I came to Kaimuki because I forgot some equipment back home; when I came to Hawaii for vacation. When I entered the store I was received very politely and was helped with getting the equipment I needed. I was also briefed on how to use the equipment's features which I was very thankful for; you usually don't find big retail stores doing that. Also, I did enjoy the conversation that I had with the people there.
Overall I was very pleased with my experience in this store. And will have this store as my go-to camera store when in Hawaii.

Customer service was great. The couple that run this store are super helpful and nice.
They took the time to explain what different lenses do and what is that I need.
I'd go back just to chat with them again.
Super nice !

Incredibly helpful every time I've gone in. The owners took the time to show me tips and cool extra features with the tripod I bought. Very comfortable buying from them and would recommend to anyone looking for gear.

The owners we're very welcoming and knowledgeable when it came to camera equipment and accessories. They definitely knew more than me, so it was nice to learn new things from them. If I'm every in Honolulu again, I will be stopping by for all my camera/photography needs. Always love to support local businesses, I highly recommend this place.

I searched in all the wrong places. Like walmart, target etc. This is the only real camera store around for miles. Check them out for your needs.

They are my go to spot for my printing gear and paper. Super nice people and they have a great selection of papers (and more in back if you're looking for something specific). Prices match what I can get on Amazon BUT I can get it today and not have to wait.
They don't carry Nikon gear though (and I'm one of THOSE people)... so my camera gear itch isn't scratched. But if you shoot Canon, it's the place to go.

Came to buy a battery and charger as I left my 5D3 battery charger behind. The owner (Neil I think) was very friendly and accommodating on the phone and in person. I shopped for a new strap while there and he showed me several models, unboxed them and took the time to fit them on my camera and on me. I couldn’t ask for better or more attentive service!

I’ve been to this tiny shop a couple of times on previous visits. My only complaint is simply about the size of the place. The itty bitty storefront has maybe fifty sq ft of customer space and due to the current Covid restrictions (Oct 2020) only one customer is allowed in at a time. There is hardly room for more anyway, but oh well.
I called about availability of the R6 body only and they had them on hand, while CanonUSA was back ordered on them. Pro camera also had an R6 but only the kit lens version. I stopped by to get the R6 and all was good; they also had the R5 which was also b-o at Canon. They also had the RF100-500 L in stock AND the RF extenders. I was quite surprised actually that they had this inventory. As far as service is concerned I had great service. I did get a little of a “rushed” vibe from the lady but not from the fellow, who answered my barrage of questions regarding the R6 vs R5.
I was moving up from the EOS R but not certain which to get for my usage.
After a bit I finally realized that the hurry sensation was purely legitimate as they were closing shortly and there were two customers waiting outside! If anything, I owe the shop an apology for not seeing that I was holding people up.
