When we first began, it was rough. I spent weeks in the dark not knowing anything, not even why my job had canceled my workers comp appointments and it was frustrating that my team of lawyers didn’t know either. I hadn't spoke with my attorney for the first 3 months of retention. The communication was bad between me and this office for the first 3/4 months. Many emails, text and phone calls left ignored and unreturned. I contemplated paying the fees and obtaining a new team. On top of that my attorney at the time. who thankfully is longer with the company, gave me a 3 minute deposition prep 10 minutes before my deposition. I could hear the lack of care and effort in his voice. A good attorney will properly prep their client, in order to obtain the best results for our party. The only advice that was given was to say “I don’t remember” when in doubt. Although it was helpful advice I was unprepared for the questions that were asked and ultimately that plays a very large part in your total compensation. As a lawyer that is negligent and can be seen as malpractice. On another note, immediately after my deposition my lawyer and the company separated and my case began to pick up traction. Ashley who was not a lawyer at that time was my only and reliable source of communication. She began to pick up the pieces and didn’t look back from there, she kept me up to date, checked on me as needed and had a great attitude throughout the time. She’s not only very professional and diligent but also kind and compassionate that’s what’s important in times like these. If my case had ended the way it started, I would give 1 star. If my case had started the way it ended I would give 5 stars.

My case was shuffled around to four different attorneys and three different paralegals during the year and half of my entire case. I was constantly pushed to settle instead of going to trial because the attorneys didn’t want to fight. Eventually my last attorney was able to get a settlement for me with a reasonable amount, however due to all the attorney shuffling, I also missed another date to pursue another case. Overall, I wouldn’t use this firm again if I had to start all over, I feel like I was just another case in a stack.
