We needed a fridge and decided to go shopping. We tried Lowe’s first, service was terrible, the person working the appliance section was more interested in messing on the their cell phone, absolutely no help. While there I called East Coast Appliance, Todd was very informative on how he could save us money. We headed there, Todd was ready, presented us with options, explained features, and was not a pushy salesman. He let us take our time, had no issue going back and forth with to show us different options. The process was easy, and when I got home I searched the web for items we purchased and checked prices, East Coast was on par or lower with national brand stores on prices. That was comforting!! Ken was fantastic!!! When our refrigerator stopped working suddenly, we were dreading the search for a new one. Typically, in the past at other stores its been long wait times to talk to someone and then the people we spoke with were not very knowledgeable. Our experience at East Coast Appliance was completely different. Ken listened to exactly what we were looking for and did not try and upsell us. He was very knowledgeable and the whole process from start to finish was only about 30 minutes. They even had it in stock and it was delivered within a few days. Zach also helped with questions after the purchase. The team there was amazing and I would definitely purchase there again and recommend it to others.

Just went back to east coast after receiving a great deal on an oven ! This time I worked with Ken P., and I got a great deal on a “scratch and dent” fridge that honestly didn’t have any noticeable damage! But the scratch and dent price was fantastic 🙌🏼 Ken answered all of our questions and helped us out where he could on delivery fees. Definitely going to go back for any other appliances we may need for our new home :)

Had a great experience at the Laskin Rd store thanks to John Langhorne. This was my first time buying a refrigerator for my home after the current one gave out and I had no idea what to expect walking into the store. He was courteous and friendly and the process was super smooth. On delivery day we found out we measured wrong and the fridge didn’t fit in the space we had and the delivery guys called John and he didn’t hesitate to tell me to come in so we could find a solution. He found me the exact model I wanted after calling around to other locations and it was in the size that would fit the space I have and for the same price and I couldn’t be happier with the service he provided. He didn’t charge me extra for the mistake that wasn’t even their fault which was a huge relief to me. I am very grateful for his help and the delivery guys for being so helpful. Great savings! Though some of their “scratch and dent” is fit for the garage, not all of it is. Saved $1500 on an oven with a dent in the back. Couldn’t pass it up! We needed a new microwave/oven to replaced a 22 year old unit. Our experience at ECA was wonderful! Our salesman was Chester Newton and he helped us to narrow down our choices and he even found an operable "scratch & dent" model. He scheduled someone to come measure the space we had for the built in 2-in-one unit. He scheduled Jim Johnston who would measure, deliver and do any needed carpentry work. Jim measured the space to make sure the wall unit would in fact fit. We returned to ECA and purchased the unit from Chester, he schedule a delivery date for Jim to return and he came and installed the units. He then returned another date to complete the carpentry needed to match our kitchen wood paneling exactly and made a drop panel so we now have an additional shelf for storage which was a pleasant bonus! His carpentry far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend ECA, Salesman Chester Newton and carpender, delivery person, Jim Johnston. Thank you for the high quality and enjoyable experience! We are very grateful!!

I purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher from East Coast Appliance, and had it installed using the plumber I usually use. Within one week after installation the unit stopped working properly. A paper that was included with the owner manual said, “Wait don’t call a repair man, call Frigidaire”. I notified Frigidaire of the problem I was having. Frigidaire sent out a repairman within a few days who determined I needed a new control panel and a locking mechanism. It took several weeks for the parts to be delivered. After the new parts were installed, the dishwasher worked for a week and then stopped working again. I called Frigidaire who sent out another repairman. He determined that in addition to the unit not working there was also a leak in a weld and the unit needed to be replaced. When he contacted Frigidaire tech support, he was told that manufacturer defects are only covered for 30 days. The owner (me) needed to contact customer relations. I was so frustrated that I had gone in circles with Frigidaire I decided to call East Coast Appliance. I called the East Coast Appliance service center where I purchased the dishwasher and spoke to Ashley. She listened to the entire scenario and said she would take it for action. Within two days she notified me that East Coast Appliance had spoken with Frigidaire technical support. Frigidaire had agreed to replace my dishwasher. I was contacted later that day by Tim, the manager, of East Coast Appliance on Laskin Road, Virginia Beach. He informed me that same model was available and if I was agreeable, they would replace my inoperative dishwasher with a brand new. Since we were well pleased with the previous Frigidaire dishwasher that had served so well for 2o years we were willing to stay with an updated version of the same model. Within a week the new dishwasher was delivered, installed, and works great. I learned a valuable lesson. I will return to East Coast Appliance for all my future appliance needs. It was such a pleasure to deal with their professional staff. A “real live” person answered the phone within several rings without being placed in a que or on hold. Everyone I spoke with followed up on what they promised and kept me informed by making and returning calls. Thank you, Ashley and Tim, for your professional and great service. A satisfied customer

Edit: Tim and his team came through, within a few hours I received a call letting me know that my dryer will be delivered within two days. With how they handled and rectified the issue I will definitely be coming back. His Delivery team was highly professional and efficient and left no trace that they were here. Ordered a dryer 6 days ago was told it will be delivered and setup today. Did not revive any contact so I called to find out it was just delivered to their store and will be delivered next week. We were proactive and sold our old dryer 3days after we ordered the new one (because the delivery estimate we were given) and that backfired.

A great appliance store with a huge inventory in house. No waiting for delayed supply chain issues. Just pick what you want and buy it on the spot. Friendly staff and great prices on there products. Don't forget to check out the cratch a dent section for a really good deal. We found four different GE Profile series refrigerators with tiny bits of damage ........a tiny dent or a small scratch sometimes on the side and hidden from view but you still get a great discounted price. Brand new this refrigerator is $3,500.00 and the same refrigerator with a tiny ding in it cost us $2,800.00 . My wife and I are very happy with our purchase and we've had no problems with the refrigerator. They are also willing to negotiate on the price for appliances in the cratch and dent section........we found it easy to get an additional $200.00 off the offered price by just asking. Don't be afraid to ask because they want to make a deal with you.

After getting screwed by appliances connection and home depot for a double wall oven. Somehow these guys had one in stock when every other company told me the nearest date would be July. I was nervous but relented and ended up buying a microwave and a double wall oven which were both collectively under 2,000. Way less than everybody else, and the salesman I dealt with both times was very polite and kind and definitely made sure I keep shopping there. I buy a lot of appliances all over the state of Virginia and will be buying them from East Coast every time from here on out.

Why would you give your money to a big box store with zero help or care after the sale when you can help promote local business. I was lucky enough to get Lloyd as a salesman. Very helpful and knowledgeable for the four hours I was there picking out a refrigerator and dishwasher. Not only did he beat everyone else's price but he bent over backwards to make sure I had exactly everything I was looking for. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I will only shop there for my appliances from now on. On my way to see them I first stopped at Lowe's to look around and I stood in front of the dishwashers for probably 20 minutes. Halos salesman was 20 feet away from me and never once even said hi right if I needed any help. Do yourself a favor and go to East Coast Appliance and ask for Lloyd and check out the difference for yourself.

I recently bought several appliances. Unfortunately, the scratch and dent washing machine had a broken part and poured gallons of water on the floor when I turned it on. I contacted the company and was directed to the repair service. The technician was polite and knowledgeable, but couldn’t get us a timeframe for repair. Todd followed up and though he couldn’t expedite the repair process, he one-upped and offered to replace the scratch and dent with a brand new unit with a longer warranty for a very reasonable fee. I called because I was in a bind, bought a stove over the phone from Doug. I misunderstood something (completely my fault) so I called back to try to resolve and was fortunate enough to get Archie. In spite of the fact that he didn’t make the sale and had nothing to gain personally, he took his time waking me through what I needed. I later went into the store and he again took time to answer the questions I needed and helped me make another purchase. Definitely a pleasure to work with!! My experience with purchases depending on my salesperson, so I strongly suggest if you shop here, ask for Archie!

I was asked if I needed help every three minutes. This isn't an approximation, I started keeping track because it was happening so often. I told each of the three men that kept asking that I didn't need help and I would ask if that changed. That didn't stop them. For reference, I'm a 42 year old man that looks like a viking and not someone you would assume is unsure about how a refrigerator works. After telling them I would ask for help if required failed, I told them to please stop asking me every three minutes. They then became hostile with one man aggressively telling me he was just doing his job. I thought he was trying to fight, which at this point seemed more enjoyable than being asked if I needed help every time I opened another refrigerator. He walked away allowing me to have 11 minutes of peaceful shopping. I decided not to make a purchase there because it was beyond annoying. Considering I was buying an entire kitchen, someone could have made a large commission had they remotely cared about the desire of the customer. The selection was great, prices were reasonable and I would have spent a lot of money had the staff been so harassing. I have literally had a easier time haggling in bazaars in the middle east.
