We just purchased a new gas range for our home in Harlem. When I called, William Campbell answered and helped us to find the right range and set up the delivery. Furthermore, he gave us his personal cell number so that we could reach him with questions as we made our decision as to which range we would buy. In every conversation, William was courteous, warm, and knowledgeable. I cannot emphasize enough the difference William made in making this experience--buying a new, major appliance is stressful!--a more humane and, therefore, pleasant one. Thank you, William, very much for taking care of our family. Also, we have to give a shout-out to the delivery crew, who were led by Jimmy. These three individuals were also kind and very efficient. They called us when they were near our apartment and they arrived shortly thereafter. They then installed the new range with an eye towards making it look right in our home. Finally, they whisked the old range away before you could blink. Thank you William, Jimmy & his crew, and PC Richards.

I went to the Harlem store last Thursday and the first person who greet me was Mr Ibra. Told him I needed a fridge and he took me upstairs where he showed me many refrigerators but I needed one with a specific measurement and at the end Mr Ibra was patient with me while I asked questions. Mr Ibra was very professional throughout the process and advised the fridge was on backorder which was fine by me. I went to Harlem after going to the store on 86th and Broadway where not a single salesperson was on the floor and in reality they had no refrigerators of the size I was looking for. I waited 15 mins to see if a salesperson came but no one did so I left and was happy to see Mr Ibra. Ask for Mr Ibra folks. True professional just as I'm sure all the sales people are.

PC Richards has always been the best, independent store for appliances in Manhattan, and after several bad experiences, we have been careful to avoid the big chains, whose services, shall we say, has been less than personable. Yesterday, we spoke to Michael on the phone, and he guided us through appliances, patiently walked us through our options, and was present with us for two hours as we decided what fridge, dishwasher, and washer/dryer we wanted to buy. He took care of Certificates of Insurance, and worked with his manager to get the lowest price possible. We highly recommend him, and this branch (above all) of PC Richards.

I originally shopped directly on Samsung’s website, but I prefer to buy locally. I called P.C. Richard and Son (309 W 125th Street), and the amazing Michael answered the phone. He was very friendly, incredibly professional (as was everyone I encountered). Bonus points that Michael talked NBA Basketball and sneakers with us as well. I told Michael exactly what I wanted and the best price I’d found online. Not only was he able (with his Manager’s permission) to match the price, P.C. Richard and Son with Michael’s help beat the price by over $100! Our brand new 65” Samsung TV was in stock and came home with us that day. I called the store the next day and asked for Michael. When he heard my voice, his initial thought may have been that something was wrong with our TV purchase. However, I called to ask him if he had a Samsung sound bar in stock for our new TV. Once again, a lower price than I could find online was given to us. We picked up the sound bar and were able to watch our beloved Sixers almost as if we were in the stadium thanks to the amazing Michael and everyone else at P.C. Richard and Son’s store. Some unsolicited advice regarding buying TVs and soundboards: Buy the 5-year warranties. These electronics have become so complex, and the tiniest things can quickly go wrong. It may seem like a waste of money, but the peace of mind knowing such a high quality system is protected is unparalleled. P.C. Richard and Son will send a technician right to home to fix or replace your item(s). In sum, if the P.C. Richard and Son Store on 309 W 125th Street in Harlem sells it, go there and ask for Michael. He has your back and will set you up with whatever you need at an excellent price. I highly recommend buying from this location. You will not be disappointed.

My experience with this location is limited, I was asked by friends to help pick out a computer. However to my surprise, my friends already had built a rapport with a sales associate asking for him by name....I was like excuse me! I mention this because out of three computers recommended to us he didn't really go too much into the differences of each. my only complaint is that we had a rebate and the details were not entirely made clear..to our understanding from Richard it was a gift card..but instead a rebate on the anti-virus program as part of the package as I read the fine print.. As mentioned we were helped and assisted each step of the way all the way to the door as Richard and the security guard helped us strap down our unruly computer to the cart.. a decent experience overall..
