New Roots is working hard to ensure food justice for the West End. Their primary mission is to bring 'farmers market' foods, using pop-up deliveries to the West End for those who aren't able to afford, or get to, the East End markets. I would certainly recommend contacting them for donation or volunteering opportunities if you care about social justice because they are doing great work and could certainly use the support. They share space with The Table, which serves 'pay what you can' lunches that are organic and very tasty. If you ever need an inviting space for a lunch meeting, make this your first option!

They bring fresh local vegetables and fruits to neighborhoods considered food desserts. They offer good produce for very little money. The staff and volunteers are hard working good people.
