Amanda S was our customer service hero! Our experience with AJ Madison has been a year long saga (from no fault of theirs - just pandemic delays), but their customer service has been top notch along the entire way. We ordered a set of appliances for our kitchen (in Tennessee) back in March 2021 and we received the first two of four in November 2021. The last two came this week, February 2022, and through a few hiccups along the way, we were always met with kindness and speedy assistance to resolve any issues, like our cooktop being cracked in transit on our range. Most recently, we ran into an issue with the rebate claim we had submitted back when we purchased the appliances. The rebate office declined our rebate (we couldn't provide serial numbers to complete the claim until they had been delivered) because they deemed our invoice inauthentic. I reached out to AJ Madison immediately to see if they could contact the rebate office and confirm our purchase as legitimate. Within a couple of hours, Amanda S had not only sent me updated invoices and replied to me ready to help, but also reached out to the rebate office directly to resolve the issue. Even our installation guys who brought our appliances commented on what outstanding customer service AJ Madison has, among all their installation clients. Despite the long delays, we would absolutely purchase from them again - all the way in Tennessee! Thank you, Amanda S and customer service team!
I have always had the most POSITIVE experiences with AJ Madison. I work mostly with Mayer and Sarah in the Brooklyn location.
Both of them are beyond helpful, very email/phone responsive if I have to reach out to them for anything.
Mayer is very knowledgeable, and anytime I need an appliance which is very often - I work in the Construction Industry... they are the first people I turn to. Mayer lets me know if I need extra parts that I didn't even know I needed or if the appliance has a long lead time, which so often happens in these pandemic times - he will suggest a more than comparable alternate. Great prices and customer service and follow-ups after delivery. I had an issue recently with something I purchased and Sarah helped me out to solve my problem, she is wonderful and goes above and beyond which is rare. I have never had a problem with them.
Deliveries are made on time and you get many calls to make sure that everything goes smoothly. The deliveries are generally early in the day which is always helpful.

I specifically needed a double oven of equal size to replace the famous workhorse Crown Ovens from the 50's. AJ Madison was the only company selling such a product amongst the wonderful selection of appliances they have to offer. The sales experience with Joseph F. was flawless. Being out of state, dealing with the AM trucking company for shipping and installation needed my full attention. Claudia from customer service at AJM was extremely efficient and responsive to all of my inquiries and needs in ensuring complete installation. I would highly recommend purchasing from AJM knowing that reliable employees like Claudia are available to ensure a smooth purchase experience.
AJ Madison is the best appliance dealer I have dealt with during years of purchasing appliances for various homes. Even though I live in Washington DC, every delivery has been seamless. Prices are always the least expensive available. And I've never had any issues with repairs. I can't say this about any of the local companies I've worked with over the years, which have pretty much had problems every time.
Recently, I purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher from AJ Madison. Communication and customer service regarding a difficult delivery up a flight of stairs was outstanding. Cheryl, the customer services representative I spoke with, was quick to respond, attentive to detail, flexible and accommodating.
Overall, I am a very happy repeat customer and will continue to rely on AJ Madison for future appliance purchases.
Had lots of issues with the delivery especially due to lack of communication between AJM and the shipping company which is based in WA state. Was about to give up and cancel the deal all together until Kellee from client support stepped in and made it all work. Couldn’t be happier with her professionalism and customer care.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher during the pandemic. After extensive delay that was expected due to the pandemic, we finally got the dishwasher. Upon opening it for installation, we saw there was a dent on the side, so the technician refused to install it. I was dreading making the call to AJ Madison to request a replacement, as these things haven't worked out seamlessly in the past. I called AJ Madison and was requested to upload pictures of the damage and submit a claim. I submitted a claim and was promptly provided feedback on the next steps. Without any delay, after the claim was reviewed by AJ Madison, I was contacted by Cheryl C to initiate a refund or a replacement dishwasher. Imagine my surprise that the whole process was so smooth and conflict free. Cheryl was extremely kind and understanding and provided instructions on here to mail the label. After they received the label, I was issued a full refund. I can't believe how easy the process was and the customer service was something you don't see these days anymore. I would highly recommend AJ Madison and a big thank you to Cheryl!!
With all the pandemic related delays, AJ Madison has been one of the few places I’ve found that has products in-stock before others and is very transparent about what they have and when it will be available. My product shipped out quickly, and when I had an issue missing the delivery (my own fault), customer service was great in getting it rescheduled promptly. It was wonderful to deal with a real person via email, and Amanda S. resolved my issue quickly and without hesitation. It was nice to have both the convenience of online shopping and the personal customer service provided by Amanda.
Great prices, and even better service. Appliance arrived on time, even though I ordered it during the height of the pandemic, and I live in MN, not NY.

It was a few months before I could install the appliance. There was a problem with a switch on the electric range when I finally installed it. Within an hour of me calling, Glenda had the repair ordered with a local appliance repair company. A few days later, the problem was resolved, at no cost to me. Outstanding!

The ordering process was easy, the prices are very competitive and delivery was impeccable. I have every confidence future purchases will be handled the same. Following the instructions provided for accepting delivery and reporting issues is clear and simple, but sometime things go wrong. Mindy, customer service rep, handled our situation with professionalism, expediency and empathy. She found a resolution! AJ Madison focuses on the customer. Thank you!
Johanna was absolutely incredible! We ordered a washer/dryer that didn’t have the proper prongs to plug into one another which we didn’t know until it was delivered. The delivery team left and said we had to figure out next steps. After a visit from an electrician, we called AJ Madison back and Johanna was able to make the situation into a positive experience. She went above and beyond, spent endless time on the phone and was consistently available to help me. She even researched all of the models to make sure the next order was going to work in my apartment. I recommend using Johanna because she will treat you like she’s one of your friends and make sure the job is done. We even got our delivery the next day. THANK YOU JOHANNA YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!!
I am thrilled to give a 5 star review for Cheryl! She saved the day for me in a very long saga of ordering and then successfully returning a defective hood for my stove (and for a full refund!!) Even though the process took some time, Cheryl stayed in touch with me, consistently reassuring me that she was going to handle the details with the vendor. She is personable and professional, and her kindness shines through. It's because of Cheryl that I will continue to be a customer of AJ Madison. She made the long process of returning my hood and getting a full refund manageable by staying in touch, never giving up to represent my interests, and for being the kind and understanding person that she is. AJ Madison is very lucky to have her on their team! I give her the very highest rating! 5 Stars Plus!!

Ordered over $10k in appliances from them, when I went to unbox and install it a month later, a very small and simple and easiyl replaceable piece was broken during shipping.
Asked them to replace it, and they told me that I needed to contact the manfacturer instead.
Stay AWAY! Worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I have a 12 year old washer that needs service but I couldn’t find my original invoice so I called AJ Madison where I bought it. This company is a breeze to deal with and I was skeptical about buying a large appliance online. I did my research and trusted my gut so I made a decision to do it. No regrets here. I’m about 80 miles away. No problems to report.
I was pleased then and now. The employee named Emily was pleasant, efficient and helpful. She emails me my receipt whilst I was still on the phone with her. That’s amazingly quick and an excellent experience. I recommend this company big time. I usually buy local but hey sometimes you take a chance and it pays off. 5 STARS
I recently bought a set of appliances from AJ Madison. I had a helpful and courteous sales person and delivery also went very smoothly. The manufacturer, however, included an incorrect part with my range. I contacted the manufacturer and ran into a long call wait time. So, I reached out to AJ Madison but not expecting them to do much since it was not their error. Just the opposite happened! Sarah S. went above and beyond to correct the problem. She made numerous phone calls on my behalf to the manufacturer while updating me regularly on her progress. Her professionalism, attentiveness, pleasantness, patience and tenacity brought the whole matter to a good conclusion. With such excellent customer service, I would highly recommend AJ Madison! While I was initially concerned about purchasing a new set of kitchen appliances from an online retailer across state lines, I was very pleased with my experience with AJ Madison. On the sales side, they called me after I placed my order to go over all the details and make sure my order was accurate. When I discovered a dented microwave, the customer service was excellent. With a minimal amount of emails and phone calls they quickly sent me a replacement at no extra cost. They were always fast to reply and professional. I would buy from them again in the future.
We ordered a nice Samsung fridge. The reason they get 3 stars is the fridge arrived undamaged and the day that was stated. They lost 2 star because the service was very poor through the waiting and delivery process. Inaccurate time of delivery stated on their site at ordering, long waits on phone, inaccurate/inconsistent info from customer service, and delivery experience was very poor. During the delivery, we were investigating the fridge for damage and the delivery guy (AM Shipping) left very quietly (let's call it sneaked out) while we were looking at the fridge. As soon as I saw he left, I went to the front door and they were taking off. They also left the box in our yard without saying anything. We would haven't cared if they had just said "where do you want the box?" and we would have tipped if they had just stuck around. AJ - your CSR team and delivery team aren't a good representation for your company.
I am so grateful for Emily Glaser's customer service!! She has always been so kind and responsive. We received most of our order which consisted of a refrigerator, wall oven and dishwasher, but due to supply chain issues, we still have not received our range. Emily has been so good about checking into the progress and communicating with me. We hope to receive our range soon but know that Emily will follow up until our order is fulfilled!!
The faucets I ordered were discontinued by the manufacturer. That's not AJ Madison's fault, but the faucets were still on the AJ Madison website for purchase, so I wonder if there's a way to remove discontinued items? In any case, I received an email from Emily in customer service letting me know my items were no longer available and giving me options for what I wanted to do. I opted to cancel the order, and within a few minutes I had a full refund. Emily was efficient, polite, and very helpful. She made the transaction pleasant and easy. Emily gets 5 stars, but I'm giving the overall experience 4 stars because I'm slightly disappointed that I don't have faucets now and have to start looking again. But based on the customer service I received, I would still shop with AJ Madison again.
Had a little confusion on my order which gave me a chance to interact with a several of the AJ Madison team members, mostly Cheryl and Maria. Wow!! This company does Customer Service with excellence. My new washer arrived quickly in perfect condition. Their shipper is excellent in communication. Excellent experience overall. Definitely recommend this firm!
AJ Madison provided the worse service experience I have ever encountered. I’m 80, so they had a major mountain to climb, but climb to the top they did. This is the sequence of blunders in delivering and installing a washer dryer to a condo in Manhattan.
1. No show and no communication that they hadn’t shown up.
2. Showed up but just left the washer/dryer on the floor. They claimed there wasn’t enough space to install it. (There was, I measured). No communication, again.
3. Installed the washer dryer but didn’t install the drip pan – just left it on the floor.
4. Agreed to reduce installation fee by 50%, which was fair. Also said they would send a UPS label to return the drip pan. Didn’t send UPS label.
5. After another call, which was terminated twice after a long wait with the message “the person hasn’t set up voice mail,” they sent UPS label. The representative said I would get a refund once they received the package. I told her that I bet I would have to call back to get the refund.
6. I waited a week and won the bet. I called back and was told the refund would be immediately posted.
7. I waited another week and called back as the refund had not posted. This time, four days later, it did.
Also, AJ Madison asked me to fill out their customer satisfaction form. I did with a write up very similar to above, minus points 6 & 7. They said they wouldn’t post it because it didn’t meet their standards.
Can you beat this with a worse customer service story?
This is an update after the owner's response. Kellee called from AJ Madison and couldn't have been more pleasant and apologetic. She asked what AJ Madison could do to turn the relationship around and I said very little given the service experience was behind us. She then, without a request by me, provided a very nice $250 gift card which I could use on small appliances on their website. That was a very classy action.
Shopping at AJ Madison for an appliance was the best and easiest I have ever had in all my 83 years. They have a really good web site and I was able to get an idea of what would fit my needs. I went to the store to order and the sales person Meyer was very helpful and knowledgeable. They had the item in stock. I got emails every step of the way from purchase to delivery. The delivery was perfect. They came on the day and within the time frame they promised, I even got an email that told me a that delivery would be in the next 20 minutes and it was. When I had a question Jessica at customer service was super. Answered all my questions with respect to the return of an installation kit that it turned out I did not need. When I need another appliance AJ is the only place I will go to.
I had a good experience. Our dryer was shipped quickly. It did arrive with damage. Not unusual in this day and age. AJ Madison and particularly Cheryl made things easy and she was very helpful. We quickly came to a mutually agreeable resolution. I would order again with out hesitation. The dryer is exactly as described and we are quite pleased.
Cheryl C saved the day! I had a great experience ordering an entire appliance package from AJ Madison. Everything was delivered as promised. However, we had one accessory item that was damaged in shipping. That’s where Cheryl came in. She sent me a return label to return the damaged pieces and promptly ordered replacement pieces and sent them out for me. I could not be happier with her customer service and assistance. She was extremely attentive with email communication.
I would highly recommend AJ Madison for your appliance purchases. They have the customer service to back it up.
We purchased appliances for our kitchen renovation project from AJ Madison. What we really appreciated was that we were able to buy everything we wanted through them and we didn't have to deal with several vendors. Our salesperson Mark was a total professional and an absolute pleasure to work with!
What was not so easy was waiting for the appliances to arrive.
We were prepared for this, but not for how long it actually took.
The project had to be delayed and coordinated to start when we knew we were able to get some of the appliances delivered.
While that might sound like a nightmare, it wasn't. We knew we had to be flexible and came up with back-up plans to keep the kitchen operational while we waited.
Our patience paid off when the last items arrived and were installed yesterday. (This was shy of a year of waiting!) While this wait was wholly on the manufacturer, I have to say that Cheryl and Mark were extremely responsive to all our inquiries. Cheryl came in to help when the last items were ready to be delivered and the manufacturer didn't include a critical piece needed for the installation. We had to decline delivery until that piece arrived. Cheryl was on top of everything -- every step of the way -- and kept us apprised of what was going on. This was so appreciated and made a frustrating situation tolerable. She is a true problem solver with exceptional customer service skills and she even stayed in communication with us even after the installation was complete.

I bought a Maytag washer/dryer stack from AJ Madison. On my first run, the machine vibrated violently causing an error indicating the control boards were bad. Unable to get the replacement parts from Maytag/Whirlpool, both through their authorized service company and directly by myself, and after a yearlong frustration, I finally gave up.
I contacted AJ Madison for a refund.
Luckily Vanessa handled my case. Things went really smoothly, opposite to the yearlong nightmare from Maytag/Whirlpool I experienced.
AJ Madison sent a truck to pick up the non-working machine and yesterday I received a full refund for the purchase price.
Vanessa was very pleasant and efficient throughout the entire situation. She restored my confidence in AJ Madison and I don’t mind purchasing from them again.

Earlier this fall, we ordered two appliances from AJ Madison -- a range and a refrigerator. Both weren't supposed to arrive for months because of delays in the supply chain and shipping. Both arrived within weeks.
Our salesperson was Rob Schwadel. He was exceptional. He answered all of our questions, responded to emails promptly, and returned phone calls in a timely manner.
When it came time for delivery of each item (which arrived separately two weeks apart), he made sure everything was in order prior to the delivery, the day of delivery, and following delivery.
Thanks for making this such a pain-free and positive experience.

My experience with this company was ok. My appliances were delayed from the manufacture and when finally arrived I had two separate deliveries; not sure why. However my experience with customer service rep, Kaitlin was just superb. I missed my rebate deadline because it wasn’t made clear to me that I had to submit the rebate by a certain date even if the appliances were not delivered. Kaitlin was able to find me another rebate as well as submit the required paperwork for me. I really appreciated her assistance and feels she deserves 5 stars. Thanks again Kaitlin.
After having a horrible experience with a competitor it was a pleasure to deal with AJ Madison. Their communication was great and very accurate. Denise was wonderful - she was very quick to respond to any and all questions I had. Received my washer dryer in a timely manner and delivery company was great!!!!!
AJ has some of the best sales team. We were looking for a new refrigerator, and some other items. Other stores selling the same items were very unhelpfull. However Bobby over at AJ was fantastic. Helpful and made great recomendations. Highly recommended.
We ordered a new range through AJ Madison. When the original order was made we asked for a white range with brass trim. Right around November 2021 the range was delivered finished and white with bronze trim. We immediately contacted AJ Madison with disappointment as the rest of our kitchen is finished and brass. Knobs handles sink etc. etc. It is July 20, 2022 and we still have not received the brass trim that we originally ordered. However, I will say that Sarah S and Stacy from AJ Madison have stayed in contact and have been very diligent in trying to rectify the situation. I have sent them somewhere in the area of 40 emails and they’ve answered every time. They had a very difficult time getting the brass knobs and handles from the manufacturer to us. We also hit roadblocks trying to get the brass trim from the manufacturer. The end of the story is we never received the brass knobs and handles for our new range. We now have a kitchen decor finished in all brass with bronze trim on our stove. We are very disappointed. We had about given up completely and Sarah S and Stacy offered the total cost of what the brass trim would be. They have issued a check for that amount. At the end of the day we certainly would rather have the brass trim but I think that the majority of companies would’ve dropped the ball quite a while ago and we would be left with nothing. So this review as disappointing as the situation was is more positive than negative We appreciate everything that AJ Madison Sarah and Stacy have done to at least lighten the blow of not getting or having what we wanted. The amount of the refund if we want to continue to research will pay fully for the nine brass knobs and three brass handles for our new range. Bought our dishwasher from AJ Madison a year ago. Needed to repair it a year later and with supply chain issues insurance decided better to just replace the whole dishwasher. AJ Madison has been great -- from Julio A in repairs who was great at helping us navigate this, and Michael S. in phone sales who helped us find a replacement dishwasher and set up installation, to Emily G in Customer Service. I really appreciate all the help and guidance navigating this replacement and would happily return to AJ Madison for next appliance purchase.
While I agree with some of the reviews below, I am giving four stars because of my experience with two people in particular at AJ Madison. The first is a salesman named Abie who was wonderful. He has so much knowledge and experience and helped me find the just the right appliances for my needs. The second is Stacey in customer service who was AMAZING. After a series of problems with the delivery and installation services that were outsourced to another company, I was directed by Abie to work with Stacey to solve the problems. Stacey is the best customer service representative I have worked with at any company, not just AJ Madison. Not only does she have patience with and empathy for the customer, she knows exactly how to solve the toughest problems that arise (in my case the fault of outside vendors rather than AJ Madison). AJ Madison stands behind its products and Stacey made sure to have a representative from AJ Madison present to oversee a new installation when an appliance had to be returned that had a defect and wasn't installed properly. When things were promised but not delivered (again the fault of the outside vendor), Stacey stood behind the promise and had everything corrected. Without Stacey, my rating would have lower; with Stacey, I will only shop at AJ Madison in the future for major appliances. AJ Madison and its customers are very lucky to have someone like Stacey.
UPDATE: AJ Madison went to bat with the Manufacture, and was able to get a rebate for the failed and unrepairable dryer. Appreciate their help.
Purchased a ventless dryer from AJ Madison and had problems from the start. Didn't dry clothes, vent clogged, called AJ they pointed us to Whirlpool. Whirl pool send a repair guy ($400) world for 2 weeks, then failed again. New repair guy who said: "do not repair this, it will never work, the venless models don't work, should be recalled). AJ blaims Whirpool, Whirpool says 1 year warantee, sorry. It's going to the dump. Waste - very sad.
AJ Madison is the very best kitchen appliance company I have ever worked with. After unsuccessfully searching many websites looking for a particular product for my kitchen, I contacted Emily at AJ Madison's customer service. Emily took over the search, contacted the manufacturer & found the product I wanted, plus other options she thought I might like. She was over-the-top helpful, diligent & courteous, while other companies just told me
"Sorry". AJ Madison carries the best products and sticks with you to make sure you are satisfied. You can't beat that.
I purchased a dishwasher from here. My front panel was damaged when we unpacked it. After trying to get it resolved I ended up talking with Brittney. She was amazing. Not only was the issue resolved, she kept following up until it was installed. I highly recommend AJ Madison, but Brittney as well. Thank you so much Brittney, you're the Best.
We went with AJ Madison when we needed a new refrigerator, as it was a better overall experience (helpfulness at the store, delivery speed, price) than we had at big box stores. However, this 5 star review is specifically for Sarah, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a speedy resolution to an issue with our delivery. We're so appreciative of how responsive and accommodating Sarah was, and we'll definitely be back when we need new appliances in the future!
I rarely ever leave reviews but this experience has led me to write one. I ordered a side-by-side washer and dryer on a Tuesday and forgot to read the reviews... I felt anxious over my order due to the copious amount of negative reviews that I ended up calling customer service the Thursday after I ordered. Just to ask the approximate delivery time and ask some questions. After calling I found out that the set I ordered was indeed on back order and would take a very long time to get to me. However Brittany (my customer service representative) was EXTREMELY helpful. She found a washer and dryer similar to the ones I tried to order and swapped them out for a different set that was for sure in stock and would get to me in the next week. Brittany was very knowledgeable on how to help me and made me feel much more assured in my order.
I am being told it will be shipped tomorrow and hopefully be here in the next week! *fingers crossed*
The only thing I suggest for this company is to put on their website when appliances are on back order to avoid complaints about long delivery times.
From the beginning my experience with A.J.Madison has been positive. Most recent I contacted customer support regarding status of my order and delivery. Kaitlin immediately understood my interest and after reviewing my order determined not all appliances were immediately available but arranged for delivery of those available with the remaining item scheduled for a later date at no additional expense. Thanks Kaitlin!
Leah was very helpful in assisting me to procure an in-stock washer and dryer as the one I had purchased was suddenly out of stock with no known availability ( my account sure was charged for the purchase of the unavailable item.)
Leah offered in- stock replacement options immediately. I appreciated her assistance and found a satisfactory alternative. The selling of an out of inventory item is not her fault . She did what she could proactively to solve the problem immediately. I sincerely appreciate her timely assistance.
Overall a positive experience. We made it hard by screwing up our credit card and then asking to change our warranty after our items shipped, and they were 100% amenable to everything. Customer service rep Jessica Stein was a wonderful help in making those changes on the fly, and she made the experience smooth and easy.
I ordered a dishdrawer and a stainless sink from AJ Madison, but the receipt on the confirmation of order listed a non-existent address as a billing address, and the receipt listed only 20% of the order having been paid for leaving a substantial balance. I phoned customer service and spoke with Stella Cutler, who patiently listened to me and quickly investigated. She changed the billing address and immediately pushed the order through the process and got it shipped out the day of my call. Good work, Stella! Thank you.
Claudia, Emily, and Johana all made AJ MADISON Easy to do business with. We have been repeat business customers for years and in our recent order we had a fridge that did not turn on as well as other items with damage from transit. This was not something we had to deal with before, but no worries this team stood by us without issue and fixed the problem without us needing to stress about it. They made us feel valued and cared. My wife and I were looking for a small freezer. We searched nationwide to find one that met our needs. Our search landed us on AJ Madison. When we called to place our order, we found out that the item we wanted was sold out and not being made anymore. The person we talked to pointed us toward a similar item. We checked its specs and quickly checked its reputation. It fit our needs. Great work on the part of the initial salesperson. When it arrived however, the lead person on the delivery pointed out that the item had been significantly damaged during shipping. We had to return it. I know that some people complain on this site about AJ Madison and returning items. We had no issues with the return or with the refund of our money. Everything went as smoothly as it could, with the exception of the damage that happened beyond their control. Ortal helped us and took care of our problem quickly.
AJ Madison is the best appliance dealer! I have found that the very best thing about AJ Madison is Cheryl C!! I have dealt with other companies in purchasing appliances over the past years for various homes. Even though I live in Gadsden, Alabama, each item that I have ordered has finally been delivered, (THANKS TO CHERYL C! Prices are always the least expensive available.
I purchased a Sidekick refrigerator / freezer, dishwasher, range, trash compactor and microwave drawer from AJ Madison. We had to deal with Covid during all of this!! Communication and customer service regarding difficulties in some deliveries came up and then is was Cheryl C to the rescue!!
If it wasn't for Cheryl, I truly believe we would still be waiting on a few appliances from my order!

Purchased a GE refrigerator from AJ Madison. It was delivered timely, but had a scratch on one of the stainless doors. Delivery guys said no problem, they would take care of it. Took some time to get it replaced, but Brittany was awesome in helping get it replaced and she ended up getting GE to replace the refrigerator with a brand new one. Great job Brittany!
Excellent costumer service. I purchased a fridge and a freezer and they got damaged during the shipping. One of the costumer service supervisor named Brittany helped me out. She went above and beyond, offered me a refund for the damages, and even scheduled a technician. Everything was handled really fast.

Jessica was perfect- issued a credit and helped me with a manufacturer's rebate- clear, fast and accurate. I'm very satisfied with AJMadison generally, and their customer service people in particular- my positive experience buying a stove a year ago made them the go-to when I just replaced a dishwasher- delivered to a NYC apartment with a COI requirement and strict delivery guidelines. A quality company in my view.
Giving a three star rating only because we had to wait on hold for over an hour to speak with someone from customer success. But once I was finally connected, Kaitlin from the customer service team went above and beyond to help resolve an issue with the wrong item that was delivered. She was professional and responsive in determining the best solution for her customer. In can be nerve racking when something goes wrong and having to deal with a large company / automated phone system when trying to get in touch with people post placing an order.
We bought our stacked washer and dryer. The sales representative was well informed with the product line. We had an issue with the installation. The customer service representative, Stacey reached out to me seeking feedback. I explained the trouble we had during the installation, she acknowledged the error and issued a refund along with an apology. AJ Madison has probably the largest selection of appliances in stock.
Bobby Schneider was so helpful and professional. My refrigerator broke and he helped me buy an out-of-box model to hold me over until my 48" replacement refrigerator could be delivered. He found one being delivered three months later (not bad in this supply-chain- issues era) and lined up the perfect team to get the old one out and the new one in. I am so grateful for all of his help.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator and LG hood from AJ Madison in May 2021 and both arrived with damaged parts. We submitted a claim but nothing came of it, despite our repeated requests. Finally Cheryl came across our file and took the initiative to reach out and schedule the parts replacement and partial refund. We had just about given up and were going to write off AJ Madison for good, but we're really impressed with Cheryl's initiative and responsiveness. We give her service 5 stars.
I ordered three commercial washing machines and one of them was damaged prior to delivery. I immediately filed damage claim and received a response from AJ Madison. Emily was very helpful in getting my matter taken care of in a timely manner.
This was my first time dealing with AJ Madison. I needed a new drop in induction cooktop. Found a Frigidaire with good price and guaranteed fit rebate. Bought it. AJ sent tons of emails about delivery status and was fair on cost. I had a billing question and got an RI(real intelligence) customer rep Stella Cutler on the line. She was thorough and attentive. Very adept at answering my questions. In a world of artificial intelligence and worthless interactive AI CHATS. MY dealing with Stella, aka the real intelligence(RI), proves the asset to a company. A lot of companies use AI to save money. But my money is on the companies that use RI. MOST people prefer real people. However the is a generation of people who only know AI . What a shame. Thanks Stella and AJ Madison for keeping humanity in the corporate world alive!!!!!!!
I had a problem with the installation of a new stackable Bosch 300 series washer and dryer I had purchased. The dryer was shooting water from the back of the dryer. Rachel F. was very responsive when I called for resolution of the problem. She immediately contacted the delivery concierge and arranged for a check of the installation within 2 days. She did all within her realm to have a team come to my residence to resolve the issue. I appreciate her assistance and her concern to resolve the issue.

Kinda surprised about all the negative reviews. As a retired kitchen designer in NYC their prices were hard to beat. I’ve purchased both a Bosch refrigerator and DW on separate occasions for myself and both were delivered without delay. Very pleased.
A slide-in induction range arrived with cosmetic damage to the side of the unit. When I informed AJ Madison of the damage Vanessa immediately offered me an appropriate credit. There is also a burner not working properly and Amanda promptly scheduled a local service company to address the issue. That service company has not followed up on the service request so I’m holding back on the fifth star until the unit is functioning properly. Thank you ladies.
I have had 2 great experiences with AJ Madison. When local stores had long backorders for appliances I needed they were in stock with free shipping at AJ Madison. My most recent experience with ileana was awesome. I needed assistance with my order pickup and she went above and beyond in getting it arranged and following up. I have order several times from AJ Madison and never had any issues with shipment. Ordered a replacement microwave & trim kit and kept getting told the trim kit was on backorder yet online it showed as in stock. After reaching out several times to no avail, I finally got connected to a customer service rep by the name of Rivky Kaufman who was able to help and got my order processed the same day.
Dawn has been a pleasure to work with she stepped right in to help me with my dishwasher replacement when Samsung wouldn’t. She replaced my appliance for original price I paid without any hassle. Thus far my experience with her has been great! Keep up the good customer service Dawn.
michelle offered terrific customer service when my 3 month old icemaker purchased from AJ Madison broke. because no one in our area services this item, i am receiving a new one. i have purchased a new fridge and freezer, washer/dryer and bar fridge from AJ Madison during the pandemic. they made the purchase and delivery of these appliances seamless and easy.
I ordered a Z-line oven from AJ Madison. The initial request was for gas-only, but unfortunately, the dual-electric oven came instead. The staff at AJ Madison (Sarah S.) was very helpful in addressing our concerns, making the process to replace the oven seamless. Big thanks to the AJ Madison team for making a stressful situation quite comfortable. Will definitely use AJ Madison again.
I am writing this review in 2 parts and giving them a rating that is the average of the 2. We purchased a stand alone freezer and stand alone refrigerator from AJ Madison when our freezer recently broke. We had to buy both pieces b/c we have the professional series from Frigidaire and it's the only ones that fit in our built in space (they have to match one another). We chose AJ Madison because their website showed it was in stock and that we could get the product on July 25 if we ordered that day (July 14) after we punched in our zip code to get a date. We were also sent a confirmation that the product would ship within 24 hours. The product was not shipped for 4 days at which point our estimated delivery became July 27-Aug 1 with no ability to track where the appliances actually were within the shipping process. I was willing to live with that because frankly, what choice did I have, but then upon checking again on July 26, the estimated dates showed Aug 2-11.
I called AJ Madison to cancel our order. I was initially told that the dates I was given by the website didn't conform to their "fine print" and did I check that. First of all, had I known there was fine print, I wouldn't have chosen to order from them in the first place. But even their fine print only showed that deliveries to areas outside the NY Tri State area would be 1-2 weeks. Secondly, why would anyone think to check for other print if the point of the website was to enter your zip code which would clearly tell their system where you were located and how far outside the tri state area? So I pointed this back out and also relayed that they failed to meet their 24 hour ship by commitment and that even if I accepted their 1-2 week fine print, that would only put us at July 28 which they were way further out than. I also let them know that we called that night to ensure that the product was in stock and that the July 25 date would hold and were assured it would.
This begins the 2nd part of my review which is for our customer service rep Micheal H. I could tell that when I first started our call, he was reading from his script of what he is supposed to tell customers. He told me to check the fine print, he told me that to cancel the product would be a 35% restocking fee (on a $7500 fridge/freezer) and that refund would not occur till they received the product back. I very frankly told him how ludicrous it was to expect me to not only pay a restocking fee on an item they guaranteed and then couldn't fulfill but to wait for them to get the item back to their warehouse when the shipping was their entire problem to begin with and since you can't track the package, we would quite frankly never know if it arrived back. Micheal did an about face at some point and very professionally asked me for the time to research this situation and get back to me with a resolution. And he did just that. He called me back and emailed me (unheard of by so many customer service reps). In the end, he was able to cancel my order, not charge a restocking fee, and get a refund to us within 3-5 business days. Exactly as a reputable company should. He communicated frequently and well during that time and I appreciate him to no end. He deserves a promotion from AJ Madison as he is the type of person that would keep a customer from running far and wide and spreading their opinion to all they can. I am so very thankful that Micheal was who answered the phone when I called and that he was able to work his magic to do what was right.

We purchased 3 kitchen appliances from AJ Madison. While the salesman, Mendy, was very difficult for us to reach, the other customer service reps were very responsive. Dawn, in particular, resolved a billing error quickly and politely. She deserves the 5 star rating.
I have always had amazing help from the people at AJ Madison. I’ve purchased three appliances from them with no trouble. I might have to wait because the supply is low, but that’s the nature of the beast at the moment. Emily G. Has been excellent to work with.
I ordered a Haier fridge, water line, and ice maker. It took a long time to arrive but the world is basically on fire right now, so I don't blame the company for that. The ice maker was not delivered at the time of the fridge installation, but the water line was. The men who installed my fridge said that they could not install the water line, since 'It does not fit in this model of fridge " According to the website, it does fit. I emailed a wonderfully helpful woman named Emily who scheduled another company to come by and install the ice maker, once it arrived. When the second pair of men came by to install the fridge, they also said they cannot install the ice maker. I emailed Emily again and she got it figured out. Finally, the last pair of two men came to my house yesterday and installed the water line and ice maker. From start to finish, it took 2 months to complete the ice maker installation (1 month for the fridge alone). Again, with the transportation delays in the world, I try to understand how long it all took. Overall, Emily & AM Madison made it right and I always appreciate that.
The Bosch Fridge I wanted was sold out elsewhere or had a 5 month waiting period for delivery. AJ had it to me in just 48 hours. A glass shelf was broken in transit but Claudia in Customer Service got me a new one quickly and communicated through the process. Overall a happy customer.
They delivered (especially Emily). I was having trouble finding a Miele accessory and AJ Madison was the only company who had it in stock. Delivery was promised in two days … but did not happen. I contacted AJM and Emily took charge, contacted the warehouse, apologized, and the item was delivered the next day. I realize things can slow down (especially around the holidays) but Emily made sure everything was quickly resolved. Way to go!
UPDATE:
Post-Delivery: Dryer wound up damaged during shipping (part of back was cracked). AJ arranged an LG tech to repair , but he was unprofessional, seemed to be "winging it" during the repair, not really certain about how this unit was put together. He wound up making the machine worse which then required a separate, additional, repair for a completely new issue (he put machine back together wrong). After contacting AJ again, we eventually made the issue right and I am satisfied with their customer service.
Initial review before receiving units
Customer Service (Emily) has been very attentive in answering my questions about delivery and scheduling. Prices were competitive for items that were out of stock elsewhere. Easy access to rebates right within your order details. I can't comment yet on the actual delivery scheduling experience itself nor the condition of the items, but I'm not expecting any issues. We have to remember with delivery, some things are out of our control!
I am an architect and we have work with AJ Madison on a few projects. We are very pleased with the selections they offer, their rapid and careful delivery, their ability to find immediate excellent appliances within their warehouses for products that are not readily available, and their willingness to cooperate with substitutions when field conditions require. I am especially impressed with the skills of Gavriella from Sales, and both Stacey and Kaitlin from the Showroom.
Jessica from customer service helped me resolve some issues I was having. I unfortunately had called multiple times and was not getting any answers about an appliance ordered that I had to refuse because of a broken drain line. As soon as I got on the phone with her, she was tremendously helpful, and got me the resolution I needed on my order.
Jonathan was the sales person that assisted me twice in getting a dishwashing machine, he was very helpful and I also appreciated his help.

Ordered close to 20k in appliances from them. Delivery was communicated and on time. One of the appliances shipped was incorrect and they were quick to pick up and supply the correct one w/o a hassle. In addition a trim kit was backbordered and when shipped got lost, but they took responsibility and supplied a replacement at no cost. I worked with Emily in customer service on the back end and she was prompt and helpful. Overall pleased with the entire process

Customer Service Rep Jessica was extremely helpful as resolving my issue. We ordered a refrigerator and I thought it would be delivered in 7-10 business days. Evidently that was 7-10 business days from the time it arrived at the final delivery terminal, not the AJ Madison warehouse. We were going to be out of town for a week. To cancel the order came with a 33% restocking fee and to have the destination warehouse hold it "may" incur storage fees. Jessica called the final destination warehouse and asked that they deliver before we left town and confirmed that they could...and they did. Thank you Jessica!
We purchased Blomberg stacking washer/dryer in March. In July, the washer was malfunctioning. We are happy, however, with the service provided by AJ Madison to resolve the repair/replacement of the unit. At first, we tried to repair it. But because of the uncertain timeframe for the arrival of the parts, AJ Madison facilitated the agreement for a replacement. Shout out, in particular, to Brittany of AJ Madison. She was a reassuring voice in updating us of the status of the order and its delivery. New washer is installed and we're busy catching up on lots of laundry. Thank you Brittany! :)
My company is a Miele service company, and when we find a Miele Dishwasher that is long in tooth or just unfeasible to repair, we replace it locally from some of the bigger appliance companies in the area. Lately getting a Miele Dishwasher is about like finding a hens tooth - so we turned to AJ Madison and although hesitant about ordering just in case there was a damage issue with shipping the product. We ordered and installed 3 units within a month with no issues - then just before Thanksgiving - what I was dreading happened, one of our orders came in damaged. I contacted customer service and after a few emails back and forth a solution was found - no hassle - no on the phone for hours with no result. Emily asked a few questions, and she helped me look at other models that were in stock and ready to ship. Very good customer service. I know as a servicer how heated customers can get - especially during the Holidays - treat people with respect and they will do the same. I was a little leery of purchasing appliances online vs. a local retailer. Jonathan walked me through the process, and I was very impressed by his knowledge and helpfulness.
Fast forward to when one of the items came, the box was badly damaged. I installed the unit, and it was not functioning. I called in and spoke with Glenda. Initially she suggested that someone could come to repair, but when I explained that I purchased a new unit, and I didn't want a repaired one, Glenda arranged to get a new unit shipped out. I haven't received the new unit yet, but I'm impressed with their customer service so far.
I have been purchasing appliances many times in the past couple years and my salesperson Mandy is terrific. Very quick responses.
If there is ever any problems, they are on it right away. Claudia in parts and service is fantastic also in resolving any issues with damages, missing parts, etc.
This 5-star review is primarily for the quality of customer service we received from AJ Madison *especially Brittany in the Parts & Service department* in going the extra mile to resolve an issue with sourcing us an accessory for an induction cooktop we purchased from AJ Madison that was advertised to be included (but was not delivered) with the model we bought. Because the cooktop we purchased was discontinued soon after we bought it (a word of possible caution that perhaps AJ Madison is not selling the latest models...), the accessory mat that was advertised to come with the one we got was replaced with another color mat that changed the look entirely. We contacted the manufacturer who said they no longer had in stock any of the mats we were looking for, but when we asked AJ Madison to follow up, Brittany worked her magic and got them to source and send one to us, free of charge.
Brittany in customer service helped resolve a complicated order issue. Helping to track down my items and make the changes I needed to complete my home renovation.
Love the passion to help customers get the items they really need. Highly recommend.
I bought a beautiful Fisher & Paykel stove from AJ Madison and we had some trouble with hooking it up to the gas line but with the help and guidance of Cheryl Cucco, we got it resolved. I don't write many reviews, but AJ Madison is an excellent choice for appliances. I just purchased about $10,000 worth of appliances from them, after previously buying appliances from them in 2017. This time I needed to contact customer service; I found that Stella Cutler was exceptionally helpful.
Great prices and great service! Especially Stella Cutler in billing who worked through all the steps to get the order paid and moving. The entire team at AJ Madison did well. Very happy, will order again.
After numerous calls over the past few months and a routinely horrible customer service experience, I was especially pleased to work with Adrienne earlier today. She listened and checked into the issue I presented and came up with a viable solution. Overall, customer service is really very poor, but today, because of Adrienne, it was exemplary. Be thankful you hired her because I certainly am.
So far I’m very pleased with my ordering experience. I had a somewhat complicated order (changed my mind about which dishwasher I wanted after ordering), and Rivky was very prompt and helpful in adjusting my order and shipping me the item I wanted. I’ve also noticed that AJM seems to have a lot of models in stock that are unavailable elsewhere, which makes shopping a lot easier.
ileana was very helpful in looking into my order. Even though it stated the JennAir range top was in stock with an expected delivery date, that was not accurate. I would be careful when purchasing from this website since it does not appear to be honest in what is actually available. I'm sure I am not the only customer that has experienced these issues especially during these difficult times with the global supply chain. ileana was able to suggest an in stock replacement, but unfortunately, it just was not what I truly wanted. I ended up cancelling the order but appreciated the positive customer service experience. For this, I will give AJ Madison another chance when I am in the market for new home appliances.

I am writing regarding our experience with AJ Madison's support team, specifically Stacey A. We ordered a Hestan microwave/convection oven. We kept trying to track the shipment without success. Customer service reps gave me different answers and "solutions" which did not help. We found out later the shipper ultimately lost the package. Although others in customer service were not helpful, when I talked to Stacey, she was knowledgeable, confident and took charge of the situation. She even followed up with an email in case there were other issues. She cancelled the original order, re-ordered and we received our oven. Thank you Stacey A for your above and beyond service - others in customer service need to follow your example and I hope those who are your supervisor recognize your accomplishments.
Dealing with AJ Madison exclusively using online ordering has been a pleasure. The majority of items purchased are hight end and high priced items unable to be purchased at most retailers. I am always grateful for their customer assistance and delivery process is flawless.
I recently purchased a Lynx grill. When it was installed one of the four igniters did not work. I contacted Customer Service and spoke with Glenda. Our customer service representative, Cheryl, was very helpful in addressing damage that occurred to our appliance during shipping. She helped coordinate replacement of three glass shelves insides an under counter refrigerator, and the replacements were received promptly.

For me, I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl C. who was my customer service representative. I didn't know what kind of response I would get since my complaint was related to my "Appliance Specialist" who essentially disappeared without any warning or comment.
Cheryl was very professional on one hand, asked pertinent questions, listened and investigated for the facts [including listening to many previous phone interactions]. Cheryl continued her investigation past 5pm on a Friday of a National Holiday! The outcome was fair and well orchestrated while preserving any judgement toward myself or the Appliance Specialist.
I shared with Cheryl that this was so heartwarming for me. We have all have seen the aftermath of social changes related to every business being short staffed and those who are working are still suffering depression, resentment etc from loss, isolation and, if they did continue to work... having to work the job of at least 2-3 people ect.
So, thank you Cheryl C. You were and are a breath of fresh air. I know you will be successful. I hope your managers and/or supervisors can see what I have seen.

We have purchased a number of appliances from A J Madison including a Thermador built-in refrigerator and gas cook-top. Our most recent purchase of a SMEG built-in oven did not go as smoothly as all the other purchases as the appliance came defective from the manufacturer. This was not A J Madison's fault. Replacing it would be expensive as I did not chose A J Madison's installation option. I worked with Amanda S. at A J Madison who arranged for SMEG's repair service to come and fix it within a week and they did just that, fixed it. Amanda was very accommodating during this period and did not charge me until the unit was fixed. As a aside, I have not heard back from SMEG after 2 weeks since I both emailed them and left phone messages. Therefore, I would NOT recommend SMEG as a brand, but do recommend A J Madison as a place to purchase appliances.
I needed a missing part to safely connect my gas range. I reached out to customer service. Claudia responded promptly and got the part shipped right away. Much appreciated!

I had to call AJ Madison today to update payment for a backorder appliance that is finally in stock, I was assisted by Stella C. and she was able to help me successfully and quickly. I greatly appreciated the ease in the resolution of my issue.
I was curious as to when my things would ship out, so I ordered a washer and dryer online at the beginning of January. I received an email confirmation for the thing I bought, and sat and waited for an update, I finally hopped on to the website to track my shipment, it said it was processing, so I emailed someone in costumer service. Mindy helped me with what was going on, shortage of electronic components, and a pack of some of the hardware caused the wait on my things, she let me know what was up and is shipping the available thing to my home as I type, thanks so much Mindy!
We had a long, hard, frustrating process with a dryer purchased from AJ Madison. It was an open box purchase but came with problems much greater than expected, including a stripped hose valve that clearly indicated that someone had owned the dryer before us. It took a long time and a lot of energy advocating for ourselves to get AJ to send us a new dryer, but they did, in the end. The SOLE reason we got the new one, in my opinion, was because of the work Brittany did on our behalf. She listened to us, advocated for us, and was on top of the whole process. AJ gets 4 for the headache they caused, but Brittany gets 5 stars, no question.
Everything that could go wrong with an order did, shipping to the wrong address, part of the order was missing, and my credit card was charged the wrong amount. A few quick emails with Emily in customer services straightened everything out. Their customer service was beyond expectations.
Recently, I had the experience of dealing with an awesome customer service rep named Glenda. She was extremely compassionate, knowledgeable, and personable and went above and beyond to resolve my issue. She is what great customer service is all about!!
It has been an absolute flawless experience dealing with AJ Madison. The online ordering was a breeze. When I needed to change my order because the original item was back ordered, Leah R. helped me cange my order. The entire transaction was completed within an hour. The delivery company, AM Transportaion, communicated with us from day one to delivery day. They showed up exactly on time, moved the new appliances into the house and unpacked them. The two guys were very friendly and polite. After the items arrived, I was having trouble submitting the rebate form onlie. Once again the customer service was outstanding. Mindy solved my issue within 30 minutes of my first email. I would absolutely purchase from AJ Madison again, and I live in Arizona.
Dryer arrived with evidence of damage in shipping. Ortal Katz, from AJ Madison, was contacted, and a replacement unit was immediately ordered, with expedited shipping. I am very impressed with the customer service, and assistance in engaging with the customer, and resolving the problem.

AJ Madison and specifically the representative Dawn Johnson did a great job handling my issue with a broken ice machine in my fridge that was under warranty. It took awhile to properly diagnose and fix the issue with parts that needed to be tracked down and ordered but they communicated reasonably and stuck with me throughout the process until it was resolved.
We received our Microwave/oven combination yesterday but there was not any instructions or manuals to tell how to work anything and the installers were of no help. But thankfully Glendia in customer service was very helpful in finding the needed information and emailing it to us. Thank you Glendia

I had the misfortune of dealing with other sales representatives in the past who were misinformed and seemingly only interested in getting me off the phone. Michael was the diametric opposite. He was extremely patient in answering all of my questions, knowledgable regarding the answers he was providing, and willing to go the extra mile to achieve the best solution. Michael was not only courteous but also very prompt in providing responses to emails and phone calls, even taking the time to answer questions when he was taking some personal vacation days. I cannot give high enough accolades. Too often today people are doing the bare minimum on the job...Michael went above and beyond to deliver a quality experience!

The appliance I ordered arrived damaged. Despite it being the weekend, customer service responded via email and processed a full refund. Ortal Katz helped me with it. While the damaged delivery was frustrating, AJM made it right quickly.

We ordered a fridge/freezer pair. Due to the current manufacturing and supply issues, we waited a year+ for them to come in. I have had a fantastic experience working with AJ Madison. I don't tend to write reviews, but their service has been so above and beyond what I have experienced with other home goods providers that I felt compelled. I have places several orders with Elijah. He has been super responsive and informative. For example I was concerned about whether a product would fit in the service elevator in my building and he went out of his way to contact the manufacturer to provide detailed packaging dimensions. Appliances have also come when or before they have said they would come. There was a small cosmetic issue from the factory with one appliance and Amanda S. quickly resolved the problem. Ordering was easy and AJMadison had the lowest price by far. There was a very long lead-time for the washer and dryer I was looking to purchase. A sales advisor reached out to ensure I knew about the long lead-time and offered to help me find something else if I preferred. I chose to wait and told them everything was fine. I am glad I did wait because they beat their original estimate by over a month! Unfortunately, for me, I made an error in the order I placed and needed some urgent help. The whole team was understanding and very nice and easy to work with. In particular, Alan really helped minimize the impact of my error. Also, the last mile delivery & install team (AM Trucking) was great too!

After initially prepaying for a water line plus installation on our beautiful, new Cafe refrigerator, we decided to do the installation ourselves to save the $75 cost. The delivery company told me to call AJ Madison to request a refund. When I called, I spoke with their customer service representative, Dawn. She was very friendly, polite, and helpful. Dawn promised to contact the delivery company to confirm what I had told her. She then promptly emailed me with a response that the refund had been approved. We bought all 6 major appliances from AJ Madison and the entire experience and price was excellent. Five years later we had an issue with a warranty reimbursement from a partner company that was going poorly. I worked with Cheryl C. to get the issue resolved. She was amazing and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with our service. We are planning on using them for all future appliance purchasing needs.
We ordered a Bosch dishwasher and it was back ordered for six months due to supply chain issues out of AJ Madison’s control (I couldn’t find it anywhere else, either.) every time I checked in, they got back to me personally and offered other available options. Finally got an email today from Leah that it’s arriving this week. So excited. I appreciate the personal follow up.
I ordered a refrigerator, washer, dryer from here. I'm removing 1 star because the washer was no longer available after I placed the initial order but I was not contacted in any way by AJ Madison about this. I happened to find out and ultimately wanted to cancel the washer/dryer because the replacement wasn't something I was looking for.
Johanna is a customer service lead at AJ Madison. She was TREMENDOUSLY helpful with getting my order corrected as I was having issues correcting it with a different sales rep. I order from AJ Madison because they have the best prices. Even when I moved to Cape Cod, I continue to buy my appliances from them. Recently I ordered a washer and dryer. They assured me that they would be delivered on either Monday or Tuesday. So I took those days off. However it was not the case. The local delivery/installation company could not guarantee those dates. Nobody at AJ Madison cared to help me except for Vanessa. She was so wonderful, caring and got the job done. Even though it turned out that they would come on a Friday morning. Vanessa refunded my installation costs and had genuine compassion and understanding for my situation. Thank You Vanessa.

The shippers did not use proper care/handling and the plate was shattered. I had done some more checking regarding reviews and was really upset about what I read. We were ready to write a bad review. the Bosch dishwasher works great. Service was fine, except the delivery company had some communication issues. They did not deliver as scheduled because we were not home, even though I tried several different communication methods. The dispatcher should have told me there was a special form authorizing delivery but she did not.
In any case, AJ Madison handled it and got us a prompt redelivery with no charge.
I had a delivery issue that I couldn't resolve without some assistance and sent an e-mail to AJ Madison. Amanda responded immediately, indicating that she would resolve the issue; and shortly thereafter I was so happy and relieved to get a follow-up e-mail from her that she had resolved the issue and explaining the outcome. I was hugely impressed with her efficiency and timeliness. Great customer service is a rare commodity but she proved that it does still exist.

I have had issues with several deliveries of my dishwasher. The first one was improperly installed by the third party deliverer and damaged. The second one was dented. Both needed to be replaced. Through all of this Claudia Semilia of AJ Madison has patiently and expertly worked with me to get the replacements and to make sure I feel well taken care of. Her assistance has kept me sane! She completely understands the importance of kind service to a frustrated customer
I called in to get status on an order that website had marked as “in stock” (yet i had not gotten ship confirmation). Ileana Saucedo was my agent. She was very helpful and provided great service. Ileana let me know that my item was in fact out of stock, but provided other “in stock” options by email, which I was able to chose another option from. She then handled the exchange process and provided tracking info for the new item, all without any additional follow upon my side… Very rare in the current environment.
Installation was not completed properly when appliance was delivered on a Friday. I emailed AJMadison to inform them that the delivery company did not provide the complete installation service. Ortal Katz promptly replied. The delivery/installation team returned the following Monday and completed the installation. As I was not able to use the appliance, Ortal Katz issued a partial credit for the installation. Quite happy with the prompt and courteous service.
I purchased all new kitchen appliances for a customer during a home remodel. The in-stock items were shipped immediately with no issues. The other items became further delayed so Mindy reached out to inform me of the delay and gave me plenty of other options for in stock items in case the home owners didn't want to wait. Mindy swapped the order in less than a minute of emailing her the change order and sent the shipping confirmation. Thanks, Mindy! AJ Madison is my go-to for all things concerning appliances.
Cheryl C. at AJ Madison provided excellent customer service! I was notified that a product I ordered 11 mos(!) ago had shipped. For some reason I never get the email that they had planned to ship it. I didn't need the appliance anymore. Cheryl caught the order before it left the warehouse and credited my acct. There was no-push back or disagreements. She totally took charge and fixed the situation in about 10 mins. Rock star!

Amanda is great. During my washer and dryer set delivery, the washer got damaged and I reject both in that delivery. Later the logics delivery company only deliver the good condition washer but forgot dryer. Amanda helped to coordinate finding where the dryer is and arranged the delivery. Just got it today!
I had a problem with delivery of my new dishwashers due to supply chain and other related issues, and Cheryl in customer service helped resovle the problem immediately by identifying in-stock comparable units and expediting crediting me for undelivered units, purchasing new ones, and setting a delivery of the substitutes all within 24 hours of original missed delivery date. I've ordered many appliances from AJ Madison over the years and have generally had a great experience. My last purchase was over a year ago for a washer and dryer and the washer door arrived broken, like the washer had been dropped off the pallet. After more than 12 months of back and forth, Cheryl finally solved my problem. I wish I could have gotten to Cheryl sooner, because she took care of the refund right away. I was originally looking for a replacement, but that is apparently no longer an option. Anyway, problem solved, thanks for Cheryl.
With appliance shortages plaguing the industry, AJ Madison (Leah Reichman) went above and beyond to help me find alternate products that were in stock to fulfill my order in a timely manner. Other big box stores just told me "product is unavailable". What impressed me the most is Leah actually helped find solutions, as a customer I was very grateful.

After a long wait for a Bosch dishwasher it arrived dented. Took a frustrating while to reach customer service but I got incredibly lucky with Maria F. who helped me set up an appointment with a Bosch representative, to change my door. There was quite a bit of back and forth and thankfully Maria did her job perfectly and AJ could use more like her.
I purchased a new refrigerator which originally turned up damaged. I worked directly with Kellee who was awesome! Throughout the process, she made herself available to navigate the return and replacement over a period of 3 weeks (due to backorder). While the first item turned up damaged, these things happen. What’s important is how a company reacts, and I’d 100% recommend AJ Madison due to their amazing service team
When my order arrived one item was missing and one item was damaged. I was really dreading the struggle that I felt I was going to go through to get all this resolved I called and spoke with Cheryl a Customer Service Representative she called the shipping company while was on the phone and found out that shipping company forgot to load one item on the truck. She had them and ship it out priority. Then had a replace shipped out for the damaged item. Cheryl made this the best costumer service experience I have ever had.
I would order through AJ Madison again.
My old dryer suddenly stopped working. I called a repair service that came and quickly diagnosed the problem. However, they could not get the needed part for at least two months due to supply chain disruptions. I had some complaints about the way they did not communicate. Keeping informed about their progress was not easy. I'm not mentioning who because this review is not about them. This review is about AJ Madison.
So, because of my complaints about the repair service, I informed them that I was releasing them from repairing the dryer—no need to come back to finish the repair. And so, in the meantime, my dryer was the way they left it, disassembled, parts all over the place.
I decided that this was the time to get a new washer and dryer set. Maybe the supply chain disruptions would not affect getting a new washer and dryer. And I was in the mood for an upgrade. So I researched and decided on the Miele Washer and Dryer. AJ Madison's website makes it easy to specify parameters such as Energy Star, brand, and dimensions. The dimensions were important because I have a narrow staircase the new machines need to pass down. I found the website product pictures and descriptions very accurate. And I also studied the manufacturers' websites.
I ordered on the AJ Madison website. The website informed me that only the dryer (or maybe it was the washer) was in stock. That meant that the other one was not in stock. Also, the website gave me a choice of having one delivered and then the other or waiting to have both delivered together. And there were other choices such as for installation and removing old machines.
When I contacted AJ Madison, they checked my order. They helped me avoid several ordering mistakes. For example, I had only specified installation for one of the units. Of course, I wanted the installation of both units.
Amanda was the representative. She managed my expectations well. Unfortunately, because of the current supply chain disruptions, the Miele washer and dryer could not be delivered until late June, about three months away. "So," I thought, "ordering new did not avoid supply chain disruptions, after all."
Then, about three weeks later, in May, Amanda emailed me that the machines could arrive in three days. The installers arrived about an hour early, delivered and installed the machines, were personable, and left the machines ready to use.
Then I realized that the installers did not open two of the boxes. So I opened the boxes and saw that I had ordered parts and kits the installers had not used because there was no place to use them. For example, I ordered hookup hoses, but the Miele washer already comes with hookup hoses. I ordered these extra items by my mistake.
I emailed Amanda about returning the unused items for credit. It was no problem. She emailed me Return Authorization Numbers and explained clearly how to send the items back.
Today, she thoughtfully emailed me that AJ Madison received the items, and the credit is being issued.
Because AJ Madison was so easy, pleasant, and considerate of my costs, I would order through AJ Madison again.
The vendor charges a 35% restocking fee and you would have to pay your own shipping if you ever want to return the order which means that if anything went wrong with the order, you are stuck with it forever. Just forget about the return since you will be left with nothing after deducting the restocking fee and shipping of appliances.
Edit: Kellee Moffett from the client support team reached out and clarified the return policy. He responded quickly and resolved the issue in an efficient manner.

Update: 3 stars. I am revising my review upward because Kellee called to address the issues and reviewed my many attempts at getting help with the messed up order. They are issuing me a refund now, which I greatly appreciate. I have kept the review at 3 stars, since it took a massive effort to get to the right answer.
Original: 1 start. Initial ordering was solid/good. However, they sent me the wrong part. Customer service follow up is a disaster. I'm at 8-9 phone calls at this point and it is chaos to try to get a credit for the return.
Working with Leah R. was a real pleasure. She reached out based on my initial order that had a 12 month lead time, helped offer suggestions as far as what else I could chose from that was in stock and was extremely responsive when I was communicating with her via email. Once I had selected a comparable model, I received it within a few days of the order. I also appreciate the order and shipping statuses I was receiving that were prompt and accurate. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the entire buying experience.
I purchased a refrigerator with the Sales Rep, Abie Krup and he was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining the different options and the unit came on time and i was due a partial refund for canceling the haul-away charge prior to delivery and Sarah S. I was a little skeptical ordering my kitchen appliances online, for my kitchen remodel. In fact, my refrigerator and microwave were damaged during shipment, but Erin at AJ Madison worked with me in a timely manner to replace and resolve the issues to my complete satisfaction. Exactly what I expect from great customer service.
It is a nightmare to receive a notice that a tenant's refrigerator stopped working right before a major holiday. Three days before Christmas we received that news along with threats from a very upset tenant expecting holiday guests. AJ Madison had a refrigerator in stock that fit our specifications. It was an expensive model, but we knew it would work great and calm our panicked tenant. Getting it installed in time proved to be more challenging. After being sent to various departments, we spoke with Michelle D., who figured out how to make this happen in time. She was determined and successful under very challenging circumstances. If every service provider was a devoted as she is, life would run a lot smoother. It may be impossible to avoid all problems, but how you deal with the ones that arise make all the difference.
Very thankful to Emily at AJ Madison for providing us with such outstanding service when we had a shipping/availability issue with a stove we purchased. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helped address our concerns expeditiously.

Ordering from AJ Madison was a good and efficient experience — all online via a text chat on their site. The only issue is calling them for any reason on the phone often involves a frustrating loooooooooooong wait time but once you get connected they have very professional, courteous and understanding representatives.
My condo building has very strict requirements for the certificate of insurance and the delivery time window and Cheryl C. @ AJ Madison was simply great. She made sure all my emails were directed to her and took care of everything and kept me informed. Everything went smoothly.
Ileana was helpful in updating ship date on order, however needed to go through billing to do so. Tried on two other occasions, but appeared no one wanted to help, except Ileana. Hope is appliance will be shipped to correct location and delivered towards later part of September per request.

I decided to purchase a Friedrich Chill Premier 10,000 BTU air conditioner from AJ Madison as they are an authorized dealer for Friedrich, my preferred brand of air conditioners. Truth be told, there was a snafu with the delivery. It was supposed to arrive via UPS but wound up coming later via one of AJ Madison's delivery companies called FGO. Despite this mix up, I am giving 5 stars for the excellent customer service from salesperson Jonathan, phone customer representative Emily, and especially Showroom Lead Stacey who untangled the puzzle. Jonathan made the purchase as seamless as possible, Emily was attentive in helping with a solution, and got me in touch with Stacey. ThaStacey re-arranged the delivery, which actually came earlier than it was supposed to! All's well that ends well. Great, empathetic customer service is a plus plus in my book! I placed an order for a washer/dryer package online. Shortly after I received a confirmation email for the order. Subsequently I received a 2nd email stating my credit card was declined ( which was my issue & not AJ Madison’s). I called & got transferred to the billing department. A very personable young lady ( Stella Cutler) promptly answered the phone & proceeded to assist me with my order. A touch of warmth was added to the conversation when her dog barked in the background, as she explained working from home. Being professional should not affect your ability to show a sincere concern for the customer. Stella balanced both attributes. She was truly a pleasure to engage in conversation. AJ Madison was easy to order from, got exactly what we wanted, but delivery was a challenge from AM Trucking. With only one day notice, it was not possible to accept delivery on a day we couldn't be at home, so we had to decline. Getting it delivered after that took an additional 3 weeks, partly due to weather conditions in other states between us and NJ, but also just difficult to communicate with AM. Finally we appealed to AJ Madison about the issue and it was resolved quickly by Amanda W! We would definitely buy from AJ Madison again!!

It’s been over 3 months we FINALLY have an operating double oven only three weeks after it being in use.
I have contacted GE and AJ Madison. 4 attempt to repair it had been made, still not workings.
They refuse to exchange it. How long can you expect the family to sit without a oven to cook for their kids?
Paid close to $2000 + $300 for extended warranty. Funny thing, it’s only for repairs. Pure lie about it being replaced.

So far the experience has been great. It's only been a few days, so I haven't received what we ordered yet but I ordered a washer and dryer over the phone. I didn't realize that there were charges for installation. I contacted the sales person via email and was given an email address for customer service/help. I contacted AJ madison through that help email address and told them that I could install the washer and dryer myself and that it would not be necessary. The promptly refunded me for that portion of the order, so that made me happy.
I have had great luck with AJ Madison during the pandemic and supply shortages they have had appliances in stock and delivered quickly - bought a freezer in 2020 and a washer in 2021. And pleasantly surprised at really responsive customer service from Heather - who quickly found a missing piece from my last order even though I procrastinated for weeks before calling. She was quick, polite and laughed at my lame humor, missing piece was delivered with in days! Thank you

I would rate the AJ Madison site only two stars as the item I was ordering showed in stock ( I would not have ordered the item if it was out of stock). A month later the item showed in stock with a different stock level. But in each case there was actually no inventory. Leah dug into this on my behalf and expedited the item. That was good service fixing a website issue.
I ordered and received a dishwasher and dryer but wasn't able to open them for quite some time due to renovation on our home. When I did finally open them I discovered some minor damages. I worked with Amanda S. on the issues and while not everything turned out to be covered the by manufacturer, I appreciated Amanda's timely responses and customer service mindset as she sought and relayed information from the manufacturer.
On January 4th I reached out to AJ Madison, who had provided a wide range of appliances for our renovated apartment, to try and remedy my confusion about how to register our extended warranties with difference warranty providers. I had been baffled. Dawn Johnson, in their Customer Service department, was incredibly effective in walking me through the process--patient, gracious, professional, and highly competent. She had to track down overlapping orders and items, and different processes for the different providers. And had to follow-up in a second email with additional information. But she was amazing, and I was grateful for her help. Thanks, Dawn!
The Dishwasher arrived with no front lower trim panel and the installation kit recommended by the A.J. Madison site was incorrect.
Numerous emails had been sent to both customer service and the damage department. All previous Reps did nothing to resolve the issues.
Amanda S. actually read the email completely and was able to take actions to resolve.

I work for a construction company. I used AJ Madison to order a fridge and dishwasher for one of my projects. The whole process was very smooth. The dishwasher I had originally wanted ended up being backordered. Leah R. helped me switch to a similar dishwasher that was in stock. That helped my project stay on schedule.
Great after sales service team. As with all retailers, we ran into a couple of issues with delivery and defective products after our client used it for a few months, but with consistent follow ups, we were able to find a good solution that you may not find with other big box retailers. We will be ordering from AJ Madison for all our project needs.

This was not my first time ordering from AJ Madison and it won't be my last based on the quality of the customer service team.
We had a delightful experience working with an AJ Madison Design Center in ordering five appliances for our kitchen remodel. We had selected a set of mid-range appliances from the AJ Madison website and the sales representative quickly worked up a proposal at a nicely discounted price. We were not pressured to purchase any extended warrantees in fact he assumed we did not want them. He was also helpful in suggesting a delivery option that would best meet our needs. When one of the appliances proved to be unavailable in our remodel timeframe, the sales representative quickly responded to my email with a replacement product suggestion which I accepted. This product was not on the AJ Madison website. When only half of our order was shipped the sales representative responded to my email with a revised delivery date for the rest of our order using tracking resources not available on line. Our remaining order was delivered in time for the beginning of our remodel project.
AJ Madison delivered as promised! Sonny was excellent organizing our Five Star 48” range purchase. AM Trucking delivered and installed our new range, and removed our existing range with no damage. Alan took care of a billing issue. We were initially reluctant to use a national appliance vendor for this purchase, but the process was uneventful and AJ Madison has a customer for life.
product and delivery were excellent but my follow up to utilize the extended warranty I purchased was less than any customer would hope. Oven stopped working on a Monday. I received 4 activation codes on Thursday with an apology for not knowing what code went with what appliance. This is problematic seeing as the service provider requires the matching verification code to the model/ serial number. I'll be curious to see what $400+ in extended warranty gets me and how long I wait for a simple replacement part.
Our CSR Claudia turned a potential unpleasant situation into a "win". It's not how you start, it' how you finish! My oven/microwave combo arrived and was installed without issue. Once in use, we had some bugs to work out. Claudia was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to offer solutions. I am pleased with the customer service she provided and happy to say that our issue has been resolved.
The good: The product arrived on time and undamaged.
The bad: the process to get there was excruciating. Hold times of 30 minutes to an hour to place oders or ask questions. Emails go unanswered for days. And to be clear they will not do price adjustments (machine appears to have dropped in price $600 right after I purchased) Clearly they have more than enough business because they just don't care.
Follow up: Raised it a star. They reached out to me and made an effort to address the issue.

I placed an order for GE Monogram appliances with AJ Madison 2 months ago and noticed that there was a rebate for GE Monogram from GE M's website. I called AJ Madison to see if I could get the same rebate and Jacob Dahan helped me out and was incredibly friendly and resourceful. He was able to get all of my appliance orders placed and I was able to confirm the invoiced amount in real time via email as well as see the order get updated in my cart. It's been two months now and half of my order has been recieved. I reached out to get an ETA for the remainder of my order and Rivky Kaufman has been very responsive and helpful. He checked on my order right away and shipped out my dishwasher that they just received shipement for. Overall, very happy with the service. Will update once the appliances are opened and installed!
Cheryl in Customer Service was super helpful in correcting the mix up when the wrong washing machine was delivered. And the AJ Madison installation guys were very knowledgeable. They removed the wrong machine and installed the new one quickly and efficiently. Thanks so much Cheryl!
We ordered a Fisher and Paykel double fridge setup through AJ Madison. We couldn't find one anywhere and they had them in stock. We got the fridge and it came damaged in transit. Dented drawer and a small dent on the side. I reached out to AJ Madison and Maria responded from their warranty department. She made the process really easy to submit a claim. They are sending me a new freezer drawer and gave me compensation for the dent on the side of the fridge. I was impressed with Maria and her quick response and help with my problem. Would recommend!
My online ordering experience was very efficient and easy, but I wasn't clear about when delivery would be so I sent a message to ask. Mindy emailed me right back to let me know she was expediting shipping so my appliance would come in just a few days. In a time when a lot of machines are back-ordered, I am grateful to be able to replace my broken dishwasher quickly and have customer service who responds quickly with updates.
My online ordering experience was very efficient and easy, but I did have to split my shipment at no cost since one of the items was not in stock. Mindy was great with helping me with the shipment of my second item (built-in beverage cooler) and she was very helpful with having it shipped to a different address where we would be for the holidays. I am very satisfied with the customer service I received from Mindy, and Rivky who helped me with the purchase of my built-in wine cooler.

AJ Madison and especially Amanda W. provided excellent customer support to me in taking care of an issue where I had received a couple of appliances that were damaged in transit. Even though it had been my responsibility to find and report the damage in a timely manner, as per the returns policy instructions, I had missed doing that owing to inexperience and distractions. Even so, AJ Madison continued to give me the outstanding customer service and support which I have been used to receiving when purchasing from them before. They kept with the spirit of their returns policy rather than the letter of it and made sure that I would get the replacements that I wanted rather than being stuck with the damaged items. I ordered a new washer/dryer set by telephone and the sales rep, Howard, was very efficient and knowledgable. He added in all of the hoses, plugs etc. so I was all set for installation. The delivery/installation guy was right on time! The text alerts were awesome too. 5 stars for that!! I will order from AJ Madison again. They made the entire experience easy and pleasant plus the price was great.
I purchased a full set of kitchen appliances from AJ Madison. They arrived promptly. Unfortunately, through no fault of the company, my refrigerator arrived damaged. I called to report the damage and lucky received Alan Wong on the customer service line. He was awesome! I sent pictures directly to him while he was on the call, he quickly validated the damage and within 2 hours my replacement fridge was on order. Additionally, Alan went above and beyond to locate an available unit at another location so it could get to me faster. Great prices and truly wonderful service from Alan!
This is not our first time using AJ Madison. As always their service was excellent. Rivky helped us to identify washer and dryer stackable sets that were available for delivery, made changes to our order and organized delivery. Thank you again for the great service.
We had a problem with a damaged appliance during delivery. When we communicated with the manager of customer service, Claudia, she was wonderful. She coordinated us getting a replacement door and also sent someone to install it. She made sure that we were satisfied with everything! Thank you, Claudia!!! You are the best!!

This review is mainly for Amanda S, who helped iron out an inventory issue and got me my range in two days. Much appreciated! And the range is gorgeous, delivery was easy. Real-time text message updates made it very convenient.
I have to tell you, I have been a real pain in the neck today - but Stella in the billing department and Maria in customer service have gone above and beyond!!! They have responded in a very timely manner - in fact I was being so difficult, I was afraid to go back to my email - for fear nothing could be done. Maria got back to me immediately - within minutes as each part of the drama unfolded!!!
We have been delighted - two of our appliances arrived very quickly. As I checked on the other two - we were thrilled that the dishwasher would be shipped yesterday. We had understood it would be February before it arrived. At that same time we confirmed that the refrigerator was still delayed and we could expect it April 11, 2022! We thought we would hold our breath, but order from another source as the kitchen has been torn out and we are operating out of another house. Imagine our delight when we were told both items were shipping this week - several, several phone calls, and some long waiting times to try to confirm. However, each time I got either Stella or Maria - different story - got me the answers is a very timely way!!!

Great Customer Service! I ordered a small stove and received top notch service the whole way through. From Grace who helped me with the order to Cheryl who remedied things when it arrived damaged (SHIPPING issue, NOT AJ Madisons!) it was all handled very professionally and with a smile. Will definitely shop here again when the need arises.
I recently placed a large order from AJ. I received an email from them (Leah) stating the product is on back order and will take about 6 months or more to deliver. Unfortunately, that timeframe was unacceptable for my business. I reached out to express my dismay and requested to cancel the order. With no difficulties or complications, my order was cancelled, and money refunded promptly. I really appreciate this kind of customer services. I gave 4 stars because of the excessive delivery described, but with the customer service, I will shop with AJ in the future.

A couple weeks ago, I ordered a dishwasher that I thought was quickship ready but when I never got a shipping notice, I reached out to customer service. Mindy quickly responded with the delivery timeframe (not an in stock item and with all the supply chain problems, going to be more than 6 weeks to get the product in), and she gave me a whole list of dishwashers which were in stock and could ship out ASAP. I selected one and she had the order corrected to the new product in minutes. Thank you Mindy!
Our refrigerator arrived with a dent in it in October. Customer service has been outstanding trying to remedy the situation. As repairing was not an option, due to the rural area where we live, AJ Madison is shipping another refrigerator to us. AND, they are kindly waiting until April to ship us the new one as we live in "snow country" and did not want to deal with "how to get the refrig up our slippery road" during the winter. We can use the dented refrigerator in the meantime and will donate it to someone when the new one arrives. Many thanks to Claudia Semilia for working through this with us.
