Mercy full is such a great organization. The adoption process is very thorough, as they want to make sure the animals are going to safe homes who won’t give the dogs up! They truly care about these animals and want the best for them. I love that about them! They do such great work in Tampa and rescue so many animals from bad situations. Next time we adopt a pet, they will be the first place we go! Thank you for letting us adopt our puppy Morty from the coffee pups litter. We love him so much!

Our dog passed away a few months ago, and we recently decided we were ready to open our home to another. We filled out an adoption application thinking it might be some time before we would be matched to a puppy. We were lucky to meet our match within a couple of days of applying, and we are absolutely in love with our little guy! As we are first time puppy parents, they encouraged us to foster before adopting. This made us feel so much better about our decision, and it makes it very obvious that they really care for the animals that they take in. They take great care in making sure each one goes to the right home!

We adopted a puppy from Mercy Full Project earlier this month. This organization is well-organized and has dedicated and caring employees and volunteers. Its website posts photos and information about the animals available for adoption and has a good filter to help you narrow your search. The online adoption application was easy to fill out. The adoption coordinator was helpful and serious about ensuring that we were prepared and had an appropriate home for a new puppy. There was a meet and greet session for all the available puppies on a Saturday. It was a little crazy -- lots of people coming to see the puppies -- and ran a little behind schedule -- some of the foster homes brought their puppies in late -- but provided a good 4-hour window to meet and interact with all the puppies and ask questions about them. Three references were required to finalize the adoption. When we adopted, Mercy Full Project provided a note from the foster home with some information about our pup's schedule and experience in the foster home, which was very helpful, plus a bag of food and a toy. The adoption fee includes neutering and initial shots. I highly recommend this organization!

Understand it's a not-for-profit but adoption process was a horrible experience. Sent numerous emails with videos requested of dogs home & staying conditions only to be left a response late the night before the adoption asking to bring videos to adoption. Would have been fine had our "adoption coordinator" had been there the day of the meet & greet. Went to meet a small terrier, was asked if I looked at any other dogs that day when the only ones out were large breeds & I told the volunteer I only wanted small breed. There were other terrier's there that day in the back. Sorry for the long review but I was very excited & serious about adopting a dog enough so to buy things for him the day before the meet & greet. An unfortunate experience.

Hello, I do not have a personal experience with your rescue however, I have fostered many dogs and was looking for a place that I could rescue for since my move to the area.Looking at all the reviews ( most of them are impeccable) I was So impressed the way you handled your negative reviews. You can tell how organized your place is by the replies to people who claim to have a bad experience. You have details about each meets and how you handled them and why you handled the situation they way you did. Very impressive . I would love to help out your organization and will be looking into Fostering for your rescue . Thank you for the great work you do!

We adopted Ginger from this rescue recently and were very happy with the experience! Heydi and her team are clearly devoted to finding better lives for these beautiful creatures. I appreciated the thoroughness in their process - they do call your references and will ask a lot of questions but that's a good thing to make sure you and the dog are a good fit. This isnt the humane society (where you drop in, pick a dog out and leave with it same day and know almost nothing about the animal). These dogs are being fostered by amazing volunteers - so you get to learn about the dogs from their fosters and get feedback on their traits). For example, the first dog we met didn't quite work for us - she was a gorgeous love with people, but not ready for other dogs and we were able to avoid the mistake of bringing her into our neighborhood filled with dogs because we were able to get that information from Mercy. If you are in the market for a new family member, I highly reccomend checking them out!

It's a great place where they truly take care of the pets. I went on line and filled out the application to volunteer but I never heard anything back. Loved our experience and love our dog! We went through a long and thorough process to adopt our dog. But we are really happy! Our doggie is believed to be born deaf. Through patience, love, and many doggy treats, he has worked through many fears and now knows about 20 hand signals to communicate basic things. The people here at MFP are very invested in animals, animal rights, and advocating for the perfect home for them with people who will treat them right. Heydi and the people who work here are just really passionate because of what they see each day and they believe all these animals deserve stable loving and reliable homes. They basically devote their whole lives to helping animals. I’m convinced that the people who complain about this place just don’t have the same priorities and passions as MFP and so they clash.

This is the most caring and wonderful place to find a rescue dog. Hats off to Haiti and her crew for the wonderful job they do. Love is always in the air and the wellbeing for the dog is utmost . I feel most blessed to o have adopted a dog from Mercy Full Project.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the mercy full project organization. Everyone is extremely dedicated to the animals in giving them the best care possible and finding the perfect homes for them. They will absolutely make sure their animals are going to the right homes that will be the best possible fit. All the animals are so lucky to be in their hands and have the best opportunity to find loving homes. They are rescuing animals left and right from the worst situations and it is because of people from the mercy full project that these animals are getting a second chance. I’ve fostered cats and dogs from their facility and they have all been wonderful.

Mercy full project is a great rescue organization that really cares for their animals. They make sure they all go to the best homes and really take the time to make sure they know where their animals are going and who they are going to. I have fostered with them before and it was a great experience, and I recently adopted my two kittens from them. They were a blessing to work with and helped me find the right animals for my family! Heydi and the team of volunteers really work hard for their animals and the community and I highly recommend adopting from them, or fostering and volunteering with them. They also throw some amazing events where you can come out and meet the animals and team and I highly recommend following their Facebook to check out what events they have going on! It’s a great rescue to get involved with!

I have volunteered, fostered, and adopted animals through various shelters in Florida and Illinois. Mercyfull project is unlike any organization I have previously been with. MFP feels like a family. The passion, care, time, and energy each staff member and volunteer puts into every event is extremely unique. Their adoption process takes time, because it shows they want the best for the animal and need to find the perfect fit. MFP is a wonderful organization to support and adopt from, 5 stars all around from me!!

Extremely. Kind pet Rescue!! I was completely out of cat litter & I called them to ask if they could maybe donate cat litter to my cat. She said yes and my pet sitter picked it up the same day. So kind of them because they entirely work off donations and they have limited supply. I will definitely donate back to them because they were so helpful to me and my kitty. Honestly this is one of the best rescues! They love their pups so much! They go through so much hard work to make sure each one of their rescues find the perfect home. They make sure to interview each one of their potential Fosters and adopters to make sure their personalities will match with their future homes. Their hearts are 100% in it for the animals. I have been a volunteer with Mercy Full Project since November 2019. I was a foster parent to a owner surrendered dog and recently adopted her. Mercy Full Project is very mindful when it comes to adopting out animals that were surrendered to them, animals found on the street and pregnant animals that are giving birth under their care. Too many people out there think they "want" the dog or cat and and are "entitled" to it, but end up giving them back with several excuses. Mercy Full Project wants to find the best fit when adopting out dogs and cats in their care. When I fostered my dog, I made my daughter extremely aware and made no promises that this is will be our dog, this way she would not get her hopes up or be disappointed if she was adopted by someone else. I commend the owner of Mercy Full Project and all the individuals that contribute their personal time to help out the animals and find their true Furever home. We have seen that many people have great references and end up bringing back the animal with all sorts of excuses why they can not care for them. If you can not find your Furever pet at this rescue, there are many shelters where one can go to to adopt a pet that needs a loving home. Let's keep some harmony in this world for God's loving creatures.

We adopted Cloud from MFP in September. She was a malnourished, pregnant momma from Georgia that they brought into their shelter. She is the sweetest, most gentle dog ever. I tell everyone she’s like the dog Nana in Peter Pan. She’s amazing with my young boys and has been such an awesome companion for me. We thought Cloud needed a dog companion so we went back to MFP. The first dog we met was not a good fit so we met with another dog. We are currently in a foster to adopt with the new dog to see how she gets along with our Cloud. MFP only wants what is best for their animals and makes sure the right people fit the animals needs. MFP really cares about the welfare of animals and puts in a ton of effort with various events to raise money so they can rescue more animals. I would 100% recommend MFP.

I absolutely love volunteering and fostering through this organization. Everyone is on volunteer base and not paid. They truly care about the well being of animals in need. They just don't adopt out to people and Everyone is screened so they can place the right pet with the right family. If I ever needed anything from the rescue for my fosters MFP is there to help always! They are very diverse and sympathetic to all situations. We had the best experience with the team at Mercy Full Project. We have been looking to adopt/rescue for a few months now and once we saw Colada/Hudson - He looked like the perfect fit. Beth has been extremely communicative and from our first call, I had a very good feeling about the Mercy Full Project. All of the staff is extremely kind and they really care for their animals. I knew these pups were treated with extreme care and love from the moment they were rescued. I also really appreciated the adoption process and how thorough it was in ensuring that we'd be the right fit for Colada. I started volunteering MFP in December 2019. I immediately knew after speaking with the founder, Heydi Acuna, that she truly cared about animals and puts so much of her heart, soul, effort, time and even her own money to helping animals in need. I did end up adopting a dog from MFP and she is the best blessing for our family. People don't realize that adoption fees charged go right back in to help other rescue cases which often have extensive medical or even training bills and MFP does not shy away from difficult cases like some rescues do. I 100% recommend this organization and now volunteer as much time as I can to help and would encourage others who love animals to do the same and see how a rescue truly works to save lives.

This is an AMAZING organization which has allowed us to foster multiple times! They allowed our family to have a once in a lifetime opportunity to foster and birth a mama dog and her 8 puppies. It was a great opportunity for kids to see birth and life beginning. I cannot thank MFP enough! They have brought so much love and happiness into our lives. We were going through Dunedin one day, and we felt compelled to stop. Next thing you know, my girlfriend and I fell in love with this precious little girl. She has been by our side ever since, bringing so much joy to our lives.
