Our Asko dishwasher began malfunctioning, and I started working with another service company who was extremely difficult to get on their books. I decided to call Uptown Appliance and I am SO glad I did. They booked a technician right away, were very thorough outlining the issues (we needed a few new parts), and once the parts were ordered and arrived, they immediately called me to book service again. The service provider, Anthony, was on time, professional, and very knowledgeable. He was able to fix our dishwasher! I will 100% use Uptown Appliance again and hope to requests Anthony as well.

I called Uptown Appliance Repair for a failed Bosch dishwasher. Brooke professionally took my call for service late on a Friday for service the following Tuesday. David arrived on time with his booties on to keep my floor clean. He diagnosed the issue and said someone would get back with me shortly. When I got back to my office their was already a quote for the repair. Jason followed up later that day to answer any questions that I may have. Great customer service!

I have used these guys to repair an oven, washer and wine cooler in the past. I called them for washer repair. I had one anomalous washer repair experience. However, the management was quickly responsive and fixed the matter same day. They have a 2 year warranty on most work, which is great.

I recently had my oven repaired by Uptown Appliance. David came out the day after I called to assess the issue and quickly determined the problem. Once the ordered parts arrived, I was able to schedule the actual repair at a time that was convenient to me. Anthony repaired the oven, demonstrated for me that the parts were working well, and answered all of my questions. Both David and Anthony were professional and friendly. And I appreciated that, though the service window I was given was 4-5 hrs long, both David and Anthony arrived within the first hour, freeing up the rest of my day.

Great communication from start to finish. First guy came out and took less than five minutes to assess the problem. Anthony came out after the part was ordered and took less than 30 minutes to get the dishwasher working. Only negative is the time window for them to come out; they’re too vague. We scheduled for an 8am-1pm, which can be difficult if you have a busy schedule and no one is home. All-in-all five stars and two thumbs up.

Update: Had a warranty repair needed on my washer. George came out (having a text alert 15 minutes ahead is very handy!) and got the problem fixed quickly. Very polite and very professional. Appointments were quick. Both the diagnostic tech and the repair tech were polite and competent. Both respected the COVID guidelines for masking and distancing. Prices are high but I figure I pay a premium to avoid having to do the work myself. Warranty for the work is acceptable for the cost. Would use them again in the future.

I had an issue with my Thermador dishwasher and called Uptown Appliance. They are new to the Dallas area and did a wonderful job. They were able to send a technician the same day I called, which was so nice. Carlos came out within the given timeframe and was great! He was very nice, professional and courteous. He fixed the issue with no problem and had my dishwasher running properly again in no time. I even asked if he could tighten the handle on my dishwasher that had been loose for a couple years and he fixed that, too. I will definitely use them again!!

After calling Kitchenaid when my ice maker was on the blink, they set me up with their "preferred provider" -- another company that shall remain unmentioned. The soonest appointment they could give me was was 2 weeks out. Not one to pay attention to email addresses I don't recognize, I missed that the "preferred provider" sent me a notice a couple of days before my scheduled visit (12 days after the visit was scheduled) that I would have to prepay $150-something before they would come out. Since the fee wasn't paid, the appointment was canceled. Darn! Two weeks without my ice maker and now another delay... I prepaid and they rescheduled me a week later. Unfortunately, no one showed up all day. Finally, I called and texted (they offer that option) at 5 PM. No answer, no response. They close at 5 PM and it was a Friday. I left a message and they texted back the following Monday to tell me that they didn't have a good phone number for me and it would be another week before they could get me on the schedule again. What?? I finally told them just to refund my money and I would find someone else to come fix my ice maker. It was then that I checked Google and found Uptown. Let me tell you that 700+ people who reviewed this company did not steer me wrong! They got me on the schedule and came out quickly. David did the diagnostics and as soon as the parts came in, Anthony came out and did the repairs. Both were very professional and the entire process took just barely over a week. Thank you so much! Uptown will be my "preferred provider" moving forward.

I have to admit, this is the first time that I have given a five star review for a service provider that was actually unable to render service. Despite the fact that part unavailability made the repair impossible, the experience of working with the team from Uptown was very pleasant. When my three year old microwave went on the fritz, I called Uptown to assess the situation and get me back up and running. I was immediately delighted to learn that they were able to accommodate a next day appointment. as promised I received an email with my appt details and a text message from the technician 20 minutes before arrival. The tech was polite, knowledgeable and honest in his assessment. While Uptown wasn’t able to demonstrate their repair expertise this time, they were absolutely on point when it came to showing their professionalism. I will be sure to use Uptown in the future for my appliance repair needs.

We have used Uptown Appliance on two occasions now. Once was for a refrigerator repair for my mother-in-law and the other was for a diagnostic of our dishwasher. The refrigerator repair was to fix an ice maker that would continuously freeze up and the issue with the dishwasher was that it wouldn’t pump water for the wash cycle. We are extremely pleased with both services. The repairmen that showed up were professional, very knowledgeable and courteous. They took the time to explain the issues and what would be involved in the repairs. We received the repair quotes via a text link. There have been zero issues for the repairs that were performed. We are very happy and will be using Uptown Appliance again.

Probably not more than 15 min to open up machine and figure out the problem; diagnosed the problem to which unfortunately, per Off Mgr Bobby (whom was also pleasant and efficient) replacement parts were no longer made thus my washer couldn't be repaired. As such ...since they couldn't fix it...they didn't charge for the service call...very professional in my view. Most excellent service and interaction.

David/technician arrived within the scheduled window. I also received a heads-up that the technician was on the way prior to his arrival. David was professional and courteous throughout the visit. He wore a mask, gloves, and booties without prompting. He also put a blanket down on the floor to avoid scratching anything. He explained what he was doing throughout the process as well as provided some tips on how to keep the appliance maintained for the future. I'll definitely be calling Uptown Appliance for future needs; hopefully I won't need to talk to them that often though.

Initially, I was not impressed with Uptown Appliance. We had to have a technician come out a couple of different times to diagnose/fix our refridgerator and dishwasher. Best service I have received on an appliance. David was prompt, professional, friendly and knew what he was doing. We have had a mysterious leak on our Kitchenaid refrigerator for 3/4 months with it dumping about 6/8 ounces of water about every 2/3 weeks. Oscar came out and was very knowledgeable and professional. He troubleshot some potential issues and the dryer started working again. A few hours after he left, the dryer stopped working. The owner sent Oscar back out the very next day, and took the time to go over the dryer with a fine toothed comb. Turns out the issue calls for an electrician to service the physical outlet. I was not charged for the second visit, and I got to learn something in the process. Great customer service, and I would recommend them to my friends and family!!!

After getting a second opinion, it was a completely different part that needed replacing. I tried to call uptown back to speak to my technician to ask some follow up questions but was not able to speak to him again. Had I replaced the part they recommended, my refrigerator would still not be working and I’d have to pay for another very expensive part.

Called upon recommendation for a powerless dishwasher. They came out within a day, and diagnosed the issue. It was a power board that even the manufacture representative couldn’t get for six weeks, and Uptown got one in four or five days. They input a new part, and found there was an additional issue with it. They promptly ordered the additional part and have the machine up and running within just a few days. The total cost of the repair was very competitive and fair. A special recognition of our technician, Oscar. Oscar worked tirelessly to get the machine up and running, and it did not look like an easy job. He was thorough, very professional, wore a mask the whole time, and represented the company very well I can certainly recommend uptown appliance.

My experience with Uptown Appliance Repair was extremely good beginning to end. Manuel was dispatched and at my house in less than an hour. He was very professional and came dressed with shoe coverings to protect our floors. He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a repair estimate. Because the repair on the 11 year old refrigerator was more than half the cost of a new one, we decided to buy a new refrigerator instead. Uptown’s customer service person Bobby agreed that was the sensible decision, rather than trying to talk us into spending that much on an old fridge. Was all in all a very good and very friendly experience. I will definitely use them again.

Disappointed in the service received by Uptown Appliance Repair. Even though the technician was on time at the beginning of the service window (which was appreciated), he was rude and didn't clearly communicate with me. He roughly handled our expensive Viking Range and left before he even made sure the oven was working properly after fixing. He was in and out of our house in 30 minutes and I was charged $300 for labor, which is exorbitant based on the little time the technician spent fixing our range. We noticed the knob that was replaced was the incorrect color, but unfortunately the technician had left before we could tell him. At the end of the day the oven was fixed! Update: First thing the next day I got a call from the owner, Bobby, and asked how the service was and after explaining the situation he offer a sincere apology based on my experience. Bobby went above and beyond to remedy the situation and to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the plan moving forward. I really appreciate that the owner taking the time to reach out and hear my experience, which not many companies do. An additional part was found to be defective during the servicing of the oven and will call Uptown Appliance Repair to fix this issue as they are truly focused on provided great customer service!

I had the same experience this time as the last time I called them. EXCELLENT, PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. Their technician, CARLOS, arrived on time. He was neat and clean, and even covered his shoes to keep my house clean. He quickly diagnosed the problem. We had overloaded the washer and the cycle would not continue. After the load was reduced, it began to work properly again. Carlos ran it through a complete cycle to verify it was working properly. He did not try to sell us any expensive unnecessary repairs, just educated us about the problem and offered to return if the problem came back again. You can trust these guys! They are not there to rip you off. If you have an expensive problem, it is not their fault, but if you do not have an expensive problem, they don't seem to try and "manufacture one"

Uptown Appliance repaired our Viking cooktop by replacing two igniters. The first visit was an assessment and the second visit was to complete the repair. Each technician that came to our home was professional, courteous, and efficient. I also felt safe each time, as the techs were wearing masks. Although they were a little more expensive, they are local, you can call them directly, and they guarantee their work. I used Uptown Appliance to repair my wine cooler. The cooling unit had to be replaced. They charged me $2717 for a new unit. After replacing I went on line to get the operating manual for it. The exact unit they purchased was $1,299! I contacted Uptown several times via phone and email. Their response via phone was I was charge correctly and they never replied via email. I refused to pay the installation charge of $530 until they responded to my email and they never did. These are the facts, draw your own conclusions on if you want to do business with this company for anything. The owner called me after I posted this review. Very impressive. He addressed my concerns in a more than reasonable way. Its not often you get the owner of a company to get directly involved in these type of issues. It speaks a lot about his concern for customer satisfaction, I can now fully recommend using this company. If you have an issue it will most likely get addressed.

We have recently returned to Houston and and moved into our new home late November. I of course don’t have a cadre of contractors that I am familiar with, but needed an appliance repair pretty quickly when our washing machine seemed to be on the fritz. I checked Yelp and was impressed with the reviews of Uptown Appliance so gave them a call. The scheduler said they could have a tech out to our place the next morning to diagnose the problem and give me an estimate on the repair before he left. The tech Oscar showed up within the window of time scheduled and not only diagnosed the problem but fixed the issue on the spot. That was great, but as he was leaving the driveway I realised I hadn’t talked to him about a second appliance problem that we had. I flagged him down as he was driving off and he graciously came back to the house to look at a wine cooler that wasn’t working properly. He gave me his diagnosis but said they would have to call back with an estimate since it would require a parts search. I got a call from the owner Bobby later the same afternoon with a price for a replacement control unit, and also the advice that it was probably a better bet to replace the unit than to repair it based on the part price. How great is that! Both Oscar and Bobby were gracious, and professional. I will definitely use Uptown again if I run into any other appliance issues.

Noticed that our dryer wasn’t drying clothes/towels/sheets properly. Saw that Uptown Appliance had good reviews, so decided to try them. They came out and discovered that the heating element needed to be replaced. The only issue we had was that we were only told about needing 1 part, but 2 parts were needed, and 1 part was held up by the winter storm. So, the repair took longer than expected. However, the owner, Bobby, was willing to waive the fee for them coming out if we decided to cancel and go a different route to get it fixed. We were very appreciative of that and decided to wait. As soon as the part came in, they had it installed the next day. Everyone we dealt with at the company - Joe, Jason, Bobby, Jasmine, and the tech who came to install the parts (can’t remember his name!) - were friendly, professional and helpful. We recommend this company for any appliance repairs that you need.

Our dishwasher wasn't working so we contacted Uptown, and they sent David out the next day. They came in the window they committed and texted 10 minutes before he arrived. He even wore booties in the house. He diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and answered questions about the best/worst dishwashers on the market in case a replacement was needed which it was as the motor was on backorder and two thirds the cost of a new machine. I will call them again the next time we have an issue with any of our appliances.

He tested both and didn't spill ice chips, like I usually do. Manuel and Freddy came out today to replace a part on our Cavaliere vent hood. They were so professional. Did the work quickly. Checked it thoroughly. And even polished the stainless. Appointments for diagnosis and then part replacement were available within a couple days and technicians showed up within the agreed window of time. We had put off making this repair for several months because we had a bad experience with someone from Mr. Appliance who was not honest about the cost of the part or the time it would take to repair. Had issues with our Samsung washer and they sent out a technician for a estimate and he let us know what the issues were and what the next steps were after we had someone from another company say they couldn't help us because the part was no longer available (that was a lie) so we were out the service fee from prior!! They came out right away, confirmed what I needed and within two days had the part. It took my home warranty company over 2 weeks to find someone to repair it and finally they told me to go a head and find my own service company. I called for an appointment early in the day and was scheduled for early afternoon the same day. The tech showed up on time wearing a face mask, rubber gloves, and booties for his shoes. He was courteous, professional and equipped with the right tools, computer, and phone. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and informed me that a new pump was needed for the washing machine and that he had the pump in inventory on his truck. He put me in contact with his manager who informed me of the price for the repair. The tech then installed the pump and tested the part making certain it was performing correctly. The work is warranted for two years. The entire process took about an hour. Everything was A+ from start to finish. I had previously used this company to repair two dryers and my experience was the same. This company is very service oriented and provides a quality customer experience.

I contacted Uptown Appliance Repair (UAR) for the first time today, and the repair specialist sent was very professional and helpful as he was able to pinpoint quickly the issue causing my refrigerator leak (didn't even have to pull it out). Due to the age of my refrigerator, I will not incur the cost of the full defrost kit proposed since there was a simple work-around identified that I will undertake that will solve most of the issues. UAR indicated they would not charge me for the diagnostic visit even though I'm not incurring any additional work. I've had a ton of issues with my Samsung washer that Samsung was unwilling to rectify. The buttons on our oven had gone out so we called Uptown to come out and take a look. There was a service charge but that would be discounted if we used their service. No big. That's pretty standard. I’m not one for reviews usually but I wanted to let you know how happy I am with the service I received from your employees. About two months ago my Wolf range started to act up, providing an annoying beeping that went on for ages whenever I cooked anything. When I called Uptown Appliance to make a service appointment I was greeted by a very courteous and knowledgeable receptionist. They scheduled an appointment for the following week and at my request they were kind enough to keep an eye out for any earlier cancellation. Sure enough within minutes they called back & my appointment was moved up a few days! Excellent customer service. Doesn’t end there. The morning of my service appointment, they called me to let me know that a technician was on his way and he arrived on time as scheduled (on the earlier side of the appointment window, when does that happen!?!). Manuel was great, he was courteous, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Now when I say “work with” I kind of literally mean it, I pretty much hovered over his shoulder and probably asked way too many questions. Manuel happily indulged me & did an excellent job, the range is back in service & working great ever since!!! Flash forward to last week... my washing machine started leaking. Excellent! I called Uptown Appliance and after a brief “hey how are you” chat, they scheduled me with another appointment, calling me back with an earlier cancellation again. –Uptown Appliance, you’re awesome! The tech who came to my house was professional and was more than willing to comply with my requests for PPE...was wearing a mask; put on gloves I gave him, put on shoe covers when I requested, and maintained social distance. He also cleaned the floor around the washing machine after he completed the job. He told me the drum was broken on my machine, and that Uptown would have to call me on pricing for repair. Uptown called within an hour and very honestly told me that the cost of repair would be more than purchasing a new machine. They also did not charge me their standard fee for the service call. I am so grateful to have found Uptown Appliance Repair! Our old Bosch dishwasher stopped working -- perhaps due to the sudden onslaught of cooking and washing dishes for three meals a day with my family home due to COVID. We needed to get it working quickly and Uptown came out the next morning to diagnose the problem. We were nervous to have a worker inside our home after nearly four months of social distancing, but each technician that came to our home wore a mask, gloves, and booties and were very considerate. A part had to be ordered and it did take longer than overnight due to the age of our dishwasher and the initial receipt of a faulty part. They completed this repair, and also handled a few additional repairs without additional charges (such as a broken door spring ) that appeared along the way and were not caused by any fault of their work (such as a broken door spring). They even nailed back the quarter-round that had to be removed to pull out the dishwasher. I am thrilled to have my dishwasher working better than ever and to have found this business. He found that the issue was caused by an electrical issue in the wall rather than the appliance within the first 10 minutes, but opened up the stove top anyway to look for more potential damage. I want to give a "shout-out" to Uptown Appliance Repair in Houston. Their business is one of those tricky services that requires technical expertise (of course) alongside good, ethical judgement. My problem unit was a CellarPro 3200VSi wine cooler. The system was showing seriously diminished cooling capability. I was unsure what the problem was (low refrigerant, controller problem, failed compressor, etc.). I wanted to explore whether the unit could be repaired (it was only 5 years old .... "jeesh"). I found Uptown Appliance Repair online as having experience with wine coolers. I made an appointment and got very prompt next day service. Their Covid-masked tech was able to determine in about five minutes that the problem was a coolant leak in the evaporator coil. About 30 minutes later, I got a call from home base with an estimate for the repair cost and a strong accompanying recommendation not to try the repair, I was disappointed but appreciated the straight-up honesty. I then inquired about the house call fee. To my surprise (and astonishment in these crazy 2020 times), they waived the service fee and simply said to let them know if they could help me or my friends sometime in the future. How's that for for focused customer service!!! Five Stars for Uptown Appliance Repair.

We asked then to repair a 10-year-old ice maker and a 45-year-old electric range and stove top. We had an issue with wrong parts sent by the supplier to Uptown the first time. They found a different supplier and got the parts. The job took a bit longer than I hoped, but Covid-19 was causing supplier issues beyond Uptown’s control. Carlos was our repair guy and he was fast, courteous, and competent. Bobbie (the manager) was responsive and kept us in the loop. I think they are a bit pricy (labor charge a bit high), but they got here very timely, diagnosed the issues properly, and did quality work.

Great experience with this place, especially after being quoted a much higher price for the same work by a competitor. When I called Uptown for a price estimate over the phone, the price I was quoted did not include the shipping charge the appliance manufacture charged Uptown who then passed that cost on to me. It's no big deal, I would expect to pay for shipping for parts. I just felt like it should have been made more clear in the quote I received over the phone. Other than that somewhat minor quibble, I was very happy with the work performed, the promptness of repair technician and pleasant interactions with Bobby over the phone and the fact that the work is under warranty for two years. I will definitely remember Uptown if I need any appliance repairs in the future. They are now my go to appliance repair shop!

My kitchen vent was making a very loud noise a month ago, they came to evaluate the problem. The technician told me that it needed a new motor because of wear in the motor bearing. They ordered the parts from Germany and replaced it very quickly. A month later, the vent stopped working again. I called them, and a technician came a few hours later. He fixed it by opening up the vent and connecting some loose wires. The original repair cost was a little bit expensive (German parts and international shipping), but they honored the 2-year warranty and didn't charge me for the second repair. I would recommend them for appliance repairs.

Our 5yr old KitchenAid dishwasher was not cleaning well. Called this repair company because they had 2yr warranty on the repair. Turns out the circulation pump/motor would need to be repaired and would cost $450 to fix. They were honest about the cost of replacement parts and labor and recommend not fixing and buying a new one, which is what I would have concluded as well. Though I cannot comment on their repair abilities, I can say that they do care about customer service. If I need an appliance repair in the future, I would call them.

Responded quickly but did not bring the part I requested to fix the issue. They called me back that day and wanted $ 321 for the part plus labor. I bought the part from a local parts house for $8. I told them about it and they said it didn't surprise them. I don't mind companies making a profit but 40X the cost seems a bit high. Update -- Bobby the owner called me back and explained it was his mistake and had a incorrect part number. I believe him and was glad he took responsibility for the error. My subzero fridge was flashing the “service" light when I returned from a trip, and when my attempt to clean out the condenser did not fix the problem I knew I needed some help. I called Uptown Appliance Repair on Saturday. I was able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning but didn't expect much because I am extremely skeptical of businesses that have multiple good reviews from people who have just one review posted. So when my phone rang before 8AM and the technician showed up 30 minutes later, I was pleasantly surprised. Once the technician reviewed my appliance he was able to determine the cause immediately and offered to service it right then and there. He had the replacement motor in the company vehicle so he was able to replace the old one and properly clean the condenser. I appreciated that he made sure the work area was clean and was very thorough and used shoe covers while inside my house. Yes, I could have gotten the replacement motor for much cheaper (and yes, this service visit was costly) but within a couple of hours after the technician left, my fridge was running at normal temp and I am glad a professional did the job instead of me. While I hope that I don't have something else go wrong in the near future, if it does I know who to call again.

The vent wasn’t drawing property into the exhaust duct in the cupboard above the unit. These gentlemen took the microwave down and figured out what needed to be done to remedy the problem. They moved the exhaust duct in the cupboard back so it draws property and also relocated the outlet for the unit. The exhaust fan works properly now and there is no hint of any smell from whatever I’m microwaving! I highly recommend Uptown Apprliances!

The tenant at my rental property was having an issue with the washing machine not draining. Uptown went out and found that the drain hose was just clogged inside the body of the machine where the tenant could see it looking through the hose.
