Due to some bad months of work I found myself falling farther and farther behind in rent, and when I was faced with eviction I looked up to see if there was rental assistance for me. I didn't have much hope that I would get anything, but these people were able to do so much for me and forgive a lot of the money that I owed. I finally feel like I can actually breathe and enjoy life again and it's all thanks to these great people and the program that day and the people who are donatin⁸g to them created.
I only hope that in the future I can return the favor and make sure that I can help someone else in need in the same way these people helped me.

Firstly .. majority of the staff I came to seemed very fake , they do a lot of lip service! (Say what you want to hear) The ceo is a African/Nigerian man .. he’s not “black”and he doesn’t care (I thought urban league was black conglomerate for inner city minorities) .. a couple of black women talk and smoke cigarettes all day .. I truly don’t know what they do there .. I’ll change my review when I (we the people) get actual results and answers not lip service and a feeling like they don’t care !

Like the name suggests, it is an Urban organization. If you are coming from village and need to learn the city speak and integrate yourself into the city, Urban league is the best place.
They have lots of facilities and one of them is a drop in center. It is a place to learn the social skills of the city and get yourself placed in the social hierarchy of the city. The instructors can come off as rude. That is the speak of city of US. If you were in a European city, then people will be polite no matter what, but in US people speak loud and in a rude manner no matter what, especially in the cities.
Now they will give you money after you complete education. Use that money wisely. As in for social integration and skills.
Using that money for coffee at a cafe while all dressed up. Using that money to behave properly in a semi formal to formal setting is a best way to integrate yourself into the life of the city.
They recommend people get jobs with uplift. It is one of the best staffing companies in the US. Behave well with them and they will offer career opportunities, vocational training, and higher paying and very respectable jobs.
The urban league also doesn't stop you if you are getting job elsewhere. Choose wisely. Wisely in this case means where do you feel comfortable in the social hierarchy of the city.
The people of Urban league first ask you to respect them like they are your parents, then like parents give you opportunities to speak up and speak in an uply fashion. They are very helpful and highly skilled people.
Once you go through their programs and go through the process of spending great amount of time with them, you will become a person who is well integrated into the city of Seattle. They welcome people of all skin colors and they respect and treat them equally.
They demand things and actions from you. It is lucky to have someone demand things from you. Obviously, dont be very complicit or come off as rude. It is for you to learn the social skills needed to navigate the city without being taken advantage off or being harmed.
Good luck and have a nice journey getting integrated by the best of the US. :)

Urban League is for everyone not just for one's color shape or size it helps us all to become very independent very loyal and very smart men and women and we will be successful through our journey they have a lot to to offer at the Urban League cancel Roosevelt worked at the Urban League for 35 to 40 years until the day he died that's my grandmother's middle brother came from Louisiana to New York for the n-double-acp also use a straight hard-working black man who wanted his family to be just as successful and he migrated here back in the 50s now he was successful and I would love to follow in his footsteps that's wisdom

The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle helped me through a time of great need. I have epilepsy and they were quite attentive in finding me housing outside of Seattle. I am eternally grateful to them and cannot recommend their services highly enough. Thank you so very much.
