My mom and I went to Sears frequenty for my cothes and toys, when I was a kid living in Wyverwood during the late 60's to the mid 70's. Wish I could see photos of the inside of the building so I can take a walk down memory lane. I miss those days, and I miss Wyverwood, and my mom.

Carlos, the service technician, called ahead to ask what the issue was so he could be prepared. He arrived on time and proceeded to check the refrigerator, and based on what we had discussed previously, he immediately found the issue and fixed it. He replaced the broken part with original mfg. parts and finished up very quickly. He was polite, explained to me what he was doing all the time he was there and once finished he cleaned up and left. all within a very reasonable amount of time. Greta service and I highly recommend Sears Services.

He was very thorough and did an excellent job!! Compared to the last person/woman who came out to my home in January 2019 who was not helpful at all, this time in 2020, I am very pleased with the person/man who maintained by Kenmore stack-able Washer/Dryer unit last week.

Manny was the technician who diagnosed the issues with my Whirlpool refrigerator. However, it was working perfectly by the time of his visit. Manny performed maintenance on my appliance and assured me that I had 90 days to request additional service should the issues resurface. Hopefully, my refrigerator only needed some TLC and will function properly for another 5+ years! I highly recommend Sears appliance repair...it saved me from purchasing a new refrigerator!

They answer the call and do try to help but the appointment and service part is disconnected. Meaning if you make an appointment you have to call them to confirm on changes. I recently had a fridge go bad, schedule a diagnostics check and found out the part was covered by warranty but not the labor. The tech ordered the part and we schedule his return the following week. The part arrived and then the day came to get it installed and no one showed up. I called the following Monday and they told me that I was supposed to call them that the part had already arrived. Now, HTH am I supposed to know that when we already had an appointment. Long story slightly short(lol) had to reschedule and wait.
That's why the 4 stars.

However, since the technician replaced the evaporator fan, the
refrigerator is cooling better than it has in years. The technician

Even though our 1st scheduled appointment was cancelled on the same day of appointment, once the technician come to our next scheduled appointment, fridge as fixed within 5 hours! Diagnose only took 20mins. Replacement was ordered and delivered within 2hours. Tech return within the next hour to replace and done!

Everything went well from the initial call to the service. I received plenty of updates regarding the appointment via email. My only issue is that I was notified that the appointment had changed from the original time window, but a couple of hours later, it changed back to to the original. The technician was excellent. I had a microwave from Sears from 2003...it was working fine until the heating element/glass table inside was not spinning or heating food. First tech was very thorough with testing and stayed about 2 hours to figure it out even though I am sure he had a heavy schedule. He thought it could be one of two items (motherboard, latch for door and possibly another type of fuse) and ordered all the parts. The second tech figured out that it did not have to do with the motherboard, rotating engine or the latch for door..just 1 or 2 fuses. It was fixed and very happy to have such technically trained staff go the 11th mile. Also, the fact that I could set up an appt with tech 1 right there was great...I was hoping he would be the one to return but Nick came instead and problem appears to be solved.

Technician was professional and efficient in servicing the six appliances he came to do the maintenance service on. However, service for the other two were cancelled that morning. And it is unacceptable to give me a window of time from 8am to noon - and arrive at 2pm.

The serviceman was great. I had to reschedule this appointment to a second date because of overbooking. This is not a complaint about the service tech - it is about the manner in which appointments are scheduled - too many in a day which doesn't allow for the normal situations that require more time than anticipated.

The service tech that came to my home took time out to explain to me what he would be doing and why on the dryer. And on the washer, he just basically make sure it was able to go through it cycle without any problems. After the job was completed, he make sure he left the area clean.

Ultimately they did a good job but it took 2 trips and 2 weeks. The first repairman ordered a part but when the second repair man came to install he could not because the washer needed a second part which took another week to come in. It was my clothes washer and it took a while to get it right so it was a big inconvenience.

My technician was really a nice guy and figured out the problem very quickly. I was very concerned though when I questioned him about the estimate for the repair. It was $237 in labor to clear a drain in the refrigerator. I was under the impression that the $99 service fee would be included as a credit against the $237 but it wasn't. The charge is outrageous given the fact that no parts were involved and it took him about an hour for the whole process.
Will probably not use Sears repair in the future.

I'm more than happy my dryer was fixed after waiting almost 2 weeks for my appointment to arrive and $80 spend at the laundry-mat. The repair engineer was also late. My appointment was from 8am to 12pm. He called me around 11:30 am to tell me my new appointment time was from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Our old laundry center washer would not drain after a pillow exploded in the washer. The repair person explained thoroughly that because our machine was old there was a possibility of damaging the hose when removing the clog. He performed the task perfectly and we did not have to replace the hose! He was very knowledgeable and professional.

Excellent service when repairman finally arrived THE DAY AFTER I was scheduled. I was told (and warned several times beforehand) to be at home from 1 to 5 on a specific day. I cleared my calenday accordingly and waited. About 20 minutes before 5 a person calls to say he can't come. He said instead promised he would come between 10 and 11 the next morning so I wouldn't have to stay home all day again. No one appeared until about TWO the next day. He said he was not the person I had spoken to the day before as he had not worked that day. I am very pleased with his service. But SEARS service appointment department is not at a satisfactory level.

The tech, George, really knew what he was doing. He diagnosed the problem within minutes where it had taken a prior service tech (not from Sears) over an hour and then he didn't really come back with a diagnosis. Follow up was amazing - arrived when he said he would, was in phone contact to give updates on parts and then showed up and installed the failed part. Washer is like new again. Couldn't ask for better service.

I am very satisfied with the work, but unsatisfied with the process I had to go through to get it done. I was given a 4 hour window for Sears tech to come, but wasn't given 15 minutes for me to return home. My appointment window was from 1 to 5pm. The tech arrived at 1pm and left without calling my number before coming as they said they would do. Of course, they wouldn't send him back out, so I waited another week to be on the schedule. They gave me another date that would also cause me to be away at 1pm, so I asked them not to come before 1:30. This time they call at about 10 minutes to one, and we were able to agree on a workable time for us both. That is the reason for a 4-star rating instead of 5-star. A 4 hours window is a big window of time when my time is just as valuable as theirs.

The technician was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. He worked efficiently and was very nice. He replaced plastic parts with metal parts at no charge and he cleaned up after himself so that my kitchen floor (he was working on my dishwasher) was not super dirty. The only (major) downside was the lack of timeliness. The appt window was 8 am - Noon, but the technician did not arrive until 12:30p.m. The 4 hour window is crazy enough...being late is not acceptable.

I was told it would take 3 weeks for someone to come out to fix our refrigerator that is not working. Someone finally came out to fix it and had to order parts...its been 2 weeks and I havent heard from them. I called sears to follow up and they could not give me an answer but asked me to call the outside service vendor that was used. They gave me the phone number and it was disconnected.
Update:
Someone from the overflow dept took charge and helped us get someone to come out and fix the problem the next day.

I called Sears Repair service since my washer was making rattling noise and the vivration was bothering the next door neighbor.
Making online appoint was easy and quick. I could even have made one on the same day in the afternoon but I made it on the following day 1 to 5 pm.
There were several friendly reminder emails for the appoitment and the heads up mail came in when the technician was heading to my place. I thought it was very helpful since i would lije to know exactly when the person shows up within 1 to 5 pm timeframe.
The technician showed up almost right after 1 pm. He was very polite and cotecious. He immediately started analyzing and told me the cause and solutions. When I approved it he started balancing the washer drum to level. He also found that the air exaution pipe was torn. When he pulled the washer unit out from the hookup, he even helped me clean up the hookup which was filled with ton of dust.
Within 40 min or so the washer was placed in center, balanced, exaution pipe was replaced and the hookup was cleaned up.
I am very happy with the service and would recommend anyone to call Sears for repair service.

The tech phoned me 30 min. before arrival. He made the repair and explained to me and showed me (on the defective part), what was done to resolve the issue.
I have had 3 other appliances serviced by Sears in the past month. BTW, they were not Sears' products. This is for various kitchen appliances in an apt bldg. The techs all followed the same protocol and all showed up on the early side of the window-of-time that was given to me when I scheduled the appt.
The convenience of being able to order service online or by phone works well for everyone.

The repair person was friendly and speedy and tested the temperature to make certain the air conditioner was functioning properly. The only problem is he couldn't fix the rattling noise that the front panel was making.
I asked him to fix it and he said it was the installer that should have done it. I didn't like that answer.
So with little pieces of cardboard it appears to stop some of the rattling. Ridiculous for a $1,000 machine. Not good Customer Service.

We are scheduled from 1 - 5 pm but repair tech. did not arrive until almost 7:30 pm due to being scheduled for more calls that he can possible do in a day. WELL, the guy came 1 1/2 hrs after the alloted time - 1-5 pm i think. he came at 6:30. and noone let us know that he would be so late until i called and had them call the guy and then have him call me.

My dishwasher stopped working at 3 yrs so I called a Sears technician to inspect after trying to troubleshoot myself first. The first technician inspected the dishwasher (under Sears warranty) and ordered parts including a new motherboard and motor. The parts arrived at my address a few days later and the second technician arrived as scheduled a week after the first technician's visit. He installed the new motor and returned the unused parts to Sears. The whole visit took less than 30 minutes and the dishwasher is working again. Satisfied customer.

Finally, after two years of owning this dishwasher, a Sears repairman figured out why my top-rack dishes were not being cleaned. The lever (the long stick) on top was missing the rubber closure, which meant I had no water pressure on top all this time.
