From my first phone call to final resolution I was treated with courtesy, concern, and consideration. Mr Connolly was my attorney and he is fantastic. When I had spoken with Anna Hamrick at Grimes Teich Anderson LLP about my situation and health issues, she had given me a list of things I would need to complete and what would happen after each phase I need to get done. I had followed all her recommendations and worked closely with her assistance Emily Brown in filling out all forms and gathering all documentation and started with the process to file my claim. Emily was a great help and was available when needed to ask question. After following all the instructions from Anna Hamrick and with the help from Emily Brown my claim was handled and approved in a timely manner. (Months sooner than what I told to expect) I feel my approval prosses was awarded sooner than what I was told to expect was due to the instruction and direction I was given from Anna and Emily. After the Award was given in my case was done the follow-up to make sure I understood everything and to answer any final question and made sure I understood everything in the award letter. When I was injured on the job I began the Worker's Compensation process to address the injury which proved to be much more severe than I first had thought. I assumed that I would be able to do this without the benefit of an attorney as I had a great relationship with my employer and they had quickly acknowledged that the injury was work related and never failed to express concern for my health. Nevertheless, after having two major surgeries and anticipating a third as well as still being unable to return to work successfully, I realized that I needed some guidance in navigating the worker's compensation system. The relationship with my employer became more complicated and I was encouraged by my family to find someone that was not emotionally involved to represent my interests. Mr. Teich and the personnel at Grimes Teich Anderson guided me through this process, assisted me in getting my medical needs met in a timely fashion, constantly keeping me aware of the progress in my case, and at all times treating me with respect and dignity. Mr. Teich patiently explained every step I could anticipate regarding the process of my worker's compensation claim from beginning to settlement. I was encouraged to put my medical needs at the forefront of my concerns and was able to do that because I knew that the complicated process of my worker's compensation claim was in good and knowledgeable hands. Henry Teich is an outstanding attorney who aggressively represented me in a complex workers compensation injury case. Hank has been handling WC injury cases for may years and knows all the new NC statutes concerning WC! He is responsive via telephone and E-mail, and if he can’t answer the phone (if he’s with another client or in court), he returns calls in a timely manner, even after normal business hours! His staff was available via telephone and E-mail as well. Hank took a personal interest in me as a person and client, and was genuinely concerned about my initial injury, resulting surgery, arduous rehabilitation, and eventual settlement. Speaking of settlements, Hank did not rush me into any settlement. To the contrary, he advised there was no rush to settle even though he doesn’t get paid until the case is over! Dealing with Tod and team was nothing short of fantastic. I have been a veteran since 2004 and dealing with the VA ever since. I was referred to Tod, and he spelled it out on what the process would look like, timeframe and everything from the very beginning and stuck to it (within VA parameters and they’re ability to drag the process out). I thought I would do it myself before we met Tod and hindsight being 20/20 no way I pull this off myself given time constraints and lack of knowledge about the process (even after 15 years in the system). With no one to turn to, I was asked to give Grimes & Teich a call. Mr. Henry Teich, understood what I was faced with and went to work on my case immediately. Anyone who works for a Workers Comp company. does not have your best interest. They are paid by the company they work for. They will even try to get you to sign a waiver, paying you a fraction of what you are entitled to. With time running out, Mr. Teich put a stop to their underhanded attempts to cut my benefits. I would have been forced to pay for thousands of dollars in medical expenses out of my pocket, for the rest of my life. Mr. Teich has had my back since April 2005.
