Huge showroom of pretty good looking appliances. You get feeling that they are particular about what they sell. Husband happy with repair guy so far. He bought timer switch unit to replace our whirlpool stack washer dryer. He will install soon, but not yet. I know where I can go when my unit finally wears out. They deliver their goods and haul away yours. Can't get much better. We had full attention of general manager D J. Nice guy. Knows the business. Tell him you found him by Google Maps.

It was just time. We had moved into a place where all the appliances came with the house. The previous owners spared all expenses in their choice of appliances. They were all from the 70s.. maybe early 80s. They not only lacked aesthetic value but they were functionally challenged as well. We needed an oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a dryer. Several months ago our washing machine went out and one of my girlfriend's co-workers suggested Kaady's Appliances. She picked one up for under $150 that worked perfectly. She suggested we there first to look for all the other appliances that we needed. We walk in the door and before being swarmed on, we are able to look around in peace. Once we are greeted, it's by George Kaady. He's friendly and seemingly apologetic that it's his job to sell things to us. As we begin to hone in on the appliances that we like, he begins to tell us what deals he can make for us if we buy all the appliances that we need there. He's not pushy. He's more than willing to let us set a budget and figure out what he can do within that budget. He is willing to let us walk away and shop around. We didn't feel pressured at all. WE picked matching appliances... all the same brand. George gave us an exceptional deal. For a newer model side-by-side refrigerator with ice makes and water dispenser, a newer model electric range top/oven, and a newer model dishwasher we paid just slightly over $800 delivered and installed. Obviously these are used items and your price will vary depending on what you get, etc. But we felt like we got a very good deal. The only thing that could have gone better during the sales cycle is if we would have been able to deal with George throughout that cycle. I guess he's not there as much and I hate to make the guy busier... but if you can - ask for George. From my perspective, after money exchanged hands is where these guys really excelled. We scheduled a delivery for a time that worked for us. The delivery guys came a little early and they worked their asses off to make sure that the job was done well. 2 very friendly and hard-working guys spent 3 hours a piece getting all of our old appliances out of there and the new appliances in. They did everything they had to leave our house looking like those appliances were always there. I didn't have any cash on me but I definitely would have tipped them each had I. Kaady's should come up with a way to leave these guys a tip. The sales people obviously make commission off of their sales... but don't work as hard as the installation crew. Maybe it's like restaurants and some of that commission gets spread around?? We were missing a couple of trays and the plastic butter cover from the refrigerator that were definitely there when we looked at it in the showroom. It took us about a week and a few phone calls to get one tray and the cover. No word on what happened to the other trays. I have a feeling that if I pressed, they would figure out how to get the other tray. Anyway.. the overall experience was great at Kaady's. I would recommend that you go to them if you have a little budget for appliances needing to be replaced. They have good customer service skills. They are willing to make deals. Their delivery guys are exceptional.

Do haggle; way more inventory than shows on their site so go in person if curious. Deliver & install which was nice, had a leaky washer hose which they gladly replaced. Excellent prices, bought a washer, dryer, and fridge for under 1k, will definitely come back when it's time to upgrade

Always helpful, not pushy to get a sale. If you want new or out of the box, they have some good deals. I have purchased used from them. The washer has lasted 8 years and it was OLD when it bought it, I think I paid $149 at the time. I've had two older dryers from them with one lasting 7 years and the other lasting 2 years. Both were old and fairly priced.

This place is great. Very laid back. The employees tell you what you need to know if you ask but they won't bug you. It's not like a used car lot. But if you do have questions, they will answer honestly and not try to sell you the most expensive thing. Matter of fact, we went in intending to buy a more expensive front loading washing machine and dryer set but the ladies there explained that they aren't necessarily better than the more basic types. They even gave us a deal!

This business had amazing customer service, delivery, and follow up! The people inside are kind and friendly, not pushy or trying to change your mind on what you want to make a different sale. The delivery option was also fantastic and the delivery people were quick, efficient, and tested my washer/dryer before leaving to make sure everything was in perfect order. They even helped me talk with maintenance at my apartment to troubleshoot an issue with my electric! I highly recommend this business to anyone looking to purchase appliances!

I've had to have 3 replacements of my washer and dryer in 2 months. And to top it off, they damaged the kitchen floor of my new apartment! Though I appreciate that they provided replacements, the customer service left something to be Desired. The damage on my floor came from the service person quickly moving my fridge in a sloppy manner instead of being careful with it. The floor is sharp enough to scrape my feet and I have a baby that will be crawling soon.

I went it to pick up a part for the dyer and they were nice enough to give it to me for free. The part works perfect; dryer back up and running!!! Excellent customer service! I had a freezer that was fully loaded stop working, and the folks at Kaady were very helpful in a crisis. At a time when no other stores anywhere in the Portland area had freezers available, they saved the day! All of the people were also very nice and friendly to work with. Purchased a washer & dryer from George today and was thoroughly impressed with how quick and easy the whole process was! We went shopping at a few local used appliance locations and prices were all very similar, but delivery either had a fee or had to wait days to have our purchase delivered. Not at Kaady, we walked in, he showed us the best set for our price range and managed to have it delivered to our house within 3 hours!!!!! On a holiday nonetheless! Highly recommend this business.

nice place decent used refrigerators stoves dryers and things like that they give you a warranty I knew you stuff but you never get to collect it cuz the stuff last longer than the warranty, which is a good thing. Decent selection the price on the machine often is a little less if you smile and wiggle the numbers around. Nice people don't get greedy.

Needed a used range and saw a perfect one listed online. At the store they informed me that one had been sold but had a better one for $50 cheaper. It was indeed better! Delivery was free and the friendly, competent delivery drivers took my old one away at no charge. Great experience!

I bought a dryer from this firm back around 2001, and it lasted for nine years. After replacing that one with a unit purchased from a Vancouver store that went belly up after only one year, I went right back to Kaady - as I should have done in the first place. While the price seemed a bit steep for a used unit, I must say that delivery was prompt (less than twenty-four hours) and the delivery people were quick, courteous and professional. Plus, this store backs its products with a six month warranty - and it is obvious that great care was taken to make certain the unit was in good working order. If you are in the Portland Oregon area and are planning to purchase a major appliance second-hand, I highly recommend that you make Kaady your first stop.

So we talked to the guy who sold us the freezer about the issues we have with it and he is hopefully going to work with us and refund us. The freezer is much too big for an apartment. It keeps blowing a fuse and the hot air coming out is too much so hopefully they take it back. Kinda wishing they had told us it wouldn’t be an appropriate fit for an apartment to begin with but it is what it is. Will come back and update if they do take it back. I don’t think they normally do returns but we appreciate them working with us especially during this time. That was the last $500 we had so to not be able to get a working freezer right now and be stuck would be awful for our family. So we are appreciative

Great customer service/ lots to choose from!! If you haven't checked out the revamped Kaadys Appliance store you need to!!! They are carrying new appliances and the store is like new! They have done an outstanding job working with me on a used oven I bought. At the first sign of trouble they immediately worked with me to fix the problem, George has bent over backwards to make right! The service tech is knowledgeable and answered all my questions never getting annoyed with my lack of knowledge or probably silly questions. I would recommend them 100%. Kaady had a GE Profile dutch door fridge in stock the day my old fridge died. They were able to manage a next day delivery (free) although I live a good distance from their Portland location. Home Depot and Lowe's couldn't do any better than six to ten days. Did I mention Kaady was $1300 less than the retail price? We had a little cosmetic damage with the delivery but George made it right!

I met and delivered dryer back to George for repair the next morning and he traded the bad dryer for a Newer nicer dryer that is working Great!! I do business with these guys all of the time, and I will have to say the owner is a stand up guy. You can tell by looking at him that he loves what he does. I've been shopping here for 25 years and have never had any problems with them. They have some really low prices, warranties and they don't charge for delivery which runs around $100 these days at Sears.

Drove here before giving up after huge disappointment at the Sears Outlet. Was pleasantly surprised for the sale's person to be direct about helping us find what we needed without being pushy or scummy. She took extra time to show and talk to us about the vintage appliances throughout the building. Good selection of fridges. We got a dishwasher for less than $400 that is selling at Home Depot for almost a thousand. It has a small dent on the left side. In my home this will not even show. Check out Kaady's before you go somewhere else and pay a ton more.

Thank you so much to Herman and Kaady's for fixing our dryer today! I called this morning after realizing that my dryer was no longer heating properly or advancing during the timed cycle, Herman answered the phone and was awesome, he was very helpful and personable and offered to come out that same morning! While he was here he replaced the heating element and thermostats and was very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough testing the dryer as he worked making sure that the dryer was heating and cycling properly again. We have bought 2 fridges, a washer and a dryer from Kaady's and could not be more pleased with them as a company! I use my washer/dryer often as I have young kids! A big thanks to Herman and Kaady's for taking care of us today! We will happily continue to be repeat/long time customers for all of our appliance needs!

6 weeks after delivery I still do not have a working refrigerator. This one was delivered broken. I bought it at the Tigard store, was told the reason the control pane did not work is that it needed the ice maker installed. 4 weeks later and one repair appointment which turned into a no show the tech comes by He installs the ice maker which shuts the frig down. He resets and tries again, the computer is pretty much toast, can't modify the temperature since the panel is flashing a code and does not function. I call the Tigard store several times, He says he will call me back tells me he needs to talk to the tech, they are going to replace it. He never calls back. I called the tech, he spoke to the store already. Week 5 I call the main store, he has a newer model of the same style of fridge and will keep it on for a few days to make sure it works. Says they will deliver it on Tuesday. Called the store to confirm this morning, it never made it on to the truck, he said he would call me back in a few minutes. He was going to try to get the truck back. No call back after over 2 hour and when I call (5 times so far) can't leave a message because it says the phone is in use. I want my money back, I have already freezer burned a bunch of stuff. There is water and ice in the crispers and it ruined a bag of soy flour. I have refrained from purchasing anything that would need to go in the frig so it doesn't get ruined. Finally got through to the store (4 hours after they said they would call me back), get put on hold. There is only one person working today (this is a different person than the one I spoke with earlier) the frig is on a truck, I was given a number since they do not have contact number and I am not home. The phone goes straight to voicemail which is not set up. I do not have time to call the store again. I think 5 calls is more than enough. Apparently they don't want to work with me. Apparently they don't believe in good customer service. this is just the cliff notes. beware. a 6 month warranty doesn't mean much when you get no support. Update: they need more people in their stores, they need to return calls. Got the replacement frig, it works so far. It is a little smaller and has a small dent, I have no problem with that, it works. No ice in the crisper trays, my frozen foods are not over frozen and the temperature adjustment panel is working.

Have shopped with them since somewhere around 1994. They barter so you got a good chance of getting a deal you want. I recommend you try them first as they have new and used items to choose from. Good priced sales, and I found them to be generally very helpful with all aspests of appliances from sales to repair.

I have been buying from the Kaady's for YEARS ! My family and I have numerous rental properties and we get the majority of our appliances at Kaady's Appliances. Lately I have been so busy that I just order over the phone , let them know the size color and so on , and what grade of appliances to send , for a High end house/condo or just basic clean units to suit the basic needs of our renters They are a family business , and prior to buying from the Kaady's my family bought from their Father Fred Schwary (If you are under 4o or 50 this name probably doesn't ring a bell) But this guy was the all time Appliance dealer and many other businesses before that . Fred was famous in the Parkrose and Pdx area. So what I am getting at is that these guys are good people , and sure we have had a problem or two with some of the appliances , but they are USED ! And that's why they come with a warranty . Any time I ever had an issue I would call and speak to Mr.Kaady or his son , and the matter would be resolved , and my tenants would get out of my ear. I just bought two sets of washer and dryers last weekend and Mr.Kaady still honors the original price from years ago , not even taking inflation into consideration , he's just a good man , and so are all the Kaady's and their employees , I think there is 4 or 5 Kaady's over there , and they have always been very kind even if I thought a delivery date or service time wasn't quick enough , they would chuckle and say "Ok Ok ,we'll take care of that " and it would get done on the day I needed. I don't know why I am writing a novel here but I was just reading some of these other reviews and I just know that they do good business and wouldn't rip someone off or do anything crooked, myself and my family members would still be buying appliances there if this was the case. Bottom line is most people only write reviews when they are angry or upset with a company , and I just wanted to say , hey! This is a used appliance shop and stuff is gonna be scratched or dinged up, and may need service in the first month or 2 , but the Kaady's will stand behind their product . That's why they have been there for as long as I can remember , 20 something years So, if you want a good deal on appliances and a big selection then go check them out and have your own experience , and see why I keep going back . Had a excellent experience buying a 3pc kitchen set from Kaadys! Saved me at least $1500-2500 from the big box stores (homedepot, Lowe’s, dewhits, and standard) on a openbox GE: fridge, oven, and dishwater. Oven was a new scratch & dent piece had a couple rings on the side nobody will see, which I’m fine with because the money I saved is a vacation or another purchase to my new home. George even threw in a matching $600 microwave and free delivery and I got a 1 year manufacture Warranty! I highly recommend!
