If you ever find yourself homeless in New Orleans and are in need of assistance, don't hesitate to goto Travelers Aid Society of Greater New Orleans. They can assist you with obtaining documents, showers, wash clothes, apply for assistance programs, refer you to substance counseling, and even help getting off living on the streets. The Outreach team are working hard to do their part to end homelessness. Thank you for doing what you do to help those most on need in our city!!! Seeing the change in action is encouraging to the future of our city as well!!

Mucho Service! A plus's to/for the COMMUNITY! AWESOME personal outreach and a tender verbal touch to all in need! I was SHOCKED by the concern from the STAFF in each individuals need and I know dealing with a HUGE VSRIETY of XYC people can be taxing, it was not visible, AWESOME JOB DONE HERE!!!!

This nonprofit is so wonderful! I know I have always wondered if giving money to people living on the streets was really helpful, or just enabling a bad habit. Once I met the awesome case workers and employees at Travelers Aid, and learned how their programs are helping people to be accountable for their lives, I knew where my money was better off being donated! The Crisis-Intervention Program helps homeless people find a safe space in the day shelter, showers, laundry, bus tokens and food vouchers, referrals for employment counseling with the Self-Help Employment Program, referrals for long-term mental health assistance, access to job fairs, etc. Basically, if people are willing to take accountability for their lives, then Travelers Aid gives them everything they need to maintain a steady job and live in their own apartment. Most of all though, their amazing staff reinvigorates people with hope. And as their tagline goes, a little hope goes a long way.

Traveler's Aide is a national organization that helps stranded individuals get returned to their loved ones and individuals in need of low income based housing. They are non- profit and have helped many people in need. Their offices are located on Gravier directly across from the closed Charity Hospital. Their building was the site of the old VA. Hospital and they share space with Health Care For The Homeless and supportive offices for Veterans.

They need better reception upon entering. It was a bit confusing. Once in, the people are respectful and compassionate.

They were a huge help with certain things, but why must you be literally on the streets to receive help?
