Everyone at Metropolitan appliance, was friendly and welcoming. Dec 30, 2022 The installers did a fabulous job removing our old range and installing the new one. I appreciate their professionalism and courtesy letting us know what they were doing each step of the way. After the Range was installed they went above and beyond to leave and get a kit that would make the range look as if it were built-in. In recent years customer service has been almost non-existent which has been very disappointing. They have restored my faith in customer service and quality workmanship. Patricia

We just received a Frigidaire chest freezer ordered from Metropolitan Appliance and our experience with them has been fantastic from end to end. Dan, our sales associate, was prompt with communication and a pleasure to work with. We received calls both to reconfirm our delivery time the day prior to delivery and to let us know when the delivery team was an hour out on our delivery day. Our delivery team arrived right on time and was friendly, professional, and efficient. They provided excellent service with delivery right to our garage and a kind offer to help us unpack the unit if needed. (We declined, but appreciated the offer!) We will definitely be ordering any future appliances from Metropolitan Appliance.

What a fantastic local store to be able to buy your appliances from! Someone always answers the phone or email no robot menus and long wait times like the big chain stores that don't even get you anyone helpful anyways. They have their own dedicated delivery and installation crew, not a third party they sub-contract. Pricing was great too, no gimmicks just great service and knowledgeable team.

We had a great experience with Metropolitan Appliance, as they helped us replace our broken washer/dryer hassle-free. Not having a dryer while dealing with other vendors was not worth the headache. We tried buying appliances through Costco and other vendors, and they failed us twice by delaying the delivery of the equipment for almost two months and by not providing accurate information— once the washer/dryer finally arrived, the dryer was severely damaged upon delivery with no option to replace! Unlike Costco and other vendors, Metropolitan Appliance provides excellent customer service and accurate communication on pricing, equipment availability, estimated time of arrival, installation date, and logistics. Highly recommend.

Fantastic customer service. This is where you want to buy your appliances, trust me. I stopped by the store and explained to a salesperson named Paul what I was looking for: a washer and dryer for a very small laundry room in a condo. He really listened to my specific needs and walked me through various washer/dryer combos, and the pros and cons of each for my specific needs. He had a wealth of knowledge about the serviceability and features of the washers and dryers. For example, I asked which models have doors that open to the left vs. to the right. He said most open to the left, but he showed me several dryers and 1 washer that can be changed for the door to open to the right. He also explained why most washers don't offer the option to change the swing of the door (i.e. the rubber seal, door latch sensor, etc.). Best of all, he gave me some interior design ideas for a cabinet setup that would work well next to the stacked washer and dryer (my previous washer and dryer were side by side). Paul saved me from having to spend lots of time doing my own research and possibly ending up with a sub-par configuration of cabinets/shelves + washer and dryer. He arranged for delivery and installation 4 business days later. The installers (Leo and another gentlemen whose name I do not remember) were just as friendly and helpful as Paul. They did a great job and left my laundry room very clean with everything installed and connected perfectly. Not a scratch on the washer and dryer or on my walls, even though they had to carry the appliances up 2 narrow flights of stairs in an old building. These were the first of several 17-year old appliances in my condo that need replacing. I will be going back to Metropolitan Appliance when I eventually need to replace the other appliances. Prices were competitive with the big box stores, and with the rebate offered on this particular washer and dryer, it was less expensive to go with Metropolitan Appliance than a big box store.

The sales people are very helpful and don't pressure you at all. I had to wait forever for my dishwasher to come in, but that's due to the supply chain issues, not the store's fault! They kept me fairly well informed of my order status, and even let me know when comparable models were in stock in case I wanted to change my order. When my delivery was finally ready, they were on time and awesome to work with. They answered my many weird questions and did a great job with the installation. This is the kind of service I hope for when shopping locally, and the prices are competitive. The next time I need an appliance, I'll definitely be getting it here!

Jim at Metropolitan tried to get my washer from another location but couldn’t. He set expectations when it would come in and he was dead on. Speed Queen is worth waiting for and I know that there are a lot of factors in play in today’s world. The delivery time was a few hours early and the install was great. Jim at the store was very helpful in finding us a dishwasher that would fit in our tight spot in our old home. He worked over the weekend as we went back and forth with measurements and photos to make sure the one he had in mind for us would fit. He found the perfect one for us and had in installed in about a week from purchasing it. The technician was very professional and spent a lot of time making sure our stairs and floor were protected. It was a lot of work to get the old dishwasher out and the new one in. We are very happy with our new Kitchen aid and Metropolitan Appliance. We live in Everett and they are based in Seattle and we found them from a Google Search for smaller size dishwashers.

Cannot say more great things about Metropolitan. We had just purchased a new home without a washer dryer. I ordered a washer/dryer from Costco 2 months before we needed it. After months of back and forth and deliveries that wouldn’t even show up, I cancelled the order and instead went with Metropolitan - and I’m SO glad I did. Ryan was so helpful over the phone and helped me find the right unit for us. He even helped us measure the appropriate rooms and stairways to make sure that the appliances would fit. Metropolitan was able to deliver my washer dryer within the week. The installation crew was professional, courteous, and very friendly. They completed the install very quickly, and even gave us an orientation as to how it worked. Will never go back to big box stores for appliances ever again - I will be a Metropolitan customer for life!

Every strep of the process with Metropolitan Appliance went very smoothly. I knew which dishwasher I wanted, and I couldn’t find it in stock anywhere. Finally, I used the chat function on Metropolitan’s website, and the salesperson was able to locate the model that I wanted and let me know when it could be delivered and installed. It was the same price as big box retailers. I then purchased the dishwasher online, and the salesperson called me right away to schedule installation just a few days later. The installation crew, which is employed directly by Metropolitan, was polite and helpful. My kitchen has a very sloped floor, so it was challenging for them to get the dishwasher level. They did it without complaining, and everything looks and functions great. They also told me how well Metropolitan treats them, which made me feel even better about my purchase. I would definitely recommend them if you need an appliance!

Everything start to finish was handled professionally. Had all of my questions answered when picking out the appliances we wanted and a great breakdown of the differences in brands and models. I felt like I was able to make a more educated decision because of it. Installation went without a hitch. Efficiently got everything set up and ran us through a couple features and basic maintenance (filter location, etc) after a successful test. Our fridge was in the process of dying. I shopped at metropolitan and got patient and thorough help trying to find a good fridge that would both fit in my space and be what I wanted. It wasn’t easy because my space was just a bit too short for most new refrigerator of 18 cubic feet or greater. We did find one model that would work and they had just one in stock in stainless so I took it and paid with my card. But the next day my wife and I went shopping around town and we found another better choice (larger taking advantage of the few extra inches of width we had available and required a slight modification of our cabinets) Once we realized we had a better choice we called back to metropolitan to see if they could get us that fridge in stainless. They could but they would have to order it and would take up to a month. I was trying to find where to rent a fridge in the meanwhile. At metropolitan they told me that they wanted me to get what I needed that was their number one concern so if I could find my fridge in stock somewhere and avoid renting that’s what I should do. They would rather have everything work out for me as well as possible rather than get the sale! That is what ended up happening. I can’t think of a better thing I could say about a company. I can also say that you get great personal service and guidance you might have a hard time finding elsewhere. Prices were also competitive. I will definitely return there next time I need an appliance.

From start to finish, purchasing our washer and dryer from Metropolitan Appliance was by far the best experience we've had purchasing a home appliance. From ordering, to delivery, to installation, it couldn't have gone easier or smoother. In particular, the installation team did a superb job removing our old washer and dryer from a particularly tight space in our finished basement, without any damage to the walls. As well, they brought in the new machines without any damage and had them installed within minutes. Metropolitan Appliance will certainly be the first place we look for any future appliances.

This is my second experience with Metropolitan Appliance since purchasing a home in Seattle in March 2021. This purchase (a microwave and a washer/dryer set) took longer because none of the items I wanted were in stock, but Amy chatted with me while I was shopping online, explained everything, wrote me an estimate, and sold me the appliances on the phone. This was excellent because I knew exactly what I wanted and didn’t want to go into a showroom. She kept in touch throughout the process, including when there were manufacturing/delivery delays. Then, even though I was supposed to pick up the microwave in the showroom when it came in, she arranged for it to be delivered along with the W/D installation! Installers were professional, quick, and friendly. The W/D are perfectly level, despite my non-level floors. I highly recommend Metropolitan Appliance and will continue to shop there!

Our fridge went out and we spent days going from one box store to the other and even tried Sears, Very difficult to fine a counter depth fridge with the options we wanted. I decided to check the web in the Seattle area. Within ten minutes of talking with David C we not only found the counter depth we looking for , he had it in stock and scheduled the installation two days later. We had a horror of an experience at Best Buy getting a new dishwasher. We were delayed by almost a week, and no one cared about whether or not we had our dishwasher installed. There were never any updates from them. So we cancelled and contacted Metropolitan. I spoke to Charlotte who was friendly, professional and who went the extra mile to make sure delivery was speedy. I've bought 2 sets of washers and dryers from Metropolitan in the past and had great service so they were my first choice when I needed a fridge replacement during the COVID pandemic. I went online with some measurements and they gave me an idea of what they had in stock via online chat. My family drove down to the store and Charlotte who had helped me online walked us through options and was really helpful at checking availability for us. Delivery wasn't available until over a week out which was tough (2 little kids and summer during a pandemic make a fridge pretty essential) but she said she'd try to squeeze us in. We ended up getting a Bosch fridge for a really great price (they will price match other brick and mortar stores) and they were able to deliver it a week and a half sooner than expected. The delivery was super smooth and it turns out one of the delivery people was practically my neighbor. Overall great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or buy again from Metropolitan Appliance.

Excellent customer service. I needed a new dishwasher ASAP and was able to find what I wanted on the website with "express delivery" specified and fifteen minutes later Metropolitan called to set up delivery, checked to see if I also needed install (yes please!), confirmed what the set up was in my house so they'd have the right hoses and connections, and scheduled service for the next day. The team that came out was professional and courteous, knew exactly what they were doing, took away the old appliance and installed and tested the new and then cleaned up after themselves. Masks/distancing precautions were all in place, including acceptance of delivery by a text link. I'm so glad this shop was recommended to me, and I'm not recommending them to everyone else. Shop local, and get the service you deserve!

Today we had a undercabinet wall stove installed. Although the measurements of the old and new stove matched, the overhanging tile on our kitchen counter blocked the nested installation of the new stove. Our amazing installers, Mario and Juan, went out of their way to ensure that we had a perfect installation. They developed a plan with me to remove the base of the cabinet, rebuild a new base, and install the stove. They called their office to make sure their other customers were covered, brought in supplies and spent several hours ensuring that we had a perfect installation. This was on top of excellent communication about the scheduling of the delivery, calling when they were 15 minutes out, and being super friendly and professional throughout. Totally trustworthy. In addition, our experience in the showroom with Dan was an informative and no pressure experience. This is our second experience buying from Metropolitan appliance. Several years ago we bought a dishwasher and had them install it. During the installation the drainage was configured similar to our old dishwasher. After two months the new dishwasher stopped working. I called Metropolitan appliance and their customer service was outstanding. They were empathetic and solution oriented. They sent out a repair team who figured out that the drainage needed to be reconfigured which they did gratis. Ironically, although this was technically an installation error, the professional , responsive and empathetic manner in which they took responsibility and fixed the issue impressed me much more than a bump-free installation. Character is revealed when things don’t go smoothly. I strongly recommend this business.

They really do have the best deals, are local, and make you feel confident in your selection. We thought we knew what we were looking for, but the team at Metro Appliances knew so much about all the options and recommended a different model. Delivery was easy to schedule. I bought appliances 15 years ago here. When it was time to remodel my kitchen & laundry room last summer, I was really pleased to see that this family business really keeps it going. They have the next generation at the desk now, and I am happy to report that they have kept consistent in quality and customer service. I had the pleasure of working with AARON, and I would highly recommend him. I was ready to upgrade to what I call my "big girl stove" and I am loving it. I landed with an American Range, and while I am no Tom Douglas, I definitely have been cranking out some awesomeness in the kitchen. We also purchased a washer & dryer unit. Great service! Salesman Les stopped by my home to examine our 1997 vintage Thermador 20" double oven. We discussed new oven choices, he guided me to Wolf. We selected a model and ordered it. My contractor had his carpenter enlarge the cabinetry (a few inches taller) and his electrician moved the 220V junction box to the correct location for the new Wolf double oven. The delivery/installation team arrived at the start of the 2 hour delivery window, did their work carefully and meticulously, and less than 90 minutes later we had our new oven, and the delivery team took away the 22 year old Thermador. Outstanding.

The installation crew did a fabulous job in tight spaces, carefully removing and reinstalling our door and making adjustments to fit my storage needs. Minor cleanup required after old appliances removed and there were some water spills on carpet we were able to blot mostly dry before new appliances installed. Then a little more after. But then who puts carpet in a laundry room? Hopefully one day we’ll upgrade to tile.

We bought at Metropolitan because of the many, many incredible reviews. We could never have known how lucky we were to have purchased from them. Within 2 months our brand new $4500 range broke. We had a repair person out to fix the right front burner that would not light. A month later another burner. A few months of relief and then the oven element broke. A month later, THE SAME burner broke again. Then another burner. We had 7 repairs in the first 1.2 years. At every step we had Metropolitan on our side. The pushed the horrible customer service at the oven manufacturer to help us, to no avail. After 6 repairs we had had enough but didn't know what to do. Metropolitan kept in touch with us and pushed the company to provide a new range, to no avail. Just today they called us and said that THEY are providing a full refund for our stove!! This is not something they should have to do- in fact they do not have to do this. They are really this good. I can't imagine if we had bought elsewhere. We would be in this alone. Hopefully you get a great appliance that gives you zero issues! But in that 1 in 1000 situation I hope you have bought from Metropolitan because they will not let you down. Happy Customer:)

Absolutely the best experience I've ever had buying something. The salesman had exceptional knowledge of ovens and talked me through all the details I wanted to know, yet gave zero pressure the entire time. Then when it came time to install the oven, there were several complications due to how the previous one was installed. That didn't phase the technician who was very careful as he had to make cuts to the cabinets among other things. In the end, it was installed with a perfect fit. VERY impressive! I got a really good price too, but I would also say, even if you can find a slightly better price at a big box store, I would highly recommend buying from Metropolitan Applicances. In sales, Ryan Walsh helped us find and order the ideal replacement range hood for our kitchen, which now has a beautiful Zephyr Typhoon series 42-inch hood. The installers were Mario and Juan, and both were extremely meticulous while doing a difficult installation, including their carefully cleaning old grease from the original wiring before attaching the new range hood. They left the kitchen work area clean and detailed. After shopping around, we decided to buy our washer, dryer, and fridge from Metropolitan. This was a good decision. Our sales associate, Chris Adams, was clearly very knowledgeable about the machines: the mechanisms inside, the design trade-offs between the guts of different models, etc. He knew the history of the designs as well, having been tracking their evolution, and so could tell you which brand was on their 2nd or 3rd iteration of some principle, versus which brand was just now getting caught-up. He also knew the ground-truth about getting these machines serviced: where the parts distribution centers were, what the lead-times tend to be for different manufacturers, all of that. Have you figured out yet that he used to maintain and repair these things? Anyway, he set us up with good machines at a great price. He also set us up with good installers: David and Jason were on-time, experienced, and patient. They treated my house like it was a mansion (it's not) and my machines like whey were big, heavy, faberge eggs (they're not). Now we've got working appliances, they look great, there's no dings on them or the walls, and we didn't break the bank. Seriously, why the heck would you go somewhere else? Buy your appliances from people who make a living selling and installing it. You won't regret it.

On Friday morning, my wife walked into my home office while I was on a conference call to tell me that our refrigerator was dead. I figured she was exaggerating. She was not - it was dead. Really dead. Panic ensued, as we only have a backup freezer and not an extra refrigerator. We also have a young son, so going an extended period without a working refrigerator was a non-starter. We started calling around to everywhere we could think of - big box stores, local, etc. Everyone was quoting us delivery windows of 4-6 weeks out. Enter Jim and the team from Metropolitan Appliance to save the day. We called Metropolitan Appliance during the early afternoon Friday. My wife explained our situation, gave him the measurements we could support, and asked for his opinion. Jim gave us his honest opinion about three potential options - GE, KitchenAid, or Bosch unit. He also told us that if we picked something in-stock, it could be delivered as soon as Monday! We chose a 23 cu ft KitchenAid unit which also happened to still be on Black Friday special. We gave Jim a credit card over the phone and within an hour, my wife had a text confirming our Monday 12/9 delivery window between 10:45am and 12:45pm. Fast forward to Monday at 11am and the Metropolitan Appliance truck was pulling up our driveway. David and Mauricio (apologies if I spelled your name wrong!) made quick work of hauling away our old refrigerator and then very carefully brought the new one in. They each treated my home and our new refrigerator with the utmost care - as if this was their home and their new refrigerator. Before leaving, they hooked up our water line, installed the filter, installed all of our shelving, and cleaned the unit from top-to-bottom. At least it would get to look brand new for a few hours until my son gets home from school, right? Metropolitan Appliance has earned a customer for life and we'll be referring everyone we can think of. Hopefully we won't be needing a refrigerator again anytime soon! We cannot thank Jim, David, and Mauricio enough for their help.
