They came out to fix my “newly installed” dishwasher that apparently wasn’t done quite right. Although I wish they had been able to get me in earlier, it was still workable. They did call me when they had a cancellation but it didn’t work on my end. Would call them again, but hope I don’t need to and will recommend.

We were having problems with our Speed Queen washer and dryer and needed to have them looked at and repaired. On day scheduled, we received a call confirming that the technician (Jarrod (sp?)) was on his way. He was on time, courteous, thorough and efficient. Our washer and dryer are back to normal.

St. Louis Appliance Repair was very quick to respond to our need with our dishwasher. They promptly came out, were extremely courteous and professional, identified the problem, ordered a part and returned as soon as the part had been received. They called us the day before with approximate time parameters of when the service person would visit and called when the service person was on the way with approximate time of travel to our home.

I have had problems with the ice maker on my Whirlpool side by side for over a year. Bob from St. Louis Appliance Repair was finally able to diagnose the problem and went above and beyond to fix it. I can’t say enough about how persistent he was and would not quit until a very difficult job was finished.

After reading reviews, I was reluctant to engage this company. However, my fears did not come to pass. I called SLAP and scheduled a service call. 5 minutes later, SLAP called back. I moved up 1 day - apparently someone canceled. I had 3 problems at the house. A Wolf 60" Dual Fuel right oven that would not heat as quickly as the left, or maintain temp. A Wolf hood that did not exhaust properly. And a Subzero 424 Wine Refrig that was not cooling properly. Oven problem turned out to be that the oven element was not connected. Wolf uses 2 elements, broiler and oven, while heating, then switches to oven element for baking. (NEVER COOK WHILE WARMING YOUR OVEN OR YOU WILL BROIL YOUR FOOD.) This is why the oven wouldn't hold temp. The internal dampers on the hood were subject to binding because of two screws installed by a (non-Wolf) contractor who installed the hood. Solution involved crawling through the attic. I provided attic access and light. A critter screen was binding an external damper. I provided a ladder for roof access. The 424 was diagnosed as having a bad sealed system ($1800-2200) or a bad control board ($1200-1500), but the technician wasn't sure because the problem wasn't occurring at the time. I received a 30 day warranty on the service call but decided to junk the 424 (I had paid $500 for it on eBay 5 years ago) and to get a replacement unit. Updated as of December 21, 2020. Had technician Steve stop by during the pandemic to check out the replacement (used) Subzero 424 which malfunctioned in the top section. Arrived with mask. Was courteous. Quickly diagnosed the problem - a bad thermistor (temperature sensor). Replaced it in timely fashion. 5 *****

I call St. Louis Appliance for all our various machines: SubZero refrigerator, Asko washer and dryer, and Bosch dishwasher. While not all the time, I like seeing the same knowledgeable repairmen over the years. I have never had to have any ‘rework’ (though parts are not always immediately available on the truck). And they are very communicative regarding time windows and giving a 30-minute heads’ up that they are on the way. Very reliable.

I have seen some bad reviews on this company. I have used them at least four times on different appliances over the years and have nothing bad to say; over the top knowledgeable and efficient. Don’t listen to those few bad reviews.

My subzero 532 were down and my home insurance company sent four different contractor but none made a professional diagnosis measuring pressure , compressor etc, though a couple diagnosed it is relevant to the sealed system which none of them were qualified to repair. I finally had to identify an out-of-network contractor myself, called subzero and found out st. Louis appliance repair group is the only certified provider on the sealed system of subzero. They sent in a technician right away the next day even though it is Saturday. Mike, the technician came in on time Saturday morning, not talkative, but diagnosed my refrigerator professionally and concluded shortly and precisely on the failures. He was so patient to wait to talk to my home insurance company, providing all the details on part and labor estimate to the insurance company stuff. He stayed for more than 1-hour for the diagnosis and estimate and talking to the company. He also didn't push us to do the repair but was honest on the fact that the refrigerator is old and may not worth to repair it. He even recommended what brands of refrigerators in the $3000 range to buy (GE, whirlpool, Maytag). I really appreciated his great work and expertise.

I have used this company for over 20 years. I find them to be very professional, punctual and fair. It is very frustrating when an appliance breaks and sometimes you have to wait. I get that, but they do a good job trying to be expedient. I highly recommend their service.

Great experience getting warrany work done on my Fridge. If you need warranty work done on a fridgedaire product in St. Louis then you should ask for the work to be sent to them. The default repair shop in St Louis is a joke.
