Good in certain aspects but refuses to fight for everyone. While the ACLU in other states fights for students rights, the ACLU in WA backsdown and bends over on rights of student issues. While a Student at a WA state public school, i filed many requests for help on issues that the ACLU in other states never backs down from, and every reply I received was. Sorry to hear that but we do not take up issues between students and schools, or The issue you are having is just the way it is. I was a Gay student fighting for my own rights since no one would stand up for me, enduring many threats from my school district, Mukilteo. Threats ranging from suspension to expulsion for simple things such as standing up for the right to express yourself, wearing cloths the school demeed inappropriate. In the end and 25,000 dollars later, a private attorney handled my issues and got the school to back down and prevent any actions taken against me.

Works hard to protect our rights over a span of many years. Model non- profit in a world in which being a consistently good and effective advocate while telling the truth in an alt-fact environment is increasingly hard to do. I know this from personal experience as a lawyer- advocate in my own small community in which money and lies run roughshod over truth, law, and public rights and steal public property with impunity.

What a great organization looking out for the marginalized and under-represented communities. They have dedicated staff who persistently work to resolve government issues that would cause the rest of us to balk and give up in frustration.

I fully support the ACLU and for what they do to support individual rights, and for helping get the word out on what we can do as an individual to organize to help others. Thank you
