! Thankfully, my current job status allowed me to qualify for this help. With my income, I have no means to pay for an attorney! It has been a little complicated because my case was originally handled by an assistant, with whom I went into great detail. THEN my case was assigned to an attorney who I have only met briefly to sign the actual documents. She then went on maternity leave, so I now have another person with whom I have to explain everything and get to know. I understand these things happen and my latest attorney is doing her best to familiarize herself with the case. Because my husband lives in another county, it has made the process more difficult! I very much appreciate the attention that my case has received and pray that the divorce can be handled without going to mediation and being prolonged, as that only makes it harder on everyone involved! I am confident that my lawyer will continue to give the best legal advice and support possible, as I go through this alone and afraid! Thank you Legal Aid for your services!

I believe this is a good place for someone to call that needs legal help that has low income unfortunately for me I don't qualify. Please if you need legal representation and you have no money to afford an attorney may it be a civil matter or an eviction matter or even a divorce or family matter give them a call they will work for you not against you

Legal Aid of Western Michigan. I was offered advice by them based on my eligibility. That advice was great. It didn't help me win the case. Nothing could have helped me win this case because I was sidelined and with the plaintiff not even showing up , the judge was so upset he slammed the gravel, the COVID put the final knife in to aid in my now homelessness and recent criminal record. I'm sure my greasy landlord knew they'd slip way through the legal loophole called " dummy vs our lawyers & $$ " who has time for an appeal on a civil matter involving $300.00 embezzled from the CERA APP.
