Visiting from Dallas, TX this week and we went with this Y as our Y for the week. We took advantage of the Nationwide membership and check in here was the easiest out of all the branches I’ve ever visited while using this member benefit. My colleague used the outdoor pool and I utilized various cardio and resistance pin machines. If possible, I always finish my work out with basketball and I was impressed with the court here. I love the curtain. Facility is clean Staff is very friendly and attentive to members. In particular, I had a great interaction with Abayomi who assisted me with making a donation to their Annual Campaign. Go Team!

Recently joined the Y on a family plan. My wife and I recently became foster parents and Joshua from the Y from the front desk did a GREAT job giving us a tour of the facility, answering our questions and providing us an overview of the programs. We look forward to seeing him again!

This is honestly my favorite location other than the spurlino family YMCA in Riverview. The gym is fully equipped! The pool is always clean, staff is VERY pleasant and always helpful. The daycare staff in stay& play are excellent. 5 stars

Went to bodypump class last nite and I did not see where the class was canceled. Ebone came to check and seen people in there, so instead of us not having a class Ebone and Aba (which is a awesome instructor) made sure we all left with one of the best workout anybody could ask for. Thank You too so much, Just one of the reasons I love this place.

Just awesome!!! Great community resource. I'm more partial to the pool. I can go there and take the time I need to continue much needed physical therapy. Also the fully equipped weight lifting and cardio gym. There is a summer program for kids, and after school program when school starts back. Added bonus, a day care while parents work out. Last a basketball court, that I think the Y is even a part of a league that hosts games. Like I said, a great community resource.

Playing basketball is always fun I do enjoy the guys who come from all walks of life. I love pool as well, but I feel the friendliness was lacking do to my status. The staff or female personnel are a bit presumptuous. However overall the Y has been wonderful. Very delighted to be a member.

I went in to sign up my son for summer camp. The two ladies (one seemed to be in charge, the other one in training) that assisted me were wonderful! Very knowledgeable and informative. Super helpful and nice. If everyone that works there have the same attitude and tone that these ladies had with me, I'm positive I will not have a thing to worry while my son is at camp.

The Central City Y is absolutely the best. It is family friendly and the staff has answer my questions. As a sliver sneaker member I inquired about having extras classes on Thursday and now I am able to attend classes Everyday. The staff is open to suggestions which makes it feels like family working together.

Great facility. Large open space, lots of equipment. It has a basketball court, exercise class room and pool. Packed with exercise options for everyone. The only thing missing for me that I get at the Tampa Downtown Y is the Power Plate machine for stretching.

Always a great community base atmosphere to enjoy your workouts stretches physical trainers and great customer service also with a supportive daycare system for the excellent staff that enjoy watching the kids as they play dance and have creative activities on the side post that was excellent today as our first experience with the swimming lessons today on March 15th 2021 from 5:30 to 6:10 p.m. everyone should stop by and enjoy especially if they have kids out for the summer_spring LOL. Please sign your kids up and don't miss out on the fun and parents still can work out

The fact that they offer Silver Sneakers classes makes it the perfect place to workout. With weight-bearing exercises, I am becoming stronger and more confident about balance issues. Can't wait for water aerobics classes to start.

I have always enjoyed being a YMCA member. I like this particular location because it is never too crowded and the hours are perfect for me to fit in an early morning workout before work! The staff members are very friendly. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for an affordable gym with great equipment!

They need to have better training. How you guys bringing people who don't know the computer system or don't have access to a computer system and put all the not so strong people in one location and a strong people in the other location. But y'all got no problem taking people money

Good place to work out. Everyone who works at the desk is helpful. Well maintained rack ball courts. Plenty of activities for children. Pool maintenance could be improved. It is not cleaned relative to the amount of traffic it gets.

Nice spot to get my 45 min work out in before getting the (kid). Mask are required outside of the weight room area. Very sanitize and you cam self sanitize with convenient wipes available.

I've been a member at many different gyms but this YMCA takes the cake. The staff and instructors are amazing. They remember your name and are so welcoming! The gym is always clean and the equipment is up to date and well cared for. Every class you could want to take is offered, from barre to barbells. There are racquetball courts, basketball courts, a cross fit area, and pool. Membership is an amazing value! It's more than a gym, it's a community. Love my Y!

This is our 2nd year at camp and my daughter loves it! All the the staff and administration are amazing. Always keeping us informed about what's going on whether via the weekly newsletter or verbal when we drop off/pick up our kids. You can tell they genuinely care about each and everyone of those kids there. I like that there's a daily schedule, keeps my daughter in a nice routine over the summer as if she was still following a school day. When my daughter is sad it's time to go home, that lets me know we made the right decision of who to entrust her summer care with. Big thank you to everyone at Central City YMCA!

A wonderful place to work out and leave challenges of the day at the door. Staff are very supportive, knowledgeable and friendly. The members are also very encouraging to one another. Comments to me include: "She's going for the gold! You Go Girl!! We are never too old to be stronger. Super convenient to the Riverwalk for an outside jog/walk and a return for strength and stretching.

The Y cares about FAMILY. That's super important. And the people that work there are one in a million. Each and every one of them care.
