As a long time local REALTOR, I've come to appreciate the work the association does on behalf of our members. The CE classes are outstanding and the market research and presentation tools are some of the very best in the nation. There is a responsibility for members to actually take the time to read and apply that information. Additionally, the advocacy for housing and property owner rights happens outside of most members awareness unless it happens to directly affects their community. I understand that nobody likes paying mandatory dues yet the value benefits far outweigh the costs, assuming members take the time to become aware of the work by staying informed. read the emails and show up for events, join a committee, there is always a need for people to share their time and expertise.
