Reviews of Feeding Chittenden
I love the community here diversity and family oriented
Amazing place that helps many people daily!
Wonderful resource for people who are needy because of disability or
going through a tough stretch. I applaud this organization and for the compassion that they demonstrate every single day. I am thankful to be able to come in and obtain vegetables and other needed groceries, as I am disabled and on a low fixed income. I appreciate the people at the Food Shelf who volunteer there.
My only concern is that I have observed people getting food there who can afford to buy it at the supermarket. I'm talking about individuals who show up in new cars and SUV's to stock up on food just for the sake of getting freebies. These greedy people and their selfish actions result in much less food readily available to the legitimately needy individuals and families.
Look around the parking lot and you'll see what I mean.
The foodshelf has great recovery food drop offs from Trader Joe's Hannafords City Market and more. Best drop off times are Mon. Weds. Fri. around 9:00 -10:00
I went when the trucks with food was coming in. The staff are very nice and helpful. But most of.the people who go there are very pushy and will take things right out of the boxes before the staff has a chance to put it out.
When you're in need and can't get to the grocery store or afford it at the time they help a lot. Sometimes their selection isn't the largest, bit the food is not rotten and they help anyone
This place and its organisation. Now called feeding chittenden is a wonderful helpful organisation for those in need. PLEASE if you can donate, Every donation no matter how much helps. Thank you in advance for your help

Clean, good staff, you can always get bread, and if you ask they have pet food as well
The staff is friendly. You can always get bread. They offer pet food if you all for it
Good resource only downside is they dont don't always have a lot of donations which means less food available
When in need of some extra food to get by, is thin now a days. Rembere to look for expired dates on all products.
They do their very best to provide a basic human right with dignity.
It can seem like a free for all at time's. Some. Some of the vollenters look at you weird..
They try to help as much as possible but don't have enough volunteers to keep order.
Really great people that care that we have enough food.
Its the go to place for anyone in need of help. The food shelf helps so many in need of food
