I had a pleasure with working with Lance. I am amazed by his effort he put in on this case and had a 200% better outcome than expected. I was automatically placed at a level 1 due to being pulled over while the kids were in the car along with my spouse at the time, this was back in 2020. I appeared for my court date on 11/23. He made the process smooth as can be and did everything he could to get me the least amount of time etc. Normally Gaston county likes to give up to 4 months of jail time, but this wasn't the case for me. I had a good clean record and driving history, I followed his plan the best I could. I blew a 0.8 and it's unfortunate that the only reason that I was stopped, was because I was driving over the speed limit. Lance provides you with a well thought out plan that he requires you to complete, unfortunately, I could not complete the inpatient alcohol services, because I believe if I did I would not have gotten the little time I did receive. I am free to write this post, and not locked up at this time so this should tell you something. He's the best! I know every case is different and every outcome is different, but I want people to know that with the right attorney, such as Lance you are able to possibly keep your job. Just a little background, I have never been in trouble before and this was my 1st DUI and it was an automatic level one. Good driving record, no criminal history. I followed his plan as well except for the being in the inpatient alcoholism program. With this being said, I received 10 days of jail time, which can be done on the weekends and or holidays that I do not have to work, 18 months of supervised probation and I have to wear an alcohol monitor for 28 more days because I previously worn one for a few months already. This is a blessing for me to be able to continue working and being there for my kids. Everyone makes mistakes and when you have someone by your side as trustworthy and as loyal as Mr. Lance Williams, just know, you are not alone and he will fight for you till the very end. Without the right representation, it could have been WORST!!! Thank you Mr. Lance Williams, I will continue to bring people that need your services in your direction.

Highly recommend. We have only used Minick Law for all of our speeding needs. My husband has got a speeding ticket with each mustang he has gotten *sigh* but Minick has been amazing in helping each time we needed them. They stayed in communication almost flawlessly through the duration of my case, and the only time they didn't there was a scheduling issue between my work schedule and their office hours. So that's not even entirely their fault, and that was resolved within two weeks, if I recall correctly. Back on September 1, 2012, my oldest son Daniel was stopped by NC State Police and booked on DUI charges a few miles north of Marion NC on highway 40 West. He was confined to the Marion Correctional facility for ten days until my wife and I, residents of Wake Forest, had the first opportunity to drive the 4 and one half hours to bail out our son. I was falsely accused of DWI last July simply for failure to burn headlamps at night. I am 62 years old and this is the first time I have ever had an encounter with a law officer in which I had to perform field sobriety tests. This officer was aggressively seeking an arrest. After passing the Breath Test and, in my opinion, the field tests, I was STILL arrested and charged. I was devastated. James Minick was the only lawyer of the four I interviewed to confidently tell me we had a good chance of getting a not guilty verdict. To our surprise, we lost our District court case. Mr. Minick knew this was an injustice and encouraged me to appeal to Superior Court. It was long and grueling but we won my case in front of a Jury. NOT GUILTY!!! I visited Asheville with my parents in December 2012. After running some errands I was returning to where they were when I became stuck on the side of the road. Long story short I was arrested for dwi. Despite the fact that there was no alcohol or drugs in my car, on my person, and as it would turn out in my system. I was arrested and spent 4 nights in jail. When I was bailed out I expected the charges to be dropped. They werent. I didn't expect this charge to be advanced too far. As fate would have it the law enforcement officer (leo hereinafter) was zealously driving my prosecution but I did not know this and went cheap on my defense. In this instance my legal experience worked against me. Seeing the lack of evidence against me I didn't think that the state would keep the charge. They did. Two years when the blood results came back I felt confidence the case would soon be dropped as there was no alcohol or any other "drug" in my system. Only a very common, non controlled substance, a rx medication that has no imparting effects according to the label without the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating drugs. My bargain attorney let this go on for 2.5 years until we were finally scheduled for a trial. The bargain attorney might as well not been there, and the judge returned a decision of guilty. I fired my previous attorney. I had seen Attorney Minick earlier that day while I was waiting , he was defend another client of his. He was very impressive. But this was hours before my trial and I hadn't caught his name. As I was walking out of the courthouse I actually ran into his client. I got his name and number. I retained the services of Attorney Minick and the jury trial the other attorney told me might take months or a year to schedule. After a couple of weeks Attorney Minick was ready for trial. He was amazing. He delivered long arguments without notes and didn't miss a beat. He has a humble nature about him that gives off a presence in the court room. But don't he fooled He is not too humble to use the Leo's own words and field manuals against them. Trapping them in their words. He has a way with the jury. Really connects with them. Attorney Minick impressed me beyond description. I'm sure there are other attorneys in Asheville who are competent. I'm sure some could be hired for less money. But I don't think any are his equal in the court room. The man is highly intelligent, hard working, has obviously done his homework and by all evidence is an admirable person as well, a great husband and father. Don't waste time trying to find another attorney. His rates are reasonable and his work is superb. In my opinion I had the best legal defense for my matter as is humanly possible.
