I always purchase this coverage "just in case" and recommend that my team do the same. When I started my bankruptcy, I totally forgot about it...until I didn't. I confirmed on the website that my attorney was a participant and called. The associate who assisted me was super nice and very knowledgeable. My case was converted to ARAG , my payments were done, and the case was filed expeditiously. It was all so easy! Great attorney, great coverage (saved me thousands), great people. I couldn't have asked for more.

I recently signed up for ARAG Legal Insurance. Primarily, I was interested in legal services for a Will and Revocable Trust. ARAG provided me with names of reputable, experienced attorneys in my area. The process was seamless. I found a wonderful attorney who contacted me right away, and I am in the process of developing these legal documents. I am very pleased with the services offered by ARAG and I am thrilled to have a wonderful attorney 's help in this process.

I signed up for ARAG with the idea of using it for drawing up a will but when my daughter got into a car accident, I tapped into the service and it's been great. The ARAG reps were so helpful as was the lawyer I consulted with via phone and the lawyer I retained. I would never have considered getting a lawyer for a moving violation but having Cynthia (Sora) advocate for my daughter has been a great relief to us both. I work in HR and let every new hire know about my positive experiences with ARAG when I go over the benefits. I think it's a great offering for people, the cost monthly is nominal and even more so in comparison to what is offered to individuals and their families.

Insurance is something you hope you never need but you are so happy to have paid for it when you finally do need it. ARAG has enabled me to talk with competent attorneys at no charge to discuss my legal situations without having to find and meet with an actual attorney in my area. The advice allowed me to understand my legal situation and determine if I had a good case worth pursuing. Their common services that everyone eventually needs (update wills, POAs, divorces, etc.) are provided for very small fees or no fees. It's all well worth the small monthly insurance cost.

I have used ARAG for a number of issues and was very satisfied with the response of the ARAG staff and the lawyers I chose for a few things I needed. First, I needed a trust .. that was very easy and cost just the recording fee with the city. I also needed assistance with a contractor that worked on my residence. That is being prepared now. I also needed a question answered and the ARAG staff responded back to me quickly and we chatted over the phone and took care of my concerns. I also used their fill and print forms that are quite handy and when completed are in word and pdf. I also used their estate planner doc.. not sure if they have it now but it set your exec up w all the necessary details about accounts and contacts in a brief outline. The lawyers have been responsive and professional and timely.

Purchased ARAG legal insurance via my employer group coverage. I only used it once so far. I think the website and the telephone services are great so far. I can quickly get connected on the phone, get comprehensive coverage information on the website, and get matched to attorneys in a timely manner. Be sure to talk to all matched attorneys before committing to one. Some might have better domain knowledge of your specific case than others.

ARAG has plenty of qualified attorneys who are very helpful. The only issue is that some attorneys are not motivated to call us back because they are not paid at the rate they should be for all the work they do. It took a few emails and phone calls before getting an attorney that would take our simple home buying case - some did not call us back, some indicated they no longer work with ARAG and some took a few days before they called us back. Some even responded that “they would understand if we already found another attorney” and basically made us feel like the work benefit I pay for is like wearing a scarlet letter or asking for pro bono. The attorney that we ended up working with shared that he participates in ARAG because he likes to help people, not the money - aka getting paid well under the rate for our state. We prefer to compensate people fairly for their work, not make them work hard at a discounted rate. It was a bit of a surprise, really.

I knew I needed to have a trust and wills setup and when I did it for my father it cost a LOT of money. I used ARAG and by doing so the fee was significantly less and worth it. Trusts and wills use a standard form so there is nothing complicated but you need an attorney to perform the right steps in the right order. I'm willing to pay for that but not a premium as its all standard fare. ARAG was well worth having to do this and the attorney I selected was top shelf. Nothing fancy, just a get it done kind of attorney which is want I needed.

The ARAG Legal Plan helped me find a very good attorney to help me set up a trust. The cost was covered in full except for a small amount - less than $400.00. I highly recommend this plan to anyone because you never know when you will need a good attorney. And the cost per month is very reasonable!

I have had ARAG legal insurance for years. You can pick the lawyer you want from they're plan attorneys and they have a ton of online forms and contracts that you can use whenever you need. I have used them on a few legal incidents and they always covered 100% without question. If ARAG is offered through your employer you should definitely sign up. For the price you are never going to have an insurance that provides more peace of mind and value.

One session to meet to discuss my needs, a second session to sign the paperwork. I only paid a small filing fee and ARAG covered the rest. Highly recommend this service!

You may think you don't have that many issues where you may need legal advice, but believe me when you do it is well worth the investment. I was going through a very bad separation, my son’s mother wasn’t allowing me to have a relationship with him. And in all honesty, I couldn’t afford an attorney. I talked to several attorneys that were on the ARAG Network. In the end, ARAG staff members worked with me and I was able to get an out of network attorney of my choice. ARAG paid 28 hours of attorney time! Who does that!!? The attorney that I chose is a bulldog, so I am very thankful for that. Right now I get to visit my son every other weekend in a different state. If it was up to his mom, I wouldn’t have any contact with him. But my attorney is still fighting for me and my son and in the end, I will have my son back in Colorado with me! My time with my son wouldn’t have been possible without this legal insurance! Thank you ARAG!

My family have used ARAG Legal Insurance for years. I am happy to say that we have only had a few instances where we needed to request assistance and access to their services. The process of requesting assistance could not have been easier. I called the member service phone number and a very knowledgeable representative spent a few minutes listening to my situation and then explained the coverages that my plan offered. The representative then offered to create a Care Assist file that included my legal service request, a list of the services and coverages available and a detailed list of attorney's that are experienced in the specific type of law, that the request was for. In each circumstance, I was ablate locate an attorney and secure them under my plan to assist in resolving my legal concerns. The attorneys provided were knowledgable, professional and very prompt in response and the services rendered. I have used ARAG Legal Insurance coverage to resolve the following: 1.) A dispute with a roofing company, that was resolved in my favor. 2.) A dispute with the supply company of that roofing firm, they heavily damaged my driveway with their truck, that was resolved in my favor. 3.) I am currently working with and ARAG attorney to assist with a probate issue in a state other than the one I reside in. I think it is safe to say that I am extremely satisfied with ARAG and their network of attorney's. RG

Its nice to have legal insurance. Most of the time when i use this I am able to find a lawyer that will work on my case and it costs me less money than it would typically cost. Sometimes I am unable to find an in network attorney but ARAG will negotiate with local attorneys to give me a better rate. ARAG Legal Insurance is amazing. I have had it for many years and never had to use it. However, when our son passed away unexpectedly we needed to revise our trust and will. I contacted ARAG and they immediately put me in touch with multiple attorneys who specialize in these matters. But more importantly than that, when I explained what happened the lady on the phone was so compassionate. The next day we received a huge bouquet of flowers with condolences from the company. To me that is unheard of. Aside from great service they have amazing people and policies.

I signed up for ARAG through my job several years ago, not sure what prompted it, but glad I did. I was able to do my uncontested divorce for free minus filing fees. Also did my will through that lawyer for free. I wasn't impressed with that lawyer for another case, so I found someone different and he has been fantastic. ARAG has been a lifesaver with my legal issues. I will definitely continue paying for this service. My only complaint is they don't pay much for good attorneys. My first attorney was super cheap, so the insurance covered it all my divorce, but he didn't deal with the hard cases, and the office was non-responsive in regards to the 3rd case I contacted him about. I found a great lawyer also in-network, but because he's so good, he charges so much more, so it was really hard to afford him. I think they need to reevaluate how much they're paying their attorneys. I'd pay a little more each month for the peace of mind that I would be able to afford a retainer later with the savings that ARAG is providing me.

We were both really scared of the consequences, and feeling completely helpless, until I remembered I had signed up for ARAG Legal Insurance the year prior, as one of the benefits offered by my employer at the time I was hired. So, I called ARAG, having no idea of what to ask. They treated me with extreme courtesy, explained the whole process and quickly referred me to a list of attorneys. Even though ARAG has a very user friendly app, they did not bother to help me over the phone and email. I felt like it was a customer-tailored prompt response and follow-up. Everything was smooth and very professional. I contacted one of the attorneys and we received immediate help. The attorney was excellent and his office staff helped us throughout the process with outstanding customer service, and we practically had no out-of-pocket expenses. My experience with ARAG, through my employer, is such a great benefit to me. You tell the case taker your situation and they then find attorneys in your area. It’s good that they provide you with a list as this cuts down on your leg work. All you have to do is start calling attorneys from their concise list, find the one you like, and schedule your free 30 minute consultation. And, I might add that all of my consultations have been good. Just have your questions ready. Lawyers are friendly and to the point if they can’t help you they will point you in the right direction. I really didn’t know all the options I had with this insurance plan until my son received a ticket for a kid driving into him when he was parking in a high school parking lot. I did not believe the ticket issued for “not signaling” into his parking spot was justified by the law. I remembered I had this insurance plan. I got on their website, created an account and was shocked at all the legal options I had! I found the traffic violations section and investigated and within thirty minutes, I had been referred to an Attorney, spoke with a customer service representative and was informed the costs would be fully covered. Not all of their options are covered 100% like the traffic violations but I felt to have a Subject Matter Expert on my team was vital to this fight. ARAG has helped my husband and I with an unexpected legal issue we encountered. Truth is you never know what life is going to throw at you and having this legal protection made a world of difference! They were always ready to answer my questions. I have also established a trust account with 0 out of pocket! If the attorney they refer asks for more money out of pocket etc, call ARAG directly to make sure out of pocket costs makes sense for your case. ARAG covers a reasonable number of hours for most situations- in our case those hours were enough! Of course every situation is different and some things in court could drag out more than ARAG would cover, so always ask ARAG. In my case all we had to pay for was court fees. We saved thousands in attorney fees. Thank you ARAG for having our back!!

I have been very fortunate to have access to ARAG Legal. They helped provide a great list of lawyers to help with an estate I was named as Personal Representative for. The DIY docs were overhauled in the last few years and it is easier to find material now. It seems like there are fewer blank DIY docs overall, but I have been able to cover most of my situations easily this way. In one scenario I needed an out-of-state attorney for a matter related to very remote farmland. In this case ARAG wasn't able to find me a lawyer in their service anywhere in that area, which was ultimately disappointingly. What they did offer to help with was a free consultation, and other resources. They couldn't get me all the way to a lawyer, but they did their best to help, including personalized communication to help. Overall I am grateful for their help, and recommend anyone that has access should become a member.

The interaction with ARAG worked quite well. While getting the claim started was a bit cumbersome, the phone services were quite helpful and responsive. I was able to identify an appropriate attorney in my area. In our particular case the cost of coverage ~15$/month was far cheaper than the attorney feeds for ~20 hours or more worth of work. The attorney that we worked with was responsive and knowledgeable for my needs in estate planning. I was particularly impressed with the very good communication with this attorney, though my experiences with some pf the ARAG attorneys has left me unhappy because of poor response.

Love this service. I get it through my work and pay about 10 dollars a month I think. I recently saw an attorney about my deposit at an apartment, name change, and creating a will. It was all covered so I didn't have to pay anything and otherwise it would have been thousands of dollars to get help with all of these items. It was incredible. I would suggest continually asking for additional names if you are not having luck with the original list until you find a good fit. The customer service does seem to be on point when you call in which makes up for any bumps in the process. I have a 33% hit rate with getting someone knowledgeable enough with ARAG. First time I phoned, I was calling to know my options for buying a property with my daughter, and what were the legal ramifications for each option. The person I was connected with was terrible. She did not know answers, did not offer to research, and I left the call with little more knowledge than came into the call. The next day, I decided to call again, and this time I was connected with a very knowledgeable person, who knew answers to my questions immediately. It was definitely a great experience, and I left the call knowing exactly what I should do. The third time I called was about a tax situation in completing my income tax return. As with the first call, the person I got was terrible. He did not know the answers to my questions, and did not offer to find out. The call was a waste of time. For all three calls, I could tell in the first 30 seconds if the person to which I was connected would be a benefit. My advice is that if you realize the person to which you have been connected is not the right person, either wrap of the call quickly, or ask to be connected to someone else.....or call back and hope you are connected to someone similar to my second encounter.

This is the first year I got this plan and immediately had a need to deal with Real estate transaction within a month of my plan start. I just had to call and they logged a case. I already did some research and shortlisted an attorney. They sent the case profile to the attorney before I called them and the attorneys were very professional. I needed two attorneys to deal with two different fields: one with financial matters and the other with guardianship. Since I partly pay monthly insurance ( mostly covered by my employer) for ARAG service, I contacted ARAG customer service and discussed my problems. If certain situations happen to come up in my life like a traffic ticket or child support, I feel secure knowing that I have an attorney if I need one. I buy the more premium service. The one thing you still have to pay for though is trial representation. I wish that fact had been made more clear from the beginning. I wish trial representation was covered by arag, although you do get a discounted rate of the lawyer’s hourly fee for trial representation. I really had to search the site to figure that out, after my attorney told me that. They don’t make that very clear.

I called for assistance with a minor traffic ticket with a court appearance scheduled in Moreno Valley, CA. I first spoke w/ a helpful phone attorney who suggested I use my ARAG benefits to find an attorney to appear in court on my behalf, so that I wouldn't have to miss work time. The availability of phone attorneys alone makes ARAG a worthwhile benefit. 📲 Initially the lists I received from ARAG showed a few offices in the Riverside area only, and I was frustrated when the receptionists at some offices took my name and CaseAssist Confirmation #, only to have someone else from the office call back and advise of fees such as $150 above what my plan covered, for "travel and photocopying." I requested other coverage areas from ARAG in order to have a broader list of attorneys and a better chance of finding an attorney who could and would take my case. I am happy to have made that request, since I was led to an office located in Rancho Cucamonga, but the attorney was willing to travel to Moreno Valley with no additional fees! 👍 I am so pleased with the smooth handling of my case, from the ease of communication with the attorney and his office, to his appearance and negotiation in court on my behalf! Since this was my first time using ARAG Legal, I have communicated my satisfaction with this attorney office to ARAG, as well as recommended his office to my coworkers who also have ARAG, should a need arise.
