My experience with The Grow Group was a tremendous help in learning about the opportunities that I can do within the careers of banking. Learning various soft skills about the banking industry is a great starting point in the start of my career and has helped me attain a position at a bank in my local area. My career counselor, Sarah Wilson, is phenomenal! She constantly helped me find banking position in my area that accommodated to my upcoming school schedule. I am thankful of The Grow Group and excited to start my new position!!!

We chose The Grow Group as a VR coach for our son and have had the pleasure of working with Nervin. He is down to earth, friendly, and great at doing what he does! He was able to secure OJT experience with two mechanic related businesses for our son. We also had them do a skills assessment to identify his interests and what skills he has and would need to learn for futures career paths and this was very informative. Highly recommend!!!

The Grow Group and Ashlyn were an amazing organization to work with. They were the first group to help my step son gain employment. (We worked with several.) He has maintained his employment since and we know we still have them available to him if we were to run into any problems! Ashlyn is fabulous at what she does and really goes out of her way and loves what she does!! Will recommend this company to anyone with a special needs loved one needing some help with navigating the workforce and helping to find a job that is a good fit on both parts that really gives purpose and responsibility! Update: We had some issues with his last employer and we connected with Ashlyn again and she provided support to get him a new place that is a better fit his needs! My job coach is Bryan Flores and he's been amazing to work with he helped me believe in myself when I didn't believe in me at the time. Bryan helped me realize I could accomplish that dream that it was never impossible. Because of that I got a job working as a teacher at KinderCare Education. I have to begin by thanking Nervin and the rest of The Grow Group team. They have been there for me every step of the way of my journey as I search for meaningful employment. Without the unwavering support of this terrific organization I would not have been able to find an OJT like the one Nervin was able to connect me with. My OJT with the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (FCIC) at USF was quite challenging, but at the same time an extremely rewarding experience. It allowed me to build on my strengths like my writing and communication skills, etc. Thanks to my supervisor and others at FCIC I was also able to make notable improvements with respect to my weaknesses like team building. FCIC also helped me to develop other valuable job skills like developing a proficiency with Excel and other useful programs. Nervin is by far the best job coach that anyone can ask for. He regularly exhibits the highest degree of professionalism. Also, Nervin is an all around excellent communicator, not to mention supportive, and he is often prompt with his replies about anything that I am concerned about. Whether it be through email, a phone call, or a text message Nervin is extremely personable and exudes an endless amount of positive energy. His work ethic and dedication is absolutely contagious! Choosing The Grow Group is hands down one of the best decisions I have ever made. I highly recommend The Grow Group to anyone who is currently in need of employment services and seeking to develop their marketability. Take a leap of faith without thinking twice about it!

My experience working with the Grow Group has been great. I chose them from a list provided to me by VR. When I first reached out to them, they were quick to response and set me up a meeting for a career assessment with Jenna Chu. She was prompt, professional and personable when we met at a public library for the testing. After I completed my job training through VR, I was assigned a job coach named Tiffany Quinlan. We have meet several times at the public library and she also has been prompt, professional and personable. She has helped me obtain an internship with a business in the field I was trained. She has been very easy to contact and talk to about any concerns. I am grateful for how she has shown that she has my best interest in mind and sincerely wants to help me achieve my career goals. I appreciate all that the Grow Group has done for me and would recommend them to anyone seeking career assistance.

Empathetic, highly trained, motivating, funny and yet a no nonsense person, she got me past the doubts and fear of not being successful in my job search. Over a period of about 6 months, I landed two jobs, the second of which I am still at (3 months) and loving it! You couldn't ask for a better person and company to guide you through the process of getting back into the work force on a part time basis.

My experience wasn't as great as I would have hoped, mainly because I didn't get the right OJT. I'm just disappointed that there isn't enough companies that open up to people like me who are in the autism spectrum/asbergers. I think the community would be better served if there was greater understanding and awareness of our unique gifts and talents, rather than profiling us by a disability. My coach Nervin did a really good job trying to find something that fit me and supported me all the way, but there was miscommunication along the way with everyone involved that ended up putting me in a job that least fit my personality, especially since he couldn't really find any companies that provided experience for my artistic talents. But this is just me being honest, my experience with my coach was great, but the OJT was not.
