Such a lovely place. Filled with beautiful art, wonderful people, and an all around fantastic energy.

I went to Ashé by accident but it was the most on purpose accident by far. Upon entry, I was immediately blow. Away by the décor, art and artifacts. There were 2 beautiful Queens at the desk eager to assist. After reassuring me that I was in the wrong location, I couldn’t help but take in all of the beautiful designs and clothing and will be back real soon.

Such a hidden gem! Everyone is so nice & welcoming. A true testament to the vision and heart of the Executive Director and those who she leads. I can't remember all the names of all the wonderful people I met who work there and genuinely exude the spirit of the organization's vision + mission. I truly didn't want to leave.... Will be a go-to stop for culture of the African Diaspora including NOLA & shopping, EVERY time I'm in town.

The staff here is absolutely wonderful. The center not only has art showcasing our history, but also has many initiatives to help it's community moving forward. I would not hesitate to support this institution, it genuinely makes a difference.
Not only is it a place to visit if you're in the area, but it's a reason to go to the area in itself. Apparently they have free dance classes (hybrid online/in person) with free food on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

A wonderful community space. Well worth the visit.

They weren't even technically open but let us in anyways and were extremely hospitable. The artwork was beautiful and had a lot of cultural and historical importance behind it. They allowed my brother to play a piano they had in the space which was something he had on his bucket list of things to do in New Orleans. Then they explained the history behind their many social and cultural programs which was very informative. They then took us to their performance center "The Powerhouse" next door and gave us a tour. By sheer chance, we stumbled in and it made for one of the best days we've had on this trip!

Super friendly people there and it's a great place nestled right in my neighborhood! Central city. Not sure how often they change out the exhibits, but we really enjoyed what we saw.
Worth mentioning that there is a luxurious breast feeding areas for Mothers who may need this. I felt like this was a very classy touch!

This place is phenomenal! I'm glad that we were invited to attend a spoken word event. The vibe was very positive. The display was intriguing. The people were phenomenal. I even graced the stage and shared one of my pieces for the first time ever. It's a great experience. I was too involved in the atmosphere to even take a lot of pictures. If I find the one that I took, I'll edit this review and post it.

Didn't get to see all of it since there was summer camp going on. But what I did see I LOVED 😍

Love this place. Love the area it's located in. Such a revitalization of a community that was once the Mecca of the lives of the New Orleans Black Community. Ashé fits right in and gives live to the area again.
Lots of events are held here and it's a blessing to the founder Carol Bebelle (love the name & she's such a sweet soul) and the community at large.
Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this beautiful center.

A welcoming site to see with kids of all ages and adults of all ages contributing to the musical arts during the summer. When most kids want to swim or play video games. I recommend this place for your kids productive summer activities and so much more. I've heard they even have food on occasion. A needed place. Thank you to everyone helping to keep these doors open. I see it and many other people see the impact and change to the mental and sikey of the people in the community, aboard, and people who are just tourist.

I was able to sit and talk with one of the Management's at Ashe' we talked about the cultural around the area history roots. Information that was expounded upon what's a very very enriching. Will your inquisitive about things and you find someone that doesn't mind sitting and expounding it make you save within yourself, "am I able to process all this information", lol!
Special thanks to Mrs. Monica@Ashe'

Beautifully revitalized space! This glass front building definitely brings life back to Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. This space also has beautifully rennovated apartments on top which is a plus as the apartments help to utilize the entire building. There use to be a lot of buildings with nice space at the bottom but the top portion would be in deplorable condition. Not anymore! This space definitely gives back, pays hommage and touches the community.

I enjoy the diversity of events and commitment to community building. I have been to concerts, plays, dance workshops, and business workshops co-sponsored with Network for Good.

This is a cultural megacenter for the people of New Orleans. Arts, literature, creativity, education is in high supply at this Mecca of culture and influence. Social understanding of a culture not far from ours comes easy and in great quantity.
