I was referred to Lamarca Law group after I was involved in a rear end collision. There was significant damage to my vehicle and initially my neck and back felt stiff and sore. The other drivers insurance company made a quick offer to fix my vehicle and give me a small settlement for my pain and suffering. Initially their offer sounded fair but as time passed my pain grew worse and started to affect my daily activities. My experience with LaMarca Law Group and Chad Knapp began as a result of the absolute most trying time of my life. I had just lost my first born son in a motorcycle accident. Due to the circumstances a friend sent me a list of personal injury lawyers and insisted I needed one. The first call I was told I had a case, but the gentleman would discuss it with a partner and call me back if he decided to take it. The second call ended when I was told I didn't have a case. The third call I probably had a case, and could call back if I wanted to pursue it. It was after the fourth call a decision was made to go forward with this. And I don't even recall what Mr. Knapp said to me, but it was how he spoke to me. I didn't feel like a 'case'. He spoke with a softness that was suitable for the situation and acknowledged the pain I was in. He spoke about laws, and codes and facts but delivered it with empathy and comfort. It was the same for the next 12 months, every call or email was relayed with care and concern and ended with him asking if I had any questions or needed anything. During periods where things were moving slow I received check in calls or an email from Stephanie Martinez, which she always closed with "Have a great weekend". The difficulties I experienced just from losing my son alone, dealing with an unexpected law suit shouldn't have been so 'easy' for me. When my 7-year-old daughter and I were victims of a high-speed rollover crash where the other party was entirely at fault, I thought it would be an open-and-shut matter of filing a claim with the other party's insurance. As I started to try to navigate the process of obtaining medical records, dealing with multiple insurance companies, laws of multiple states (my accident happened out of state) and dealing with ongoing injuries (physical therapy for me and therapy for my daughter's PTSD) I realized I was in way over my head and needed the help of some professionals. I hadn't even gotten to negotiations. Luckily, I had a colleague who was also dealing with the aftermath of an accident who passed along the contact info for his attorneys, LaMarca Law Group. I made an appointment (shout out to Chad Knapp) and am extremely happy that I did. We discussed the accident, went over my options, and I turned them loose. They handled everything. I can't tell you how wonderful a feeling that is after such a stressful event. We kept in regular contact, and I never had to wonder what the status of my claim was. At every fork in the road we discussed options, and I was never pressured into any kind of decision. We ended up with a settlement that we were very happy with, and even after that LaMarca continued to work on our behalf to make an underinsurance claim with my insurance company. Settlement negotiation is a long process, but this still beat my expectation for timing every step of the way. Just as when you hope you never have to go to the doctor, you are happy to have a great one when you do. Where do I begin? I have so many good things to say about my experience working with this firm and Mr. Chad Knapp, I could probably write a book. From the very beginning Mr. Knapp treated me with so much respect and kindness.
