Attorney David is a phenomenal attorney and such a pleasant person to speak to. He goes above and beyond to represent his clients. He makes sure to hear your story and help in all ways that he can. If you’re looking for the best criminal defense lawyer in the Boston area, you would be crazy not to hire David. David is extremely professional and knows how to navigate the court system, judges, prosecution, potential plea offers and most importantly, how to get cases dismissed. I was facing 4 felony charges (high level details below) and we successfully got 3 completely dismissed and took a CWOF on one of them. This was absolute best case scenario, especially because the prosecution had plenty of evidence (including video) to find guilty on the case we took the continuance. The charges were: 1. Cruelty to animals 2. A&B 3. Driving on suspended license - habitual offender 4. Theft from a building The cruelty charge was completely dismissed during trial. A&B was dismissed the morning of trial Driving on a suspended license was dropped, as was the habitual offender charge. We agreed to a marked lane violation charge. Took a continuance without a finding on the theft from a building charge with one year probation. Couldn’t more highly recommend David - you can’t go wrong hiring him if you need one of the best criminal defense attorneys in Boston.

Our mid 20’s year old daughter had no prior history with the law, no prior arrests, no criminal charges or record. She was arrested January 2018, imprisoned, not allowed a phone call and charged with three (3) domestic violence crimes. One charge had a potential conviction prison term of 1-5 years. The charges were false allegations. I was contacted by her court appointed attorney after my daughter had spent three days in Framingham State prison. She was released the next morning at her arraignment hearing on personal recognizance. While we were relieved without bail, it did not seem to align with the arrest charges being brought. There was one additional pre-trial hearing some weeks later with no progress and nothing reported. The public defender appeared competent but was so busy she had to reschedule three (3) office appointments my daughter had scheduled to discuss her case. The next hearing scheduled at the end of April was some four (4) months after being charged. After three (3) months and unable to meet with her court appointed attorney, not understanding the defense strategy nor knowing what her attorney and the prosecutor had or had not discuss, my daughter thought it best to seek out a highly regarded, well experienced criminal defense specialists with good outcome results, private law firm. After much research and receiving recommendations from other attorneys we decided to review the case with and interview the Yannetti Criminal Defense Law Firm. I first spoke with Attorney Greg Johnson at the firm by phone. He asked very specific material questions to provide a case overview, history and some background. He was professional, engaging and action oriented. Greg had the office staff schedule an initial meeting. We met with Attorney David Yannetti on Monday after our first office call on Friday. David answered all of our questions, provided a detailed process road map, initial defense strategy, courses of action ahead and how he would begin representing our daughter. I was impressed as David cited a number of case law examples that were relevant to the specific charges during this first meeting. Greg would represent our daughter at the pretrial hearing as David was previously scheduled for a trial. David would appear with my daughter thereafter and through trial. After our meeting with David, my daughter decided we should hire the firm. She made a good choice that we supported. A few weeks later Greg met our daughter at court. He had a number of conversations with our daughter and the prosecutor prior to the hearing. Greg seemed to be familiar and on good terms with all the court employees. On court date one (1) being represented by David and Greg the charges were dropped and the case was dismissed/disposed. We are grateful for this best and unexpected outcome. The long 4 months of worry and stress was lifted from ours family’s shoulders. I was charged for shoplifting at a Macy's store in May of 2012 and was scheduled for a magistrate hearing in April of 2013. I didn't contact Yannetti's office until the very same day of my hearing. From the moment I called his office and explained my situation to the paralegal, Lisa Yager, as felt as though she took a personal interest and a genuine concern in my case. It seemed to me as though she was jumping through hoops to attend to my needs (truly a very warm and caring individual). As if fate, Mr. Yannetti contacted me shortly after my intial call advising me that he would be in the very same courthouse with another client around the same time as I was scheduled and offered his services for a fraction of the price due to the circumstances. WHY YOU SHOULD TRUST MY REVIEW I am an attorney who was falsely charged with a crime. As a lawyer, I frequently refer people to other lawyers that are outside my area of practice. So, when I needed to hire a lawyer to represent me in the most important case of my life, I relied on my knowledge and skills to find the best one. And that lawyer is David Yannetti. WAS DAVID THE RIGHT CHOICE? At my first court appearance, I was of course nervous. I wondered if I made the right choice. Afterall, any lawyer can make themselves look good on their website. But at my first court appearance, I knew that David was the right choice. When one of his employees appeared in court that day, the court security, bailiffs, and other lawyers all asked where David Yannetti was. They spoke highly of him as someone they liked very much. This gave me confidence that I made the right choice. MY BIGGEST WEAKNESS My biggest weakness in hiring a lawyer is that I wanted to be active in the defense of my case. But I had to realize that criminal law is not my area of law. In my area of law, I know my stuff better than anybody else. And when somebody tries to tell me how to do my job, I know how misguided that person is. David took the time to assure me that I needed to rely on him. So I did just that. I backed off and went on with my life. I stopped worrying and left the case in his hands. And it worked. My case was dismissed in 2023 without having to go to a jury trial. MY LIFE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN To say that my life was turned upside down is an understatement. Being arrested and charged with a crime that I did not commit was a wakeup call. I previously believed that if you were charged with a crime, you must be guilty of something. I was wrong. I learned firsthand that an innocent person can be arrested and charged with a crime––even in the United States. That’s so hard to believe and accept. The law says that criminal defendants are innocent until proven guilty. But that is not true. The system treats you like a criminal and they refer to the person accusing you of the crime as the “victim” when the so-called victim is the person committing a crime with a false accusation. The criminal courthouse is a horrible place to be. You never want to be there. But if you end up there, just know that you are not alone. David not only cares about you as a person, but he has an incredible reputation and great respect from the District Attorney’s Office and the judges. I am sorry that you are at a point in your life where you find yourself reading this review. But know this. There is an end. The attorney you hire is the most important decision you will make for a successful outcome. I was lucky and blessed that I had David on my side. I wish you the best.
